Kailas is the most mysterious mountain in Tibet. First, "it defies conquest," and second, there is a version that says Kailas is a pyramid that holds the bodies of all the races that exist on Earth. Several centuries ago it was used by Hindus ("the house of Shiva.), Buddhists,("residence of the Buddha)
Kailas is a Sanskrit word, meaning "crystal." Used to describe the limitless peace and bliss inside a yogi, attaining kailas is one of the goals of a yoga and meditation practice.
Mt Kailash is the center of a worldwide system that connects mystical sites and energy sites from around the world, including the Pyramids of Egypt, the Pyramids of Mexico, Easter Island, Stonehenge, and the North Pole… which constitute the global energy grid system.
They have discovered that the top of Mt. Kailash is actually a man-made vacuum pyramid. It is surrounded by more than 100 other small pyramids. According to preliminary estimates, the direct height of the pyramid complex is between 100 and 1,800 meters, while the Egyptian pyramid is only 146 meters. If true, it would be larger than any known pyramid today.

Mt Kailash and Mansarovar Tour is a pilgrimage. Both Mt. Kailash and Manasarovar are considered pilgrimage sites in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. According to Hindu and Buddhist Mythology, this is the mountain where God Shiva resides. The lake is located near Mansarovar Lake. God Shiva would sit for his perpetual meditation on this mountain with his wife Parvati. This mountain also stands for power and prosperity. Many pilgrims believe that the pilgrimage on foot around Mt. Kailash brings good fortune in life. The distance around Mt. Kailash is 52 km. And the people believe that they have to accomplish this pilgrimage in one day which is sometimes challenging. The stairways in this mountain lead people to the gate of Heaven. Because of inconveniences and altitude sickness, people find it hard to complete this journey in a single day.
Manasarovar is a high freshwater lake fed by glaciers from Mt. Kailash. This lake is considered to be the first lake created by God Brahma. Hindus and Buddhists believe that if people have a chance to drink water or wash their bodies with the water from this lake, they will cleanse all sins of their life and they will go to heaven. This lake is also a personification of purity, wisdom, and knowledge. Buddhists also claim that lord Buddha sat for meditation near this lake and got enlightened.
Mt. Kailash and Manasoravara Tour is connected by both Kathmandu and Lhasa. If we choose to fly from Kathmandu, we can get a flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa and then we have a drive to Mt. Kailsah. If we choose to drive from Kathmandu to Lhasa, that is also possible.
So, this tour is purely a pilgrimage tour to two holy sites located in Tibet. They carry great religious and cultural significance.

This is a rough copy of a subsection of a much larger map hanging in the Archives in Hive Iacon, focusing in on Iacon and their frequent trading partners.
This map can be broken into five major areas: - the southernmost area of the High Woods, beginning where Metroplex Ridge sits and going north - the Low Woods, a transitory space around Caminus to the lake fed by the rapids from Velocitron that becomes the Deep Grass - the Deep Grass (uncertain meaning) - the Tarnish Mountains - the northern span of the Kaoni Desert
Of note is Shockwave's territory marked out in purple on the shoreline as a warning not to trespass.
Iacon must often trade with their neighboring Hives and regional powers for goods they cannot produce themselves, such as fabrics and certain paints/dyes (Caminus), metals and gems (Velocitron), and high quality glassware and ceramics (Vos).
Stanitz-- spelling uncertain-- is frequented by some of the nomads that live and travel within and around the Kaoni Desert, and thus a good gateway to the area. They may occasionally have goods from the Kaoni Market to barter for. Stanitz is otherwise known for some form of lizard ranching.
The tallest mountain in the Tarnish Mountains is Darkmount, which is comparable to Mt. Kailash on Earth at an elevation of roughly 6,600 m. The mountains have significant caverns and cave structures within, which used to be the stronghold of the Swarm.

Why is Mount Kailash a part of China?: Understanding How Mount Kailash Ended up in Chinese Territory
Tumblr media
Why is Mount Kailash a part of China?
Mount Kailash is one of the holiest places in the world for Hindus. It is the abode of Lord Shiva and it is said that visiting Mount Kailash is enough to wash away all the sins of even previous births.
A lot of the devotees have the question Where is Mount Kailash located?, the answer to Kailash Parvat Location is that Kailash Parvat is not exactly a part of China but Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar Lake is situated in Tibet, which is under the administrative rule of China.
