Live Emotion Game Introduction 2 - Home
First Look at the home screen for Live Emotion!
As described on the official twitter account: This is the backstage area where you can access various functions of the app. You can interact with the idols, watch them relax, and have fun in a variety of ways. This way, you can spend time with your favourite idols.
Analysis/translation of the user interface below:
Tumblr media
Move between left and right sides of the backstage area/homescreen. Can change to a forwards/backwards arrow depending on where you are in the room (?).
Likely a fullscreen/view mode, that removes the UI temporarily.
Unsure. Something to do with altering the UI for the room like the other 3 buttons in this area. Possibly to do with moving the characters or yourself around the screen. Potentially some other kind of customisation, although that seems to be the function of #20.
Likely a toggle for the text box (#14). It is greyed out temporarily, possibly when moving between left and right sides.
User rank and level up bar.
LP (likely still 'live points'). Used up to play songs in the rhythm game, and replenished by waiting in real time.
Likely a shortcut to refill LP with in game resources.
Likely the Live Emotion equivalent to 'Prisms' in Shining Live. Used for the gacha and other in game functions.
Home? Unsure exactly what screen this may return to, since the official tweet refers to this backstage area as the home page.
Settings/options menu.
News/updates log. Unread information indicated by a red diamond top right.
Missions, goals or achievements. Likely that completed missions with unclaimed rewards are indicated by a red diamond top right.
Giftbox. Unclaimed gifts indicated by a red diamond top right.
Chat box transcribing what the speaking idol is saying, as well as their name.
Text reads: "Beginner Mission". (Text in white below this box just says that the game is still under development).
Speaking idol. There can be multiple idols in the backstage area at once (Camus seen in the background). They are represented by 3d models, and it looks like they will interact with the background and eachother. In this case, Otoya is speaking to the player, and Camus is inspecting a book in the background. Almost certain that the outfits and room can be customised.
Button to navigate to viewing 'Emotional Pieces'. Not exactly sure the best way to translate that, despite it being in Katakana, but 'Pieces' (?) seem to be the equivalent to photos/cards in Shining Live. So I'm assuming this will be the way to view, organise, level up etc all your collected pieces, whatever they may be. The icon makes me think of the cards from Aikatsu, with different cards representing different parts of a while outfit. It makes me wonder if there'll be a bit more of a dress-up element, where you can collect and mix and match different headwear, tops, and bottoms of clothing sets. Please let me know if piece/peace means something in this context that I dont know about!
Button to navigate to the 'Piece Gacha'. The system for obtaining 'pieces' via in game currency.
Button to navigate to the story. Like other things on the UI, it seems like unlocked but unread stories are indicated by a red diamond.
Button to navigate to 'MiniPri'. Likely either or both) a view with cute chibi versions of the characters and backstage area, or the way to customise the members and background of the backstage area. I wonder if you can unlock different furniture, wallpapers, floors etc, and move them around yourself, of if the backgrounds are set.
Button to navigate to the 'Live' screen, the main song selection for the rhythm game.

Forever and Always
Story-wise, I’m stuck near the beginning of lesson 21 :(. So I’m taking a break from leveling up cards and everything to pop out a few of those ideas! The weekends are really the only time I have to do this, so it slows me down a bit.
Hope you enjoy! This time: some angst.
Lucifers part may be a little triggering because the reader’s been semi-sedated. I’ll basically put the warning out that these are all near-death scenarios. I have no idea what could trigger people so I can’t really tell anyone what to look out for.
P.S: I’m totally down for writing Barbatos and Diavolo but I don’t really know anything about their personalities. If any of you have made it farther into the game or have uncovered things and would like to share them, please let me know!
P.S.S: I headcanon that Mammon has a messed up or mostly broken wing. I’m very suspicious that NONE of the bros had any wing damage from when they fell. Yeah, Lucifer ripped off two of his wings but SOMEONE had to end up with broken wings. I picked Mammon.
These got super long (as always) so I’m working on part 2 with the rest of the bros right now.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
It’s rare anyone gets a text from Barbatos (unless it’s on Diavolo’s behalf), and even rarer when it’s just instructions. A date, a time, and a place.
And a warning.
If you’re late, they die.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
Lucifer
He couldn’t believe it when he read it.
Lucifer had been on edge about it. The message was enough to break him, a warm-blooded demon, out in a cold sweat
The text message had woken him up in the wee hours of the very morning you were to die
Judging by the stars outside his window and the silence in the house, he was the first up
The eldest crept along the hallways to check on all of you--starting with Mammon, Beel, and Satan, and ending with you.
His gut twisted guiltily as he confirmed Satan was fast asleep in a nest of books, slowly unwinding from the chair and slipping into the floor. It pained him to think Satan, something of his creation, would be his first guess. The main worry.
If not Satan, than who?
The question haunted Lucifer into the early morning, the exhausted demon mulling the question over a cup of coffee.
He had breakfast delivered to the house, far too concerned to cook.
It wasn’t until you decided to portion off your treat to give some to that blossoming love of yours that it hit him like a Celestial Blade
That DEMON! Lucifer stood so abruptly he nearly snapped the handle off his mug, chair shooting back with a groan.
He could hear little splinters under his feet, brain barely processing that everyone was looking at him with concern. Suspicion.
“I’ve dawdled too long. I must get ready.” he excused himself.
Lucifer disappeared to his room, collecting everything for RAD.
Everything circled back to his D.D.D. He checked his pocket two, three, four times before he was convinced it’d stay with him while he went to the academy
Everything from then on was a countdown to the time in the text message.
The message wasn’t clear if you’d be dead at that time, or if he should arrive at that time. It was the farthest thing from his mind, Lucifer kicking the classroom door open so hard that it snapped off the hinges and tumbled awkwardly into the room
The room was hardly used but had recently been cleaned. With a slice of the gardens in the window, it would have been a darling picnic spot. If it were being used for a picnic, that is.
What he stumbled into was most certainly NOT a picnic. Far from it.
He recognized your lover, the cretin, but not the other three who’d crashed this little picnic. But there they were, studying books and hissing amongst themselves as they plotted out which pieces of you to take for themselves.
Humans were the rarest of delicacies among all the delicacies, after all.
