listen i have a cure for the endless disney remakes and prequels. im watching an abysmal cgi live action trailer for a prequel to their shitty lion king. i have a fix. you ready for this. if you simply must do remakes and prequels. stop trying to work off of more recent movies. no one fucking cares about mufasa's backstory when you're working backwards from your prior movie that is a shitty remake of another, better movie. stop. hit the brakes. press the clutch and shift into reverse. gun it back until the engine is screeching. stop. you should now have arrived sometime in 1599 to 1601 at the opening premiere of shakespeare's hamlet. what you are going to do is watch it. you're gonna take notes. and you're going to take any and all themes that you enjoyed from the story and set them aside. you're gonna come back to modern times and read and watch whatever the hell else you want/enjoy and think about what you liked from that too. and then! you're going to make up your own characters. you're gonna make your own fucking story. you can take the stuff you liked from other stories but youre gonna gonna make something new. do you understand. can you hear me
