My BtVS sexuality headcanons, pt 2: The Fanged Four

Because I had to do Angel and Spike next or I'd have a riot on my hands. Just kidding. Mostly. Anyhow, I love the Fanged Four. A whole bunch. And here's what (in my opinion) their sexual orientations are. Again I apologize for my bad photoshopping skills.

Angel.

Angel is bi. He is bi. There is 0% doubt in my mind that this man is an absolute disaster bisexual. I should have used the disaster bi flag as the background, really. I say he's bi because I do think he has gender preferences and might not be attracted to all genders.

Darla.

I think that Darla is omnisexual. She's attracted to all genders, but isn't necessarily gender-blind. Gender is going to be a factor in her attraction. Do I have any deviance for this? Well, I've got evidence that she likes more than one gender. As for not being gender blind, I have no evidence, it's just the feeling I get.

Spike.

Another disaster bi. He gives off so much bi energy even without all the bi subtext in canon. I really wanted to use the disaster bi flag for him. And the picture of him doing the bisexual double thumbs up. Or not sitting correctly.

Drusilla.

Last but certainly never least, Oh look another bisexual, what a surprise. I think Dru might have a preference for men, but I think she is still solidly bisexual!

Guillermo: He's a gay man. I've had the headcannon before it was even confirmed. I specifically think he's transgender,has had top surgery while he was Nandor's familiar and a phalloplasty that was funded by money he stole while working at Nadja's club lol. Good for him. I think he's stealth for the most part. I also think he's involved in the gay bear and kink community. He's a trans bear who's hoping to grow a nice beard someday. He's very jealous of Laszlo and Nandor.

Nandor: I think he's multisexual in general and would identify with bi, pan, poly or omni. I think Nandor is a cis man but I don't think he aligns his gender with the western ideas of gender but more with the genders within the Iranian culture he grew up in. He would definitely say that he's genderblind when it comes to attraction

Laszlo Cravensworth: I think he's a gender non-conforming cis man who identified as bisexual for years but also would identify as pansexual too later on. He's also canonly objectum. He might be in love with his piano and gets deeply aroused by it at times. Gender is a performance and he's going to have fun with it damn it

Nadja: I think shes a queer cis women. She's gone through countless identities for her sexuality and identifies with each and every one simultaneously. She's sapphic, lesbian, queer, bisexual and pansexual. She would describe her attraction to women as lesbian and I could see her rocking with the term bipan-lesbian. She's gay af

Colin Robinson: It is asexual and nonbinary if you want the short answer. The longer answer is that he's graysexual, demiromantic and panromantic. His gender is specifically that he's a demiboy/demimale who partially identifies with being male but also a gender that's nonhuman and alien. He doesn't identify as transgender sense it doesn't feel any specific gender dysphoria or bodily euphoria, it's just gender. It's got a hoard of xenogenders relating to him feeling digital, an eldrich horror or just a creature who's a thing that's digused as a normal human man. It also uses xenopronouns but that's mainly just an online thing. It/its and he/him are its favored pronouns. He's a kinky ace but he's gonna keep that to himself and Laszlo.

Sean: He's a cis guy who's questioning and bicurious but he'll call himself a gay ally who's 100% straight before admitting that. He's got "bi wife energy ✨️" He might also feel curious about the gay bear/otter community when it comes to queer masculinity. I feel it would help him accept his queerness more. He might feel like he's too masculine to be gay. He and Charmaine are very deep into the kink community.

Charmaine: She's queer and she's always known that. She idenfies with bisexual and sapphic but she likes the word sapphic more. She leans more towards men but there are some women that she feels attracted to. It's a very specific type *cough cough* ELVERA:MISTRESS OF THE DARK. She's not attracted to most women around her. Interesting how Nadja is the goth vampire gf of her dreams. That's so fascinating huh.

The Guide: She's a stealth trans woman who's pansexual please don't ask about her name she'll cry she doesn't know her name its been centuries she's still thinking about it just call her The Guide.

Marwa: She's pansexual and cis. She also feels intellectual attraction, aural attraction and attraction to one's voice/accent.

The Djinn: He's cis and pansexual. He's also a repressed virgin.

The Baron: He is intersex but idenfies as male. If you ask about his sex he'll assume you want to fuck him so be careful what personal things you ask 😁 if you don't want to fuck him mind your business. He doesn't identify with any sexuality. He just fucks as he pleases.

The Sire: The Sire is agender and his sex is a mystery don't try to find out you can't don't even entertain the idea. The Sire doesn't fuck with sexuality labels either. He's just chillin.

Evie Russell: She's a cis woman who's asexual and aromantic. She's also cupioromantic because she likes the act of dating and traditional romantic gestures but doesn't feel attraction at all.

Simon The Devious: He's a cis guy who's bi and having a steamy secret affair with Laszlo.

Derek: He's cis and pansexual

Thoughts of Buffy

So, I just finished watching Buffy for the first time and I now have it's spin off Angel to watch. I plan to write more about both shows once I've finished Angel so you'll be seeing another thoughts of Buffy in the future. I just wanted to ramble somewhere about my initial feelings of how Buffy ended and just my thoughts on the show as whole. I loved the show. It was very entertaining to watch.

I loved the characters. There was always someone to relate to on screen. I think my favourite characters were Tara, Oz and Giles. Willow and Spike would have been on that list too as I loved them in earlier seasons but I hate what they became. I felt so seen when Willow had her love triangle with Oz and Tara. I loved both relationships. I love multisexual identities being seen on screen, I hate how they tried to erase that though. I like early seasons Spike too. I thought him and Buffy's dynamic was interesting. I liked how sarcastic he was. But season 6 ruined him by making him do things I just don't think is in line for Spike to do. He was an evil vampire sure, but he was gentlemanly about it.