Lucifer hadn’t yet unleashed his demon form and it was the arrogance of young demons that led the four to stand as if to challenge him.
“I am no longer an angel,” Lucifer removed his gloves as he glared at them sternly. His rage, the pride of being your protector, was getting the best of him. His fangs were growing, grinding against his words and making them pointed. “But you will beg for my mercy.”
Then he flew at them with all the rage he thought he’d given to Satan. Three of them had jumped on him; he could feel them trying to bite at him and scratching his skin with their claws.
There were hazy memories of snapping, tearing, biting, and all manner of chaos. The only clear thing he remembered was the perfect stillness in the room, the tang of blood, and scooping your drugged body up as gently as he could.
“Those vile creatures,” his soft, naked hands shook against your head as he fixed your hair and picked gore from your face. You were still awake, and could still look at him. Just enough light in your eyes to process things. To endure the agony of what would have been.
All of this would’ve been avoided if he could’ve just told you first. But his pride was too great. And he was the bearer of his sin.
“You are safe, beloved.” Lucifer walked quietly from the destroyed room, shoes squelching into the hallway as he took you to the infirmary.
Mammon
He treated the text like a prized secret.
Reading it was enough to give him an anxiety attack, honestly
He’d texted Barbatos back but the butler said he could give nothing else. ‘The text must be followed’ was all he would say.
Mammon is suspicious and observant by nature. For a brief moment he considered that Diavolo was playing a prank on him and had simply stolen Barbatos’ D.D.D., maybe even put him up to it
But the prince of the Devildom wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize the human transfer. Quite the opposite.
He went to go see Barbatos in person to try and squeeze some extra details out of the attendant, but was met with a stern face and narrowed eyes. Though Barbatos’ face was basically unreadable, Mammon could tell he thought about putting that silver serving platter upside his head (maybe even putting him in the stock pot)
“The text must be followed,” the butler insisted, brushing past him to reach for some spices.
Whatever it was, it was happening at Majolish
Mammon was getting ready for a shoot and his brain was frazzled.
He’d been irritated and jumpy all day.
What was he supposed to look for when he didn’t know what he was looking for?!
How is he supposed to protect you when he doesn’t know what will kill you?
Mammon sets an alarm on his D.D.D for when you’re supposed to meet your fate, and doing so almost makes him sick. He puts on a watch for extra measure.
Mammon’s in the middle of figuring out how to get you to Majolish when he hears Asmo trying to butter you into going shopping. It’s either an ‘I didn’t get picked’ pity trip or he just wants to steal you for himself
It makes Mammon think of something: do you die trying to go see him at Majolish? Do you originally go with Asmo and convince him to watch his shoot?
“Go ask Solomon,” Mammon throws his arm around your shoulder as he stares Asmo down (even though they’re the same height). “They’re busy.”
He tunes out of the usual banter, the standard names, and just gives you a gentle squeeze to start walking in time with him. Mammon ruffles Asmo’s hair for good measure, sure his little brother will spend precious time fixing it. That will give him enough of a lead to get you to Majolish.
Shoots can be laborious, Mammon is well-aware. There’s time in hair, makeup, wardrobe being painstakingly selected, and then it comes down to posing.
There’s re-shoots, different angles, all sorts of things.
He’s starting to wonder what the HELL the danger is or if Barbatos saw the wrong time. Nothing’s happened, you’re fine!
Mammon has trouble relaxing in the shoot because they keep moving you around to avoid shadows. Just keeping you out of the way, off to the side.
His hyper-fixation is starting to burn out. He checks his watch in-between pictures, ignoring all the help as the scuttle around to change lighting and reposition things.
It’s about five minutes until the accident. Mammon clutches his D.D.D. so hard it almost cracks.
He strong-arms the photographer into some couple pictures (’For the human. It’d probably help the issue sell better, anyways!”) when it finally happened.
No one hears it, of that he’s sure. HE didn’t even hear it. Mammon saw it before he heard it, the odd flicker of light. Mammon’s demon form takes over as he surges forward, blowing the photographer onto his back as he shoots overhead.
There was a huge set light plummeting towards your delicate little human head. A demon-made, Devildom brand set light that would surely turn you into a pancake.
He scoops you up and crushes you to his chest, veering around as best he can with his good wing.
The light whizzes past you both, scraping the thin skin of both wings. He stars the choppy descent down as the light crashed to the floor in a blaze of sparks and glittering glass.
“Dammit, human....” Mammon breathes into your hair, petting your head as his feet finally touch the ground again. His arm lingers around your waist a little longer than it should, but he doesn’t care.
The shoot ends there, everyone needing to clean up the mess. And your main man is now busy taking care of you, so he’s done for the day.
Mammon gets a preview issue almost a week later and is stunned to find a shot good enough for an action movie on the cover. It’s him holding you against him, barely in the air, framed by the sparks of that crashed light. A kiss would’ve made that shot worth a million bucks, is all he can think as he rolls himself out of bed to go brag about the cover.
Levi
Levi takes the text with absolute seriousness because Barbatos has never reached out to him. Ever.
Their relationship was a strained one, his and Barbatos’. Upon hearing of his ability to look into the future, Levi tried (and failed) multiple times to nicely/subtly ask for winning numbers on various raffles and ‘take a guess!’ premium giveaways.
He envied the butler for having such a cool power and hated that he was so stingy with it. But he was also afraid of being perceived as an annoying otaku and didn’t want to be whispered about as the ‘weird’ brother, so he took to avoiding him like the plague.
When he gets the text, he immediately hunts down the place where you’re to die.
The Devildom gets traveling acts every now and then. Rarely is there one that makes Levi want to come out of his room. He’s so stoked at the idea of a pop-up aquarium that he forgets he’s supposed to be investigating it and figuring out what could go wrong.
He’s familiar with all manner of sea creatures but these people have collected for centuries and there’s varieties he’s never seen!
Admittedly, he failed the objective of scoping out the place. Levi decided it was cool and would definitely come back to check it out some more.
He goes back a second time to see if he can connect with any of these creatures. There’s a link but it’s all vague. Some have nothing to show, others feel aggression, and some are waiting to be fed, and some have accepted this as their life.
