These are a lot of examples of something that "never happens".

A female inmate at the Women’s Correctional Center in Washington has come forward to reveal that she was sexually assaulted by a violent transgender sex offender who was transferred into the women’s prison in 2021.
For the purposes of this article, the female inmate will be referred to as “Mary” in order to protect her privacy and prevent her from experiencing institutional repercussions.
Reduxx was provided Mary’s testimony through letters she passed on to an internal source, who then relayed the information out of the institution on her behalf.
Mary explains that the incident occurred in April of 2022 after a transgender inmate named Christopher Williams asked to be moved into her cell. Williams had previously been serving his sentence at a male facility, and has a criminal history including sex offenses and violent assault.
“Christopher asked if he could move into my room because he said his current roommate was bullying him … I had no issues with him being a transgender. But then he would make weird comments like ‘it hurts when it fills up with blood,’ like he wanted me to know when he was having an erection.”
Mary says that she became increasingly uncomfortable with Williams’ behavior towards her, which had a near-constant sexual undertone. At one point, Williams appeared to become frustrated with Mary’s lack of interest in him, and started issuing disturbing threats of sexual violence.
“He said to me, ‘I don’t know why you don’t want [my dick]. Everyone else does.’ Then he started to follow me into the bathroom. And one time he told me, ‘Just so you know, I can get you wherever I want.'”
Mary says she was voicing her concerns to staff, but was “pretty much being ignored.”

A trans-identified male who sexually assaulted three female employees at a disability support organization, of which he was a representative, has been sentenced to six years in prison for his crimes. Kazumi Watanabe, 57, who claims to “have a woman’s heart,” was sentenced March 27 at the Osaka District Court’s Sakai branch.
Watanabe was first arrested on February 7, 2023, after he was accused of sexual assault by multiple female staff members. At the time of his arrest, Watanabe was the owner and head of Aoi Sodanshitsu, a public company that provided services for disabled or otherwise disadvantaged individuals and their families. The company had an agreement with the municipal government of Takaishi, Osaka Prefecture, which referred people with vulnerabilities to Aoi Sodanshitsu for assistance when needed. Watanabe and his staff would then provide supportive consultations and referrals to relevant welfare services.
According to the indictment, Watanabe sexually assaulted multiple female employees and patrons of the business in 2021, luring them into a vulnerable position under the guise of giving them a “massage.” In order to make his victims comfortable enough to trust him, he’d claim he was not sexually attracted to women and had the “heart of a woman.” After they allowed him to touch their bodies, he would sexually assault them. In at least one of the cases, Watanabe raped a victim by forcible penetration.
One woman, in her forties, was a client of the disabilities counseling project. As Watanabe began to massage her, groping her breasts and genitals, he made comments about touching her “pubic bone,” and suggested he could make her breasts bigger, and made her walk around in her underwear.
In its decision, the District Court stated: “The method of committing the crime under the pretense of a offering a massage by lying about his gender identity was cunning, and the fact that he repeated it clearly showed that he had sexual distortions. He also took advantage of his position. This is a strong condemnation.”

A trans activist drag queen is standing trial for 2019 charges related to the sexual abuse of a teen boy he met through gay hookup app Grindr. Dwight Evan Chisholm, also known as “Sno Wight,” was already a lifetime entrant of the sex offender registry when he began grooming the boy.
As previously reported by Reduxx, Chisolm was initially convicted in 2011 on charges of sexually assaulting a child and sentenced to three years in prison in Brown County.
Upon his release in 2015, Chisolm was listed in official records as homeless and was therefore ordered to report his whereabouts to authorities on a weekly basis. But two years later, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections lost contact with Chisolm, who had stopped making the mandatory weekly declarations of his location. For the following year and a half, authorities were unable to locate him.
In December of 2018, the state’s District Attorney’s office charged Chisolm with failure to provide information as a sex offender and a judge signed a warrant for his arrest.
That's a lot of sexual violence from mem who claim to be women

This is going to be a bit of an essay so I will just say before I go into anything,
SUPPORT. ALL. SHELTERS.
