What is it? The Month of Motherhood in Fiction is, as the name implies, a month-long event with the aim of encouraging the creation and sharing of fan works which center on mothers, motherhood, and the social and personal complexities of both. 

Mainstream fiction often fridges mothers, demonizes mothers, sanitizes motherhood into something pure and edgeless, or frames motherhood as something that is both hetero and cis-nomative and stifling. The aim of this event is to encourage the breaking of that framework through fanworks. Show us real characters, not archetypes. Show us grit and realness. Push boundaries, break convention, and push definitions. 

While we do want this to shine a spotlight on canonical mothers, we also want to celebrate motherhood as a feeling and experience anyone can have — a type of experience, rather than a gendered experience. 

When is it? The month of September!

Who can participate? Anyone! This is a multi-fandom, mulit-media event. 

What are the guidelines? Create something! Fic submissions must be at least 500 words. Add it to our AO3 collection and/or tag this blog on a tumblr post, so we can reblog it. At the end of September, we will create a big round-up post, and tag all the creators who participated! If your work is a little late, don't worry, you can still post it and we'll reblog it!

Any rating or subject matter is welcome in this event, but please tag and warn correctly. NSFW and works with heavily triggering content will be clearly marked in the round-up posts. Improperly tagged work will not be included in the round-up post.

Hello! I'm Gray, a writer and comic artist with a couple published works. Right now, I'm opening fan-fiction requests! Read the rules below the cut, drop your request in my inbox and I might write it and post it on AO3. Hate it? Welp, no money lost there. Love it? Great! Consider tipping me through Ko-fi! I'm most likely to write for whatever's in bold. If you don't see a fandom in there but still want to see me write a fic for it, feel free to inbox me asking if I've seen it before sending a request in! Same goes for ships. I've too many things on there to list my ship preferences, so feel free to inquire about those too.

What I WON'T write:

Outright smut. Trust me, I won't do it right. SLIGHT foreplay and fade-to-blacks work fine though.

Pedophilia and Adult/Minor ships, incest, non-con, dub-con and other such bullshit.

Fics for media I'm unfamiliar with.

Anything I'm uncomfortable with.

Mulit-chap fics. ( Unless I feel like it )

What I WILL write:

Shipfics, even for ships I'm not into.

Platonic, familial, antagonistic, queerplatonic relationships and whatever else.

Fics where a character develops in one way or the other.

Fics where a character devolves.

Fix-its. ( Especially for BBC Merlin. )

First and third-person fics ( but third person is preferred ).

Here's a sample of my writing in the form of a quick mini-fic.

She was an Opera Singer. Shoddy but blessed with the luck of a thousand clovers. He was an architect. Top of the line. Designed the very site of their demise. I met them both on the same day. They didn’t seem to know one another and yet the glint in her eyes was so in-tune with his that I first pegged them for lovers.  I’m here to assure you they were certainly not. She had a husband that wasn’t him, and he had a wife that wasn’t her. It just so happened that they were in a similar predicament. Coincidentally. Otherwise there’s no way they would’ve come to me.  I took care of it at a fair price: a couple of dollars and two lifelong friendships. Lifelong for them, that is. My life's still ongoing.  It was throughout the span of that friendship with me that something not particularly favourable had blossomed betwixt them. A ponderable passion. It was nothing sensual or emotional, but maybe spiritual– it was like they were both part of something the rest of the world wasn’t in on.  You know– one day she came up to me and she said something to the effect of... “I wish we’d both just disappear together”  But also without one another.  Her eyes told me the latter bit.  I didn’t expect them to go out like that, though. Definitely not. I didn’t even know she could sew! Oh and with that joint will, too, no less! How ironic.  Somehow, they look happier this way.  But, what do I know, right?  I’m nothing but a humble apothecary, really, nothing more.  That’s all I can tell you — because it’s all I know. So won’t you go on with that marvel of a will now? It’s getting late. 

I'd recommend only tipping after you see the fic just to make sure you didn't send money out for something you don't like. This is also because I reserve the right not to fulfill every single request. So the only way to be sure it'll come through is to wait 'till the fic is up!

Welcome to part three of my positivity shoutouts. I will be doing these in alphabetical order and hope my scattered brain won’t forget anyone. Given I can only put people on here I follow and therefore know, feel free to send in positivity for people in the House of the Dragon fandom who I have missed & not mentioned, so I can include them in a later post! 