It leaves him with mixed feelings, as does meeting the owners and curators. Levi gets the impression that these people don’t know how to care for these creatures, or have been doing the bare minimum for centuries.
He goes home, wondering how hard Diavolo looked into this traveling show. What if it was actually a ring con-men with stolen animals pretending to be a traveling aquarium?
Levi’s not surprised to hear Lucifer encourage the group to go see the aquarium on the day you’re supposed to die. Levi shyly tags along and intends to stay close by. He’s convinced he knows the best route through the aquarium
He’d prefer to take you on a tour by himself but doesn’t know if he has the guts.
It takes almost an hour to work through the whole aquarium, what with the groups and everything, and Levi is starting to feel socially taxed and mildly people claustrophobic.
Unexpectedly, the owner rushes everyone into a room he’d never seen. It’s a small arena speckled with chairs all facing a floating stage. Levi wants to write it off as a last-minute cash grab but can’t bring himself to say anything.
It’s almost like a weird carnival game. Pay a couple of Grimm, get a handful of feed, and see if the shadow below pops up to feast. You’re swept up into the feeding like--by Asmo? By accident? WHY. HUMAN, WHY?--and Levi knows THIS is where it happens.
He rushes onto the bobbing stage as you start tossing feed like the owner shows you, attempting to grab you around the waist and get you to FLAT, NORMAL, NICE, LAND
The creature bumps the stage and it bumps HARD. To a human it would be a small earthquake. Or like that nature documentary he and Satan watched about the killer whales knocking stuff off of icebergs.
Levi barely finishes going into his demon form when you hit the water. You’re tangled in his tail (that’s on purpose) and Levi’s trying to figure out WHERE THE HELL THE TEETH ARE.
The stage hasn’t settled enough to grab and all he can do is shoot through the water to throw the two of you onto land.
It has tendrils; he can feel them trying to figure out what he is and how to grab him. Levi wants to bite it as a defense mechanism but doesn’t know what drawing blood will do.
Your air is precious and running out. He coils and weaves himself together so you’re near his face. Levi breathes air into your mouth as the water churns and moves the two of you around.
His head breaches the surface and he does something he’s always threatened to do and probably hasn’t done in thousands of years: summons Lotan.
The creature comes when called, plopping down in the arena and generating a colossal wave that heaves the two of you onto dry land.
Everyone is understandably panicked. His brothers are dragging him away into a corner as visitors flee the room.
The owner is missing, the stage is in shambles, and the room is starting to fall apart. Lotan emerges victorious, as Levi knew he would, and eight people sit in the ruins to let the moment pass as everything falls into silence.
You plunk your head gratefully onto his chest, the two of you quite waterlogged, and Levi just pats you with a wet tail as Lotan leans its seven heads down to investigate what’s become of their master.

do you know why so many people like / post about Vulpes? how did this begin?
This ishonestly such a complicated question.
First ofall, I have to say, that I, as a person who has never been a fan of Vulpes, can’t say for sure where this at times overwhelming love comes from (a love thathas, admittedly, cooled down a bit over the years).
But thereason why this question is so complicated is that Vulpes is a character that keeps being interpreted in multiple ways, and everyone is 100% sure thattheir version of Vulpes is the right one, that they are the ones that actually manage to make himnot OOC.
Remember thetime where your dashboard was filled with sexy Vulpes art and numerous authorswrote smut fanfiction with him? Yeah, that’s one of the versions of Vulpes thatthe fandom has created.
In general,I think that the most common ones are 1) the dangerous, sexy lover Vulpes, 2)the calm, collected, smart and calculative Vulpes and 3) the insane, unpredictable but still very smart Vulpes.
And thenthere’s the fourth version that everyone is on board with, but that’s not whatthis question is about, I’m sure
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But theother ones... It might sound weird, but I actually think that a big part of thereason why Vulpes is so popular is Jason Spisak’s voice.
All of theversions of Vulpes I listed - and maybe I am missing something but these arethe ones I had to deal with - share one trait: danger. In all of them, Vulpesemits danger. The lover!Vulpes is self-expanatory. Actually, it feels like anyother dangerous~ character could have been put in his place. It seems, it’s noteven so much about him - he’s only a placeholder - it’s about the sexualphantasies behind him that all revolve around committing yourself to aunhealthy relationship, filled with power plays or even abuse. I think we allcan agree that content like this exists and that people manage to cloud theproblems connected to such relationships with steamy sex scenes and occasionalfluff that is there to tell us something like: “hey, see? it’s all good, nothing to worry about”. Behind all of this, hopes of changing the man for thebetter seem to be shimmering through, which, actually, manages to bring the picture ofan abusive relationship to its completion. This hope that the abusive partner is going to change for the better at some point and that he or she is actually not that bad of a person deep down but just needs help and compassion to bring it out - is a text-book case of an abusive relationship. Does that sound familiar to you? It sure does to me.
Thecalm!Vulpes is often pictured as a person who is wholy devoted to Caesar, devoted to such an extent that he hardly knows how to have fun anymore (if he ever did), and dedicateshis whole time to serving the Legion. He knows exactly what to do and how todo it, is focused, and I guess a bit of a fun-police kind of guy. He is like anexpensive clockwork. You do not know what is going on in his head and how heticks. You don’t know what he has planned next, only that he sure as hell hasplanned something. He is dangerous because of how unreadable and smart he is.He should be feared because he has all the ressources to get what he wants, always. I think that this interpretation of Vulpes gets quite out of handsometimes because people begin to think that there is absolutely nothing Vulpescouldn’t do. Vulpes could probably convince Caesar to put himself on fire andthrow himself off a cliff if he wanted, if fans are to be believed. Every kindof plotting and every kind of manipulation is automatically attributed to Vulpes,as if he is almighty - and the only one in the whole Legion who iscapable of any kind of manipulation. Not only is this unnatural, it’s alsobordering on a Marty Stu.
Then thereis the maniac!Vulpes people seem to forget about in favor of the calm!Vulpes. Idon’t know why, maybe it has something to do with wanting to relate to acharacter. It may also have something to do with thefact that the calm!Vulpes also has a bit more sex appeal than the guy we meetin Nipton after he burned the whole city and put peoples’ heads on stakes. Itlooks to me like the fandom willigly forgets about acts like these to preservetheir love towards Vulpes. There needs to be some justification for this love.
