Rode in @westbraggcreek this evening and I didn't get any shots of the ride. It was perfect #fatbike conditions. Sadly, these pictures kind of suck. I know this but there is something more here... The significance of tonight is I read on @trainingpeaks a training article that recommended to ride with people who are faster than you. Tonight I rode with some @spinsistersmtb that are insanely fast, talented and incredible riders. In fact my #mtbgoals for 2018 included riding with them. I pushed myself hard and it blew my mind. I had no idea how much I can do when I push my hardest. Another thing is I rode at night in Bragg and that was something I was afraid of and it was one of the most magical experiences of my life. The second shot of my heart rate is fascinating, the peaks and valleys with all the heart problems I've had this year I'm actually excited to see the work that it did to push me through that ride. If I could cuddle it I would right now because it is so easy to forget what my heart is doing under each pedal stroke. The full mechanics of what our bodies do each day to accommodate us is endlessly fascinating. The last pic of the food may not look like much but I struggle to allow myself to eat food. It's not easy for me to allow myself near the stove. Not only did I cook, I cooked for myself for the first time in a long time and I am eating without a head full of shame. So without epic photos I have something else.... Riding with Goddesses, Slaying Dragons, witnessing a #fullmoon so bright it lights up the forest, facing fear and discovering something I thought impossible, possible. (at Bragg Creek)