To start, I have been working in animal welfare, specifically sheltering, for some time. I currently manage the dog department and its staff at a small "no-kill" humane society. We rely solely on donations and grants to keep us running.
When working with other shelters/rescues and especially when in the hiring process, I see a multitude of attitudes regarding euthanasia. Of course most people in animal welfare are down for medical euthanasia, suffering is clear to see and vet money is not so easily gained. But specifically behavioral euthanasia is such a dividing line in the community. People I interview gush about our no-kill shelter and are so eager to work somewhere animals aren't being senselessly "killed." (Despite the fact we do have to euthanize sometimes. "No-kill" is not "never kill".)
Do you wanna know what "no-kill" means? No-kill is a label - not doled out by anything official at all, mind you - that recognizes when an organization achieves a 90% or higher live outcome rate yearly. A live outcome rate can literally mean anything other than death. Adopted, fostered, rescued, transferred, etc. If the animal somehow left the shelter system and it wasn't in a body bag, they count as a live outcome.
MANY MANY MANY grants, some of them giving oodles of money in support of animal rescue, will NOT give to "kill" shelters. This includes rescues for neo-natal/bottle fed kittens, which of course need round-the-clock care and still manage to die. This includes rescues for senior or medical case dogs where the owner could not afford to pay vet bills. This includes any place that rescues hoarding or breeding situations and take in many sick or malnourished puppies. Those organizations are, of course, NEVER going to achieve a 90% or higher live outcome rate. That is impossible. And yet, because they don't have that label, they miss out on a lot of money to actually help them. Instead, they have to turn to begging people for donations and asking organizations like mine to take their highly adoptable animals, since people do support "no-kill" establishments.
Y'all, I promise you, no animal is "senselessly" killed in animal welfare. For the most part, people in shelters work so hard to take care of animals, and I promise that every euthanasia is painful for the staff. They don't want to have to make decisions based on how long an animal has been there. They don't want to kill anything. But at the end of the day sometimes the best we can give them is our love and a peaceful goodbye.
If you don't want dogs or cats to die at the hands of an untimely demise, ADOPT FROM YOUR LOCAL SHELTER. Do not even look up what their kill status is. That is not relevant to anything at all except how many animals they can't save. And guess what? You adopting one of their animals will be such a weight off their shoulders and contribute to them having better numbers! And wow, kennel space for another animal in need that did not have to result in a difficult decision for staff.
I have a pretty comfy job for the industry, y'all. I only take in what my local demographic is likely to adopt, as I'm at the behest of a director and a board trying to keep our head afloat, and the only reason I'm harassed at all is because the local municipal shelter does not take in animals, (but that's way too much to get into and also not relevant to shelters as a whole across the country,) I absolutely admire the municipal shelters that try very hard to get good pets adopted and never get thanked for it.
I'm at the whim of donors and a board of people who care a lot about a status that essentially means I have to turn away a lot of people who need help rehoming their animals. Your local municipal shelter is working with your tax dollars, and therefore are only beholden to YOU as part of its community.
TL;DR: "no-kill" means nothing, and doesn't help a broad scope of animals or the compassionate people attempting to save them.
Also, we are not lying when we say dog and cat overpopulation is a huge problem. Spay or neuter your goddamn pets and do not buy from non-established breeders.
[I could have several other posts about behavioral euthanasia because that's a whole beast itself.]
I think this is super important to remember.

Public social and healthcare services in Finland are seeking to reduce costs by cutting more than 2,800 jobs in the sector, according to a report by Helsingin Sanomat.
The social and healthcare sector, which employs over 350,000 people, has seen over 130,000 professionals involved in negotiations this year.
Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) recently said it is planning up to 990 job cuts. Major staff reductions are also planned in regions like Central Finland, Southwest Finland, Pirkanmaa, and South Savo.
Some of these reductions mean direct redundancies, while others involve retirement arrangements or converting full-time contracts to part-time. Vacant positions may be left unfilled, and temporary contracts may not be renewed, according to the paper.