Whereascalm!Vulpes is like a fine clockwork, maniac!Vulpes acts more like a tickingtime bomb. You can never know what is going on in his head, just like withcalm!Vulpes, but when you find out, it is going to be epic or grotesque. Dangeris his second name, just as with the other two.
One of the versions of maniac!Vulpes is - yet again - the sexy beast maniac!Vulpes. It’s the Vulpes that is licking blood off his lips. It’s the Vulpes that is licking down blood from his Ripper. Death and blood are being mixed with sex, and this is the face of Vulpes fans create. Just like the other two versions of Vulpes, it is being hyperbolized, until there isn’t much left of the character people claim to love so much.
There’s onething you have to give Vulpes - he’s intense.
Everymeeting you have with him is intense, and the order you do your quests in,doesn’t really alter this fact. And yes, I do believe that the job Jason Spisakdid as a voice actor is a big, big reason why Vulpes became so popular. Thisintensity? It comes from his voice. In a game with a limited engine such as NewVegas, a game where all NPC have a set of maybe a dozen movements and/or facialexpressions when they speak to you, the voice is absolutely crucial inestablishing a character and getting people to connect to them. Jason Spisakmade the most of it and filled his voice with danger, seductiveness, a promiseof more to come, ominousness... These things, in my opinion became the greatasset of Vulpes’ popularity - and his ultimate downfall as a character.
He isconstantly being reduced to one of the traits Jason managed to convey withhis voice, and often enough it’s this sex appeal - whichhas, in my opinion, been the most disastrous side-effect of Jason’s greatvoice.
This post below sums up my thoughts perfectly, to be honest.
Tumblr media
There’s the Vulpes we meet in the game. And there is the Vulpes that the fandom has created. These characters have little to do with each other. One thing this whole situation shows, is the fact that Vulpes is a highly complex character indeed if his appearance in New Vegas managed to spawn so many interpretations. But, alas, his complex nature is now almost completely lost and forgotten. I myself forgot abot it and started realizing how much the fanon!Vulpes clouded my vision only while writing this post.
I know that there are people who love him for exactly his complex personality, but this post is about the mainstream content.

What are your favourite/most reccomended skyrim mods for someone who's only played vanilla?
Okay, so I went through my Nexus Mods Manager and Steam Workshop mods lists and picked out some of my favorites. (Note that some of them require SKSE.)
General:
ETA: Forgot to mention the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, which is honestly something worth having even if you don’t use mods, because there are a lot of broken quests and glitches even in the vanilla game and this makes it so you encounter less of that.
SkyUI - Takes a little while to get used to, but once I did, I definitely prefer it to the vanilla UI. Also adds a Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) that a lot of other mods use to toggle different options offered by those mods.
Sounds of Skyrim - There are three: The Wilds, Civilization, and The Dungeons. Adds a ton of new sound effects to the game and lets you toggle which ones you do/don’t want.
Climates of Tamriel - New weather patterns, sounds, lighting, etc.
Run For Your Lives and When Vampires Attack - If you’re tired of unarmored, unarmed NPCs rushing at incredibly lethal creatures and expecting good results.
Better Stealth AI for Followers - Because it’s really annoying when you’re trying to sneak and your follower is carrying a damn torch.
Mods for your convenience:
Detailed Mine Map Markers - Adds the type of ore that can be found in the mine in parenthesis after the mine’s name on the map. VERY convenient.
House Markers - Adds map markers to player homes that are available in the base game.
Return Home Teleport Spells - Adds spellbooks to each of the houses you can get in the main game, plus the Ragged Flagon and Archmage Quarters.
Teleportation Books and Teleportation Books (Dawnguard) - More teleportation spellbooks.
Lock Picking Chalk Marks - I wish I found this mod twelve playthroughs ago. It makes lockpicking a lot more tolerable.
Infinite Gold for Merchants - Gives each merchant 20,000 gold to barter with. Useful if you’re like me and like crafting and stealing and hoarding but then have trouble selling it all without having to travel to five different cities.
Lightweight Potions and Poisons - Adjusts potion/poison weight to 0.1 instead of 0.5 so you can carry more stuff.
Earring of Unburden Lite - Earring that significantly increases your carry weight. Thank god.
Bandolier Bags and Pouches - If you still need more carry weight (I know I do) and/or love accessorizing.
Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers - If you’ve ever done this quest, you know how useful this would be.
Jiub’s Opus Quest Markers - Why this wasn’t in the base game is beyond me.
Unread Books Glow - Adds a glow to any books you haven’t read yet (including skill books). Helpful especially if you like collecting things.
Enemies-related mods:
Extended Encounters - The original that I have installed has been taken off Nexus Mods, but apparently there’s a similar one here.
Even More Dragons! - Adds significantly more encounters with dragons - I love it, but it’s hell when you’re still at a low level, so be careful. There are two other versions - More Dragons! (more encounters than usual, but less than Even More Dragons!) and Most Dragons! (which… I tried this one first and it’s great if you feel like fighting four dragons at once outside of a major city and then having to resurrect like 20+ NPCs when the dust settles just so you’re not walking around in a ghost town, but if you just want to casually complete quests without constantly being on fire, I recommend downgrading to More Dragons or Even More Dragons, lmao).
Extra Encounters and Extra Encounters (Dawnguard) - In case you still aren’t satisfied with the sheer number of people, places, and things that want to kill you in Skyrim.
Diverse Dragons Collection - Adds 14 new types of dragons to the game, so while you’re constantly being harassed by dragons, at least you get some variety.
More Enemies - Adds new types of enemies to the game. (Beware the bridge trolls, they’re dicks.)
(This is getting long, so I’ll put the rest under a cut.)
Factions:
Moonlight Tales - Customizable werewolves. Offers different pelt and eye options; a wolfkin alliance option (i.e. if you’re a werewolf, wolves and other werewolves aren’t hostile); and options for involuntary lunar transformations, which adds a new dynamic to the game.
All Thieves Guild Jobs Concurrently - Lets you take one of each type of job from Vex and Delvin simultaneously, which means less trips to and from the Ragged Flagon.
