Summary: You arrive in New Asgard to its citizens rebuilding from the wreckage brought on by the god butcher's attack
Pairing: Loki x Sorceress!Reader
Word Count: 2.4k
Warning/s: language (like 2 cuss words…still not sorry, Rogers); canon-divergent up the damn wazoo; mentions of major character deaths; mention of injuries; allusions to cancer; my still rusty af writing [let me know if i missed anything!]
Things to be aware of: assumed unrequited love; Reader is a magic-wielding Avenger that trained in Kamar Taj after the events of Endgame
Tumblr media
It had been a while since you went to visit the town that was once known as Tonsberg, but even when Thor in his tragedy-driven downward spiral and Val were surrounded by wood and bricks and cobblestone still waiting to be put together and turned into a new home for the thousands of now homeless Asgardians, it didn't look this…desolate.
Charred wooden planks were dumped onto the middle of the street along with other torn and shredded belongings from the affected homes. The citizens, their soot-covered faces a mix of distraught and exhausted, gave you barely a passing glance even as they clocked your clean clothes, bag slung over your shoulder.
From what stories Thor and Loki shared before, Asgardians were notorious gossips. They seemed to always find a way to whisper amongst themselves when something intrigued them even in the slightest, no matter the circumstance.
Almost always, it seemed, as today felt like the exception to that rule. Their gazes were fixed to the ground, the eerie quiet buzzing of the town comprised of sniffles and shaky breaths. Sounds you were achingly familiar with, hearing them all around you when half the world turned to dust just over half a decade ago.
Sounds of people frantically trying to get hold of their families on the phone, bracing and fearing for the worst.
"Y/N?" Val's voice pierced through the quiet, all heads turning toward her and the whispering intrigue finally starting amongst the villagers.
Our King knows this stranger, they said. You paid them no mind as you walked toward her and let the warrior king pull you into an embrace. When her wince at the contact hit your ears, you grasped at her shoulders, looking her over frantically.
"What happened?"
"You know how it is, my friend. Stab wound, kidney puncture, same old song and --"
"Stab wound?!" you raised your voice to a near shriek, even more panicked over her nonchalant delivery. "Val, what. Happened."
"God killer," she sighed. "Well, he prefers to call himself a god butcher, wields the Necrosword hellbent on making sure that the gods no longer walk this or any other realm." She motioned toward the distraught citizens. "He took the children to lure Thor to him because he needed to summon the Bifrost. Poor oaf's there now all alone trying to rescue them."
"Wait where's there?"
"Thor has gone to the Gates of Eternity. The Bifrost is the key to unlock them and if he does, well…" She sliced her finger along her throat. "Goodbye, gods. Much as I wish to be there to aid him, he's quite determined to have me and Jane rest."
"Hold on, Jane's here? Where is she?"
Val pointed towards the hospital, already walking towards it. "We've much to catch up on, little witchy." Just as she looped her arm through yours, there was a loud bang that came from the hospital, and you saw a blonde woman dressed like Thor flying up into the sky on the back of Warsong with Mjolnir in hand. "Oh no…"
"Is that--?"
"Jane? Yes." Your heart caught in your throat as you saw the tears forming in the warrior's eyes as she told you of Jane's diagnosis. How Mjolnir grants her health and vitality when she wields the hammer, but at the cost of her mortality. "She's gone to fight alongside Thor. Quite certainly to die in battle, too."
Every thought in your head screamed the same thing. "I have to stop her. I've gotta get to Eternity."
After reassuring her that you had sufficient enough means and magic to find your way, Val told you where to find the gates.
At the center of the universe, she said. But that it might be a more accurate shot for the sling ring you had on hand if you focused on Thor instead.
Right before you began to conjure the portal to bring you to your friend, the weakened warrior held your forearm firmly. Desperately. "Please don't die," she pled faintly, already misty eyed just saying the words. "Beat Gorr to Eternity, and keep him from making his wish."
Stepping through the circular glowing portal brought you to an elaborate temple made of what seemed like some celestial-grade stone. The entire place was aglow with lightning striking from multiple places at once, and in front of you was Stormbreaker summoning the Bifrost, seeming to power up a portal to what you could only guess was the Eternity that Val mentioned.
A visibly weakened Jane summoned a lightning strike that hit Gorr's weapon dead on, crumbling what remained of the sword into dust right before she began to collapse to the ground. You took the god butcher's slow triumphant walk to the gate as your cue.
"And who might you be?" he said, pausing to look you head to toe, assessing your power. "You are no god, but you're not entirely mortal, either."
"Hello, Gorr," you said with a sly grin, grabbing a hold of him and throwing him yards away from the gate with your magic. "Goodbye, Gorr."
"Y/N?" you heard Thor weakly mumble your name, relieved when he saw you walking backwards toward the blindingly glowing archway that opened up.
The last thing you heard before you all were transported to a vast white expanse was Gorr's defeated outcry of "Noooo!"
"Make your wish, sorceress," a voice spoke in your mind. When you turned to face the source, all you saw was a skyscraper of a silhouette…consisting of an endless sea of galaxies and stars. "Whatever you desire can and shall be so. Name it. And it shall be yours."
Those words brought you to your knees, the gravity of your situation weighing down on you like a cartoon anvil just dead dropped onto your shoulders. Agonizing memories of the loss and heartache you'd experienced and witnessed in the last few years alone, all the grief you kept bottled up inside, coming at you all at once.
From coming back to the Compound after the Time Heist, only to discover that you were all one Avenger short. Finding out that Nat sacrificed herself so the rest of you could have the Soul Stone.
To the loss of Tony and having to be there to hold Morgan as she cried and thrashed, calling out for her father after the defeat of Thanos and his army. And the loss of Steve shortly after that, realizing the super soldier chose to stay in the past and resume what he believed should have been his life with Peggy Carter. Then Bucky's subsequent pulling away from the team after that.
Losing Wanda, and the look on her face when you stood against her during the fight at Kamar Taj. Only hearing about it in the hours following the wreckage of the temple, and Wong's return, that your friend had perished by her own hand in Wundagore. That in her final moments, she was all alone, believing that this was the only way to ensure the safety of this and all other universes from the dark magic she held.
And then there was the loss that started it all for you, the one that had you slowly but steadily pulling away since the fight at Wakanda. Loki. Seeing his brother come in to the battlefield fueled by rage, and hearing his voice devoid of any strength as he told you about the god of mischief's fate when Thanos seized their ship to relieve them of the Tesseract.
All those words that you held back on saying for fear of having them thrown back in your face with a derisive laugh…they felt like lead in the back of your throat as soon as Thor had told you the news. And you beat yourself up for being so scared and childish to hide it all away like a schoolgirl with a crush. The loss of him, even though he wasn't yours to lose, numbed you. And you swore to never love again.
Love only ever got you hurt.
But looking back at the blond Asgardian, holding the frail body of his love in his arms…you knew that he wouldn't survive if he had to suffer another great loss. If he had to lose Jane. You knew that there were people that you cared about back on Earth that were still grieving and picking up the pieces of their lives.
And you had the opportunity to relieve them of that grief. To spare them the numbness that that same loss had dealt you.
"Look in my heart," you whispered to the entity. "You know what I want."
"It shall be yours, sorceress. Live well," were the last words you heard before Jane's sharp inhale. Like her lungs were near empty and she was gulping in air.
When you looked back at them, she'd visibly regained color, near identical smiles of wonder and relief on her and Thor's faces. Even from this far away, you could sense it. Whatever sickness plagued her body was gone. Every trace of it.
"You--?" Thor asked, pointing a finger toward you as you approached them.
"Guess so," you answered him with a little shrug. "How you feeling, Doctor Foster?"
"Like I could wrestle a horse," she told you with a big grin. "Thank you."
Before you could conjure up another portal to bring you all home, more voices emerged from behind the entity.
"Y/N?"
"Sparky?"
"Lady Y/N?"
Natasha. Tony. Heimdall.
"My friend, what did you wish for?"
You looked back at the bewildered god, grasping his best friend's shoulders and trying to adjust to the new reality that he had returned. "I honestly don't know, I just said that Eternity should know what I want and--"
"Brother?"
The air left your lungs at the sound of the new voice. The voice you'd missed hearing for the better part of the last decade. Your heart beat erratically in your chest watching Loki emerge from behind Eternity and walk toward all of you, already holding his hands up in caution upon seeing Nat and Tony. "I swear I have no intention of harming--"
"We know, Reindeer Games," Stark said, holding his hand out toward the god. "Thor told us all about what you did. You're alright by my book as long as you don't try and raise another ugly ass alien army to take over the world."
Before he could say anything in return, Thor pulled his brother into a tight embrace. "It's good to see you, too, Brother," he said in a strained voice. "But how am I here?"
"Y/N reached Eternity. And she made a wish," Jane answered him, also holding her hands up. "No slaps this time, I promise."
"Y/N?" he said your name breathlessly, nudging his brother out of the way and looking around until his eyes met yours. You did your best not to fidget or pick at your clothes as he made his way over to you, trying to swallow down the lump in your throat when he framed your face with his hands.
"Hiya, Mischief," you mumbled, seeing Tony and Nat give each other a look from the corner of your eye as they slowly backed away, choosing instead to reunite and get up to speed with the other Asgardian.
"This was your doing?" The way his thumbs stroked at your cheeks had you unable to form words, only managing a meek little nod.
"Not bad for a stupid little--" The rest of your words died in a squeak at the back of your throat, cut off by the god pressing his lips to yours.
"Sweet precious mortal," he sighed against your lips. "There are many words I could use to describe you, and 'stupid' will never be one of them."
Before he could kiss you again, you heard multiple people clear their throats, your friends looking at the two of you with knowing and teasing smirks. "Perhaps we should make our way home first, Brother?"
Loki brushed the tip of his nose against yours before threading his fingers between yours, jutting his chin at the lightning bolt in his brother's hand. "Zeus?"
"Long story," he answered simply.
"He stabbed Zeus and stole it," Jane said in a stage whisper.
"Perhaps not such a long story after all," Thor said, chuckling as he held on to his girlfriend's hand, the astrophysicist summoning Mjolnir with her other hand.
"That's a long story even I don't know yet," you told Loki when he squeezed your hand lightly and tilted his head at the couple, Jane now sporting that near-identical armor and crimson cape that the blond god wore.
"Everybody hold on," Thor called out to you all, a large ball made of yellow lightning materializing all around you and spinning at a furiously fast pace. You blinked once, and when you opened your eyes again, you were in the same ruins of New Asgard that you walked through just earlier today.
Val was already there walking toward you all with a relieved look on her face that morphed into confusion when she saw Tony…and then Loki. "I take it Y/N beat the butcher to Eternity?" You all just nodded at her. "Well then, welcome back, all of you." Then she pulled Jane into a hug, playfully pushing Thor away. "I'm so glad you're alive." The king looked up, eyes meeting yours before she mouthing the words, 'Thank you.'
"We were lucky Y/N got there when she did," Thor told her. "What did bring you to New Asgard, my friend? It has been ages since last we spoke."
"I lost Wanda," you sighed, a lump forming in your throat again just saying the words. "And losing her made me realize I've been a shit friend to--well, everyone. Ever since…" You caught yourself before the rest of that sentence came out.
Ever since you told me Loki died, you finished quietly in your mind.
"Ever since Wakanda…the snap…" you told them out loud. You tried to shrug it all off, only to realize that Loki still held your hand in his. "Speaking of that stupid purple ballsacked chin little bitch…I should be getting you two back to New York," you addressed Tony and Nat. "There's at least three people whose worlds are about to turn for the better knowing you're back."

A/N: Okay so I fully intended to lay low and take my time normalizing after the complete insanity that October dealt me on a personal level, but then I rewatched Love and Thunder because I was in need of a comfort watch and I said "I don't like that ending, not one bit…lemme fix it". And slowly but surely the writer brain started its lil awkward shuffle back into the chat 😅
RTC and 'the final Lady Sharpe' are still at the top of the todo pile, and I'm still scared to touch them but I might work at it bit by bit, we'll see. And also this will have a part 2…because yes they might have kissed and they're holding hands but dammit they need to talk 🫠

I hope this doesn't disappoint!

You’re not even dozing when the sheets rumple and the mattress dips beneath you. The familiar scent immediately envelops you - cedarwood, mint, and something subtly sweet.
Loki.
You stir beneath the covers, turning over in your cotton cocoon to reach for him. It’s been too long since you touched him, an entire week, and it’s bliss to feel him firm and solid and safe beneath your fingertips.
“Missed you,” you murmur quickly against his lips, not wanting to waste a second on words; they aren’t needed, you just need him.
“And I you, treasure of my heart,” Loki replies, claiming your lips in a kiss so passionate that you feel dizzy.
You melt back into the mess of pillows and bedclothes, sighing contentedly when Loki follows. His thumbs are tracing circles on your outer thighs, but slowly his hands slide over your hips to grip your waist, and he’s toying with the waistband of your sleep shorts.
It’s enough for you to know he’s asking for your permission - permission he’ll have as long as the sun keeps spinning- and you answer with a roll of your hips against his.
The shorts are tossed to the side in a flurry of limbs and desperate kisses, followed quickly by your shirt and, in a gentle flash of green seidr, Loki’s battle leather. Your hands find their home on his back instantly, running longingly over the ripples of muscles that flexed with each minute movement.
Your lover.
Your prince.
Your god.
“You’re so beautiful,” you breath out against his mouth, letting your eyes flutter open to lock with his.
Green irises glitter at you even in the half darkness of the room, and he answers by leaning down to give a sharp nip to the sensitive skin of your neck. “Flattery will get you everywhere.”
Whatever teasing reply was half forming on your tongue is lost when you feel Loki begin to ease himself into you, inch by beautiful inch until you can take no more of him, until his body is pressed firmly against yours. He releases a shuddering breath when he's fully seated inside you, and the groan that floats from your own lips is sinful enough that you can feel his cock twitch inside you.
How is he yours?
“Every night I dreamed of this perfect little cunt,” he rasps in your ear, his movements tortuously slow. You want rough and eager, you want him to fuck you so hard that words become impossible.
But he doesn’t. He’s slow and gentle and teasing. Doing nothing more than grinding into your cunt as if he plans to drag this out all night. You can feel every ever ridge and vein pull against your walls and you inhale every time he pulls out - expecting his resolve to finally break.
But it doesn't, and he fills you up again just as slowly as before.
It’s infuriating. It’s intoxicating.
It doesn’t take look until you’re arching into him, your soft whines of protest earning another nip of his teeth to your neck. “Loki…please. I need more. Please.”
He licks a light stripe along the column of your neck and finishes with a sharp bite to your ear lobe. “You’ll take what I give you, sweet girl,” he taunts with another agonisingly slow thrust. “And I plan to savour this for hours.”