@idanazaldrizes - what a lovely oc you have! there are a lot of oc children for rhaenyra out there, but i literally never grow tired of them, because rhaenya is the mom ™ and deserves all the babies. aerea ( also kudos for the name choice, i love that name from got lore ) is beautifully written and a delight on my dash <3 keep up the good work

@incissam - another wonderful, talented and lovely rhaenyra! i have absolutely no duplicate anxiety and love to surround myself with other amazing beans who write my favorite character and this phenomenal mun does the best job at breathing life into her and doing her justice!

@inspireswar - beautiful lyanna <3 vic is one of the absolute best people on here and even though lyanna technically is a got muse, she has a hotd verse and i therefore claim her for this fandom :D vic is an incredibly talented, kind, creative and just overall perfect gem of a human being and makes my dash a better place with all of the characters she writes. lyanna is stunning and you should all interact with her!

@kipagircs - my son! we’re not just basically neighbors, but hannah also writes rhaenyra’s my favorite son perfectly. our sweet boy is wonderfully fleshed out, and the mun has developed him perfectly past his SUPPOSED death that never actually happened bc my boi gets to live a long and happy life. amazing & kind mun, who is just a joy to have around!

@leschanceux - another amazing mulit with a wonderful collection of hotd muses that are all written incredibly well and there are even some of the rarer ones we don’t get to see very often. the mun is also absolutely lovely, welcoming and super approachable. couldn’t imagine my dash without them on it!

@lykosog - technically another got muse and not hotd, but it is becoming a trend here to just include everyone who roughly belongs to the same world, because you are just all so freaking talented and it would be a shame not to mention you. a beautifully written version of robb, brought alive by a very nice and talented mun. absolutely worth a follow and so nice to have around!

@mccndancer - my sweet, sweet vesta <3 your baela is the light of my life ( and that of Elaena ) and I just adore writing with you on her. you put so much effort in bringing her to life and i love the way you portray her. baela is one of the coolest characters in the dance and you do her absolute justice <3

@nvrqn - ah, my darling! a wonderful, perfectly written rhaenys through and through. the mun has so much love and passion for her character and it shines through in everything she does. she has so many amazing verses for her and is just in general very approachable, kind and insanely creative. i love her so, so much and i am so grateful we get to write our silly little angsty verse together.

@nyratcrg - a rhaenyra that is entirely based in modern and so interesting! the mun has done an amazing job of developing her in a completely different setting than canon and fleshing her out to be a well rounded character. definitely worth a follow for all of you who thrive in modern verses as well and want to write with a lovely black queen!

Hi! Love your work! Out of curiosity, what’s your writing process behind writing a fic? I’m inspired by you to actually start writing a long chapter fic, but I’m a little intimidated by the whole planning process and actually writing it out. May I ask what’s your personal process for planning and outlining a long fic? Do you just use bullet points or use a spreadsheet? 

Also, may I ask what’s your opinion on how many words someone who wants to improve in writing should write in a day (or your personal word count goal for a day) ? Or maybe just general tips on having motivation and determination to finish a fic?

hi! thanks for asking. My door is always open for writing asks. Thanks so much for reaching out and being brave enough to ask these questions. I know that can be a little scary. Also so cool that you're working on trying to write a mulit-chapter. The first one is always so nerve-wracking.

My process is this:

I start with an idea. Sometimes it's a scene that I think would be cool, other times it's a need to see two characters talk to each other about their feelings in depth. sometimes I look at fandom tropes getting passed around a lot and then try to figure out how to do it in a way that will stand out. Peter Parker's field trip to SI was something I thought about for a long time before realizing I should do it as a hostage situation.

Anyway, so the idea spawns life and I start thinking about how it would work and then I do one of two things:

I start writing.

I plan some to see if I want to start writing.

In YSFSLWFTCA, I wrote the scene where Clint can understand chitarian as Loki is interrogating them about Thor before I did any planning. I poked at the scene a lot and eventually threw it into my junk document because I didn't think it would work. (I never delete anything. I firmly believe you can always recycle something later). A few months passed, I kept thinking about that scene so I planned out how the story was going to go and I realized I really liked it. Then I wrote chapter 1.

Sometimes I just write chapter 1 and it works perfectly and life is happy and then I plan the rest of the story.

Other times I plan the story first, sit on it, and then start writing. That was the case with And See Me. I had the entire thing planned a few days after finishing Look Closer (c l o s e r ) I just didn't start writing.