Localized Thieves Guild Jobs - Lets you choose which Hold you want a job for, rather than having it be randomized. Which means less saving and reloading and cursing in order to get a job in that last Hold you haven’t taken over yet. (Not compatible with All Thieves Guild Jobs Concurrently. I’ve tried both and both are good, it just depends on your playstyle which you might prefer.)
Improved Vampirism - Requires Dawnguard.
Aesthetics™:
Enhanced Blood Textures - [chanting] more blood! more blood! more blood!
Pure Waters - Really improves the appearance of rivers, lakes, etc.
Book Covers Skyrim - Adds really nice unique covers to all the books in the vanilla game and DLC.
Lanterns of Skyrim - Adds lanterns along the roads all throughout Skyrim. They turn on automatically when it starts to get dark (iirc you can customize the timing in the MCM).
Shadowmarks - Adds Shadowmarks to player homes. Because the Guild Master lives here.
Skills/Crafting/etc.:
Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade - Exactly what it says on the tin. Also very customizable depending on your specific preferences (requires SkyUI for its MCM feature).
Wintermyst Enchantments - Adds 124 new unique enchantments to the game. FUN.
Smithing Redesigned - Redesign of the smithing skill tree.
Smelting Plus - Melt more stuff.
NPCs:
Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions - Lets you adopt up to 6 kids. You need to couple it with player home mods that allow for 6 kids (there’s a list of compatible mods in the mod description).
Khajiit Child Ma’isha - Adorable Khajiit daughter. Just recently, a dragon was attacking me and she ran over and started wailing on it with a dagger I gave her. I love her. (Supplement with this mod, which lets her wear actual child clothes. Because sometimes with mods that add non-human children, the clothes are glitchy bc the mod uses the adult models of those races that already exist in the game, just… make them smaller, lmao.)
Adopt Aventus Aretino - Because when he grows up he wants to be an assassin, just like you.
Lucy and Louis - Adoptable vampire children, because why the hell not.
Marriable Serana - Because why isn’t she romanceable already? (+ Hearthfire addon, to allow her to move into homes added by the Hearthfire DLC.)
Khajiit Black Market - Adds black market merchants to taverns across Skyrim. They sell useful stuff like spellbooks, all kinds of soul gems, rarer alchemy ingredients (e.g. nirnroot, daedra hearts), etc. - and, of course, skooma and moon sugar.
Kidmer - Adds a bunch of adoptable mer children to the game. Because it’s weird that only human children exist in Skyrim.
Beast Kids - Adds Argonian and Khajiit children to the game.
Adopt Beast Kids - More Argonian and Khajiit children, but adoptable.
Dominions More Khajiit - Just adds more Khajiit NPCs throughout Skyrim (and not just enemies - they’re NPCs with specific names and present in different factions, e.g. in the Companions and Dark Brotherhood).
Dovahbit of Caerbannog - Super cute immortal bunny follower that wears tiny helmets and carries all your stuff. Seriously.
Friendly Brynjolf - Makes it so he doesn’t keep blowing you off with the same one-liner after completing the main Thieves Guild questline. Also makes him marriable.
Quests:
The Paarthurnax Dilemma - Makes it so you can say “fuck off, I’m not killing the penitent dragon, he’s just minding his business on top of his mountain and talking at clouds” to the Blades and the quest won’t just indefinitely hang around in your quest journal forever because you refuse to kill Paarthurnax because who would want to do that. But also if you do want to kill Paarthurnax for some reason, this mod apparently adds dragons who will defend him from your treachery.
Wyrmstooth - This one adds a whole new region and questlines to the game, but it’s been taken off Nexus (it was the same author as Extended Encounters). I’m mentioning it bc it’s worth knowing about in case it ever gets put back up.
Falskaar - Adds a new region and questlines.
The Forgotten City - This one’s hard to explain so I’ll just say I highly recommend it and give you the description as provided by the mod creator: “a murder mystery investigation set in an ancient underground city. You’ll need to solve it using your wits, and the ability to travel through time. It has a dark, non-linear story in which you’ll interrogate suspects, explore the city and its many secrets, and navigate challenging moral dilemmas. It features multiple endings, an original orchestral score, and professionally voiced dialogue.”
Following Mercer: A Thieves Guild Quest - A short questline that takes place after the main Thieves Guilt questline. You kinda just follow clues to find Mercer’s hiding places for all the loot he stole, and also kick his now-ethereal ass a few more times.
Markarth Undercity - Really cool questline. In case you wanted to spend more time in Markarth, but underground this time.
New Markarth Adventures - Because hell is Markarth.
Helgen Reborn - I literally just installed this one for my newest playthrough so I don’t have much to say about it yet, but it looks interesting. Make sure you don’t have this one active until after you finish “Unbound (the first quest in the game, where you escape from Helgen) because otherwise you get stuff like this.
Legacy of the Dragonborn - This is a HUGE mod. It adds a museum in Solitude for you to put all of your collectibles (including collectibles from several player-created mods that are either packaged with it or compatible with it), as well as its own questlines.
Moonpath to Elsweyr - Adds a new questline that lets you travel to Elsweyr. Can be a bit glitchy, though - like, in some of my previous playthroughs, it would make all sabre cats in the game invisible, lmao. It’s packaged with Legacy of the Dragonborn if you decide to use that one, and I don’t have the invisible-sabre-cat problem anymore ever since uninstalling the standalone Moonpath to Elsweyr and just using Legacy of the Dragonborn, so ymmv.
Missing Apprentices - This just fixes the unfinished Missing Apprentices quest in the vanilla game.
Armor/weapons/items:
Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons - Both add a ton of new armor and weapons to the game.
PrivateEye’s Heavy Armory - Adds a ton of new weapons and variety to the game.
More Interesting Loot - What it says on the tin.
LC_Immersive Looting - More loot items, like above.
EK Ring Limiter - Toggle how many rings you want your character to be able to wear at once.
Cloaks of Skyrim - Cloaks! Cloaks everywhere!
Amulets of Skyrim - Now with more amulets!
Konahrik’s Accoutrements - Dragon Priest Armory - This is another one I just added and I’m not far enough along in my playthrough to be able to see any of the content yet, but supposedly it’s pretty good.