I have a big request!!!!!!!!
It's just that y/n lost her parents at an early age and lives with her uncle, Tony Stark. She is like him smart and sarcastic. When, Loki came to stay at the Stark Tower as an Avenger both of them starting off the wrong foot. Slowly, they became friends and had feelings for eachother which they didn't confessed. Peter being the bff of y/n sets both of them up with a lil bit of smut at end??
P.S: In my thoughts, y/n and Peter are of same age, both are 21. Also, I am very sorry for a lengthy ask.
Seven PM Sharp (Loki x fem! Reader Oneshot)
Tumblr media
Summary: A sudden dinner "for the Avengers" changes everything about the relationship between you and a certain mischievous god...
Word Count: 3K
Warnings: SMUT AT THE END! (public sex, restraints, spanking, possessiveness kink, bit of dom! Loki, doggy style, on the rougher end), loss of parents (YN is adopted by Tony) and Loki accidentally being a jerk and being a jealous whore too. Grammar and spelling mistakes.
Dick-tionary (thanks @muddyorbsblr for the term): Smut starts at "At once you got on his lap, straddling him." and ends at "His magic got rid of the embarrassing mess.."
A/N:Hello there nonny! Sorry this took such a while! My life went wild and my monkey brain got distracted by other projects. But here it is! I really wanted to get this done for you. Went overboard with the smut, but blame my Demon Thirsty Whore Brain with the images of Behind the Scenes of Loki that popped out. Oops. I hope you enjoy!

“Your uncle is a useless fool,” Loki snarled at you as he walked around.
What. The. Actual. Fuck you thought. You had never met this guy before- you met gods. Like Thor- sweetheart he was. This, his brother… was a different case. You knew your uncle was an Avenger- and you’d be circled about them but this…this took the cake.
You gasped, folding your arms. No- Loki was under watch since causing trouble possessed by the mind stone. He wasn’t going to…use his powers to turn you into a pile of dust or whatever. And you were not going to have Uncle Tony’s name slandered, not when he loved you, took care of you, and did so much for you.
“That’s the first thing you’re ever going to say to me? You don’t even know my name!” you huffed back. You tried to square him up though he was tall and broad.
“I do not bother with names of mere mortals. Midgardians are the least interesting to me,” he said.
“Whatever. Just stay away from me- and don’t shit talk my uncle or his inventions.”
“I will speak how I wish.”
“Listen - I know you don’t give a shit but my name is YN Stark. I’m not some nameless figure you can push around. I wasn’t always a Stark- -why? Why?!”
You got up to his face, his eyes still unperturbed.
“I had nothing! I came from nothing at all! My family fucking died! Everyone runs back to their family every Christmas and Birthday and holiday- but me? None! I had to be alone, scraping for myself! No one around me-no one to keep me safe! No one to even love me! I had nothing until Uncle Tony came in…” there were tears in your eyes.
You took a breath and continued, Loki’s face was frozen, but he still listened.
“I don’t give a shit if he was the CEO of Stark Enterprises or the janitor- he welcomed me to his home. He’s like a dad to me- the only one I got left. So you can keep talking your shit- just not to me!” you cried.
You hurried out before he could make a reply.
You couldn’t help but hold onto your grudge. Every time he appeared, you turned away. Ignoring him. Giving him the cold shoulder. Ignoring him in the rudest, snobbiest way. He deserved it. No wonder if his baritone voice you could never stop listening to. Your ears perking over whenever he spoke like a cat. But your eyes forward.
There were a few times he would lock eyes with you. And then he would smirk. You would huff and turn right away.
“Ugh…asshole,” you muttered. Stupid, beautiful asshole with a great ass.
It continued perhaps for a couple of weeks. Then…one day he caught you alone. You tried to, wanted to, everything urged in you to back off…but your feet stayed put.
“Hello there I…I have…thought about what you said and…”
“And what? Plan to throw my uncle off a building? Again?” you asked.
“No I…I’m sorry. For what I said,” he replied.
You paused. Looking at him.
“Oh…okay…what made you change your mind?” you asked. You folded your arms.
“You see- I am adopted too.”
“What do you mean?” you asked.
With a slight whiff of magic, briefly, his appearance changed. His skin was blue and his eyes red. You dropped your jaw.
“Turns out, I’m a Frost Giant. Or…part Frost Giant at least. I was just a baby- found abandoned in the snow. Then adopted and brought to Asgard to be raised under the name of Odinson and not Laufeyson.
“Why…what?! Oh…oh god, when did you find out?”
“The hard way.”
“That…that does sound miserable…I’m sorry for being harsh.”
“Don’t be.”
You began to talk more. About the birth family you lost forever, wondered about. Each time it happened, you learned more about each other. He learned some about Tony and you- like what flavor of cake your uncle would try to make on your birthday. He would tell you about turning into a snake as a child to trick Thor.
Uncle Tony would keep a careful eye on him. He gave you a few warnings, and you promised him to tread with caution.
So you trod with caution for months. Then a year.

“My brother is dangerous and impulsive- he endangered his kingdom. Why would you even agree to go with him on a date?” Loki cried.
You just got back to the compound. He looked down at your clothes- causal plaid and jeans. Probably not first-date wear. The place wasn’t a fancy restaurant- just a bar and grill.
“It wasn’t a date! We were hanging out!  It was just out to a restaurant to enjoy happy hour and eat mozzarella sticks! He needed his own tray of them as he was wolfing them down like candy!” you explained.
“He will try and charm you! But you know his type and what they do! That’s what he is- he gets everything he wants on a silver platter. And when you tell him no, he’ll…he’ll…”
“What Silvertongue? What will he do?” you asked.
Loki huffed, then began to pace away.
“Nothing happened. He just wanted company. A friend. Thor keeps talking about how much he misses this woman named Jane. He’s too madly in love with her. You can practically see the heart eyes on him every time she’s brought up!”
Loki paused. How beautiful he looked. The shine of the moon radiates from the window. Making his ivory skin have a silver glow. His eyes soft. He took a large but graceful hand and ruffled it through his own curls.
“I’m. Not. Dating him. And how could I take Jane’s man away from her? It’s like when me and Peter go see movies- or when you or I go see movies! It’s fine!”
“Alright. I was just…just worried, was all. I wanted you safe.”
“You thought I would be unsafe with Thor? Thor’s just a big teddy bear!”
“When you date I just…I just want you protected…” he said.
“You know…thank you. It is scary to be on a date. Things have happened. To women on dates. But…I’m an adult. You can worry about me some. But I can take care of myself too,” you replied.
“Yes…yes you can,” Loki agreed.
With that, he vanished away in a sliver of magic.

“Absolutely not” was your response.
“Come on, YN! It will be fun!” Peter replied, nudging close to you. He sat next to you on the couch. The TV show you were both watching droned on.
“Fun?!? Fun!?! What about going to a fancy dinner with the Avengers sounds fun! Besides- what if I use the wrong fork or knock something over? I know these events, but this…this is something else,” you replied.
“Please, YN! You are invited too!” Peter insisted.
“Well…I may have to go shopping for the right dress,” you sighed. Peter grinned at you.
“Don’t worry- all the men will be in suits. And your Uncles paying for everything.”
“He always paid everything for me,” you replied. “Okay, you know….fine, I’ll go.”
“Awesome!” Peter cried, high-fiving you.
You watched a few more minutes and then Peter excused himself to go to the bathroom.
Little did you know, that Thor knocked on the door to Loki’s room several floors down in the compound. The god of mischief opened and cocked a dark eyebrow.
“Brother! There is going to be a dinner and you must come! It shall be at a tavern- but it is like a palace! Very exquisite! You must come!” he invited, waving a hand.
Loki smirked, folding his arms
“Finally! For all the world saving none of the Avengers truly know the finer things in life. I would like to eat something that isn’t frozen and from a bag. ” he replied.
Thor folded his hands.
“I knew you would like it! And everyone is dressing up! We all know your style!”
“These so-called sweatpants they all wear all the time become old and reek of their personal smells. Do they even know of any basics of dressing? Fine then- reserve me a spot. You know I have plenty to wear. No one will dare call me the sloppy one of us both,” he continued.
Thor nodded his head. His lips smiling but tight. Then Loki used his magic to close the door and he returned to reading his book.
As Thor and Peter passed in the halls, they exchanged nods and high-fives.

You arrived in a dress- it had a slight dip to it but had a flowy skirt that went to your knees and a heart-shaped neckline with a pearl necklace. You had them take your coats and go to the table.
It was odd- you didn’t see anyone here. Not Wanda. Steve. Nat. Uncle Tony. Thor. Peter. Clint. Not even Bruce discussing something science-y with whoever sat next to him.
You approached the hostess.
“Hello- I am here for the table marked for The Avengers,” you said.
She nodded and led you to a table. It was notably small. Only three other chairs.
Perhaps it was a more intimate event. Just you and Peter and Uncle Tony and maybe someone else- maybe Thor.
No one was there. You sat there alone, placing the cloth napkin on your lap. Fidgeting nervously and staring at where everyone sat. Not one recognizable face among the soft chatter and sound of wines being poured.
Loki arrived wearing one of his nicer suits and a long coat. His hair was washed today (his brother talked him into it). He looked at the restaurant. He was correct- It was the Le Sait. The street was the correct one. Walking with a swagger, he went up the steps inside the restaurant with its bright yellow glow inside.
“Hello there my dear- the table for the Avengers, please,” he crooned out.
The hostess led him over to the table…
The person who showed up was Loki.
It struck you. You were in nice clothes. In a nice restaurant. Alone was Loki.
You both stood up. You felt so hot you could have burned or melted your own self into a puddle. Loki’s eyes went down to your neckline and then politely back up.
“You!” you gasped out.
“You!” he repeated with a slight jump.
Then you both relaxed and burst into laughter.
“Why Loki! It’s you!”
“Yes, it is! Well…”
“Come on…sit down…let’s just eat some dinner, I’m starved….”
“Yes, I agree…”
It then hit you-no one else showed up.
“Where is everyone?”
“I’m not sure but…let’s just…just enjoy it. Enjoy the place and being together.”
You both laughed and talked so much you didn’t realize it was nearly empty. Only you guys here. Recalling every memory you had. First happy ones, the ones that could make one laugh so hard your stomach hurt. Then…about the day you met.
“I said those offensive things back then. Because the truth was I was the fool…do you forgive me?”
“I already have.”
“I need to know every day. It always is my greatest shame. What keeps me awake at night. I said those things back then because I didn’t know you. In a way, I wanted to prove myself. Make myself big, strong-I kept getting into those habits. Tried to scoff at Stark to feel better about myself…But then you spoke. You challenged me. I never heard of him doing that- of taking you in. And it wasn’t to tear me down or to make me less. But to challenge me to be better, do better. And the way you fought back instead of lying there…it impressed me.”
It was quiet now, still. People had left. It seemed not even the waiters were around. But you didn’t mind.
“With you, I feel less alone. I feel seen. I’m not perfect. It’s odd for a god, but I have…I have so many faults. Yet you see me and choose me anyway. And with you…I want to try to improve those faults,” Loki replied.
Your eyes brimmed with tears.
“I love you too. It’s so weird- you can’t leave my mind. I miss you. I want you. I want to be with you, I want to choose to love you…”
“My dear, we can be better. Grow to do better..together.”
“Oh, fuck it!” you cried.
You grabbed and kissed him. You could feel it already- his mere touch driving you crazy. You wanted nothing more than him on you, in you.
“Oh, I can tell, my dear…” he smirked, his voice half a laugh.
His hand lifted up. Green magic sparked from his hand and then went around you. A clear shield.
“No one will see us, hear us. We are silent and invisible, my pet.”
At once you got on his lap, straddling him. Just piling on the kisses, his scent- him. Your lips crashed onto his. A hand reached up, and raked through his curls. He washed them today- and how beautiful, how soft they felt to you. Well…there was one thing you felt that was definitely not soft. And you felt it already poking at you, right at the lace underwear you wore for tonight.
“Oh…oh gods….” You moaned. The shudder escaping you. He carefully moved his hips closer.
He held you tight. Already your hips lining, an electricity shooting through you both. You let out another whimper.
“Ah, if that is the effect a mere brush of my clothes has on you…then you must be ready when my bare flesh touches yours,” he whispered.
He then sucked onto a part of your neck and you sighed into it. Loving it-loving him. You reached up.
Your fingers were too greedy, you went to his tie. You gently undid it. Then it was just an impractical thing dangling from his neck like a scarf with his undone shirt.
“Holy shit, that’s hot,” you confessed. You moved in another sloppy kiss.
“I see…my little dove is eager, greedy…and who am I to keep her waiting too much…” he replied.
He held onto you. Then at once, used his magic to make the plates and food and glasses vanish. He shoved you onto the table. You began to kiss on him. Holding onto him tight, and grinding as you did.
“Please…I need you…”
“Oh…still more…then…then beg…” he asked. “You will have to want my touch rather than placing your pretty hands all over me.”
With a bit more magic, his undone tie was over your wrists.
“Yes…yes please…Loki…I need you…I need you inside me…here, now- fast. Rough.”
“Hmm, what was that last bit?” he asked quietly.
“I just want you to take me- take me in the filthiest way possible on this table, here.”
He chuckled. Then easily flipped you over onto your stomach. He lifted your skirt. You heard him tsk at the sight of your lace underwear on display. Already dripping wet from the inside, but flattering your ass.
“First…you must learn a lesson…you scared me quite a bit there, going with that fool of a brother I have…but now you are mine…but you will learn a lesson.”
He undid your underwear and let it fall. Then he reached for a hand and spanked it. You let out a yelp.
“Tell me I’m yours with every spank. Then thank me.”
“I’m yours. Thank you.”
He spanked you again, and he let out a cry. The momentum makes you move.
“Hmmm…what was that?” he asked.
“I’m yours! Thank you!”
He spanked you a third time, you let out another sound- then it melted to your voice.
“I’m yours, thank you.”
Then a fourth time. You could already feel the impact, the sting on your flesh. How since his hands were so large, it could cover so much of your ass.
“I’m yours-thank you!”
“One more time- I didn’t quite hear that.”
He spanked another time and you cried out.
“I’m yours! Thank you!”
You still felt your necklace almost to your mouth. Your arms were a little tight from being held together. But gods, this was the hottest thing you had ever experienced.
“Yes…are you ready, my little mortal. Can you handle all of a god?”
“Yes…yes please-please…”
His hands wandered to your legs, his breath catching. Letting you spread wide. Finally, you felt him inside you, getting inside with each inch.
“Oh- oh-oh!” you were crying.
“You will be a good girl, and take all of it. You wanted a god, and now you have him,” he demanded.
He let out a slow thrust.
“Yes! Yes, I can!”
“And you will keep saying thank you.”
He thrust again. Grunting with each one. The table shaking. The pure lewdness of it all overwhelms you.
“Yes-Yes-Yes, oh gods- thank you- thank you so much!”
You could feel how he reached over the skirt. His own sounds. The little noises he was making, his breath right over the back of your neck. His breathy repetitions of your name. Then you felt the bonds disappear- he pulled you up to him.
“Hold onto the table, dove. It’s going to be rougher-”
You grabbed onto it for dear life. Then let out a cry as he got into you. He pounded into you with such a dury the wood shook, you gripped on. IT was so painful, so pleasurable.
“Oh- oh my god- yes-yes-please-oh-thank you, yes thank you- thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou-”
“My-my dear I- gods, the sight of you- nrgh-bent over for me- such-such loyalty-to-to-to your god and-fuck-I’ll be-be loyal back-”
He reached a hand in as he pounded and found your clit.
“Now darling- yes-yes cum-that’s your reward-norns-norns I’m close-come on-just cum, over it all-scream so loud-test the shield-yes-come one-hel, I’ can’t I’m about to-I’m about-”
You came with a cry, it broke on you so intensely. The release you couldn’t fight anymore. It spun up and out, and then the relaxation of its flight washed down your system.
Then it became all smaller, quieter cries.  “Ah..ah…ah…”  you were whimpering with what voice you had after that.  You were panting as was he.
His magic got rid of the embarrassing mess that some poor employee of the restaurant would have to clean up. It smelled and felt normal. No one would suspect a thing… except for how you both held hands leaving the place. A blush on Loki’s cheeks as his tie was still left undone for you.