I don't think the ending was fair either. Anya deserved a better death than to just die with people barely noticing. I have complicated feelings on Spike's death because I do believe that he would die for Buffy, I just don't think his last moments with Buffy was in character for him.

As much as I have my complaints about this show, I have praises for it to. The musical episode was so enjoyable and I loved hearing the cast sing too. On the opposite, I really enjoyed the silent episode too. I really like the chemistry between all of the characters. I loved the father-daughter bond between Buffy and Giles, I think it was beautifully executed. Willow, Xander and Buffy's friendship was very strong. Anya was so blunt and I loved that about her character, same with Cordelia. Xander has a type.

But anyway, I will write something more structured about this show in the future. It's a cult classic. It deserves more than one post. This was just a ramble while I'm still processing the ending.

SPOILERS AND SPECULATION

Paul Simms I think has spoken in very broad terms about how they feel. He even said something in the line of "as for the romantic aspect, people can see like that if they want to, and maybe there is..." Which to some might sound like it might happen eventually, but to me it feels like a confession of "we didn't write s3 and s4 thinking of nandermo seriously happening" which, at this point... y'all, all our evidence for nandermo as an intentional romantic thing comes from season 3 and they were most likely jokes or unrequited pining.

Let's be real, when a mlm ship is given the "there might be something there 👀 or not 😬" treatment... it's a polite way to say no, sorry, not happening. Cause people get mad when you just say that and the studio obviously doesn't want you to reveal anything.

And I know someone will be all "but wwdits is my best friend and there's no other show like it and she would never-" and... Listen, WWDITS is a bad bitch. Nobody is doing it like her in many ways. It's unfair to compare it to SPN and Sherlock and Teen Wolf or whatever. But it's not OFMD. It doesn't have to be, it doesn't claim to be, they're just not the same. Will OFMD set a precedent? I hope so. But shadows has been cooking for years and the tone is absolutely different. I don't expect it to change.

The will-they-won't-they is Guillermo turning. There's a double meaning to his jealousy, always related to becoming a vampire. That's the joke, same way Manhattan Night Club had them acting like a fighting couple when another person flirted with one of them, except it was a vampire who wanted to eat him. And nandermo wasn't a thing back then, if it is now. "They act like a married couple, but it's all about vampirism" jokes with a side of "aw, look, they actually care about each other, in some way".

Nandor, pansexual icon and designated serial monogamist, always seeks women in his romantic pursues. Not for plot reasons, but because multisexual characters are sometimes treated like that. Every opportunity to build a significant relationship with a man is rejected in favor of a woman (all of them amazing, btw). He had three malewives, yeah, but the one who's sticking around, the one that matters, is yet again a woman. The others are a "haha can you believe they had malewives in Al' Quolanudar" joke that won't alienate the homophobic audience, because we all know how horny the vampires are, they'll fuck anything! Sure, it's not malicious like that, but I see how unthreatening it is for the assholes at home and how convenient that could be for the network.

My point is, whatever they want to do storytelling wise, will they risk that portion of the casual audience (99%, we're nothing, we're just loud) by pairing up two of the most beloved characters in the show, one of which they won't even let have a boyfriend? Even if it's the story they want to tell, would it be allowed or encouraged? I don't know.

Everyone thinks I'm a nandermo defeatist because of my good time girl Marwa. Guys, I know Marwa is not here forever. I know she means nothing but character development for Nandor. If that wasn't the case... well, way to throw his evolution out the window. My fear of nandermo not happening is rooted in too many other factors to explain. Marwa is not one of them. Neither is Freddie.

At the end, nandermo will remain subtext. They might end up with different people or single, but Nandor will never seriously date a man. I'm betting and I hope I lose.

Nandermo Merry Go Round

Everything below this is mostly the wild rantings of a woman waiting for a tv show. There might be a leaked spoiler or two but mostly refers to stuff Harvey and Kayvan have said/speculation.

I think I'm going to have to write a case for and against the likelihood of Nandermo now. I'm like....did going straight from ofmd to wwdits give me unrealistic shipspectations? Did my brain go of course the people who clearly love each other but won't admit it are romantically in love. Today alone I've seen a video of Kayvan doing Nandor on cameo being like 'I love Guillermo but not in that way' in a non-joking way and Harvey posting on Twitter that 'save your tears' and 'both sides now' are theme songs for Guillermo in s4. Now there's a lot of interpretations of those songs but for me, they hit a super 'we are no longer together' 'sliding doors' vibe :/ Which I'm like well. Maybe this is actually a one-sided romantic pining situation.

Yes, way back in the past Kayvan said Guillermo is the best thing that's happened to Nandor, Guillermo has everything he's looking for in his romantic partners but can't find and Nandor does risk his life for Guillermo (a ridiculous unheard of act for a vampire to do for their familiar) but the cameo video was posted only a year ago whereas those other statements were from a few years ago. I know that a lot of these are from Kayvan and Harvey and not like the writers/creators but they wouldn't be allowed to post certain stuff without the go-ahead. They could both be just fucking about too Harvey does seem to very much lean on both sides in interviews of maybe Guillermo loves him but mayyyybe he doesn't maaaybe their relationship isn't like that whoooo knows. And I'm like. Harvey. I beg.

Kayvan's just like let me tell you every way you could see Nandor through every prism, every possibility laid out before you BUT Kayvan has also said stuff about Nandor in the past that's been shown to not line up with Nandor in the show. Though seemingly not cause he was trying to mislead just because that's not how the writers wrote it.