(I never plan one-shots, by the way. Those are always a fly by the seat of my pants kinda thing. Genuinely, I did not know that Peter had a bomb on him when I started writing Look Closer (c l o s e r ))

Plan is done. I know where I'm going. This is good. Often this is when I will post the first chapter. I never finish my fics before posting, much to the frustration of a lot of people, but that is something I have seen people do. I kinda just. Want comments. I love the community. That's why I've been writing on ao3 for so long.

After the first chapter is posted, I start tackling the second. And then I set a goal for myself. How often do I want to update this fic? Once a a month, twice a month? every week? I do not care? Because that sets up a writing schedule.

If I'm going to update every week, I need to drop my chapter count to about 5-7k. That means I need to hit about 1k words every day. But what usually happens is I have like two days of the week I write 5-10 pages and then I write another 5-10 pages later.

For a while, my goal has been to post every other week. Obviously, I am. Not doing that right now. (Hi, I suffer from multiple mental illnesses.) I wrote a chapter and then edited it in the span of about 10 days.

Also, may I ask what’s your opinion on how many words someone who wants to improve in writing should write in a day (or your personal word count goal for a day) ?

Um. Idk. I generally don't have a word count goal unless I'm struggling with the chapter. I do writing by time increments. I write for 1-3 hours every day usually. Sometimes that means 500 words, sometimes it's 2-4k. I hate word count goals. If you know you're going to write, I feel like it's more important to dedicate time to it rather than focus on a number. You'll stress yourself out.

I remember during 2020 whumptober, the worst writing experience of my life, i tried to write 3k every single day. I was miserable. I ended up in tears more often than not because reaching a word count felt impossible. Writing for an hour, regardless of how much you get done? That is easy. You know you're going to be there for a whole hour. It's just you and that document. If that means you get one sentence, amazing. Leave it at that.

So my advice would just be to set aside time a few days a week (doesn't have to be every day) to write for a minimum of 30 minutes. Don't focus on words. You will see progress like you won't believe because of the consistency over time, not a word count. I don't write every day. I didn't write today, in fact. It's important to take breaks so you don't burn yourself out, which is why I don't live by the write every day rule.

But if you really, really want to improve as a writer, you have to read. You need to find authors you love and figure out why you love them. What is it about their craft that is so enticing? You need to read books/fics that are top tier because they will be a master class on writing more than anything I could say would be. When you find the writer that makes you want to write, that is the author whose work you need to rip apart to figure out what they're doing that you wish you could do. (and you will be able to do it. the secret to good writing is mimicking other authors)

I read a lot and as I'm reading, I try to focus on not just what's going on, but how it's going on. What words the author is using to describe things, the sensory information we're getting, how xyz sound was described, the way emotions are written. That has improved my writing a lot.

I will say it again: Good writing is just mimicking other authors until you know what you're doing. Then you keep mimicking because that's just what authors do. we learn from each other constantly.

I would recommend trying to aim for a multi-chapter fic that is on the sorter end, like 30-40k (150-230 pages) at first. It's just a lot easier to push through that than a full 70-200k (300-600 page) monster. Once you get one done, it will be so much easier to motivate yourself to finish the next one because you already finished something.

Finding people you can talk to about it helps a lot too. I have mutuals I complain to about plot problems.

I guess for me, the relief of not having to work on something kind of becomes a primary motivator for me toward the end of a fic. I want it over so it's over. Yes, I'm really excited to share the ending, but I also just want to be done with the fic XD

Idk. Rereading the fic helps. Trying to figure out why you wanted to see it to the end. Ultimately, you want to write this. You're allowed to write this and you should. No one will write that fic the way you do, and that is the point. The excitement you feel about writing this fic will still be there in a year when you're tired and you're not sure if you want to finish it. That's why fics get finished after years of hiatus, because the author found the excitement again.

Allow yourself to be excited and silly about it. You're about to start a project that will take up a lot of time. Make a playlist, make collages, do fan art, talk about the fic on your blog, just embrace that you're working on this and you'll have so much fun. That's the important part, not finishing it. It's having fun on what you do work on. And I know that's not helpful, but try to bare that in mind.

I don't know. I don't have that much advice on motivation to finish, even though I probably should? I just don't think about it, so I don't know how I consistently plow through fics. I try to have something in every chapter that makes me go ">:)" because then I want to finish that scene and then I rinse and repeat that process for every chapter, so there's always something I want to reach.