Ooo, that's SO cool! Thank you for sending me this! 🧡
Let's see...
▪︎ Baby Fever Trilogy
It was the start of this AU, and y'all know how much I love it. I'm very happy that so man people love this sweet lil' universe as well.
▪︎ By The Fireplace
The story was originally for @lokisgoodgirl 's Winter Warmers Collection, and now it's the foundation of the Ice Flower AU.
▪︎ Illusions
I am SO proud of this Loki story. I truly am. It was inspired by two amazing songs and I just love the concept of it.
▪︎ Blurred Love
Ahh yes... My Will Ransome series. I dunno why, but this holds a special place in my heart. I absolutely LOVE the plots of this. And how steamy I was able to make it.
▪︎ Crossing Lines
I love, love, love to write for Mr. Dixon. He always just comes naturally to me when I write him. I love all of my Daryl stories, but this one is... Wow. Followed very closely by all the stories involving my OC Teddy.
Again, thank you for this, @loz-3 ! I had so much fun doing this! 🧡

Thank you so much for the ask my lovely @gigglingtiggerv2. I had so much fun writing this and reading other people's lists! They always say to write what you love and so I do...
1. Mayari
Tumblr media
It was my first ever fic. And it goes without saying that it holds a very special place in my heart because of that. And also because I made sure the OC was a person of color. Someone different. Someone I can relate to and see myself as.
2. The Language of Flowers
Tumblr media
My favorite scene that lives rent-free in my head is "Chapter 2: Gardenias," where Loki showers the OC with rose petals. 😍😍😍
3. Creature Comforts
Tumblr media
Some of my most favorite lines are from this series. In Chapter 1;
“...You don’t try to grab my attention. You simply exist. Like a star in the night sky, dancing so brightly, showing your light, but letting the moon outshine you. But I see what you really are.” “And what is that?” you asked skeptically with a raised brow. “What are all stars really, but a sun,”
4. Man Of The Month (a collaboration with @muddyorbsblr)
Tumblr media
This was so much fun to write. It was a challenge to write for anyone else other than Loki as the main love interest for the month. It was refreshing to write from so many different points of view.
5. My One-Shots & Drabbles
Tumblr media
I know this is cheating, but I honestly couldn't keep the list down to five. I have some amazing one-shots that I love and reread myself.
Heatstroke
Pheromones
Narratives
Her
Midsummer Pining
Blowing Dandelions
The Watcher
The Grieving Widow

A/N: ...and we're back. Can't say that took long. Maybe two hours between queuing up the last one and starting this one. My muse is in a needy mood this week.
This drabble is my second addition to the 14 Days of Valentines community project hosted by @muddyorbsblr.
Series masterlist
Pairing: Loki x reader
Summary: So, you met a god at a gala...may the courtship begin
Tumblr media
Flurries begin to drift outside, solidifying the promise of a snowy week. At their cue, you exit the cafe to store the patio furniture.
Your three patrons barely notice, absorbed in their phones and newspaper. It's been an especially slow morning, with little distraction from your wandering thoughts.
You wish Wanda would show up. Even if she did, you couldn't bring yourself to tell her what's bugging you, but at least you could vicariously enjoy her love life. 'It's silly, really,' you chide yourself. 'He was just being polite.'
It hasn't kept you from hoping though. From perking up expectantly each time the door chimed. From offering to take Chrysa's shift at the first hint she might not want it. From spending "a tad" more time on your appearance in the mornings.
You shake your head with a scoff as you lock the shed. The thought that an Avenger...a prince...no, a god would be interested in you...'delusions of grandeur is the understatement of the century.'
You take a deep breath and with a shake of your head, return to the warmth of the coffee house.
"Hello darling."
You trip on a chair leg at the sound of his voice, your eyes trailing up to reach the face you'd just pushed from your mind. "Hi," you squeak. "What...ah, what can I get for you?"
Brushing your hands off on your apron, you slide around the counter to face him. Your other patrons remain oblivious. Either they don't recognize the man who'd lead an army through town three years ago, or more likely, hadn't looked up when he entered. The quiet Slavic eatery has two Avengers show in the span of a week and the locals can't be bothered to notice.
Loki studies the pastry display. "Are these the kolaczkis you spoke of?"
"Yes, they are," you try to tamper your enthusiasm, swelling with pride. "I baked them this morning. Would you like one?"
"I would be honored," the sincerity of his tone has your cheeks on fire. "Do you have tea?"
"We do," you carefully plate a particularly well-filled kolaczki. "What's your preferred blend?"
"Earl grey," he replies, but you don't quite catch it. It reaches your ears fine, but your brain is fixated on the way his lips move. The pastry hovers, your hand half extended across the counter. Your mouth moves, caught between responding and preparing to brush against his as your limbic system fires in every direction.
He smirks as he repeats himself and takes the offered plate.
"Sorry, what did you say?" Being this attractive can't possibly be legal, right?
"Right," you nod. "I'll get right on you. On that. On...I'll make your tea." Turning to do so, you continue under your breath. "Pull it together already." You make yourself a fresh cup as well, opting for a chamomile with a prayer that it calms your nerves.
Steaming water fills the cups and you realize the two of you are alone in the cafe. The street outside is hushed and deserted, snow collecting on the windowsills. "Would you do me the pleasure of joining me?" he asks.
"Of course." You take a kolaczki and join him in the cozy booth by the window. You watch, wide eyed as he flavors his tea. You haven't seen anyone, even an unattended child, put that much honey in a drink.
"I must admit, the pastries weren't my primary motivation for coming." He takes a bite. "Though they certainly live up to their reputation.
"I'm here because I wish to court you."
"Court me?" The antiquated phrasing makes you smile as much as the meaning behind it. "So, to clarify, you're asking me on a date?"
"Ah, yes. A date. That's what the Sargent called it. Would you join me for dinner tomorrow evening?"
"Dinner sounds wonderful," your eyelashes bat at the thought. Courtship. Like some Cinderella fantasy. He wishes to 'court' you.
"Excellent," he beams, standing. "Thank you for the tea. I'll pick you up at 7."
You pull out your phone to take his number. There's a notification: "Stark Industries download complete. New contact: Rock of Ages (LL)." You giggle. "Rock of Ages?"
"What?" his confused frown turns to mild irritation. "Stark finds these names amusing."
"Just texted my address. I'll see you tomorrow at 7 then."
"Lovely, darling," he kisses your knuckles. "I'll take my leave. You ought to do the same before the snow gets worse." With that, he's gone.
A/N: Thanks so much for reading! Every note is a compliment of the highest order.
Tag list: @peaches1958

I've already heard that Tumblr tends to mess up tags... And I've even suspected that Tumblr did it with one of my posts...
But I didn't realize how big the problem is...
@muddyorbsblr has posted 14 times about the Tokyo Comic Con, tagging me in each one. However, I only received notifications for 6 of them.
6 out of 14. That's less than 50%.😑😨
How many messages have I missed because of this? And how many replies to messages and posts have I not received because my posts were never seen?😔😣
Do you know what can be done about it or how to bypass this? Is there the same problem about reblogs and comments? 🤔
I'm just shocked at the moment..
Tagging some people, maybe it will reach at least some of you 😅 @lokisgoodgirl @wheredafandomat @redfoxwritesstuff @ijuststareatstuffhereok89 @infinitystoner @lokischambermaid @holdmytesseract @gigglingtiggerv2 @smolvenger @mochie85

