The first question that many women and families ask after losing a baby in pregnancy is, “Why?”. ▫️ In this episode, Amanda talks about the self-blame she felt after her first miscarriage. She felt that it was her fault - that it must have been something she did or didn’t do. ▫️ The truth is, most early miscarriages are caused by many things that are beyond a woman’s control. In fact, the single most common reason for miscarriage is a genetic abnormality. ▫️ It’s normal, expected and appropriate to process the many feelings that can come with losing a baby in pregnancy, but guilt does not have to be one of them. ▫️ Take good self care: have a bath, go for a walk, run, get a massage, write, draw, create, meditate, work, Netflix and chill, cry, talk, yell, cook, eat chocolate, drink a glass of wine, cup of tea, be alone or with loved ones. ▫️ Be kind to yourself and gracious to your body.

Mama Bird Here...
I said I would talk about my infertility so here goes...
Part 1
Whoopsadaisy Baby...
My Husband, we can just call him”Papa Bird” (boyfriend at the time) and I moved out of our parents house and into a rental home. About a year later, right around Christmas, he proposed. It was long over due as we had already been together for 5 year. We met when we were 15. I had no intention of getting pregnant. I Knew I wanted to have kids one day but I wanted to do it right I didn't want a broken home so I wanted to wait until we were officially married.
The biggest lesson I have learned as a mother of both dead and living children is that you have to let go. I needed to let go of the fact that I so desperately needed to be in control of my life ALL THE TIME. Nothing I planned to do ever turned out as planned. However because of this need to control everything ,I am very in tune with my body, so when I found out I was pregnant I already knew something was up. Right after work I took a test and BAM! everything changed. I was upset at first because this wasn't how I wanted it to happen. After a while though, I started to get comfortable and even love the idea. We scheduled our first doctors appointment.
They wouldn't see me until 9 weeks so we went for the long anticipated “heart beat appointment!” We left feeling invincible. Completely unaware of the roller coaster ride, that would be our next 3 years together. We went and ate Chik-fil-a right afterwards. Sonogram in hand! While scarfing down food like your typical pregnant lady I felt some twinges of pain. Nothing serious. My Husband is an optimist, so he told me “Just lay down when you get home and it will probably  get better” . I laid down and what was twinges turned into the worst period cramps I had ever felt. I was completely oblivious to what was happening. I told PB (Papa Bird) that I needed to go to the hospital NOW! On the way I was in so much pain and stress I could hardly sit down. I was jumping out of the passenger seat in pain that came in waves now. We waited in the crowded Emergency room for 2 hours. Meanwhile I was vomiting and crying. PB cursed at the nurses to let me through to triage but by the time I was allowed back it was too late. My sister in law went to the bathroom with me and I remember just crying telling her “Its over. There is so much blood.” We got discharged from the hospital and I threw my sonogram that I had gotten just hours before, in the floor of my car. I was so angry and confused.
I saw my OB the next day and she had confirmed what I knew was already true. The baby was gone. It happened so fast. Shame, disappointment and anger is what I felt.  I was scheduled for my first D and C that following week because I had passed the baby but I still had larger clots that needed to be removed. I was absolutely terrified as I had never been put under. That’s when I discovered that i have a huge fear of being put under. I have a panic attack every time they put the mask on my face. UGH it gives me the creeps just thinking about it. I left the gateway surgery center with a huge bill, a numb heart and an empty womb.
My womb was once a home for a beautiful accident and now it was completely vacant...

Moving Forward
My husband and I talked about what all we would do when we found out what was “wrong” with my body. Miscarrying twice is not normal.
If what the doctor found was wrong could be fixed with meds or shots would we do it? Yes. If it required IVF? No. If it required surgery? No.
Our beliefs and decisions have limited our options - though we don’t yet know what’s wrong and what treatment will be required, if any. But we do know our limits of what we’re willing to do.
My husband said to me after I confirmed that it was a miscarriage, “If we can’t have kids, we’ll move forward with adoption.”
My heart. Be still.
I think I fell in love with him all over again.
Adoption is something we have both had on our hearts since before we met. It was one of our earliest conversations in our relationship. But I do believe I have felt a more nagging calling than he has. We’ve had so many conversations about fostering/adopting, but we’ve never been able to agree on timing.
Until now.
Though my soul longs to have a successful pregnancy and experience birth and breast feeding and having a baby who is half my husband, my soul also longs to love the motherless - the orphans. There are so many children who have no parents, who have no home, who have no stability, who don’t know love. And it completely wrecks my heart.
The thought of being able to give just one of those children a loving home nearly brings me to tears!
And finally being on the same page with my husband has me utterly giddy with excitement. My stomach is literally full of butterflies!
We are choosing to wait until our doctor appointment to move forward with adopting. We need time to focus on each other for a while. But we will likely begin the process in the coming months and we couldn’t be more excited.
God is taking us on a journey. He is closing doors that need to be closed, and opening ones that need to be opened. And we are choosing to be faithful rather than angry. We are choosing to obey God and follow his lead. We are choosing to be patient in this time of waiting and longing for children. We are choosing to let go of our own plans, and finding out that God has an even better plan for us.
I don’t know what tomorrow will look like, let alone a year from now. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get pregnant next month and have a healthy baby in a year, or if I’ll be a mom of a child who grew in my heart rather than my belly. I don’t know what life looks like.
And for the first time, I’m at peace with not knowing.
God has always been faithful and he will continue to be. We must only trust in Him and trust the journey. ❤️