The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal - If you’re in for some Oblivion nostalgia.
Skyrim’s Unique Treasures - If you’re the collecting type.
Improved Closefaced Helmets - Better meshes for the closed-face headgear in the game.
Skill Book Overhaul - Adds more skill books to the game. I just added this one yesterday but so far I like it.
Royal Armory - Just added this one yesterday, too. Adds some unique weapons for certain prominent characters.
Unique Weapons Redone - Gives unique weapons actual unique appearances, rather than just looking like common weapons with added enchantments.
Recurve Longbows, Recurve Longbows - Dawnguard, Recurve Longbows - Dragonborn - Add longbows to the game. They do more damage and have a longer range, but the pullback time is longer, so it’s a nice balance. There’s also a really cool longbow you can get once you unlock the Dragonrend shout - it’s basically a longbow with an enchantment that has the same effect as the Dragonrend shout, and it’s great (especially if you have one of those More Dragons mods installed).
Diamond Smithing Collection - A series of mods for craftable gemstone weapons and armor.
Light Armor Hoods - Craftable hoods.
Thieves and Assassins - A Better Rewards and Treasure Mod - Makes it so the loot you find will be more oriented toward thief and assassin characters (light armor, daggers, bows, etc.). Nice if you’re like me and usually play the exact same type of character and have little use for heavy armor or two-handed weapons.
Player homes:
Elysium Estate - My favorite player home mod so far. It’s gorgeous and detailed, has toggle-able displays for unique items (Thieves Guild quest items, dragon claws, dragon priest masks, Daedric artifacts, etc.), a guest house for followers outside, planters outside for planting your own garden, tons of storage for specific items, a lot of bookshelves, a bunch of crafting stations in the basement (Skyforge/smelter/grindstone/workbench, alchemy and enchanting tables), its own cow and goat and chickens (they have names any everything and they’re coded as necessary NPCs, so you don’t have to worry about the constantly-spawning dragon in that area killing them). There’s a cute little backstory (it belonged to a gardener who worshiped Kynareth and is passing it on to the next worthy person) but there’s no quest to get it, you just have to read a note on the front door and find the key, so you can basically access it in the very beginning of the game. It’s also compatible with Hearthfire multiple adoptions, so there’s an option for six children’s beds.
Breezehome FullyUpgradable - This is my second-favorite player home mod, and it was my go-to before I found Elysium Estate. It adds a lot more storage, displays, etc., but my favorite thing about it was that it added a basement area with a library, a secret entrance accessible from a cave outside Whiterun, and crafting stations with autochests. Basically, when you access a specific storage container (smithing chest, alchemy ingredient bag, etc.) it automatically scans your inventory and gives you an option to automatically empty all applicable items into that container, rather than having to go through and put away each item yourself. It’s also hooked up to the crafting stations - so if you activate the forge/workbench/grindstone, it automatically adds everything from the smithing chest to your inventory, and then automatically puts it all back when you’re done. It’s pretty convenient.
Khajiit-related mods:
I basically always play a Khajiit, so I have a lot of mods specific to beast races.
Amazing Race Tweaks - Khajiit - Different passive race abilities for Khajiit. I also have this supplemental mod installed to cancel out the jumping bonus - jumping very high is fun but it takes twice as long to come back down and that was annoying for my impatient ass. (Amazing Race is a series btw, there are versions for other races besides Khajiit.) Also check out Passive Race Abilities.
Khajiit Speak - Complete Dialogue Overhaul - Makes playing as a Khajiit a LOT more immersive. It changes your dialogue choices to match the dialect of the rest of the Khajiit in the game (e.g. use of the third-person rather than the first-person), and also adds Khajiit-specific bits of lore (e.g. using the Khajiit names for the various gods). Also, lots of sarcasm - it’s pretty great.
Khajiit Ears Show - Headgear doesn’t hide the kitty ears. This is a TES5Edit script so it requires you to use that. I honestly have no clue what I’m doing with TES5Edit but I followed the instructions in the mod description and somehow got it to work, so…
Coverkhajiits - More high res textures for Khajiit.
Digitigrade Beast Races - Gives Khajiit proper paws for feet. Also gives Argonians raptor feet. Compatible with the armor in the main game and DLC, but not always compatible with new armor from other mods.
Better Claws and Gauntlets - Actually see the claws on Argonians and Khajiit. Like above, not always compatible with armor added by other mods. And if you’re not wearing gauntlets, the claws usually don’t show.
Dawnguard Glowing Vampire Eye Fix - Lets Orc, Argonian, and Khajiit vampires have glowy vampire eyes.
Beast Skeletons - Adds Mer, Khajiit, and Argonian skulls and skeletons. Because it gets boring seeing only human skeletons everywhere. (It’s mostly lore-friendly, so you won’t come across a bunch of nonhuman skeletons in the ancient Nord burial sites or anything like that.)

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst still offers an open-world city like no other • Eurogamer.net
Years ago, EA’s building in the UK was a Foster and Partners number in Chertsey. And it had a handful of interesting features. There was a moat. There were ducks involved, or maybe swans. The front of the structure came off (on purpose) and leaked (not on purpose). From the air the whole thing looked a bit like the letter E. Electronic!
Inside it was pure Bond lair, of course, this being the era which also gave us the doomy concrete spinal excavation of Westminster Tube Station, my favourite building in London because I am a massive child, loose in the world with nothing in my skull but feathers. (Westminster Tube is definitely Bond, but definitely also Brosnan Bond.) Anyway, EA’s place: with oddly angled windows ensuring you never knew which direction the automatic blinds were going to descend from, skeletal staircases and lots of dark surfaces. You can see it for yourself in films like Inception and TV shows like Jekyll. Anything with a touch of horror or unease. The Bond people never actually used it, I gather. The heights were not quite right for it to be truly deathly, but it did a good job of being Deathly Junior. A mausoleum built to the specs of a condominium. EA doesn’t live there any more.
I’ve spent the last few days in another collision of EA and architecture, though. And again, although Foster and Partners were not involved, it’s also disquieting and abstractly villainous and filled with odd features. A lot of people might argue that it leaks, too, or at least that it is not quite fit for purpose. No matter. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is finally on Steam and I have been running and jumping, diving and swooping across its squeaky world. I’m in love.