The gilded participants of the royal winter solstice court collectively held their breath as the thick wooden door swung open, blowing in the longest night of the year-and a face no one had seen in a very long time.
Prince Loki stood in the doorway.
His tall form-foreboding. Freshly fallen snow lay in the gray fur trim of his coat and eyelashes, which covered his muted vermillion eyes.
His skin was not the pallor moon color of the other Asgardian partygoers. Or anything like what you might have assumed it to be. The words “Blár himinn” escaped your mouth in a haunted whisper. You’d been studying Old Norse, and it was the first thing that came to mind as you tried to take him in.
He was one of the most exciting beings you’d ever seen in your entire life. You were so thoroughly shocked, much like the rest of the attendees. You scanned the room, waiting for someone from the royal family to speak up as you clutched your wine glass, still almost full to the rim.
Then a deep voice edged with emotion came from the back of the large banquet hall.
“Loki.”
He brushed a few errant snowflakes from himself that had yet to melt. He cleared his throat. Perhaps he had not spoken in a while, you puzzled.
“Father,” was his simple reply.
Somehow the palace became even quieter with the two words spoken by father and son. They seemed to absorb all the ambient noise further. Even the logs on the fire ceased to crackle. Frigga was the next to speak, but she had made her way towards Loki, leaving Odin standing near the silent roaring fire.
“My son,” she collapsed her arms around him, holding him tightly. She looked tiny, her crown diminutive.
“Queen Frigga, let’s not pretend with pleasantries. You know very well I am not your son.”
“Loki, you will always be my son. I am so glad you are still alive. I am so thankful you survived whatever recent toils you have encumbered.”
“I am not sure I did, mother.”
“I am not the man you last saw.”
“I see that, Loki,” Frigga said, scanning her son’s appearance. She had never seen him in his fully Jötun form. He was remarkable and frightening all at once.
“Do you prefer to be Jötun now, son?” Frigga’s words slowly escaped from her mouth as she touched his hair.
Loki scoffed. He could not believe his mother’s gall—her supposition.
“If you believe that is true, then you are a worse fool than I imagined, mother, like every last one of you.”
Loki’s callous tone was consuming.
By now, Thor, Odin, and the rest of the einherjar had gained the confidence to approach the returned prince.
With caution, they encircled him. Unsure if he was hostile, they were ready to take Odin’s orders should Loki be deemed a clear threat.
A thousand different possibilities merged in the minds of his family. Where had Loki been all these years? He had returned briefly when he could break free of the Chitari. The damage he had incurred in New York had been minimized, thankfully. Still, Loki felt deep remorse and embarrassment for being at the mercy of such a demented race of beings who capitalized on his weakness. He left Asgard as soon as possible and would not have returned tonight had he not needed their help.
He had run out of options.
Loki didn’t like the extra attention he was getting now. He didn’t want to stop his family's lavish event on his account. He had hoped for a less dramatic entrance. His timing was off.
“I am not a feral monster. Even though I may look it father, you can call off the einherjar.”
Odin waved his hand.
“Stand down.”
The royal guards nodded briefly and left the hall.  Odin turned to the stunned crowd and addressed them.
“Please keep the music going. My son has been gone for quite a while. We will take a brief leave as a family and shortly return,” he turned to Frigga and Thor and ushered them all to the adjacent serving room.
As Odin’s orders to recommence the party filtered through the crowd, chatter could be slowly heard again, along with the gentle sound of the ceremonial harp and drums sending rhythm into the air.
Thor’s normally steady appearance was dimmed. He looked like he encountered a ghost, judging by his startled expression as they all filtered into the busy room full of servants.
When they closed the door, you lost sight of them but moved closer across the room, hoping to hear something.
You were a mere Midgardian healer, but you were intrigued by the possibility of talking to Loki.
Someone you had wondered about since you were granted a research position in the court. You put your ear to the door as you’d seen on old sitcoms, and just like in a sitcom-the door soon swung open, hitting you in the side.
Loki filed out with his entire family trailing loosely behind him, trying to get him to slow down and listen.
He stopped briefly and looked in your direction as you rubbed your arm.
Laughing, he strutted further into the hall and said, “As the saying goes, you get what you deserve for being nosy."
You raced after Loki and joined the line his family was forming behind him. He stopped at the large food table and grabbed what looked like a croissant filled with brie and figs. He took a large bite and stood chewing while staring at you.
Something about his tone to you supposed a familiarity. It was disorienting.
You interjected and spoke, “Sir, I am sorry for listening in. I just was worried you were going to leave.”
“Now why would that worry you, pet?”
Pet? Again, a familiarity that was flummoxing.
You tried to speak quickly while you had his audience, “because I am here from Midgard, I am what you would know as a healer. I am looking for an element on Asgard that I feel, will help my fellow humans…I want to….”
Loki interrupted you mid-sentence.
“You wouldn’t be the first weakling human seeking the help of the gods, and surely not the last,” Loki sighed and moved on to pour himself a large goblet of wine from a crystal decanter.
You were somewhat taken aback. Perhaps you’d mistaken this god for someone benevolent…
“Weakling? I beg your pardon?” you said, feeling confused. Sure, he was in another form and looked very intimidating, but wasn’t he ultimately supposed to be at the mercy of humans?
Thor stood between you and Loki. Absentmindedly he continued the conversation they were having in the serving room.
“Loki, you can’t just show back up like this! We thought you were dead this time, for real. You must tell us why you have reappeared!”
Loki ignored Thor and returned his gaze to you.
“I think you might have mistaken the god of mischief for what you humans now call Santa Claus. I am not here to give you what is on your ‘wish list,’ especially if it is some ‘cure,’ and I do not care if you’ve been naughty or nice,” Loki laughed to himself.
He continued pointily speaking, “I hope you’ve been naughty. I’d more likely grant you one of your wishes if that were the case.”
“Naughty?” you mumbled nervously under your breath. Was he reading your mind!?
It was true. As you watched him devour food from the buffet table, a stray thought appeared like a singular meteor streaking through the sky. One could miss it if you weren’t incredibly fast.
But he was just that fast.
You had paid too much attention to the tight fit of his long coat. The way his dark hair fell across his shoulders. The lithe blue of his body seemed to be barely contained by the black leather he wore. No. You shouldn’t look at him like that, and you shouldn’t think these things. You had stopped yourself-but. It was enough for him to know. He turned his attention back to Thor, Odin, and his mother, who seemed on the verge of frantic.
He sighed to himself. Loki knew he must explain something soon.
“Fine. If I must explain, I am here because, for every god-forsaken year since the Chitauri intercepted me, I seem unable to keep my Æsir form during the winter solstice,” Loki explained with tinges of pain and relief for having explained himself a little.
As a doctor from Earth, you were now an invested part of this discussion, seeing as no one so far seemed to have the ability to shoo you off. And the fact remained, there was a familiarity. His casual tone with you, your peaked interest in him. The fact you were still standing alongside the royal family when other mortals would have fled.
Your mind raced with possible reasons for Loki's new problem keeping his Æsir form. Why did this problem only occur during the winter solstice? Had this alien race, which you only knew a small amount about, done something to him? Or was this a natural process now happening to him? Would it have happened whether he knew his true origin or not?
Odin spoke first. “You come back to your family for help. I see. This is where you belong.  I am glad you finally see the error in your ways….” Frigga moved closer between her son and king.  She quickly cut him off before he could perhaps anger Loki further.
Changing the subject, she said, “Loki, why don’t we bring you to soul forge and Eir? I wish you would have come sooner than continue to stay away like this,” her face crestfallen.
Loki went on, “Being in my Jötun form was not the only reason I stayed away, mother. Lies, deceit, and general malice inflicted upon me by my family might rise to the top of my reasons.” His smile was icy.
Your next words were careful, continuing to feel the strange compulsion to stay in this obvious family-only situation.
But your time was quickly evaporating.
“Who is this woman again?” Loki said, stepping so close you could feel his hot breath on your head. His attention was so focused on you. You had trouble blinking your eyes.
Frigga grabbed your arm and spoke to you both, “son, she’s here researching….”
“Yes, yes, she told me. Some boring cure. Well, it seems, pet, we both need some leiðr. Perhaps we have business together after all.” He was smug and even more casual, with possibly more licentious double meaning between his words.  You tried to remain centered. Calm.
“Loki, yes, I think I could perhaps help you if you let me-and maybe yes, perhaps you can help me with what I am looking for,” you said timidly.
Loki continued to keep his ruby eyes on you. “Hmm, you do look rather familiar. Is this your first time on Asgard? Do we possibly know one another?”
You answered him quickly, nervously, tugging at your dress. “This is my first time on Asgard. I understand not many humans come here. There is no way we could know one another, sir.
Loki looked disgusted. “Please stop calling me, sir. Master might be more befitting, but we need to get to know one another just a tad more.”
Your flushed face was impossibly hot. You held your hand against it. You were both intrigued and offended, it was enjoyably distasteful.
Frigga seemed to agree that adding you to the royal entourage of healers was a good idea, even though she was not sure of her son’s true motivation. Surely enough, he did seem to recognize you from somewhere, from some place or time.
The winter solstice festivities continued, but Odin had moved you and Loki to the healer Eir’s compound. Thor had begrudgingly agreed to stay behind, entertain the guests, and receive the various offerings while his brother was being tended to.
Once Loki was situated with the healers he was throughly examined and placed in the soul forge.
You noticed Loki barely fit in while in his Jötun form. His long legs trundled off the bed of the quantum molecular device. He had stripped down to nothing but his black leather pants. The distinctive lacing at the front was very distracting. No belt was required, just a solid arm to pull the laces taut against his stomach.
You were careful to conceal your thoughts in an overarching mental picture of your Hippocratic discernment. He turned his gaze to you once or twice, and you quickly looked away.
“Loki, you can get up now,” Eir said as she held her soft, delicate hands to him. Eir and Frigga had carefully done all they could to try and understand the waning seiðr.
He sat up and ran his hands through his hair which was curling slightly. He then held on to his own body strangely. Was he possibly in pain, you thought to yourself?
Eir and Frigga closed their notebooks and asked the rest of the healing staff to leave. Frigga sat down next to her son.
“Loki, it seems that the stress of being under the mind control of the Chitauri broke our spell in a particular way associated with the calendar cycle of Jötun biology.”
“What does that mean, mother? Am I to continue to go through this year after year?”
“Son, I think so, until….”
Eir sat on the other side of Loki, placing her hand on his shoulder. She had practically raised Loki along with his parents. Having first held him when he was a tiny baby stolen for Jötunheim.
“Come out with it, mother, just tell me plainly,” Loki was perplexed and wondered why the long preamble to any discoveries that had been made.
You already knew what they meant, as likely did Loki. Jötun must have a cyclical reproductive cycle associated with the absence of the sun and the longest night during the winter solstice. They must become most fertile during this time away from the sun. That made sense, given the star, had any power over them at all.
It was just one of many suns that filled the nine realms, you marveled at the significance it could have. Your eyes averted to the still-dark night outside. You imagined there were perhaps a few hours left before dawn.
You walked over to Loki, watching his sullen face in the candlelight of the healer’s small quarters.
You finally spoke as tenderly as possible, “How long do you usually stay in your Jötun form when this happens?”
He looked at you with his usual caviler and shrugged his shoulders.
“It has never been the same once. That is why I am forced to come here now. I cannot live a proper life with this looming. I do not want to stay as a monster for any length of time.”
You couldn’t believe how he again referred to himself as a monster. He seemed the furthest thing. Except for his crass mouth, he was handsome. He was more than handsome in his Jötun body.
“Loki, I suspect perhaps if you, how do I say this, if you found a lover, perhaps that would shorten the time you spend in your Jötun form,” Eir suggested while looking at Frigga nervously.
She responded tentatively, “Son, we know you’ve never had a problem finding a lover. I am certain it should not be a problem now. This is worth a try if you haven’t already, um…tried this remedy.”
Loki responded quickly, hopping off the soul forge and magicking his clothes back on. He quickly walked towards the healer’s doorway and almost left before pausing briefly.
“Who would want me like this, mother? You continue to slay my already broken heart with your willful ignorance of the turmoil you and father have perpetuated. I am better off returning to Jötunheim to reclaim my rightful throne and leaving this world of lies behind me.”
With that final cutting remark, Loki left.
You felt you had no choice but to chase after him, leaving both Frigga and Eir flustered and saddened. Frigga’s delicate hands covered her face, fighting back her tears of regret. Eir was more curious about you and what would transpire next.
“LOKI!” you screamed his name as you plowed through what felt like feet of snow. So much you could barely see the tops of your boots. You followed his snow steps and quickened your pace, calling his name repeatedly into the snowy solstice night.
“LOKI PLEASE!” you were breathless. The wanton desperation and lust of a woman had replaced the righteous doctor from Midgard. The thought of Loki finding himself repulsive in his Jötun form was so painful you could barely stand it. You wanted to help him, and you were painfully attracted to him. There was a certainty to it you couldn’t understand.
Finally, you made it back to the palace grounds, having traced every one of his steps until you arrived at the tower where his old room was likely located. You spotted a soft orange glow from the tallest window. He must be up there.
Contemplating the likely 400 steps, it would take to climb was another matter. Again, you called him, “LOKI, LOKI, it’s me. Can I come up? Or can you help me come up? I’m freezing down here.” It was true. You were almost frostbitten. You only had your thin coat over your gown, not a hat or gloves. The wind whipped around you and the palace. Just as you were about to leave, truly saddened and crazed that your curiosity had gotten you involved in such a mess-you heard the baritone of his voice cascade seemingly brick by brick down to you.
“Human, you are truly mad. You’re not coming up here.”
“Loki, were you not the one who was shamelessly suggesting I call you master just hours earlier?” your query blasted back at him.
“You found me attractive, or there was something you recognized, something familiar…I recognize it, too, or I wouldn’t be here freezing! Now please, can you bring me up? Just to talk even.”
“Fine.”
Loki had indeed had enough of his Rapunzel moment. He snapped his blue fingers, and you were in his room.
You both looked at one another for a brief moment before speaking more intimately.
Loki continued his protest at the thought of you helping him break this strange curse. He went on.
“We simply can’t...for one thing, human, I am twice your size.”
You laughed and sat on the bed, immediately grabbing his blankets around your shoulders. Loki saw you struggling and placed the white reynir fur around you. His hands lingering in a delicate slow motion, it seemed he was contemplating the possibility that neither of you might be clothed and blanketed for long…
“I am a doctor, Loki, and I am bound to heal no matter what by decree of an oath.”
“That oath does not count when you are visiting another realm.”
“It should!” you exclaimed as you patted the space next to you, seemingly inviting him to sit.
Loki did sit. There was barely enough room for the two of you. Suddenly both of your eyes were lost in the same thought. The bed was too narrow.
“The only way this is going to work love is if you get on top and ride me, if you can, that is. This bed won’t due.” He was sinfully smirking.
His mischievousness was resurfacing at a rapid pace. He had shifted his demeanor exceedingly fast.
Was he always so mercurial, you thought?
You took a deep breath. Both relieved he was not feeling so sorry for himself, but now that he was easier than you expected to convince, you had to make good on your offer. There seemed to be no way to go back. Not that you really wanted to rejoin the party. Not after this.
He leaned closer to you and grabbed your hair, pulling it out of your face enough for his lips to land squarely on yours. He didn’t take his time. His tongue plunged into your mouth, searching. His hands roamed your gown.
One palm took the back hooks and began unfastening so quickly your mind was buzzing. You pulled away for a moment and tried to think. You had wanted to talk to him before he was all over you…
“Loki, we don’t know if this will work. I don’t want you to be alarmed if you are still in your frost giant form after we, after you….”
“After I put my seed inside you lovely pet? Is that what you are trying to say?” his hands cupped your entire face as he stared into your eyes, laughing.
“I had wondered if you needed to or could just, you know, come on my stomach or something miserably quotidian like that.”
“Dear I think we both know how to break the spell. I must fill you with so much seed there will be no way you won’t leave my bedroom not pregnant with my child.”
You were now a little scared. His voice was harsh and raspy, crazed a little. He was hiding this carefully since he arrived at the winter solstice event. He was not entirely in control of any of this. This was why he was seeking his family's help. He was desperate.
You pondered the chances you’d get pregnant. You were responsible, you were a doctor. You could have a family. An Interspecies one seemed more daunting.
You considered if it was even possible for a human and a Jötun to mate? Your mind kept searching for examples in history. Had this ever happened before? While you were thinking and not thinking, in your haze, Loki removed the rest of his clothes.
You might have looked hesitant as he spun you around and loosened the rest of your fastenings. You stepped out of your gown, leaving the satin dress pooled at your feet for a moment before he lifted you into his arms. With a snap of his fingers, Loki lit the fire in the ancient-looking eldhús before laying you back down on a pile of furs beside it.
“What about the bed...?” you looked at him, slightly confused. You thought you had it all worked out.
Loki looked amused, “Dear, after more consideration I thought we might end up breaking it.”
You were smiling at his forethought into the impact of his Jötun virility.
“I want you. Will you have me? Even if I am a frost giant?” he mumbled into your ear, gently running his fingers over your nipples and down your stomach to your sex.
“Yes, I will have you,” you whispered back to Loki, closing your eyes.
This was ridiculous but somehow you were following your instincts as antithetical to your best interests as they were at the moment.
Loki’s long fingers quickly pushed inside your wanting body. When he pulled them out again, he delicately held a single digit to his lips, tasting you, he seemed to let go of all decorum and niceties in his euphoria.
He was going to fuck you…now.
With acrobatic ease, he pulled you on top of him, your legs strained to straddle him properly.
Loki’s cock was bewildering. As it touched your stomach, you leaned forward to grab it. Loki’s head fell backward, and he arched upwards with every stroke and flick of your wrist, winding around its massive size. Loki’s eyes met yours before he quietly spoke.
“Are you ready?”
You smiled and gulped audibly.
“Ready as I will ever be,” you leaned down over him and kissed him passionately, with no reserve. This wild adventure pulsed through your veins with enough adrenaline to jump-start a tow truck. You lifted yourself and placed his cock inside you. You could do nothing but wince for a moment, but he gave you no choice to linger. His hips quickly bucked up, you yelped, and his arms came and wrapped around you, pulling you impossibly close.
“Min kærleik,” Loki seemed to repeat endlessly into your ear as he placed his head into the crook of your neck.
“Min kærleik, not long now,” he said as you continued to ride him with all your energy.
He was slightly aware that in this heightened state, he would not be the harbinger of endless hours of pleasure, at least not at this delicate moment.
You looked down at his cock inside you, wet, gliding effortlessly. How could this man have believed he was not beautiful in this form?
“You can fill me, Loki, do it, please,” you were truly lost in the moment, a little crazy.
Then he did.
It was like when he first stepped into the hall, the silence his presence afforded, the absence of sound. The same phenomena was occurring now.
You might have only closed your eyes for a second, but that was all it took.
You looked down again at the man beneath your spent body, and suddenly he was his normal pale, tall, wiry Loki.
“LOKI.”
“What, min ást,” his eyes were still closed.
“LOKI, YOU ARE CHANGED! WE DID IT!”
Loki’s now pale blue eyes opened, a sly smile etched across his face.
“I see. Well, thank you, my dove, for your contribution to both ‘science,’ as you say on Midgard, and the hopeful continuation of the royal lineage,” his hands found your stomach and stayed there rubbing small circles.
He was suddenly a little too calm perhaps for your liking.
“Loki, aren’t you relieved that you are no longer bound to continue transforming into your Jötun form every solstice? We did it! We broke the spell!”
“Oh, we sure did, pet,” Loki said as he rolled over on his elbow.
“Now, lay back down. I’m sure there are other curses and maledictions we could eliminate,” he said as he gently pushed you under him, kissing your neck.
It was as if you had awoken from a daze.
“LOKI, you need to stop for a moment,” you looked straight into his flashing eyes.
“Whatever is it, dove?” Loki looked aghast.
“Were you lying this whole time? Was there ever a curse on you?!” you said as you pushed him off you with a thud.
Dear lord. You looked down at your still naked body. You felt his come between your legs and shivered—that bastard.
You knew it wouldn’t hurt him, but you slapped him hard enough that he winced slightly.
“You didn’t have to make an elaborate lie just to sleep with me or breed me whatever it is we’ve done! This is more monstrous behavior than being a Jötun will ever be!” Loki held your arm back from possibly slapping him again, “I didn’t lie to sleep with you! I saw you right away. We know one another, dove. You aren’t the Midgardian doctor you claim to be either.”
“Yes, I am Loki! What in the hell are you talking about!”
“Come now. You were a part of this whole diversion. You were just playing along!”
“Playing along? Loki, you came inside me!”
He was getting a little miffed. He had recognized her. When she followed him to his tower, he knew their game was on. But what if she did not know who she was? It occurred to Loki, by the distressed look on her face, that she might have no idea.
Was she the one truly under a spell? She spoke of needing a cure but didn’t say it was possibly for herself.
“Dear, please calm down. I can conjure a contraceptive potion if you do not wish to have my child finally and for this mistaken identity or amnesia situation. Pet, I think you might not know who you truly are.”
“Loki, finally have your child? We only just met.” Tears were streaming down your face.
“If it was only that simple,” Loki mused.
With a wave of his hand, he produced a large book, which must have been over a thousand pages. He thumbed through each chapter carefully while simultaneously producing a tissue for your nose.
“Ah, here.” He placed the book in your lap and pointed with his long finger at a portrait on the left page.
“See, it’s you pet.”
You wiped your eyes and scrutinized the book before looking back at Loki.
“Loki am I this Valkyrie?” your voice so shaky you could barely speak, your eyes transfixed on the image before you.
“Yes, you are none other than Brynhildr.”
Thankfully, you read the accompanying text, which happened to be in English and not Old Norse.
“It says my love was Sigurd, not you, Loki.”
“The texts were all Christianized,” Loki scoffed.
“My dear, you had many lovers. The early Christians would have tossed themselves into the fire if they had even penned half the truth of how we were back then.”
“I’m sorry you don’t remember how this happened, and I am sorrier, I don’t remember either, dove. I lost track of you. You are back, though. That much is clear.”
You closed the book with a hard slam and looked at Loki. Some part of you remembered the familiar mischief. Some part of you knew he’d tricked you before, possibly endless times.
Something was just at the cusp of your memory but was unreachable. You felt your back, perhaps for the phantom wings that should be there or once were. You looked up at Loki, still crying, eyes wide with wonder and confusion.
In between your sobs, you said quietly, “Loki, what do we do now?”