The truth is that Mount of Kailash and Lake Mansarovar, Tibet were never a part of India. In the past few centuries too, it was never a part of any major Indian empire. Kailash was part of Nepal a long time back and was ruled by a Nepali King. It was the Nepali king who gifted the Kailash area to a Tibetan King as dowry for his daughter’s marriage and then it became a part of Tibet.
After that, it has always been Tibetan territory and when India got independence in 1947, it was still the case.
India has never had a problem with Tibet. We also had strong cultural and trade ties with Tibet for centuries and many Tibetan scholars came to India to study in its famed universities. But when the Red Army of China annexed Tibet in the 1950s, India stood mutely and perhaps that was a diplomatic blunder of considerable proportions. However, thousands of Indian Hindu pilgrims go on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra every year in peace and harmony.
Significance of Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar, Tibet.
The Hindu religion puts a lot of reverence on Lord Shiva, whom it considers to be the powerful, the strong and the willful. Hindus believe that Lord Shiva resides in Mount Kailash in a state of meditation. He lives there along with his divine consort, Parvati. Mount Kailash is considered to be the Shiva Temple in China.
It is considered that Lake Mansarovar tibet first originated in the mind of Lord Brahma, after which it came into physical existence. The Manasarovar Lake is said to be a place where Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva swim as swans during ‘Brahma Muhurta’ or the period of time just before dawn. This is a time period which is considered extremely auspicious in Hindu tradition.
If a devotee can do a ‘parikrama’ of Mount Kailash and take a dip in the holy waters of Lake Mansarovar Tibet, it is believed that all the sins he committed in his past 100 lives will be absolved and he will be a new man.
Going on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
Most Hindus wish to go on the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra at least once in their lifetimes considering how highly revered it is. Devotees from all over the world visit this Shiva temple in China and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. If you are interested in knowing the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra cost, then you will be happy to know that different price points are available to suit the demands of every pocket.
Here are a few things to know about it
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra cost: The Yatra can be done via 3 to 4 routes including 2 routes that are conducted by the Ministry of External Affairs. The 2 routes conducted by the government will cost you between Rs 1,80,00 and Rs 2,50,00. There are 3 other routes available that are conducted by private tour operators, and they are either done via Lhasa, or via Kyirong border.
Trekking distance: How much trekking one has to do while on a trip is something a lot of people are worried about. Well, the Lipulekh pass route will have you trek approximately 200 km and will cost around Rs 1,80,000. The Nathu La pass route has only 40 km trekking and the rest of the journey is done by train or bus. It costs around Rs 2,50,000. Both of these routes have a selection procedure that is done by lucky draw and there will be a stringent medical check-up as well. On the other hand, if you were to choose a private tour operator such as Trip To Temples, the trekking distance will be incomparable. The Nepal route is the one that is far more convenient for pilgrims. There is a helicopter route that starts from Lucknow and takes between 5 and 11 days. The overland route from Kathmandu will take around 14 days. If time and convenience is the top-post priority, then the Nepal route is the best choice. The Nepal route is cost effective too. There is no lucky draw and since lesser trekking is involved, the medical procedure is lenient.
Best time to go: The best time to go on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is between the months of May and September.
Age restrictions: This is not a pilgrimage for small children. If the Nepal route is considered, people between the ages of 10 and 70 only are allowed to go; while the GOI route only takes travelers between the ages of 18 and 70 years considering the hazardousness of the destination.
Visa requirement: As Mount Kailash is under the administrative authority of China, one will need a passport and Visa to travel there. It is, however, a Group Staple / VISA. First, a permit gets issued and then VISA is applied for. Nepal does stamping on the passport when the yatra crosses through its borders to China.
Safety issues are a priority for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
Since the government route is longer and involves extra days and physical effort, there is a strict medical procedure done before one is allowed to go. In fact, a pilgrim can be sent back from any point during the Kailash Yatra if a medical condition arises.
However, if you are going by the Nepal route, then the private tour operator follows the acclimatization procedure and plans the Manasarovar Yatra accordingly so that pilgrims get adjusted to the high altitudes. A good part of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra gets done by helicopter and that further minimizes the medical risks.
In 2017, China refused the entry of 47 Indian pilgrims to the area who wanted to travel through the Nathu-la pass in Sikkim. The inclement weather and the bad road conditions were the reasons given for the denial of entry. As the trek is not an easy one, the safety and security of the pilgrims should be the first priority for government officials on both sides. Thousands of pilgrims brave the mountainous terrain every year to offer their respects to the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati and get blessings in return.
