Minor updates! Mostly on me haha

I’m ok! I had a hell of a month quite literally.

Our family had to say goodbye to my grandfather after his battle with pneumonia. Making the holiday quite hard on all of us. Shortly after, my father was scheduled for some repair surgery on his spine.

He did great! Sore but recovering.

I’ve also been battling my own medical mystery and had a procedure attempted to try and fix it but it didn’t go that great. Nothing hurt, just nothing fixed.

Then our housing’s plumbing drainage to the city sewer broke for a week.

Then I ended up in the ER after blacking out after a ridiculous amount of blood work related to above problem I’ve been dealing with.

Blessedly: the bones I broke don’t hurt and the IV pokes they put in my hand feel better. My neck is a little messed up in two spots but otherwise I’m ok.

So, I appreciate everyone still shooting messages and drawings while I’ve been in expensive care. I’ll be a little slow to start this year because of everything so I appreciate everyone’s patience during my forced hiatus after a losing battle with the chaos of the universe.

Let’s talk about how Donnie has the biggest brass balls out of all of his brothers. Not only did he take down the Krang (it was his final blow that took krang down) but this dude just hops out of an airplane. AN AIRPLANE. They didn’t train for that. Homie just stepped out into the damn air like it was nothing. And then, THEN straight up tested the ooze on himself not knowing what it would even do to him. That. Takes. Balls. Even more so than Leonardo. I said what I said.

You said you like misunderstandings but not miscommunication. That's the same thing

I mean, you're not wrong. Both words do mean that a message was incorrectly understood.

The only real difference between them is that misunderstandings are when a message is not correctly received while miscommunication is when a message is not correctly given.

I, however, see them differently when talking about fics.

What I meant in my writing/reading content is that misunderstandings are more about a situation that leads to hilarious hijinks rather than two characters not talking about something, which I consider miscommunication. I find it boring when they just refuse to talk things over because of a person issue like insecurity or rumors spread by other characters.

That's mostly because it causes unnecessary drama that I usually don't go for unless I'm aiming for angst like Adoptive Son.

A misunderstanding that I often use is when charaters do talk about something - they just aren't aware they're not talking about the same thing.

Like in Alley Boyfriends Tim sat Danny down to talk about thier cover, is very open about his money and time hours but he isn't aware Danny doesn't know who he is and the misunderstanding that Danny has is that Tim is involved with something illegal to explain said money and time. Meanwhile, the bats have miscommunication that Tim purposely built to hide his coffee intake.

It might not make sense, but that's just how my brain understands the tropes. Should I be changing how I tag stuff? It might be off if my understanding isn't the general public.