Emad has already made the case that this game is politically and socially a lot more interesting and progressive than most video game sequels. If you only read one piece on Mirror’s Edge today, re-read his! Meanwhile, I’m going to look purely at the game’s landscape – how it affects the game’s atmosphere and how it shapes the feeling of play.
Remember when they announced a sequel to Mirror’s Edge, the pristine parkour-heavy action game from Dice, all shot through with wiry energy and surprising heft, and they said it was going to be open-world this time? I remember thinking: that’s going to have to be a very different kind of open world. The first game was emphatically not open-world, and it’s hard to see how it would have worked in that way. Instead, each level was a sort of white-box Rubik’s Snake of urban design, gloriously sunny and bleached outside, the surfaces somehow chalky, and chalk is just the remains of the dead isn’t it? And then, muddly and fussy and a bit of a migraine indoors.
These places were great, if you ask me. I even liked getting lost in office buildings with the hint button pointing me mindlessly at my own feet when I really needed an exit. But it wasn’t for everyone, which is a phrase that must not delight an outfit like EA. And the idea of exploding these spaces outwards, retaining their intricacy while allowing them to become open-world areas fit for exploration and repeated journeys and multiple purposes – I can imagine the kind of headaches this design would cause. The first Mirror’s Edge bristled with places that gave the careful impression that they connected to other places. But that’s very different to places that actually do connect.
Anyway, the genius of Catalyst – and it is genius; despite the understandably chilly reception the game got, I find it intermittently more than thrilling – is that its open spaces do connect, but also still give the impression that there are yet deeper connections that cannot be accessed. Rooftops, alleyways and ladders! Ducts and open-air business suites, that indoor-outdoor lifestyle everyone’s after in the Valley. All of this. Drainpipes, server boxes, cooling fans that you learn to pause so you can move through them. This is the City of Glass, all but devoid of life and with a skyline that looks like it’ s made from guesswork renders of next-gen consoles. This is a city of paths and routes, but as the name suggests, it’s also a city of surfaces.
What I mean is that I’m dazzled by the sheer number of times I find myself looking through a surface that’s in front of me. There are windows, obviously, giving me views of sterile workspaces or endless iterations of corporate artwork. But then there are vents with slatted surfaces giving a glimmer of what’s beyond. And the floors! You never saw such floors. There are times when you look down and see through the floor, through grills or thin metal rattle-punched with holes, through squeaky clear stuff that is neither glass nor plastic but seems to have been imported from J.J. Abram’s Enterprise. Look down into rooms you maybe can or cannot access. Additional crawlspaces that may or may not be meant for your use.
Then look up. Again, oppressively bleached surfaces and clear light rule in this city. The city is the story here – so cold and unkind and heavy-handed. But the further you go, the more you find missions in which you leave the city itself behind and below with little warning and find yourself climbing through the innards of giant computers. Perhaps the point is that the city itself is a computer, with electrons moving about with more agency than the humans. Certainly more at home with these straight lines and sharp turns than the rare people you sometimes glimpse, looking down through a glass ceiling somewhere, all of them trapped in rooms that don’t seem to have any obvious entrances or exits.
What does this place allow for? It’s surprisingly entertaining really. It looks like an afternoon at the dentist but it encourages zip and flow. The best mission has you going up a skyscraper to remove something rather crucial to its design at the top. It’s the point in the game where you learn the fast-turn move that you may have neglected to buy up until now because it looked like a faff. Suddenly all the things you can do with your move-set link together because of that fast-turn. It reminds me in full pelt of Burnout Paradise, actually, that sense of carving a perfect channel through a world that rushes around you but magically never connects when you most fear it’s going to. Pipes, used for climbing, are suddenly there to allow you to do quick quarter circle moves. The red items of runner vision line up so beautifully that you can forget that this is another game about rebellion delivered by means of following a line from the start to the finish. A rush.
And when you do hit the ground, it’s worth something. I love the moment of impact when you’re left jarred and shaking and looking at your hands on the beautifully rendered floor, and glimpsing all those possible places beneath it. They’re necessary, these heavy stops. They are the weighted price you pay that makes all that gliding and dashing feel fair, feel real. They’re the bill being settled. And they too are built into the city.
Images like this are a bit of a reminder that EA didn’t know how to market this one in a world where they clearly feared everyone else was playing Assassin’s Creed.
Meanwhile, when the flow breaks, this game is the closest thing I have ever encountered to those dreams where you have to do something simple but can’t. For me it’s always dialling a phone number, prodding in the wrong buttons, deleting, starting over, unable to stumble through the area code. It seems like a cold place, even an annoying place. But in between missions I’m finding the City of Glass is surprisingly fun to sweep around and collect doodads in and do the side-stuff. It’s fun to get lost, to get stuck in those nightmare loops. It’s fun just to race about this jumble, always moving up and down, a city defined by a control scheme which really only wants you to think about whether to move up or down in the first place.
And weirdly it keeps reminding me of real locations, much more than a lot of other video game cities ever do. Maybe it’s a narrowing of specifics, but a scattering of specifics. San Andreas is Los Angeles and only Los Angeles. Crackdown 3 is pure cold-filtered Croydon with no added sugar. The emptiness of the City of Glass makes me remember ancient weekends exploring the deserted City in London, or one night, long ago, when a girlfriend and I followed a single dancing trail of white house paint that had been dribbled along miles of the South Bank. But it doesn’t stay in London. It’s fun to wander through the City of Glass and ponder the possible influences, in fact. I wonder about the things that the invisible designers (who seem to lurk, as open-world designers always do, high overhead, peering down, not entirely benevolent) have read that I may have read too, like an old Lloyd Wright Jr plan to turn Bunker Hill in Los Angeles into a kind of book-end necropolis, a giant walled space where different modes of transport were separated out on tracks of different heights and different widths. To be surrounded by traffic menageries that you sensed but would never fully see. That’s very Mirror’s Edge.