just a lil affectionate bub giving her cuddles 🥹🥹
Tumblr media
onyx pt1
See my full list of works here!
Summary: You're stuck in the Avengers Compound because of an injury from your last mission, and you come across an adorable and affectionate little kitten.
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 2.3k
Warnings: language (no i'm not sorry, Rogers); talks of explosions and injuries sustained from explosion [let me know if i missed anything!]
Things to be aware of: one-sided crushing (but is it really…?)
Tumblr media
An eerie silence served as your only company in the Avengers Compound the last few days, some of your teammates off to finish the HYDRA mission that left you injured while the others took time off to visit their families over the holidays. With the promise to keep their comms on in case they would be needed until the New Year.
Now all that remained in the Compound with you were a few junior agents that drew the ends of the short stick, Val, and Loki.
Sadly your teammate, friend, and occasional drinking buddy Val was out blissfully spreading holiday cheer throughout New York with her girlfriend.
And Loki? Well, the God of Mischief wasn't exactly on chummy terms with you. Didn't even so much as give you a passing glance when you were at mission briefings.
Which was a damn shame because what you would give just to get lost in those stormy ocean eyes.
You made your way to the pantry in the common room to replenish your stash of snacks, towing along a little wagon to help you on the way back. Every step had you feeling every square inch of bruising on the left side of your body that you got from being unlucky enough to be caught in the blast radius of an explosion at the HYDRA base you were trying to infiltrate with Shaun just a few days ago.
Your phone buzzed with a new message. "Speak of the devil," you muttered to yourself, seeing Xu's name on your screen as soon as you pulled up next to the elaborate barista setup, putting a few Lindor truffles in a small bag for your wagon. "Hey FRIDAY?"
"Yes, Agent Y/L/N?" the AI answered immediately.
"Could you make me a white chocolate mocha with peppermint while I raid the latest Costco delivery for uhh…supplies. Yeah, I'll go with that."
"Right away, Agent Y/L/N." The sound of the barista setup whirring to life filled the kitchen area as you checked on Shaun's message.
Thor just mentioned that he'll ask his brother to take a look at your injuries. Maybe get him to kiss it all better. He finished his text with a smirking emoji, along with some hand gestures that painted a less than family friendly picture, making you roll your eyes at the screen.
You recorded a voice memo for him. "You know that he'd need to actually be willing to look at me so that he could see the damage from the blast, right? And last I checked I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm Medusa reincarnated and I'll turn his Asgardian ass to stone."
You went on to the ridiculously stocked pantry to rummage the delivery that came just a few hours ago, trying to find a bag of Jalapeño Cheetos somewhere in the mix, when you heard a tiny meow from somewhere behind you. You looked to the ground to find a black and white munchkin cat looking up at you with wide blue eyes.
"Hi there, baby…" you cooed, surprised the adorable little creature hadn't hissed or scratched at you yet. Cats normally didn't take to you, which was a shame because you often found yourself fighting the urge to pick one up or stroke its head whenever you crossed paths with one during your errand runs. "How'd you get in here?"
The tiny kitten caught you by surprise with what it did next, walking up to your feet and proceeding to rub its cheek against your ankle, a little purr emanating from its small fluffy body. You decided to risk the hissing and scratching and bent down to pick it up, your heart melting once he placed his paws on your cheek and proceeded to nuzzle your face with his nose.
"Aren't you a complete darling." He settled into your arm as you carried him out of the pantry, a little whine escaping him when you placed him down on the counter. He stood on his hind legs and made grabby hands towards you, blue eyes wide and pleading for you to pick him back up. "Just a second, sweet baby, I'm just getting you something to drink."
You took out a tiny sauce dish and poured some cream into it, pushing it toward the kitten that responded with a slow blink and a meow before licking away at the rich liquid.
"I'm sure your owner's gonna crucify me for giving you that but I can't help spoiling little fur babies especially when they're as adorable as you are." You took a sip of the coffee FRIDAY had finished making before shouting out a question for her. "Hey FRIDAY, you have any clue who this little bub belongs to?"
It took a second for her to answer. "Negative, Agent Y/L/N. There is currently no other agent on the premises looking for their pet. I also see no collar on them and from a preliminary scan they do not seem to have a microchip on them."
Those words stopped the kitten from drinking to look up toward the ceiling and hiss at the source of the voice. He only relaxed once you started stroking his fur again, going back to drinking and letting out a few purrs along the way. "No owner, huh? Does that mean I can invoke Finders Keepers then?"
"It appears so, Agent Y/L/N. What would be your new companion's name?"
The kitten looked up at you, as if expecting your answer. You wondered briefly if he could actually understand what it was that you and FRIDAY were talking about. "How about Onyx? I know I know it's absolute garbage for originality to name a black cat after a black gemstone but--"
His eyes widened before he climbed up your arm, only stopping once he'd reached your shoulder to nuzzle at your neck again. "It seems he likes the name, Agent Y/L/N."
"Then it's settled." You placed a soft kiss on top of his head. "Hello there, Onyx."
You brought your new kitten back to your apartment, setting him down on your bed while you tried to take off your sweatshirt as gently as you could manage.
"Ah, fuck it," you hissed as you felt the bruising around your ribs, letting out a pained sound when you opted to whip the garment over your head as fast as you could instead. Your reflection revealed that the bruising on the left side of your torso was quickly becoming a frightening deep purple.
Onyx meowed from your bed, again standing on his back legs and making grabby hands at you, eyes wide with evident pain.
"What's wrong, little baby?" He placed his paws gently on your side when you made your way to him, pressing his nose to the skin near where your bruising began. "Oh don't you worry your pretty little head about those, sweetie. They'll heal…eventually."
He kept on pressing his face to the area, your heart melting for the tiny kitten even more realizing that he was pressing kisses to your wounds.
"You really are such a precious little bub, aren't you?" You picked your new kitten up, placing him on the armchair in your reading nook before setting an alarm for dinner in a few hours and settling into your bed. "Get some sleep, sweet baby Onyx. I'll see you in a few hours."
Your eyes had only closed for a few seconds before you heard another tiny meow followed by a soft thud, immediately making you sit up on the bed looking for the kitten. He'd already made his way to your bedside, standing on his back legs and reaching up trying to climb up the sheets.
"Alrighty then," you mumbled, picking him up and placing him on the pillow beside yours. You rolled over to lay on your right side to remove any pressure to your injuries the best you could, hovering your finger near Onyx's nose once you'd settled in. He leaned up and pressed his nose to your finger, paws kneading on his pillow. "Boop," you giggled. "Sweet dreams, baby."
Just as you'd closed your eyes to try catching an hour or two of rest before you had to eat again and take those pain meds that Banner prescribed you, your phone began to blare Immigrant Song way too loudly by your nightstand. There were only two contacts you gave that ringtone to and one of them was currently out with her girlfriend.
"Talk to me, Thunder," you muttered, groaning when your stretch to reach for your phone made your bruising smart a bit. "You all good over there?"
"Absolutely grand, Lady Y/N," the blond god's voice boomed from the other end. "I was just wondering if you could check on my brother, he refuses to answer his phone yet again."
"That's gonna be a hard pass from me, buddy. I've already been cut and bruised, I'm not too keen to add stabbed to that list. He's probably just practicing spells. Or out on a date." You winced at that last part, an irrational part of you flaring up with unwarranted jealousy at the thought of Loki out with just about anyone. "Just--I don't know, check up on him yourself when you get back. You can take a stab better than me anyways."
Thor sighed loudly, the low rumbling making Onyx step back from his pillow and start hissing at the phone. You stroked the top of his head to calm him down. "Very well then, Lady Y/N. Rest well. We're scheduled to return after nightfall."
"I'll have pizza here waiting for you guys. Bring your own mead." You clicked off and tried to get some sleep, having FRIDAY place an order for pizzas and wings for when the team gets back. Your new kitten padded his way over to you, resting his head on your outstretched arm and letting out a soft purr.
Tumblr media
The sound of the Quinjet coming back roused you from your nap, along with the feel of little paws on your arm and Onyx nuzzling your cheek.
"Looks like everyone's home," you mumbled, pressing a few kisses to the kitten's head before making your way out of bed. "Come on, little baby. Time to meet the team."
With a whole lot of discomfort and groaning, you slipped your sweatshirt back on before presenting your hand to Onyx and patting your shoulder, prompting the kitten to climb up your arm and perch himself on the spot, nuzzling his face behind your ear.
The team had already arrived and filled the common area when you made your way there, some of them helping themselves to the pizza. Barnes and Wilson walked in with coolers, probably filled with chilled bottles of beer inside.
"Hey, there she is!" Shaun exclaimed, pulling out a bottle of Pepsi before making his way over to you and pulling you into an embrace. "How's the healing go--Whoa there." He took a step back as Onyx hissed in his direction. "Where'd you come from, little guy?"
You shh'd the kitten, pressing kisses to his little cheek to calm him down. "It's okay, baby, Shaun is a friend. One of the good guys." You turned back to your mission partner. "Shaun, this is Onyx."
"Always thought you were a dog person, Babes," Natasha spoke up before taking your arm and walking you to the food. "We leave for one day and you become a cat lady. Where'd you even find the time to go to a shelter and get baby blue eyes over here?"
"I didn't, actually," you answered the master assassin. "I just went to the pantry and poof there he was, meowing at my feet. Like the cat distribution system mailed him to me by magic or something." He nuzzled your cheek again before starting to knead at your face.
"And he doesn't belong to anyone? You're sure?" Shaun spoke up, backing up immediately when he tried to pet your new kitten and getting hissed at. "Easy, kitty. I'm a friend, I'm not gonna hurt you." The martial artist turned back to you. "He wasn't collared? Or chipped?"
"Nope. FRIDAY scanned him and everything."
"You wanna think about getting him chipped?"
Onyx hissed again at the question before swishing his tail around to curtain your hair around him, his little body shaking on your shoulder. As if he was silently pleading for you to not take him out to have him chipped.
"Don't you worry, baby. I won't get you chipped, I wouldn't hurt you like that," you cooed, letting out a little giggle as he placed his paws on your cheeks and nuzzled your nose, giving the tip tiny licks. You were so focused on your cat's affections that the bellowing of Thor looking for his brother was a distant muffled noise in the background.
Until he got to where you were standing and his booming voice was impossible to ignore. "What an adorable little beast you have, with you, Lady Y/N." Onyx buried himself in the crook of your neck, shaking at the sound of Thor's voice.
"It's alright, Onyx. It's just Thunder, he may be all big and menacing on the outside but he's just a fluff ball on the inside. Come on, go say hi."
The blond Asgardian approached you, examining your new pet carefully before a knowing grin graced his bearded face. "Hello, Brother."
A chill went down your spine at his words. "What the fuck d'you just say, Blondie?"
He motioned toward the kitten on your shoulder. "This is the explanation for his lack of replies on his phone. His absence from his quarters. Lady Y/N, the little beast hiding himself in your hair…is my brother. That is Loki."
In your stupor, the only words you could manage to say were, "Bitch what?!"

