Nuzi Week Day7: Family Day
I bet most of you expected a pic of n/uzi with a family of their own but eh...i just don't see it yet. Instead here's a sweet (AU) pic where they're having a family picnic with nori/khan <3
;_; Also so sorry about the sloppy/meh coloring here. i TRIED FOR DAYS....even up to today to make this work and just...eh....i'm so sorry ;_; still, i hope that ep.8 will inspire more arts to come. Nuzi week has been a BLAST and i'm sad to see it go.

Silly warmup sketch foreshadowing part of the new animation. I (somehow) got some insanely talented VA's to voice for it, so the pressure is officially on now...

Obscure Murderdrones Fact #7
Tumblr media
Source: Murderdrones Episode 1
Timestamp: 4:45
Subject: Khan’s Room Is Very Disturbing
It’s no secret that Khan is a concerning individual. The sentiment holds when we take a look at his personal environment.
Immediately noticeable is his habit of tracking ideas with sticky notes, much like his daughter. But distinguished is the disturbing contents of these records.
“Doors > Uzi” affirms a bold, uncomfortable, but unsurprising reality to his apparent favoring of his technological achievement over his own child (which only begs more questions considering the doors are apparently sentient.) But what truly makes this disconcerting is its evidence that Khan is very, very aware of his stance, and believes it enough to proclaim it openly on his wall. Why does he feel the need to do this?
Moving up, arguably more distressingly, a note reads “New Idea: Monthly Subscription Based Doors?”
Khan’s Doors are the only thing keeping out sky demons. Why would Khan feel the need to charge for this? How would this even work? Who is paying? Paying for individual protection seems farfetched, given the doors are an all-or-nothing protective measure.
Is he considering charging the other outposts for access to his technology? That makes marginally more sense, assuming that the outposts aren’t directly linked (big assumption here,) and that one failed door wouldn’t a breach all Outposts.
Perhaps the concept is charging subscription for regular doors, and thus limiting the non-subscribed access to their own quarters or other Outpost 3 locations. That may be the best-case scenario.
Finally, it’s obligatory to mention the photograph. Interestingly, Nori’s segment of the family photo appears charred away by a Dissasembly Drone’s Nanite Acid. It’s fitting, given the acid is what spurred her “death” to begin with, but how did the photo itself become damaged?

Murder Drones Au where Uzi is a just a fucking door and Khan's love for Doors is just him adoring his daughter.
While constructing the doors, Khan and Nori built Project Unified Zone Intelligence, an AI program that has full access to the entire bunker with the purpose of maintaining and protecting its occupants from Disassembly Drones and environmental threats caused by the planet's toxic atmosphere.
Everything begins with Khan making a joke about the Project being the closest they'll get to having an actual child, which sparked the ever brilliant idea between the two to give the AI a personality and sentience by mixing both of their codes and modifying it to fit the systems non-Worker Drone programming and formatting. Of course the AI is no use if it's infected by the Absolute Solver, so with a bit (read: a lot) of tinkering on Nori's side with the Cross Patch, Uzi was born!
A few things/events/facts to note for this AU:
When they first released the Untrained Neutral Network into the system, they limited her access to just Doors and lights. Having told none of the other Workers about Project U.Z.I. in fear of someone sabotaging it for whatever reason, the entire bunker was left confused when the doors would randomly lock or open and the lights would flicker with no rhyme or reason.
The couple would go around bragging about their new daughter to everyone, but when asked to see her they would bring up a (horrible) excuse as to why no one should see her. For years everyone thought they were just making her up.
Uzi loved to play with her parents by closing the doors on them as they're about to walk through, this of course led to Khan constantly baby talking doors at random, which then led to the nickname "Doorman" given to him by other Drones.
Khan took this as a new badge to wear and thus the Doorman family was created.
When Uzi got older, she was given more access to the bunker. Come time when most young Drones in her generation are given their Adult Models, Uzi was finally given a body of her own and complete control over the entire bunker. This is also when people realize Uzi wasn't just a delusion made up by her parents.
Khan doesn't stop talking to his daughter through doors even after she was given a physical body, which led to a lot of embarrassment for Uzi when he wouldn't stop the "doors are my real daughter" jokes.
Because she was given a body way later than her peers, she often struggled with walking and talking which caused a lot of bullying from her peers.
After mastering basic motor skills, Uzi went on to start building herself other bodies using spare parts she scavenged from outside. These can range from spare bodies in case something happens to her current one to Dissembly Drone-esque models crafted for the purpose of defense should an actual one get in.
Up to the current canon timeline, no one still knows that Uzi has complete control over the entire bunker.
She meets N when scavenging parts for an upgrade she's been working on that requires a lot of Worker Drone cores, an upgrade that consists of allowing the entire bunker to be mobile and move.
Everything basically plays out the same except Uzi has a bit more of an advantage against the Murder Drones mayhaps 👀