If you are planning to go on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, it is a good idea to follow all government guidelines for safety and security purposes. Good-quality tennis shoes, a backpack and a walking stick are must-have items to carry. This is truly the journey of a lifetime, and will build memories that one can cherish all life.

How can I grow more spiritual (reading a book, mantra chanting yoga, or what)?
There is an interesting story in the ‘Shiva Purana’ that will put things about spirituality in perspective for you. There are different versions to it that seek to address the demerits of pride and greed but let’s just go with this one to elucidate the main point of the question.
Once, the big bellied god of wealth, ‘Kubera’ was visiting Mt. Kailash.
He saw ‘Ganesha’, the elephant headed big bellied god of wisdom and discernment.
Upon seeing him living among the ‘Shiva gana’ in the icy environments of Mt. Kailash where nothing grows, he wondered how ‘Shiva’ was able to keep his son well fed.
So he invited ‘Ganesha’ to the far North (Kubera’s abode) and encouraged him to take a seat and eat all that he wanted.
‘Ganesha’ began by eating all of the fruits served, then all of the vegetables curries and delicacies et all in the main course. Then he ate all of the breads, curd and yoghurt dishes, all of the sweets and didn’t stop but kept going!
Trying to avoid embarrassment of having invited such a high profile guest and then falling short in feeding him, ‘Kubera’ mobilized as many people as were needed to keep the food coming.
This went on and on until ‘Kubera’ had exhausted all of his resources and wealth!
Finally he asked ‘Ganesha’ how in the world he was able to maintain and satisfy such an insatiable hunger?
‘Ganesha’ laughed and explained:
You see, you tried to satisfy my hunger with food.
There isn’t enough food in the world to satisfy one’s hunger.
Invariably you need to learn how to satisfy the hunger itself without looking outwards into the world to ‘feed’ it.
This is what we do on Mt. Kailash. We work on pacifying and subduing the need to ‘feed’ to satisfy our hunger.
When you learn to do that, you need very little to sustain you.
So my friend, that is where you start the journey of spirituality.
You start by reducing the need to ‘feed’ your senses with everything in the world that is available to you.
Quite often we don’t have things because we need them but we need things because we have them.
Reading books, chanting ‘mantras’ and practicing ‘yoga’ etc. are just tools meant to aid the process of spiritual evolution.
The path to spiritual growth itself lies in gradually reducing our reliance on the pleasures of the world to feed our senses for the sake of joy.
That joy needs to be discovered and cultivated within.
That’s the key.
Here are 4 things you can do as a beginner on the path of spiritual growth, to supplement the process:
The first thing and the most critical thing you need to learn to do in today’s times is to take a break from technology for at least 2 hours a day.
Put your phone on silent, take off your smartwatch, no tv, no laptop, no AC no fans, no lights.
I know it sounds extreme but trust me, you will immediately realize the massive interference these electronic items create on our mind’s ability to be at ‘peace’ with itself.
Besides, you can spend these 2 hours outside the home exercising or something.
This brings us to the second point: spend more time in nature.
Spend time with animals, plants, trees, near a water body or a garden/ even fields or plantations.
There is a natural stabilizing effect that interaction with nature brings to your mind and soul.
It is important to build, maintain and enhance this connection to grow spiritually.
Devote one day of the week to abstinence from alcohol, sex and any kind of indulgences you’re used to.
Keep this day completely ‘saatvic’.
Even caffeine/ sugar/ processed food of any kind.
Fasting would be a good idea on this day.
You don’t have to go on a complete fast, a ‘fruit fast’ is enough in the beginning.
This will not only help you develop self control and cause a spike in your ‘growth hormone’, it will help you understand how much of the addictions we have created for ourselves are utterly useless.. they serve no purpose.. and are worthless entanglements in the illusive nature of the world.
Take solitary retreats from time to time.
Being comfortable with solitude is perhaps the most important step in spiritual growth.
If you cannot be comfortable being just by yourself, in nature, without a ‘fear of missing out’, you cannot grow spiritually.
That’s because the spiritual process is a process of simplification.
Do these things for a month then let’s talk.
‘Mantra’ chanting, Meditation, ‘Saadhna’ etc. all come at a later stage but the points above highlight where you must begin.