Hopefully, this is a little helpful. Please feel free to bug me more with questions if you don't think I answered something properly, or you just have more questions. I really don't mind writing questions. I'd rather be helpful than not.

Welcome to Febuwhump! A straight month (hopefully) of me torturing my favorite characters!

I can't promise that these will be the best as they are written pretty quickly and with as little energy expended as possible. My classes, while not unreasonable, mixed with my job tend to be exhausting so this month we're going for quantity over quality.

With that out of the way, I really do hope you enjoy them! There will be a lot of dialogue because that's what I prefer to write. Each story will be it's one (not one story with every prompt) because I have a lot of mulit-parters and different fandoms. So please follow the series if you want more!

"Take that fugly!" Caleb watched as the ghost went up in flames just like Ophelia's precious murder journal now smoldering on the floor.

Caleb stood in the now silent living room, breathing heavily and stamping out the fire. The house may have been haunted and home to several murders, but it was still a beautiful building. Now that the ghost was taken care of, it was time to find out why his hunting partners had failed in their duty to keep the crazy old lady away from him.

"Deuce!" He called up the stairs, "So much for your bragging about being able to keep women entertained for hours. You couldn't even manage fifteen minutes. What kind of example are you setting for your brother?" The older hunter teased lightly.

When there was no response, Caleb frowned. "Deuce?" He started up the stairs. "Sammy?" The panic was truly beginning to set in. He called their names again, not hearing any response. Caleb moved back towards the bedrooms when he heard the pounding. It was coming from… up?

A string hung down from the ceiling, likely leading to the attic.

"Caleb?" A muffled voice called from above.

"Sammy? Stand back, I'm going to open the door!"

There was scuffeling and when Caleb was confident Sam wouldn't fall through the trapdoor, he pulled the string. It popped open and he eased the ladder down for the youngest Winchester, who hurried down.

Caleb looked up, "Where's Deuce?"

"He's not with you?" Sam paled.

"Wha- he's not with you?" Caleb parroted.

"No, I was up there looking for the journal when the door slammed shut! I couldn't get it open!"

"You were looking for the journal? I thought you were helping Dean keep the ghost away?"

"We split up," Sam answered quietly, "I said I was sick of being stuck as the bait just because I was the youngest, so Dean told me to help you."

"Deuce!" Caleb turned away without responding. "Dean answer me!" He attempted to connect with his best friend but he just got a spike of a headache that almost led to him kissing the floor. The good ghost Ophelia must have whacked him harder than he thought. Unless…

"Caleb?!" Sam managed to keep him upright. "What happened? What's wrong?!"

"I-I can't get a read on him."

"Y-you don't mean-"

"I don't- if he died, I'd feel it right? It wouldn't just be-. " Unless he was blocking it. Keeping himself from the ugly truth that his best friend was dead. No. He wouldn't believe it! "Deuce!" He started off again, ignoring the pounding in his head. "Sam, start checking the rooms." He snapped, pushing away the boy's hands. "You better not be dead you idiot!" He called out. The sudden urge to throw up hit Caleb. Dean wasn't dead. He wasn't.

"Caleb!" And the distress in Sam's voice made the older hunter stop in his tracks.

He ran back, finding Sam standing frozen in front of a shattered window. Caleb ran up beside him, following Sam's line of sight. It was Dean. Lying on the ground. Two stories down. Small pieces of glass lying around him.

"He's not moving!" Sam's voice barely registered.

Caleb wasn't exactly sure what happened or how he got there, but the next thing he knew he was kneeling beside Dean's body.

"Hey, hey, hey, Deuce, look at me, okay? Open your eyes." His hands hovered over the unmoving teen, afraid to touch and make things worse. Afraid to know.

He wasn't moving. At all. Caleb wasn't even sure if he was breathing. Finally he forced himself to lay his fingers near Dean's throat. "Come on, come on." He mumbled to himself, until finally he found a weak throbbing.

"Caleb?" Sam was standing on the other side of his brother. Hands fidgeting nervously.

"He's alive." Caleb reached in his pocket pulling out his phone. The no service sign flashed on his screen and he cursed. The house may be beautiful but its location was really inconvenient. He held the phone out to Sam. "Start running. As soon as you have service, call an ambulance." Caleb looked at the blood that was pulled under Dean's head, noticing for the first time that it was coming from his ears. His nose also offered a steady stream of blood. "Mac too." He added. "Tell him to get down here ASAP."