Following negotiations between employers and worker unions, affected workers' job roles or worksites may change. Workers might be offered positions or new roles in different parts of their welfare counties, and refusing to cooperate could result in getting sacked.
Some welfare areas have already undergone multiple rounds of cooperation negotiations this year, which is troubling, according to Research Professor Timo Sinervo from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), who has studied social and healthcare organisations.
"Change negotiations halt all development for a long time. They can poison the atmosphere for months ahead," he said.
Sinervo notes that cuts might affect areas where they are least sensible, such as basic services, which in his opinion should be strengthened instead. For example, closing a local health clinic could prompt an increase in costly specialised emergency care.
The shift of social and healthcare services from hundreds of municipalities to 21 wellbeing services counties also offered the possibility of consolidating managerial and leadership roles.
"I would assume that efforts are being made to trim down management, administration, and support services," Sinervo said.
Tunnel to Sweden?
Members of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency have visited Sweden to explore the possibility of building a "fixed connection" between Vaasa in Finland and Umeå in Sweden, including the option of a tunnel, according to a report by the Swedish language daily Hufvudstadsbladet.
The government has commissioned a study on a "fixed connection" over the Kvarken Strait (also known as the Quark). While the specific details of the study are not yet clear, the Finnish agency began a preliminary investigation into the matter earlier this year. The probe aims to gather extensive information on the need for such a connection and its potential impact beyond Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
The significant challenges of building a bridge include environmental risks, ice conditions, and potential obstruction to shipping. As a result, the agency is now seriously considering a tunnel, which could avoid many of these issues and not be affected by ice or be vulnerable as a military target.
However, the Swedish government and military interest in the project has been tepid, and no high-level officials were present during the investigators' visit.
The project is still in its early stages, with further discussions planned with politicians in Stockholm. The Transport Infrastructure Agency is expected to report its findings to the government in spring 2025.
TikTok user gets 3-month pool ban
A 40-year-old man who shares his public confrontations and altercations on the social media video platform TikTok has been banned from all swimming pools in Espoo for three months.
According to a report by tabloid Ilta-Sanomat, the man has had disputes at several sports facilities and gyms in the city and has been labelled a "serial troublemaker". He claims to have visited Espoo's swimming halls 300 times a year.
Helsingin Sanomat first reported on this story.
The man, who has a few thousand TikTok followers, and whose videos have been shared on various forums, frequently challenges others to "street fights" and appears to have a background in bodybuilding.
His modus operandi involves filming public disputes with his smartphone and posting the videos online. He has also recorded and shared phone conversations and other public confrontations.
In his videos, he described an incident at a swimming hall where he was removed by police after confronting a boy with a foreign background about wearing swim trunks in the sauna. Dissatisfied with the lifeguard's response, he eventually provoked staff to call emergency services and reportedly flexed his muscles to police officers in the locker room.
Espoo's Manager of Sports Services, Jarmo Ikävalko, told HS that the man's disruptive behaviour has been long-standing, aggressive, repetitive and racist. In the most severe cases, he has singled out and harassed children of foreign background. Ikävalko has not commented on the man's identity.

Delhi's Hardayal Library Staff Receive Pending Salaries from 2021; Kejriwal Highlights AAP's Commitment to Public Welfare
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has taken a significant step towards resolving the long-standing salary dispute of 96 employees at the Hardayal Municipal Public Library. After enduring a wait of five months without pay since 2021, the employees finally received their overdue salaries following directives from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The library staff had been staging a dharna for the past 35 months, grappling with financial instability exacerbated by the lack of salary payments. The situation had reached a critical point, with the library facing a severe shortage of funds resulting in a four-month-long period without electricity, adversely affecting students’ ability to study.
In a statement to the press, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) acknowledged the release of salaries for the five-month period in 2021 as a significant development in addressing the employees’ grievances.
The root cause of the issue stemmed from a longstanding dispute between the AAP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concerning the elections to the library’s managing body. Despite commitments made by MCD Mayor Shelly Oberoi in April, progress in resolving the salary crisis had been slow. However, recent developments, including the formation of a verification committee for salary distribution, signaled a positive shift towards resolution.