What this city has that is all its own, though, and I think that this will be my lingering memory of this game, is those layers upon layers: not-glass, not-grill, not-plastic, all of them slides giving glimpses of the worlds trapped beneath them. And over it all this singular texture that I now realise unites everything while leaving everything subtly unreadable. This gloss. Slick and squeaky – visual and aural noise.
Everything in the city has been coated in this stuff, this gloss, so you will never really know what it is. Plastic, concrete, foam? The rudiments of materials are always beautifully done. But then there is always a sense of a micro-layer on top, a kandy-ing. And like so much else here, I kind of love it.

10 Must have best Andriod Apps for 2018
The Android apps are alone at the top of the Pantheon. These applications are ubiquitous Android, and if you are looking for good things, it is assumed that you already have something on this subject. There are a host of amazing Android apps out there. but with them their usefulness is generally limited to people's habits. These programs should not have these problems. Anyone can use it. Without further delay, here are the best Android apps is not possible at the moment! Be sure to come back because we hold each month this update!
1Weather
1Weather is probably the best weather app. It has a simple, paginated design that shows the current weather forecast for up to 12 weeks, a radar and other fun stats. Along with that, you get a fairly decent set of easily customizable widgets and standard items such as severe weather alerts and radar to help you see the approaching storm. Perhaps its best feature is its minimalist design, which only shows the true (and fun facts, if you like). The free version has all the features. Add the $ 1.99 charge removed ads, but nothing. Most of the many fun facts will surely enjoy, the app offers. Other major applications include dark sky, Weather Underground and now.
Google Drive Suite
Google Drive is a cloud storage solution for Android, where all new users 15GB permanently free of the application. You can of course buy more than necessary. What makes Google Drive so special suite of Android apps that are connected to it. These include Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google presentations, Google Books, Gmail, Google Calendar and keep Google. Between Office programs Photos app (which allows unlimited photo and video backup) and hold the notes that you have practical applications for what to do in terms of productivity. Some of the features of these applications include live collaboration, sharing deep features and compatibility with Microsoft Office documents. Microsoft Office has a similar arrangement with onedrive and Office. But Google solution is easier to use.
Google Maps
Google Maps almost owners of navigation apps stage and the remains of the best Android apps of all time. He receives frequent, almost weekly add his incredibly generous list of features available updates that only seems. Side of the first base, Google Maps gives you access to places of interest, traffic information, directions on topics such as rest stops or gas stations, and they can even now offline maps (Albite temporarily). If you know that the state experience add where tons of its own characteristics, and you do not need any other navigation app. Ea.
Google Assistant / Google Now / Google Search
This is a seriously powerful program. It also works on most Android devices. Just download the app and activate. From there you can ask what you want. It also supports a number of commands. You can control the light, ask about population control, and it can even do simple math problems for you. There are a variety of products such as Google, Bose QC II Bluetooth headphones, home and Chrome as usual functionality further. There is also another Google Assistant app for those who want a quick launch icon on the Home screen. Hardware things cost money, but Google Assistant is free. Amazon Alexa is an excellent program in this space, but it does not flagship units in the way we like to see that support.
Google Play Music and Youtube
We generally do not recommend services to people streaming. Everyone has their preferences, saying that one is better than another is a matter of opinion at this point. With the exception of Google Play Music. The app can read both your local files and the music that you like online. Additionally, you can upload thousands of songs free of service. YouTube is of course a kind. There is more content is a human person can see in several lifetimes. It is including music videos, educational videos, news, videos, reviews, video games let his pieces, and a whole lot more. YouTube Music is now also a thing. However, it is not quite as good as Google Music still playing. We expect the service to improve in the coming years.
LastPass Password Manager
LastPass is one of those must-have Android apps. It is a password manager that allows you to store your login information in a secure manner. On top of that, it can help password almost impossible to generate for you to use on your accounts. Everything is controlled by a master. It has cross-platform support that enables computers, mobile devices, tablets, or what you can use. There are others, but LastPass always feels like it's a step forward. In addition, the Premium version is cheap. You can also LastPass Authenticator take to go to extra security. There are other options like 1Password, Dash Lane, KeePassDroid, and others who feel as well. But LastPass feels a little friendlier and safer (mostly), especially with its extra Authenticator app.
Nova Launcher
At first we did not want pitcher on this list. Nova Launcher appears above which, to be to expand what normal throwers. It has been consistently renewed for years, and therefore there has never been a good opportunity for a replacement launcher. It comes with numerous features, the ability to secure and including your home screen set ups, restore icon for all Android applications, tons of customization items to the home screen and app drawer themes and more. You can also create pixel Launcher, if you want. If you go premium, you unread badges for Apps icon and swipe attach actions to gesture control number. There is not much to say. It's just that good.
Pocket Casts
Those who enjoy podcasts probably the easiest decision about using podcast program. The answer to this question is to throw bags. This incredibly stable and great app allows you to download various podcasts for your enjoyment or power. It has both audio and video podcast support, so you can catch almost anything. There is also a light and dark theme, a login function, so you can sync your podcasts recommendations on equipment, and a pretty decent job. It is the last podcast app, you need to download Android apps and one of the best out there.
Zedge
Last but not least on our list is Zedge. This is a wallpaper, ringtones, sounds, messages and alarm notification app that gives you so many options to customize the basic parts of the device. Moreover, a comprehensive collection of things that have Zedge also promotes various items during the holidays easy to theme your phone for Christmas, Halloween and other holidays to make. It's not perfect 100%. It has the occasional bugs and some annoying advertisements. Zedge Premium is a new initiative to provide premium content at a reasonable price. It is still relatively new, so we in our thoughts, book now. But any app in the Play Store ringing tones, alert tones, alarm tones, or virtually Zedge has.
SwiftKey keyboard
SwiftKey keyboard is one of the most powerful and customizable external keyboards available. It hit the market a few years ago with a predictive engine unlike any other keyboard and the app has grown over the years. It's a free download and you can buy tea when you want. Other features include a special series of numbers, SwiftKey Flow, motion input, multiple language support, cross-device sync your library and more offers. It's as good as it gets in instead of the keyboard. It is true that Microsoft has SwiftKey now, but so far they have not measured it succeeded. GBOARD, Google Keyboard app is exceptionally well also and is agonizingly close second here.