A/N: Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to the members of SAS, beloved besties, and fellow whores! Here’s a little blurb/idea
Here’s the question, pet; have you been good? Or have you been bad? And what do you think you deserve?
Tumblr media
You look up at him with the big doe eyes you know he can’t resist, all the while subtly pushing your arms together to push your breasts forward.
Giving him an unobstructed view of your cleavage while you kneel at his feet seldom fails.
You watch as his eyes glitter with lust. The bulge straining against his dress trousers is almost impossible to miss - he’s desperate to have you in spite of the display of nonchalance.
“I’ve been good, Sir!” you reply, shuffling forward a little on your knees. “I haven’t touched myself all day.”
He hasn’t made it easy for you. More than ever he’s tormented you with lingering stray touches or pressing his straining erection into your lower back or whispering the filthy things he’d like to do to you in your ear. It’s taken all your restraint not to let your fingers wander.
But only good girls get their reward.

“You have been very good for me, pet,” he says, motioning briefly towards his thigh with an elegant hand. “You have one minute to claim your reward.”

Once upon a time, you were a little child delivered to a house of strangers. Your dear parents, an established lord and lady, both died of a deadly illness that spread. You were separated from them- sparing your life. But without even a final goodbye.
It the Lord and Lady Brentford who took you in, for they were distant relatives. You could still feel the guard's hand, much bigger than your own, support you when the carriage door opened before the Brentford Manor. You stepped out of the carriage and onto their grounds. They looked at you with polite smiles…but nothing warm behind their eyes as they led you in.
It began small. At first, they were merely strict in their lessons with you. As any daughter of a lord. You tried to adapt, to please them. As much as your little eight-year-old self could allow. Even at your best behavior, they always reminded you of one thing: you were mere charity. Their one daughter you had never met. She was sent off to stay in a convent for her education.
It was when you were thirteen that one day, they requested you to move into a shabbier room. The one you slept in had to be used for guests.
Then they kept insisting the servants needed help with things. Mending, cracking eggs, a stone on the floor that needed scrubbing. You wanted to help, to please them. So you said yes.
Then, you realized one day your pretty dresses were gone. They said that what was left of your family's fortune had been spent already. You had to make ends meet, they said, by selling what nice ones you had. Leaving you with only servants' clothes.
Then, finally, when you were fourteen, you went down after helping cook breakfast. To eat with them…and there were only two chairs at the table.
“Where may I…I sit?” you asked.
The Lord glared up at you.
“You do not eat with us.”
“But…you are my guardians,” you replied.
He snorted. “You. Family?”
His eyes were cold.
“You were never our family, girl,” Lady Brentford agreed.
The stomach within you dropped. Hot tears welled up.
“Bring us our bread, girl.” she ordered.
“If…If my father was alive, he-”
Lord Brentford stood up.
“He is dead. Are you going to keep talking or should I get the horsewhip to get you to shut up? Bring. Us. Our. Meal.”
You went back, sobbing hot tears. Then delivered their meal to them. Banished. No longer as a member of the family. Or of any family that wanted you, loved you. You were unloved. Unwanted.
The Lord and Lady threatened to throw you out if you ran away resisted, or fought back. To beg on the streets. Or whore to survive. So you were stuck as a servant.
And so your life as a servant began for years here. Some of them gaped at first- the Lady Y/L/N turned into a drudgery maid.  They pitied you. They did not laugh at you for not knowing initially how to cook an egg but would show you how. They let you hug them and cry and rage. Only in private. For all knew how the Lord and Lady reacted to defiance. You got to know them and talk to them, It was Miss Anne who would give you oranges when they were in season to bite into. It was Mr. Page who would show you the secret bird's nest when you had to gather the apples in the orchard. Their kindness was appreciated.
There was one other consolation in your life- the Brentford’s only daughter, Jane. The time arrived when her long stay at the convent for her education was done. She was considered of age to be married and she moved back. A woman of your age, your very height and size but with pale skin, long chestnut hair, and bright green eyes.
After Jane got home, you brought her some food to her room but found she wasn’t there. You saw her outside in the garden climbing an apple tree in bloom to gather the fruit and flowers. As she stepped on one branch, it broke beneath her weight. With a scream she fell a great distance, breaking her leg. At once, you alerted the servants and helped her in. It was you who stayed by her side, nursing her until she healed.
Since then, a friendship began between you both.
Lady Jane was the sort who became a very different person than her parents. She was kind.  If you brought something a little late, she gave you no chiding. Jane was always getting into some sort of mischief, for sometimes she would scrape her hand or burn something, and you would patch her up.
You became each other’s confidantes…and then she considered you not as a servant, but an equal. You were sometimes tasked to be with her, and those were the easiest- delivering her correspondence two and fro, brushing her hair, and dressing her. Even picking flowers for her room to cheer her. Jane loved animals and her pride and joy was her mare, Psyche, who you would be tasked to feed and brush.
It was only a shame she had no interest in marriage or even romance. If only she got married so you could become her chambermaid and live far away from this place! But no. She refused to be forced into a marriage. You were amazed at her bravery to refuse her parents boldly. However, she was their natural daughter and a Lady. She had the privilege to rebel. You did not.
Sometimes you wished you were her, you had to admit. Jane was something of a recluse, not wanting to go to balls and parties and be out in society. Her beautiful dresses only caught her mild interest, preferring riding her mare, her books, climbing trees, and talking with the servants despite her parent's protests.
You wished she’d say yes to one ball- how beautiful it must be to wear a gown and dance the dances you were taught when your parents lived! And to maybe have men show interest in you and show up to see you- to be considered and wanted for marriage by some good-looking, nice lord!
But…what money your family left for your dowry was left to the Brentfords….who naturally spent it for their desires until you had none left. Without even a dowry, you would be considered useless for any Lord’s bride.
Maybe not marriage…but perhaps, as you looked at the married couple kept as servants here- Mr. and Mrs. Kent. Saw them hold hands and exchange small kisses in hallways and smile…love. To be loved. To fall in love. To find romance. Somehow. Something you had never heard, experienced, and could only yearn for in your deepest heart…perhaps there was someone out there who could love you…
But perhaps that was only for daydreams and for sad romances with Knights pining for already married ladies. Much less a scullery maid.
❛ ━━━━━━・❪ ❁ ❫ ・━━━━━━ ❜
One December morning, you spent one of the few hours you had alone walking in the woods. You reached the clearing of a field not far away. The Natural spot was so peaceful. No Lord or Lady Brentford. No threats. No names. Just the early winter morning.
You shivered in your dress. It was all you had on you.
That morning, you awoke to see the Lady Brentford. You did not mend her skirts to her liking. So she went to your room and in revenge, ripped apart your only cloak. She tossed it at you.
“There. Until you learn how to mend clothes the right way, stupid girl.”
You only held the torn cloak, tears pouring down over it.
The sun was bright, and the grass frosted. The world was brisk and cold, but it got warm after exercise. The sun was bright. Your breath comes out in puffs of smoke.
Suddenly, you heard horse hooves. Turning your head, you jumped to see a great white stallion galloping and on top of it was a man in a red cloak. You took a few steps in retreat.
Before you could have a good look at the rider, the horse suddenly stopped and bucked, his front hooves in the air with a whinny. It was so sudden, that with a masculine shout, his rider fell off of his horse onto the grass.
You let out a gasp-was he injured? Yes, this was a stranger. And a man. And you were alone. But he could use the help! And if he was injured, he couldn’t hurt you!
“Sir, sir, are you hurt?” you cried, picking up your skirt to go there to see him.
Up got the man with a small grunt.
You finally saw his face and you felt yourself stiffen.
He was incredibly handsome. Young with high cheekbones and a high forehead. Auburn curls and trim facial hair with soft blue eyes and ivory skin. Tall and lean yet muscular and broad. Virile and powerful, but an air of charm, and elegance to him, though you could not name why you could tell.
He managed to get up and wipe off his dirt on him, looking at you. He smiled, hands up in pace.
“I am alright! I’ve suffered worse!” he assured you.
“Are you sure?” you asked.
“Of course, my lady!” he replied, bowing his head.
You felt yourself go warm. You had not been called “my lady” in years. Much less by a handsome man!
You then saw the horse a small distance away. Trotting off. The man whistled, but the horse did not respond.
You knew you had to feed Psyche later today. Her carrots were in your pocket. You pulled one out and lured it over. Surely, the white stallion walked over. Once you fed him the carrot, you pulled him by the reigns over to the man.
“Thank you- he’s not used to me. A rather naughty fellow, but he shall be my good friend long enough,” the man laughed.
“If you give him enough treats, I’m sure he will be your friend quickly.”
“Thank you, my lady, you’re very kind. Do you need assistance getting home?” he asked.
For you to go home with a man?! They would think something less than chaste was happening out there. Especially since you were both a woman and a servant. Whores and thieves, that was what all thought maids to be.
“No thank you, I do not live too far,” you explained.
The sun went behind a cloud, giving it a slight chill. Though there was concern on his handsome face.
“But without a cloak?” he asked, tilting his head.
“I…I have no cloak I may use and I wanted to walk. I could brave the cold. Once one moves about, it does get warm,” you told him.
“Here, my lady…”
He took off his red cloak and put it over you You let out a small gasp. Feeling his hands brush past your shoulders as he sealed the clasp. It was so large it felt warm on you- the heat of his body and his scent still on it.
“Sir- this is too much!” you gasped.
“No, you may have it. I have a dozen others and you have none,” he refused, a kind smile on his face.
It was like an embrace. You touched the material, feeling it in your hands. It was high-quality cloth, likely expensive from the bright red. He must be some great lord who happened to ride by.
In his nice red leather jacket (it hugged his lean but broad form very nicely, you noted, feeling a sudden heat in you) he swung himself back up on the white stallion.
“Thank you, dear lady. For your concern to me.”
“And thank you, my lord, for your generous gift,” you replied.
“Farewell for now.”
He smiled at you, nodding his head, and then he rode off. You couldn’t help but watch him as he left.
You burst into giggles as you walked through the forest, feeling as if you could float from such an encounter with such a handsome man. For one brief moment, the love story you craved had happened. You drew the cloak around you. Your mind racing with fantasies of an actual embrace from him. Or even more- if he kissed you!
You returned very warm. You folded the cloak and set it down among your things, even the torn-up cloak. You smiled- always keeping that memory in your heart. You would make sure to guard it carefully. But even if the Brentfords tore it up, they could never tear up your memory, your moment, your encounter with this dream of a man. Or your hope that you would someday see him again.

The next day, amidst the fasting and preparations for the Christmastide season, there was a messenger who arrived at the door. He was dressed in fine reds and handed one male servant the letter. Up the servant came as you attended to the Brentfords. Eating their breakfast of simpler fare than they would like.
The servant looked flushed and wide-eyed. He held up the letter, declaring “My lord- it is an invitation from the king!”
There were gasps around the table. From none other than the king! The newly crowned Henry the Fifth. Lady Brentford grabbed it and opened it, reading it aloud.
“We do cordially invite all eligible, unmarried ladies of this household to attend the ball hosted by the king on Twelfth Night. Each lady shall be introduced to his majesty the king in addition to a night of dancing, feasting, and frivolity.”
Eyes went wide. You felt your heart begin to pound in your chest.
“Oh! A ball! How wonderful!” cried the Lady Brentford.
“To have him write us alone is an honor!” agreed the Lord. Though their eyes turned greedily to their daughter. Lady Jane stopped eating her bread, it nearly dropped on her plate.
You looked up from where you poured more drink into Jane’s cup.
“If he is asking to be introduced to eligible maidens...it means only one thing…” Jane began. Her face turned white, her appetite gone.
“He is looking for a bride! Oh, could you imagine? Our Jane- Wife to the King and Queen of England?”
Jane gripped the edges of the table.
“Mother, father, please- I don’t want to go. Please. There are plenty of other women who would be more happy to be there than me!  I don’t want to be sold like cattle to a man I don’t know, please! And I hear he was a drunkard and a thief- I don’t want to marry a man like that, please!” Jane pleaded.
“And risk losing the chance to become queen? Besides, we hear he’s a young, comely man, it could be worse! There are lots of old men we could consider marrying you off to! You must go!” argued Lord Brentford
You stepped forward.
“What if…I went instead of Jane?” you asked meekly.
Eyes turned to you, but you stood your ground.
“It said all eligible, unmarried ladies. I shall go in Jane’s place, so she doesn’t have to,” you said, a sudden rush of boldness in you. Perhaps it was the incident with the man the other day. You always wanted to go to a ball. And to go to a royal one was an honor.
Their heads turned.
“It shall break sumptuary laws for a maid to dress in finery. They could fine you. Or worse.” sneered Lord Brentworth.
“But I am Lady Y/L/N, like my mother was before me,” you blurted.
The Lord Brentford got up and slapped you hard across the face.
Your eyes brimmed with tears, feeling the sting of the impact.
“You are our servant and you will remember your place! And will hold your tongue and stay where you are, impertinent, foolish girl!”
You held your cheek, keeping your eyes down. The Lord continued.
“To think. You. A king’s bride- a queen? Yes, women like you were offered to him as whores, but I doubt he’d even want your filth in his bed, much less as his wife. You’d be lucky to polish his boots.”
They sat down, glaring at you.
“Now, there is laundry to be finished. And we have a ball to prepare Jane for- you must do it.”
You turned away, so they wouldn’t see you. You reached the smaller room for laundry. Where you could finally crumple to the ground and sob.