During his interaction with the Hardayal Library staff, Kejriwal expressed satisfaction at the salary disbursement while reaffirming the AAP’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the common people. He emphasized the government’s responsibility to cater to the basic needs of citizens, including access to electricity, water, education, and healthcare.
Kejriwal also criticized the BJP’s governance, alleging corruption and mismanagement during their 15-year tenure at the MCD. Despite facing obstacles imposed by the opposition, he highlighted the AAP’s efforts in improving civic services and ensuring transparency in governance.
Responding to the developments, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor emphasized the need for government-level intervention to alleviate the financial crisis facing the Hardayal Library. Kapoor called for comprehensive support from the Delhi Government to address the library’s debts and facilitate its maintenance and expansion.
As the situation unfolds, the release of pending salaries marks a significant milestone in addressing the plight of Hardayal Library staff. However, sustained efforts and collaborative initiatives will be essential to ensure the long-term stability and prosperity of this iconic institution.

West Bengal Government Tenders: Latest Opportunities and Projects
Introduction: Positioned between the towering Himalayas to the north and the expansive Bay of Bengal to the south, West Bengal, an Indian state, is a captivating region where history and tradition seamlessly blend with modern advancements and innovation. The state’s capital, Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta), stands as a living testament to its rich heritage, preserving cultural remnants from its past as an East India Company trading post and the capital of the British Raj. Nevertheless, in the current era, West Bengal is wholeheartedly embracing progress and development through exciting initiatives and projects that hold immense promise for a brighter future for its residents.
Unleashing the Potential of Tenders: Fostering Advancement and Progress
In the realm of development and governance, tenders play a pivotal role as they serve as the conduits through which governments and private organizations seek competitive bids for a diverse array of projects and services. The process of conducting tenders typically involves four key stages: prequalification, the issuance of tender documents, the receipt, and meticulous review of tenders, culminating in the awarding of contracts. These WB tenders reflect the state’s commitment to addressing various aspects of development and public welfare.
Here are some noteworthy tenders from West Bengal that shed light on the state’s diverse and dynamic development activities:
PHE, West Bengal: The Public Health Engineering (PHE) department in West Bengal has taken a significant step towards ensuring the day-to-day operation and guarding of pumping machinery through a manual motor starter panel at Tube Well No.- II, Zone-II of the Natshallakhya Water Supply Scheme. This initiative is instrumental in providing a consistent supply of clean water to the citizens, a fundamental necessity for public health and well-being.
JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY: Education is the cornerstone of development, and Jadavpur University recognizes this. The university has issued a tender for the construction of a pandal and the hiring of other items for the Jadavpur University Convocation. Educational institutions are not just centers of learning but also catalysts for research and innovation, driving the progress of a state.
Zilla Parishad: Urban development and infrastructure enhancements are vital to a state’s progress. The Zilla Parishad of West Bengal is looking to enhance urban development by inviting tenders for the installation of high mast lights. Improved infrastructure and lighting contribute to public safety and the overall quality of life for residents.
WEST BENGAL STATE WAREHOUSING CORPORATION: This state-owned corporation is undertaking the construction of a new godown with a multi-storied building, featuring a floor area of 3500 square feet at each floor. Such facilities are crucial for enhancing storage capacity and logistics, thereby supporting agriculture and commerce.
DIRECTORATE OF FORESTS: The state’s natural beauty and wildlife are valuable assets. Initiatives like the maintenance and repair of staff barracks at Bir Para Park play a crucial role in preserving these natural treasures and promoting eco-tourism.
SOUTH EASTERN RLY: Railways are the lifelines of transportation, and safety is paramount. The South Eastern Railway is calling for the acquisition of a breather assembly with wire mesh. Such equipment enhances railway safety, ensuring the well-being of passengers and cargo.
KOLKATA MUNICIPAL CORPORATION: Urban development and sustainability are top priorities. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is working on improving street lighting with LED fittings and replacing CFL fittings with LED lights. This not only enhances the aesthetics of the city but also contributes to energy efficiency and a greener future.