"I'm not-"

"If you don't go now he's going to die." Caleb said bluntly, not willing to tell Sam that even if an ambulance suddenly appeared at that moment, Dean still might not make it.

Sam hesitated only for another second before snatching the phone and taking off at a full run towards where the car was parked.

Caleb looked at his friend. He wasn't a doctor and just because he had been adopted by one didn't mean he magically knew what to do. Basic first aid? Sure. Falling out the second story window, bleeding from nose and ears while lying unconscious was not something he knew how to handle. Especially when this was Deuce.

"Come on man, don't make me explain to Johnny how I got you killed. That would really put a strain in our relationship." He kept one hand on the artery in his neck, using the other gently probe at Dean's skull. He didn't feel any swelling which was actually the worse thing he could imagine. If he had some sort of bump there would be less of a chance of severe brain damage. Which Dean definitely didn't have. Even though he was bleeding from his ears and nose. That wasn't a sign of a hematoma. Sure last time it had been a sign of, what has his dad called it? Cushing's Triad? But he had ended up fine then and he would be fine now.

Except then Dean was awake and this time he isn't even responsive.

"Deuce!" Caleb shouted, "Wake up!" He ran a hand over Dean's sternum.

There was a gasp. Caleb watched as Dean's eyes fluttered, then finally opened.

"There you go, there you are." Caleb thought he might start crying; he was overcome with such relief. He knew they weren't out of the woods yet but at least for the moment Dean was awake. "Hate to admit it, but you had me scared, Deuce."

Dean didn't respond, staring straight up at the sky.

"Deuce?" He cupped his friend's cheek when he got no response. "You with me?"

The boy's eyes slowly met his older friend. A look of confusion passing over clouded green eyes. "Damian?"

"Yeah, yeah it's me. You're okay."

"Where-"

"Ophelia, remember? The woman/ghost who used to throw men out the window? We really should have seen this coming." He really should have and he'd never forgive himself for not connecting those dots before now.

"Caleb?"

"I'm right here, Deuce." He took Dean's hand in his own and squeezed it. "Can you squeeze it back for me?"

Dean had yet to move anything but his eyes and mouth.

"Caleb?"

He forced a chuckle, "Hey you're scaring me here, kid."

"I don't-" Dean squinted up at Caleb, moving his head slightly. Caleb was relieved to see any movement at all as Dean still hadn't answered his request to squeeze his hand. "What happened?"

"You got tossed out the window."

"Window?"

"Yeah. By the ghost, remember?"

"No? I thought-" Dean let out a shuddering breath, his eyes sliding closed.

"Hey- hey no sleeping on the job, Winchester." Caleb tapped his face. "What would good old Johnny say?"

It looked difficult but Dean managed to blink his eyes open. "Damian?"

Caleb was really beginning to panic. This was… really really bad.

"Yeah kiddo, it's me. Keep your eyes open yeah?"

"Where- where's Sammy?"

"He's okay," Caleb was relieved that Dean still thought like Dean at least. "He went to call for help."

"Help? Why?"

"For you, Ms. Drama Queen. Always having to garner all the attention."

"Jim?"

Caleb frowned, "Jim's not here Dean."

"Why not?"

"We haven't been to the Farm in weeks, man. We'll call Jim later, okay?"

"No- we-we were at the Farm, right? I thought-"

"No, we're at Ophelia's house, remember? Tennessee?"

"No- I-I fell in Jim's barn? A-apples?"

Caleb suddenly remembered when Dean was sixteen and had fallen from Jim's barn loft. There had been no serious side effects to everyone's shock. It was a pleasant surprise but nearly unheard of.

"Dude that was like three years ago."

"No it was- Damian my head hurts."

"I know Deuce, but you're going to be okay. Just hold on a little longer, okay?"

"Kay." Dean mumbled, eyes slowly falling shut.

"Nope. Hanging on means keeping your eyes open for me."

"But my head hurts."

"It's gonna hurt worse if you keep making me slap you awake."

"Then don't." Dean mumbled. Caleb's lips turned upward at that.

"Then don't fall asleep."

Dean grunted but kept his eyes open.

"Damian?"

The smile dropped. "Still me Dean."

"Where's Sammy?"