multiple miscarriages nhs number 4 it's positive i'm jubilant
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Multiple miscarriages nhs helped me keep my pregnancy going. In the first place you never dream that you'll ever have a miscarriage let alone have 4. In the meantime I know some mums have gone on to have 6 7 or even more miscarriages . Just to get pregnant just that one time and to go full term.
treatment for multiple miscarriages nhs
In particular when you have multiple miscarriages that are caused by chromosome abnormalities. Some women have been prescribed extra folate instead of folic acid plus extra vitamin b12. Furthermore they have then gone on to have a healthy baby . In one case 2 miscarriages resulted in 1 child having trisomy 16 and another with triploidy. this lady was so glad to have her healthy son after. What joy to finally go past 16 weeks and keep the baby intact inside growing nicely. So after multiple miscarriages nhs can help some women go on to have a healthy baby . Here are some treatments that can help. Taking progesterone suppositories. plus it can also be taken orally. You need to be strong and pushy with the doctors. Oh and keep a stress free home as much as possible. After multiple miscarriages its hard not to be worried. In particular instead of seeing a specialist women have sought support and advice from other mums. They did find taking baby Aspirin and folic acid did help to keep their pregnancies too. Obviously it may not help every one reach a positive result. Why don't you ask your own doctor prior to getting pregnant, they may advise it in your particular circumstances. multiple miscarriages due to a uterine septum. As an example of recurring miscarriages your consultant my use and endoscope to see if the shape of the uterus has any malformations. This could be the cause of multiple miscarriages nhs help is in the form of surgery. woman can go on to have a normal pregnancy afterwards resulting in a delivery of a live and healthy baby . what else can you try to get pregnant ? Try using a Reproductive Immunologist to look at your notes and investigate your case further. multiple miscarriages nhs going for ivf treatment In particular intensive treatment is needed for IVF treatment . The Criteria is changing for getting it free on the NHS. but its worth a go if your consultant recommends it. for instance each clinic is different in how its treatment works. Generally ivf involves nasal spray of injections first. furthermore its to stop your menstrual cycle then tricks it with medication so every last detail can be monitored more closely. As a rule it then involves making your fallopian tubes to over stimulate and get as many eggs as possible at once. Quite an uncomfortable part removing them. Its quite an intensive regime. Next your eggs are looked at closely keeping the ones most mature. Mixed with your partners sperm to be fertilised. fertilised eggs are then grown on in the lab in an incubator. Those that develop strongly after 6 days are then transplanted into the womb. Also spares are frozen for a later date. your body is made ready via hormones. Given to thicken the lining of the womb prior to implantation. lastly pregnancy tests are done around 2 weeks after implantation. For instance this is the hardest part. the wait. Anxious worried in case it hasn't taken. Yet overjoyed if it has worked and this isn't another miscarriage. have as much support around you at this time. In short By having this type treatment you know for sure the actual date of fertilization, and due date when a pregnancy test is positive. Using a surrogate after multiple miscarriages beyond all the miscarriages what else can you do just to have a baby. Some women are opting to use a surrogate. This is an extreme position to be in lots of pros and cons. Expensive yet women are going to the Ukraine and Greece for a result. A family member that has had healthy pregnancies may be a better option. Read the full article

It's the end of #babylossawarenessweek and our youngest daughter's 11th birthday. We have 6 angel babies lost to miscarriage at various stages of pregnancy. We're very grateful for our three daughters and bonus boy, as well as our precious angels that we carry in our hearts and memory. Our thoughts, prayers, and much love to those who have also experienced the unbearable pain of baby loss. #waveoflight #babyloss #miscarriage #multiplemiscarriages #angelbabies