Key Development Highlights in West Bengal
Beyond these individual WB tender, West Bengal has witnessed several notable development highlights in recent times, illustrating the state’s commitment to progress and innovation:
Industrial Township in West Bengal: The government of West Bengal has proposed a prototype for an industrial township in the New Town-Rajarhat region’s Sector VI. This initiative is in line with the state’s commitment to sustainability and responsible water resource utilization. The proposed project, estimated at INR 7,172 crores, aims to minimize underground water consumption by utilizing pre-existing natural water bodies in Basirhat, an innovative approach that addresses environmental concerns.
Under River Road Tunnel Project: The Kolkata Port Trust, recently renamed Shyamal Prasad Mukherjee Port (SMP), is set to execute an under-river road tunnel project to improve cargo movement between the city-dock at Kolkata Port and the national highway, crossing the Hooghly River. This crucial infrastructure project is in alignment with the national plan for transportation infrastructure, known as the PM’s Gait Shakti initiative. The estimated budget for this under-river road tunnel is INR 1,700 crore, reflecting a significant investment in modernizing transportation and logistics.
West Bengal Tenders: A Diverse Landscape of Development
West Bengals dedication, to improving infrastructure and public services is evident in the abundance of tenders available. As of November 7 2023 some major areas of expenditure in West Bengal include tenders related to CC road construction, drainage systems, pump operators, submersible pumps and tube wells. These categories reflect the states emphasis, on developing infrastructure ensuring water supply and enhancing utilities.

Reality of Digital Threats
A significant event unfolded earlier this year, pointing out the ever-present dangers lurking in the cybersphere. A technological provider found itself at the mercy of a cyber onslaught that led to the unauthorized access and theft of a staggering 500,000 personal health records. This occurrence has highlighted the ever-pressing concerns about data security and the repercussions it holds for those caught in its crosshairs.
Unraveling the Extent of the Breach
A disclosure filed with the attorney general’s office of Maine indicated that 489,830 individuals had their personal information compromised due to the targeted cyber strike on Fortra, an entity associated with Intellihartx.
The disclosure unveiled the diverse array of sensitive data that was captured by the cyber adversaries. This included patient identities, residential details, dates of birth, and even Social Security numbers, posing considerable risk to the individuals affected. In addition, the breach also affected medical billing details, insurance information, and confidential health-related data such as diagnoses and medication records.
The severity of the situation is underscored by the fact that Intellihartx wasn’t the sole entity affected by these high-profile attacks. Fortra’s GoAnywhere software, which is widely utilized for sharing large data sets across the internet, has been identified as a main target for cyber offenders.
Behind the Scenes of the Attack
The cybercriminal collective, known as Clop, has taken responsibility for exploiting a previously unrevealed vulnerability in Fortra’s software. This loophole allowed them to infiltrate the networks of numerous organizations and companies, amplifying the impact of the attack.
The Ripple Effect
The repercussions of this breach are felt far and wide in the healthcare sector, where the protection and confidentiality of patient information are of utmost importance. This incident has raised serious concerns, as it has led to the compromise of half a million personal health records. The pilfered data could potentially be used for various harmful intents, posing a significant threat to the privacy and welfare of the affected individuals.
In response to this incident, Steps were taken to address the breach, which includes filing the necessary data breach notifications and initiating a process to notify affected individuals. A notice released on June 8, 2023, aims to keep those impacted by the incident informed, offering crucial details and guidance on measures to mitigate potential damage.
The Aftermath
Among the noteworthy victims of this aggressive digital campaign are entities like Hatch Bank, a digital financial institution, Rubrik, a respected security firm, and even municipal entities like the City of Toronto.
Looking Forward: Protecting Your Organization
As the digital realm continues to evolve, so do the threats within it. Yet, hope is far from lost. For organizations looking to safeguard their valuable assets in this digital age, a comprehensive Managed Services Provider (MSP) can make all the difference.