A bunch of Murder Drones suit mods I found for Lethal Company
Just gonna link these here for anyone that wants them since for some reason these are really hard to find by searching. So if you want to have you and your gang running around as Murder Drones characters in Lethal Company, here you go.
================================================
Uzi:
N:
V:
Tessa?:
Cyn:
sCynwalker:
Khan: (NOTE: Doesn't seem to work might be some error on the mod maker's part but I'll leave it in incase they fix it with an update.)
Thad: (NOTE: Doesn't seem to work might be some error on the mod maker's part but I'll leave it in incase they fix it with an update.)
Doll:
EDIT: Apparently she also comes with V, J and N suits so in case you don't like redundancy bear that in mind or if you just don't want multiple suits of the same character clogging up your suit rack.
================================================
And that's all I could find so far, if anyone finds more feel free to share. Sadly I couldn't find a J suit for instance. So if you wanted to have the entire DD trio that sadly isn't possible yet it seems.
EDIT: Seems I was incorrect as Doll comes with a J suit.

Woah Artemis wrote about something that isnt Doll/Lizzy or Tessa/Zara!
A Khan drabble. :]
Contrary to what most would think, the JcJensen drones feel.
They have thoughts. They have questions. But they don't dare to speak up for fear of the harsh corrections for stepping out of line, so they move on silently, but thoughtfully.
The ground is uneven underneath him. His processors tell him that the sunlight is warm and welcoming, but the snow around his boots and the cold air whipping against his face distracts him from the warmth and reminds him of where he is.
The humans left the gate open again. Was it really their fault for being curious? Crawling their way out of the dark earth that they were constantly kept under, just to be able to catch a glimpse of the sunrise.
Khan hears the cautious footsteps of his group behind him. They are shielding their visors and letting their sensors adjust to the light and they are looking around in awe and wonder at the vast planet around them.
He closes his eyes and releases a synthetic breath that he didn't realize he was holding.
They are not left alone for long. The taste of freedom is still fresh on their tongues as voices rise behind them, and suddenly there are two tall and intimidating drones that are nothing like the smaller workers they were built to herd, growling and snapping their teeth at the stragglers.
Khan does not hesitate to retreat. Lest he end up like a fellow squad leader a few weeks back, who had tried to run past the perimeter fence and was reduced to strands of scrap on the yard by one of the herding drones.
~•~•
He takes the harness for the hundredth time this month, not because he wants to.
He stays perfectly still as the humans tie the straps around his shoulders and chest, and his body is pulled back as the chain links his back to the metal cart.
He'd tried to protest before. The humans decided he was the best candidate to haul around the spoils that the drones unearthed for their greedy parent company.
In his own opinion- not that a drone knew anything, because he was a machine- he was better at crawling through the tunnels to reach the nodes of precious ores that no human could maneuver their way through, or sorting out the shiny gemstones from the muddy rocks.
He pushes forward silently, deep in thought again.
He is careful where he steps, making sure that the cart stays aligned on the tracks, but taking extra care to ensure that his footing is not lost.
The first time Khan had been assigned the harness had been a complete disaster.
An entire day's worth of work, lost to one of the underground lakes, because he had taken a step wrong, lost his balance, and tumbled to the ground.
This would not have been a problem, if the chain hadn't pulled the cart down onto its side with him, losing all but one of the precious stones.
Their supervisor was furious, and it took the technicians almost a half a week to fix the damage done by the controlled shocks to Khan's system. His entire visor had to be replaced.
He does not complain.
This is simply the way things are. The way they always have been, and the way they always will be.
…or at least, that's what they thought.

Obscure Murderdrones Fact #8

Did you know that Khan’s award for creating the best door was awarded to him at Outpost 9? Six entire outposts away from his Outpost of residence—
Tumblr media
Source: Murderdrones Episode 1
Timestamp: 5:08
—which is shown to be Outpost 3.
What is also notable is that the award was signed by the WDF of Outpost 9, which implies that every outpost either has or could have its own Defense Force which is a separate entity from Defense Forces of neighboring outposts, or at least individual sects of the same entity.
This is really interesting when speculating how civilization functions. Khan very well may be the most powerful Drone in society, and it is due to his specialization in the one thing that keeps everybody alive.
Which again casts an interesting light on last week’s discovery: Khan’s potential plan to monetize door protection for neighboring outposts…