Jane’s dress purchased for the ball was the most beautiful thing you had ever seen.
It was a creamy white with pearl embellishments. Richly made, beautiful. It shimmered in the light and seemed to glow when it became dark. Everyone smiled big at it as it was brought up. But the envy and greed in your heart stirred, making you feel heavy and bitter. Sometimes, You forced your eyes away from it.
Christmastide arrived. With it numerous feasts. Some drinking and exchanging of gifts. The Lord and Lady were in sour moods but only softened when discussing their ambitions for their reluctant daughter.
Before you knew it, the new year arrived and the fifth of January. The day before the ball.
Jane looked at the dress laid out on her bed. You had merely sat on a chair behind her, mending her stockings. Everything in you not to cry.
“It is beautiful, I will admit. But…I have met cats more pleasant to talk to than some of the lords that will be there,” she sighed. “I love gossip and a nice meal as much as anyone else, but…how horrid I am at dancing! I know I will step on all of my poor partner's toes tomorrow night!”
Finally overcome, you set the stockings down.
“Jane, how can you say such things? Don’t you realize how fortunate you are?! Just merely go and enjoy yourself and think of your blessings!” you blurted out.
She turned to you. You were tearing up.
“I’m so sorry, I’ll be quiet now-” you apologized.
“Y/N, you know I’m not my parents. I won’t punish you for being honest. What is it? You’re crying, tell me!” she asked. She walked away from you and knelt as you sat.
She gave you a handkerchief and you began to wipe away your tears. Her eyes looked concerned.
“You’ll laugh at me,” you mused.
“I will not. Tell me what troubles you,” she offered.
You gripped the handkerchief in your hands, squeezing it for support as you began to confess.
“I wish I could be you. To go to a ball and to meet a king and dance. To feel equal to the other ladies who get to be introduced to him. Yes, becoming queen does sound like a nice dream. But, it’s not just that…I just…always wanted to try a pretty dress and not have to spend my nights working. If my parents lived, I would have experienced one. If the Lord and Lady weren’t who they are, I would have, but now……”
She hugged you in comfort.
“Oh, I’m a selfish being, I am! I am so sorry, poor Y/N! I’ll be more careful, I swear it!”
You hugged her back. Then she looked at the dress, then you. There was a look in her face- a light in her eyes. One that could only be when she had an idea.
“Jane…what are you thinking of?” you asked.
“What if…you were the one to go? Wear the dress and attend the party? ” she asked.
“What! What if- what if they catch us? We’ll get in trouble! There will be other balls!" you cried.
“There won’t be other royal balls. And I know how every servant hates my parent and they love you! Please, we can trust them!”
“But…will they watch?”
“My mother and father are rather fond of strong wine on Twelfth Night….”
You felt your heart race.
“You said you always wanted to. And you should go. We’ll switch clothes in case they wake up! They’ll be too drunk anyway. And you know it is a royal carriage they are lending us with a royal driver and footman- they won’t know you! Would you like that?” she continued.
You paused, your heart racing.
“You are a lady- you must accept it. Here- we shall keep it between us. We shall ask only a few servants…you will go to accompany me and wait- then we shall switch clothes. I shall be the maid to attend on you and you the lady! That way, if Mother and Father arrive in my room, they’ll see me gone and won’t suspect a thing!”
She was getting more excited, pacing about and talking. But then she turned to you.
“But…that is only if you want. It’s just an idea," Jane offered.
Your heart beat hard. A chance. It made you scared. You could get in trouble…but you never wanted to so badly to do it. You would go. Or die trying. At least once, you would fight for something you wanted.
“Jane, I accept your plan. Let’s make it happen.”
❛ ━━━━━━・❪ ❁ ❫ ・━━━━━━ ❜
At last, it was Twelfth Night finally arrived. You and the other servants managed to get the Lord and Lady Brentford so drunk, they were laughing and red-faced. Jane was presented in her pretty dress and curtsied for their applause. Then they had to go to bed to sleep it off. It would be minutes until the carriage arrived.
Jane grabbed your hand.
“Now, haste!” she hissed.
You raced to her room. She took off the dress, the servants all helping. She got into your plain dress and apron easily. You were given her fine necklace and her rings. Her little silvery slippers fit your feet perfectly. Then, at last, the dress was slipped over your head and sealed. It adjusts perfectly to your body. There was a soft gasp from one servant as they looked at you. Their eyes were made big and there were smiles.
“Is it…bad?” you asked.
“No…look,” Jabe offered, gesturing to the mirror in her room.
You hardly recognized the reflection.
You were radiant- the way its color complimented you. It brought out your eyes and your skin seemed to glow almost. The gems sparkled as if they were stars adorned on your chest and fingers.
“I…I look…” you muttered.
“I’ll say it- you look beautiful,” Jane said.
“Fie, Lady Y/L/N looks quite like a princess! They’ll think she’s sailed from France and my, won’t that be something!” agreed one servant.
The carriage arrived. You both stepped forward. A footman in his finest gave came forth and helped you both into the carriage- the Lady and her maid. Then off it went. There was snow on the ground that shone in the darkness as it went forth.
The stone castle arrived. You both were helped off. You could hardly believe it. It was at least three times the size of the Brentford Manor! Picking up your skirt, you went with Jane behind you.
There was already laughter and music. You could smell spices that made your mouth water.
You entered forth, seeing the torches lit around. There was a warm orange light. Part of the hall was cleared so couples could dance. Chatter erupted and wine flowed. You even felt eyes on you, admiring you in your dress. Though, you saw a line of women before one end of the room. The women to be introduced to the king.
“Lie to him, tell him you’re Lady Brentford!” advised Jane.
“I cannot lie to the king. Not without getting into trouble. I’ll only tell him my family name.” you said.
“S’blood, you are right there…best of luck!” she wished as she headed to help herself to the feast.
So all came forward to be introduced. Each lady. You all were smiling. You managed to chat with several by you. All excited and trying to suppress giggling. But it was brief, as there were many women. Apparently, according to them, you just told him your name, curtsied, and perhaps exchanged a sentence or two. Then you were dismissed for the next woman. Nothing more, nothing less.  The line went lower- you were happy to chat with them all. But all stilled as they got closer to the curtsy.
Then, before you knew it, it was down to the last three ladies before you. Then two. Then the last one turned and you faced the King of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.
There, on the throne, sat the man who fell from his horse.
The king?! The king!? The entire time it was the king! Oh God’s blood! He was the king! Harry of England! I have a cloak from none other than the king!  You panicked internally. Though your body tightened.
Your skin tingled and a coldness hit your stomach when you saw him. Your hands were suddenly clammy. The wind was out of you.
Henry the Fifth of England sat rigid. You saw his jaw drop a little and his face go pale. He too was in surprise.
Then he let out a small half laugh, a shaky smile growing on his face.
You gathered yourself together. Then, taking in a breath to ground yourself, you announced.
“I am Lady Y/F/N Y/L/N, your highness,” you introduced. Dipping into a curtsy.
He gestured his hand up to stop you from leaving. Your eyes fluttered down, folding your hands properly. Your heart hammered as he walked up, taking your chin and tilting it up. Your heart beat even harder. It was a miracle you were still standing.
He smiled, almost ironically.
“How are you, Lady Y/L/N?” he asked.
“Well, your grace.” you replied.
“Do you have a partner for the next dance?” he asked.
“No, your grace.”
“I believe I have sat long enough. I would like a dance with you, my lady, if you will have me, ” he offered. He extended his hand to you.
“You may, my lord,” you replied. Despite the slight trepidation, you accepted it.
He smiled at you, leading you down to the floor. You heard gasps, whispers, and saw many eyes staring. Some of the women from the line turning red as strawberries, fumes practically blaring out at them. You kept your eyes away from it all. Only at the floor, then up to him.
“I must warn you, I have no strength in dancing,” he warned you.
“Then perhaps this is only a practice dance, your grace,” you replied.
The couples went into lines. You curtsied and bowed. Took hands, walking back and forth. You realized Henry sometimes mixed up counts, but he was definitely not the worst. You smiled at him.
“How is your stallion, my lord?” you asked.
“He listens to me more. Would you like to know why?” he asked.
“Why?”
He turned to you in the dance.
“He cannot resist being given food. And that I learned from a certain lady I met,” he answered.
You grinned up at him. The dance continued. You found your eyes could not lower from his. Yet you knew the steps, knew every one. You were almost floating. As he touched your hand and would lead you, it seemed he was getting better with each other count of the music. You could feel how soft his hands were, how warm. Sense his presence, his steps. Feel the tingles from his touch, from when he looked at you. For a while, it was as if you were the only ones dancing.
Before you knew it, your dance with the king ended. He bowed and you curtsied. He then turned to line of women.
“I shall meet all of you, and shall spare a few dances, sweet, fair ladies,” he promised.
That seemed to appease them- you couldn’t blame them in the slightest.
Jane was already there to fetch you food and drinks now that she was satiated. To make sure all in your attire was well and good, ever the one to accompany a lady to make sure nothing less than chaste was occurring.
As the line shortened, you did notice Henry dancing with a few other ladies. Though there was a slight pang of jealousy, you did your best to ignore it for the other delights of the party- the rich decorations, the sumptuous food, the sweet sips of wine.  Besides, as you got to know plenty of people here, men and women, young and old, married or unmarried, you found them all kind and friendly to you. Your fellow eligible ladies befriended you as one among them, not as a rival to be torn apart. None even suspecting you were a servant- only a fellow and equal guest of this ball. Even seeing if you could come to this dinner or this ball in the future or visit. You were making friends outside of your small circle. Friends who wanted you to be with them.
Though you found that since the king had danced with you, you got attention from several other men. And there were more dances you had with them. They were handsome and some were lovely dancers in all. Though one gentleman with scruffy red hair and boyish freckles seemed stiff as a board as you danced with him.
“What is it, my lord?” you asked.
“His grace, the king, is staring-” he whispered.
“He watches everything that goes on,” you dismissed as you took and retook hands in the dance.
“Not at me. He’s stared at you the entire night,” he grumbled.
As your eyes flashed, you saw it was true. Henry’s eyes were on you. Floating up to meet yours again. Recatching your breath, you made yourself focus again on the dance until it ended.
As soon it ended, the king approached you.
“May I have another dance, my lady?” he asked.
After you accepted, he did not hesitate to lead you on the floor. This time, not a single word passed. You felt his eyes, and noticed his touch more. You felt very warm all over all of a sudden.  His dancing was better, no counts or steps missed at all. You had to catch your breath from his quiet intensity. Before you knew it, it ended.
The king allowed the party to go on, but asked to speak to you in private. Jane was there to chaperone in the back. Her eyes big as you knew it was everything in her not to say or react to something. She merely folded her hands and watched in awe and suppressed laughter.
“I know you…we met before, Lady Y/L/N” he said.
“We have, my lord.”
“And you truly did not have a cloak at all, my lady?” he asked, noticing your fine gown.
“If I may be honest…it was destroyed by someone in an act of cruelty,” you replied.
His brow furrowed a little in response.
“But I am grateful his majesty was generous to give me his, I am,” you assured him.
“You are…and you live with this cruel person?”
You let out a slight sigh.
“I only wish I could…I could be like you in your wars and fight as you do with France. I’m not a brave person, your grace.” you replied.
His blue eyes softened.
“I wish it hadn’t happened to you. You do not deserve it."
“She would disagree,” you mused.
“No! You are a good lady-you have been nothing but the sweetest maid I have met, even that morning!” he cried.
You felt yourself get a little dizzy at his words. He even blushed, then he looked at you.
“ Perhaps, like my dancing, you may practice being brave.”
“I…I believe I could, my lord,” you replied.
He offered his hand again. How lovely the garden looked with the snow, cooling you from all the exercise with dancing. Already it was late-the ball was winding down.
“I enjoyed my time with you, my lady Y/L/N.”
“As have I, my lord…”
There was the pealing of a bell. The time was winding down. A servant went up and whispered to Jane. She hurried up.
“Our carriage is about to leave, my lady,” she said.
She turned back to the corner, watching the party guests begin to leave. But…Henry’s hand in yours…nothing ever felt so…so right. You hadn’t the heart to flee him. Not with the sad look on his face.
“The Y/L/N family…that is a house that is of good repute, but small. Where is your father, my lady? Is he here tonight?” he asked.
You only eyed back at the vanishing crowd. “He…he is not here,” you finally answered.
You felt emotions bubbling in you. He let go and you began to increase your steps from him. But then he grabbed your hand and you turned.
“My lord!” you cried.
“Please, tell me one thing- where can I call on you? Invite you? Find you? See you again?” he asked, almost pleading.
The look in his eyes was almost heartbreaking. Though Jane was getting huffy and impatient, you went up to him, your voice a whisper.
“I live in the Brentford Manor, with the Lord and Lady there.” you replied.
His jaw hung a little loose. Then his hand let you go. They both hung in the air until they fell.
“I shall see you anon then, my lady.”
“I shall see you anon then, my lord.”
With that, you left, picking up your skirts to hurry to the carriage.
As soon as  you got into the carriage with Jane and closed the door, she laughed  and applauded.
“Not one but two dances with the king?! Oh fie! How incredible! And you met him already?!”
The carriage jerked into motion as it headed back to the manor. Breathlessly, you explained everything to her.
“Am I in danger?” you asked.
“In danger of making him fall for you! But at least one day you’ll have the most incredible story to tell your children! How glad I am it all worked!” she laughed.
When you returned at the ungodly hour, you hurried to her room and switched clothes. Yet your head was still ringing and your heart beating fast, your mind and body still reeling until it could shut down for a little sleep. You wished you could write it all down- of your one night where you danced with the king.
❛ ━━━━━━・❪ ❁ ❫ ・━━━━━━ ❜
It was four days since Twelfth Night and the Tenth day of the new year.  You had to content yourself with your life as a servant. The Lord and Lady were of a milder temper. As far as they knew, Jane introduced herself and curtsied before the king and that was it.
That morning, you were serving their breakfast. You cut the bread into slices and brought it up to the table to the family. They placed it down, the knife still on there with the other cutlery.
There was a knock. Heads turned. A servant ran over in.. Red cheeked and breathless, his voice a high cry.
“His Majesty, the king, is here!” he yelled.
There was half a scream and Lady Jane nearly dropped her plate out of her hands. There was a flutter like no other, making sure all was clean and presentable.
“He’s here for you- I know it! He’s here for you!” cried the Lady Brentford.
She began  pinching her daughters cheeks to make them redder and prettier in her eyes and fussing and whispering. One heard the marching of boots. Your own heart beat harder than it ever had and you shook as you tried with the other servants to dress the place up.
Finally, a servant announced his presence and all stood up. In, sure enough, walked King Henry in his beautiful red leathers and his crown. Your breath stopped as you noticed a little bouquet of flowers in his hands.
All bowed and curtsied respectfully, then returned to await what he would say.
Henry took off his crown and handed it to a servant. Then he looked around the crowd. You didn’t know if you wanted to shrink or run or both.
“I am here for the Lady Y/L/N. Does she reside here?” he asked.
Their lips curled. They gasped.
“Her-her??” Lady Brentford cried.
The Lord Brentford turned her head to you, his nose flaring. His hands reaching forward, ready to grab you, drag you by the ear to be beaten, box an answer out of you.
“What have you done with the king, you little slut?!”
There was a shift in that second, some of Henry’s guards, even Henry himself was ready to intervene.
Acting quickly, quicker than you ever had, You reached for the table and got the knife, pointing it to Lord Brentford.
“Do not lay a hand on me or you won’t have one!” you rebuked.
Henry stepped forward, his voice angry.
“Lord Brentford, Are you going to deny the King an answer to his question?” he asked.
Heads turned over to you. Jane was smiling seeing the knife still in your hand. Then the Lord Brentford relented and gestured to you.
“She lives here, your majesty.”
Setting the knife back down on the table, you were gestured to step forward and curtsy. He looked at you in your servant's clothes which made your stomach twist in shame. But you held your own ground, poised with folded hands and kept your eyes up at him.
“May I have a word with her in private, Lord Brentford?” he asked.
They all bowed and relented- his servants to accompany you.
He stepped forth and seemed to blush as he handed you the flowers.
“These are for you, my lady” he said.
“They’re beautiful, thank you,” you replied. You took the bouquet in your hands, feeling it’s sweet scent.
His hands free, you saw him clench and unclench his fists nervously.
“Fair lady-I do not know how to say this. I’m not good with words, or speaking with women…” he began.
That itself made you smile.
“Lady Y/L/N, I am a king…and I am a man too. And I speak to you as one now. Should you refuse, I shall never bother you again. But if you shall, would you allow a hardened soldier to speak of tenderness and affection? To spend time to know this lady and plead his cause to her heart? I offer my friendship at least. At most, as your suitor. Only if you shall have me, Harry of England, as yours. To pursue you, ask for you, care for you. To court you, not as king and subject, but as a man and a woman, only if you accept me. What say you, dearest, fairest lady?”
You brimmed with joy. You felt a free hand clutch your chest, wondering if this was even real. But you knew who was the one in fine leather and who was the one in simple cloth.
“My lord, I must tell you something…”
He nodded, listening. You took in a breath and began.
“I am the Lady Y/L/N. My parents died and their fortune dwindled. Leaving me with nothing but the title and what dignity we had left. As you can see, the house of Brentford took me in. But other than the kindness shown by their daughter, the Lord and Lady…do not consider me family. They have made me a servant here and I have worked as one since I was very young. If you are willing to court a lady with nothing but an empty title and a heart full of affection for you, you may. If not, I shall let you go. I shall not begrudge or ask you to change your ways. I understand them. I have nothing to offer to you that you may benefit- no lands, no armies, no alliances, and most of all, no dowry.”
“My lady, you yourself are a dowry,” Henry replied.
A gasp escaped you and you felt everything inside you become warm.
He offered your hand. And you placed yours in it.
“Then…I Accept you as my suitor, my lord.” you said.
He smiled even wider, putting his other hand over yours.
“We have a special dinner prepared in the palace. Would you dine with me?” he asked.
“I shall be glad to…I only ask one thing and one thing in turn in our courtship. This and nothing else…I only ask for shelter. For an escape from this place. To stay in a different home far from Lord and Lady Brentford. You saw what happened-this has been my life for many long years. I want to leave this place, to no longer be under their power. But give only the dearest blessing to their daughter, the lady Jane, and their servants, for without their help the years would have been unbearable…and we would not have crossed paths again. If you cannot grant me shelter from the Lord and Lady, then protection from them,” you requested.
He clutched your hands a little tighter, almost shaking them.
“I shall my lady, you need not be afraid of the Lord and Lady anymore. I will fulfill your wish…and you shall be safe. I shall do everything in my power…may I kiss your hand?”
“Yes.”
He took your hand and kissed it gently, and sweetly. His goatee tickling a little of your skin and his lips soft.
He asked his servants to gather your things, quickly. Much to the astonishment of the whole house. But none dare resist the orders of the king.
“You shall stay as a guest of the palace until a family, a new one, may take you in. I promise, there are plenty who shall not treat you as they have,” he vowed.
He looked at you with a smile. You then went to your room and wrapped the warm red cloak over you. Then, right before the door, stood the family. You embraced each servant as they congratulated you. Then you went to you hugged Jane with a smile.
“Oh, I feel like I am abandoning you!” you sighed.
“Oh no! Do not fret! I can handle my parents, I will not let my them break me. I will fight them every step of the way. Just write to me often, promise.”
“This wouldn’t have happened without you, I am forever in your debt, Jane.” you replied.
“You already helped heal my leg back then. Then your friendship is the only credit I shall ask for.” she replied.
You hugged again as a goodbye.
You then turned to the Lord and Lady Brentford. They did not speak, but you did.
“I shall never forget your cruelty. Your harshness. I held my tongue to survive-but now I can speak. I do not love either of you. I dislike you both more than any person in the world. If anyone asks me of you, I shall tell them everything you said and did to me, for it is the truth. Of the names you called me, the things of mine you destroyed, and of the times you beat me and broke me. And do not think, should the day ever come that God makes me queen, that you shall receive any help from me. I shall never step foot in this place again or call on you. From this day on, I do not know who either of you are. You are both cruel, heartless, selfish miscreants. May you answer to God and only He may show you any mercy He deigns you both to deserve. You shall have none from me.”
King Henry offered you his arm and you took it. How warm it felt-you could feel his muscles beneath his leathers, but how smooth it was and how pleasant he even smelled!
“Now…are you ready my lady?” he asked.
You only looked back at the place, and the people standing there. Then back at the handsome, kind face of your regal suitor.
“I am, my most gracious Lord.”
He walked you to outside the door where the carriage awaited. The snow falling gently, blanketing the world in soft, white blankets.
“When we are alone…would you call me Harry? Henry perhaps, too,” he replied.
“Yes, Henry,” you replied.
He blushed a little to hear his name. He were helped into the carriage next to him.
Henry smiled at you kindly as he sat next to you.
“Thank you. For everything” you wished him.
 “Of course, Y/F/N.”
You could have melted how he said your first name. He then held up your hand again and gave it another peck from his lips.
“My, you like to hold and kiss my hand, Henry!” you teased.
“If only it wasn’t so easy to hold and dear to kiss!” he replied with a smile.
Your eyes forward, not daring to look back. Only forward as the carriage moved away. One part of your life ending and another beginning. To live a new life from now on.
A life where you were finally loved.