"He went to call for help, remember?"

Dean's eyes widened and for the first time, Dean initiated movement and squeezed Caleb's hand. "By himself!?"

"He'll be okay, Deuce. He's not a kid anymore."

"He's not?"

Caleb sighed, "No, Dean."

"But he's okay."

"Yes, he's okay."

"Why are you holding my hand?"

"Because you're acting like a girl."

"Mmmm." Dean hummed, eyes sliding closed.

"Hey!"

"Right, right." Dean mumbled, "No sleeping."

"That's right. Look at that, you're actually listening to me for once!"

"Why am I on the ground?"

"Because you fell through the window."

"Oh."

"And now we're going to stay awake until the ambulance gets here, right?"

"An ambulance?! Come on Caleb, I'm fine. I just-"

Dean's face drained of the little color it had left.

"Damian-" He whispered on a breath.

"Hey, hey I'm right here." Caleb reached his other hand up and touched Dean's abnormally cool cheek. "You're okay."

"I-I can't feel them."

The fear pouring off of the teen made Caleb's heart rate speed up. "Can't feel what, Deuce?"

"My- my legs. I-I can't, I can't feel them."

"Hey, hey slow down. Just breathe man. Freaking out isn't going to help anything."

"But I can't-"

"It's going to be okay. You're just in shock." But Caleb suspected that it wasn't he hadn never lied to Dean. And this wasn't a lie. It wasn't a lie. It wasn't. Dean would be fine.

"Damian!" The fear in his eyes and the way he was gripping Caleb's hand nearly broke the older hunter. His panic grew when Dean started hyperventilating.

"Deuce! Deuce! Listen to me, listen. Your brain's all messed up right now. You can't tell now from years ago. You've got a brain bleed at the very least. It could be nothing. It could just be some good ol' fashion brain swelling temporarily shutting out your nervous system. You're fine. Don't freak out. Just focus on staying alive, okay?! Stay alive and we can get past anything else, okay!?" Caleb hadn't realized his voice growing louder and more frantic.

Dean blinked at him. Once. Twice. "Damian?"

Caleb let out a half sob. "It's me Deuce."

"My head hurts."

Caleb closed his eyes to keep from letting the tears come. He took a shuddering breath. "I know, Deuce." His voice wavered. "I know."

There was silence as Caleb tried to regain control of his emotions. Dean laid unmoving, eyes open but not seeing anything.

"But what if it doesn't get fixed. What if I never walk again." It was said quietly. This would be the only thing that Dean's screwed up head latched on to.

"It won't happen." Caleb said with far more confidence than he felt.

Dean finally turned his head to look at his friend. This was the first time since he regained consciousness that his eyes were clear. "But what if it doesn't?"

"This would be the time your head clears up." Caleb sighed.

Dean smiled slightly, "I like to make things difficult."

"Yes you do, remember that time-"

"Damian." The older man's mouth snapped shut. "What if it doesn't." And there was real fear in the boy's eyes. And Caleb realized what he was asking. If this was permanent, would Caleb still love Dean?

"It won't change anything, Deuce. I'd stand with you the whole way."

"Even if I couldn't hunt?"

"It doesn't matter, Deuce. Nothing could change the way I feel about you."

"That's good," Dean's eyes started to slip closed.

"Hey, hey, no sleeping, remember? It's rude to pass out in the middle of a chick flick moment."

"Dad won't feel the same way."

"What?"

"If I can't hunt or take care of Sammy."

"Don't say that. Your dad loves you." But Caleb knew it was probably true.

Dean's eyelids were drooping again and he blinked rapidly. "Just like you." He smirked tiredly.

"Hey don't put words in my mouth, Deuce."

"It's okay. Even if I'm not to Dad. It's okay."

"Not what? Dean? Hey, look at me."

Sluggish eyes met his. "At least I'm real to you."

"Deuce?" Caleb noticed Dean's grip slackening in his hand. "Nope. You stay right here with me, okay? You said you'd stay and you never lie to me."

"Tell that to Jim, okay? Tell him you made me real."

Was Dean having some sort of dissociative episode? Was this part of the head wound or something else? "Stay with me, man." He could hear the sirens in the distance. "You hear that? They're almost here. Sammy's gonna bring them right to us. Just stay with me a little longer."

"'M sorry. It's better this way."

"No! Come on Deuce. Dean? Don't do this to me!"