All alone... Once again
Type: Drabble
(Plotting: Infinity war)
Summary: You let go Loki to save him and Thor
Tumblr media
Loki's POV-
I look at her with tears in my eyes. She is held by the morons of Thanos.
"You have to go Loki. Thor needs you. " She says with tears flowing from her eyes.
"B-But I need you Y/N." I reply
"It's okay Loki. I promise you, I will come back." She tries to convince me but it doesn't work.
"No, I can't leave you here."
"Please understand Loki."
"No, Y/N don't leave me please." I say holding back my tears.
"I will come back... just gor you Loki." And vanished. Gone. It felt like my heart was ripped out.
I fall on my knees all alone...
Once again.

A/N: Your responses have seasoned my month with joy. I cannot thank you all enough.
Created for the 14 Days of Valentines community project, hosted by @muddyorbsblr.
Series masterlist
Pairing: Loki x fem!reader
Includes: Fluff, drinking
Summary: You have a date with mischief
Tumblr media
You pace before Wanda. She sits, legs crossed on your bed with half your wardrobe strewn around her. "Are you sure this is the one?" you ask, holding up a velvet dress. "It's not too presumptuous?"
"I'm sure he's the last person you have to worry about that with," she titters, shifting to help put away the other options.
You roll your eyes. "I mean presumptuous about where he's taking me. I don't want to look like I expect caviar just because he's royalty."
"Breathe," she enunciates. "First of all, the guy wears gold armor, which is entirely impractical by the way.
"Besides, you should've seen him today. He was questioning Stark about where to take you. I even heard him ask 'Brother, if I wear this tie instead, am I still "dressing like a witch?"' He wants you to expect caviar. And champagne for that matter."
"Ok," your shoulders relax a bit. He's nervous too. Unexplainable, but it's endearing all the same.
Wanda zips you into the dress, its fabric a forest at dusk. "And you should wear the black thigh-highs. They'll keep you warm and show some leg when you walk."
"What would I do without you?" you give her a hug and hear the knock.
"Wait for another sex god to land in your lap," she answers with raised eyebrows.
"Wanda," you hiss as you go to get the door.
The trip to Hudson Yards takes a minute at most. Greetings exchanged, he asks, "Do you trust me?"
"Yes," tumbles out, to your surprise as well as his. He pulls you tight against his chest, your knees buckling at the heat of him. A flash of green, the scent of snow, and you land gracefully before Peak restaurant's host station.
The man at the head of the line shoots Loki an angry look before stepping back apologetically. A young woman glances up from her seating chart and asks for your reservation.
"Laufeyson," he replies smoothly.
As she leads you to a window seat you ask, "How on earth did you get us a window reservation in a day? Was it..." you gesture.
"Magic?" he smirks. "Quite unnecessary, darling. My silver tongue is more than enough to persuade most ears." The twitch beneath your skirts concurs.
The first course is spent in awe. Sipping mulled wine between bites, you can't decide which view is better, the metropolis below you or the god across the table.
Over your entree he asks which places in the city are your favorite, if you've ventured Upstate, and about the novel you're reading. Hesitantly, he tells you his first year with the Avengers was mandated by an extradition agreement. After completing his sentence, he chose to remain in New York, describing the 3,000-lightyear move as the "gift that keeps on giving."
By dessert you're nearing desperation, completely enthralled. The way his lips encase that spoon, his hums of pleasure with each bite of crème brûlée. 'What must it feel like to be that custard?'
The meal complete, Loki helps you with your coat. "As much as I hate to cover such a breathtaking dress, we can't have you getting cold." When he's satisfied with your ensemble, he leads you out to The Edge.
One hundred stories glow beyond the icy barriers. Loki removes a glove, his hand turning cerulean as raised markings snake along the skin. He presses the tips of his fingers to the glass, absorbing the frost to reveal the city.
You encase his other hand in a death grip. "Darling," his palm warms your cheek, turning your face to him. "I would never allow harm to touch you." His eyes speak sincerity, and he bends to seal the vow.
His lips are satin, their need barely harnessed as they press against your own. Your mouth submits, opening at the caress of his tongue. The taste of cinnamon further ignites your core, melting you into him.
Your back hits the glass, chest heaving against him. You wind your fingers through his raven hair, eliciting a sinful gasp as you grip his locks. An involuntary thrust betrays his desire, ridged and obvious, despite your clothes.
His hand grasps your sides, straining between ingrained decorum and the impulse to explore your curves. He drags himself up for breath, eyes molten lust, and steadies his resolve. "I must take you home. I would be abashed to get overly familiar."
A/N: Thank you for reading! I love every one of you.

Right so I can’t reblog the main thread to ask this because it’s too spicy for my lil account BUT regarding the three different ‘parts’ do we know if this is a design that Disney has to approve of?? Does Tom know about this??? I have so many questions about who is involved/aware in the making of this.
WHOSE PARTS IS IT MODELLED FROM??
Also the boots are just the sexiest thing I have ever seen in my life. I’m weirdly into the boots. Just me?
I have a large collection of Loki stuff and my partner is chill about it and I tell guests that “Oh I just really relate to them.” but I’m not sure if I would get away with that excuse if I bought this one. Do you reckon your partner would be chill about it? I’m looking for any way to justify it.
Also are you gonna buy it? Do they do payment plans? So so many questions.
Sorry for the incoherent rambling but I’m sure you understand.
I meant to reply to this earlier and got distracted 😂by the way, important information... The cape moves back to reveal his 🍆
Does Disney have to approve?
I seriously doubt that 🤣The figurine is from Singapore and I'm sure that there is some kind of legal loophole involved. Which I think we can all be thankful for. Break the system!
The Boots
Are super sexy. The detail is just absolutely unbelievable. @muddyorbsblr shared pictures of the removable cocks with me and let me say friends the detail extends far beyond the boots. VEINS, Y'ALL. 😂🤣
Would Husband be Cool about it?
I mean he's pretty chill about most things but I think a figuring depicting a ridiculously hot, hard and spurting Lokes may be a bridge too far. 🤣🤣😂 Somehow I think his removable phalluses would mysteriously go missing piece by piece flushed down the loo.
Will I buy it?
It's days like this I'm thankful I don't drink because I would absolutely drunk purchase this at 2am. I really really want to, but I feel that the pictures will have to suffice. Which is fine.
Payment Plan.
You can pay a deposit and then the rest later 😂