He glanced back towards the road, hoping to catch a glimpse of the emergency vehicles.

"It'll be okay. It's better this way." He repeated, his words slurring.

"Dean Matthew Winchester don't you dare-"

"'M sorry." Came the whisper before Dean went completely slack in his arms.

"Deuce?! Deuce!" He slapped at his face, not getting a response.

Dean's breathing was shallower, pulse threadier, and he was showing no signs of regaining consciousness.

"Come on man, please, please don't do this." His voice cracked and he lost his battle to keep the tears away.

Elaboration Points

* - I can do intensive plotting, but I prefer to remain flexible, so any plotting done, be it in depth or just quick overview, is never set in stone. My characters have minds of their own and sometimes they don’t stick to the plan. I find that the quality of my writing is better when I just go with the flow of things and don’t get too invested in making things work just perfectly. It’s also more fun for me when there is some spontaneity in role playing. I am a pantser (write things by the seat of my pants) at heart and that has always worked best for me and been where I thrive. That doesn’t mean I’m against plotting, just know that I consider plotting to be bouncing around potential ideas, not planning out every perfect detail. 

* - One liners are harder for me because I tend to get wordy and like to elaborate. I still have fun with them sometimes if it’s just a quick little fun thing, but for more serious threads, I need more meat to the writing. 

* - I have a thread tracker but sometimes things still get lost. It doesn’t happen often, but I can’t keep it from happening every now and then. I will never drop a thread without telling you, so if it’s been a hot minute since I’ve replied, just remind me (maybe send a link if I need it) and I will get to it. 

* - I try to do at least some replies every day. It doesn’t always happen, but I do try.

* - Sometimes I can get to a reply pretty quickly if I’m on a roll, not always tho. This is luck of the draw. 

* - Just because I see the chemistry right away doesn’t mean I like the characters to see it just as fast. I like some build up to make it realistic and find that falling in love instantly tends to just be puppy love or crushes, it’s not actual romance and it’s a bit childish in my opinion, to be perfectly honest. Give me at least a little bit of time for my muse(s) to get comfortable with yours.

* - That being said, sometimes the chemistry is just really strong and happens fast. If circumstances are right, I might just go for it head first if it happens naturally. This is entirely dependent on how our muses get along tho.

* - I love cute ship fluff and smutt and will definitely RP a lot of it, but that’s not the whole point and it’s not my only focus. I also really love other sorts of relationship dynamics, including friends, family, and even enemies. 

* - Sinday asks are open to anyone, but writing out actual smut in threads is something I have to be comfortable with both my writing partner and the ship. It’s difficult for me to just throw my muse(s) into porn without plot. I like a pre-established relationship first and some context.

* - Smut is actually something I am very new to writing. I’ve been told I’m fairly decent at it, but I’m still learning my style with writing sexually explicit content. I’ve been trying to write more of it lately just to help me with developing those skills, but again, it is not the main focus of my RP blogs. I’m not against it, but it is by no means a requirement. 

* - Honestly, there is no schedule. I just write whenever I have the time and motivation for it. Often times I end up replying to threads when it’s super late at night or early in the morning before dawn, but really, who knows when I’ll be around.

* - A lot of the time I only lurk. I try to get on tumblr every day, but sometimes my activity is just liking things other people have posted. My mental health doesn’t always allow me to do more than that in a day, but I do try my best to post at least something every day, even if it’s small and useless.

* - Still getting the hang of open starters and don’t have time to make very many. But I’m always open for RP meme starters, both sending and receiving. And I am slowly working on getting more open starters written.

Changes to Profile

If you did not know, I had changed a few things over the last few months. As the new year is starting, I will completely change the things I write.

As previously said, this blog is ONLY ships (m|m, w|w, and of my OCs created with my wife and Gracie INCLUDING the new OC I’ve created that will be introduced within the next few weeks). Also if you may or may not know, not only do I write SVU, but bc I’ve been watching Mayans, I DO write for them, as well.

My sideblog will be for READER INSERTS. The blog for that is @hedgehogfics (my sideblog will be fill weird some random stories here and there I’ve made and is mulit-fandom)

If you do not specify what ship you want with a character/just send me a prompt or idea with a character, I will fill it with whoever I want.

I am a grown adult. I work and spend my spare time playing video games. So I don’t always get requests or prompts out in… any kind of timeframe. I could get it out within hours of you sending it or days. Please be patient.
