Technically, the victim suffers from CPTSD & abuse related illnesses. However, those aren’t necessarily the best words to use as Münchausen is such a different type of abuse. But I’m getting off topic rn lol

But yeah, No, you wouldn’t say victim of depression cause that’s not the same thing as a victim of msbp, you soggy sandwich

So, Gypsy Rose is getting out in a few months. So a lot of communities i'm in on other platforms are talking about her. A lot of articles are being published. I basically cannot escape talk about msbp rn.

& Everytime i read some 'opinion'/'fact' post about how Gypsy 'manipulated' her boyfriend into killing her mother; it hurts just a lil more. Like, it's so clear no one has actually done the research on the case, or bothered to listen to his interviews because dude really ain't that great. there's too much i don't wanna talk about rn but like. he wanted to kill someone, gypsy was just his excuse.

but specifically it hurts a lot because like, there's this weird thing now where all survivors of msbp are like hidden murderers, and we aren't ???? and its become a thing where now msbp is overly labeled onto cases where it isn't msbp (such as maya uhhh maya ka-something, i cant remember) because people are afraid of what the victims might do to get out. and like, it's causing actual victims of msbp to not be believed, and parents with actual sick kids are afraid to get help.

and it just sucks, ya know? it just sucks.

anyway, i lowkey have a count down of how many days until gypsy rose gets out of prison. I identify with that girl on so many levels, and i won't lie, she's like a lowkey inspiration. The work she's doing for victims of abuse, the way she talks about her abuse, etc. And oh my god, when she talks about her mother I feel it in my soul, because sameee girlllll sameeeee

anyway msbp is really interesting objectively, and as a survivor it's wild to me to see what's happening and basically i just feel weirdly like. invisible but also so so seen. but like, realizing that i'm just going through my daily life and yet all that shit happened to me, and gypsy is out there with her life about to be returned to a normal she never knew, and yet other people are just like. walking their dogs and shit.

i'm just...in a weird liminal space in my own mental state.

Respect. Idk if "like" is the right way of putting it but I find the munchausen/msbp women more psychologically compelling. Can't look away. These types (particularly the low-level munchies) seem to be getting so increasingly common that it's just a relief to see people calling it what it is. Also can't look away from the Margaret Palermo (Venus Angelic's mom) saga. I guess she is similar to msbp moms in a way. And on a related note, I'm very into reading testimonials by zero-self-awareness parents with estranged kids. Lol.

A lot of this is a tad morbid (I left out my more morbid lolcow interests tbh) but I love the thorough deep-dives into these people's lives and psyches provided by the farmers, especially those who are in the medical field in some way and can give real insight– firsthand experience with these types and the professional protocol required is fascinating. I've always been curious about the broader impact these people have on those who are employed to deal with them.......... jobs is life

The Hatzgang Mom Jaune AU is back! XD

Okay... the reason why Jaune adopts them is exacly the reason, why it's not exacly a "wholesome" AU (even if she loves them all as her own children)... is because, originally, they didn't even need to be "adopted" at all. Roy and Robert would've lived same lives as in canon...

But by adoption, I meant that Jaune kidnapped them when they were really young (still thinking when it would happen, but currently settled on anywhere between 0-4 years).

As of on why she did it... well, Jaune hated Carmen and she thought that she (Jaune) would be a way better parent to Roy than Carmen would ever be (maybe adding Roy's uncle into equation as well, but still haven't decided). While Robert... well, I don't know about him, but maybe it'll be similar to Susie and Pump's parents. If I decide to go to that route... maybe I'd even add that Jaune would go so far as staging the parents' deaths, so nobody would on her tail and she could happily keep her "sons" to herself.

But... yeah-. Jaune essentially kidnapped two little boys and presented it as if she "adopted" them at early points of their lives. (Aaron might be involved into it as well or not... but I don't know for now.)

My brain kinda pictures it similarly to movie "Run" (2020), but without Jaune having the MSBP. So... yeah. That's why that AU isn't so wholesome, even if on paper it has all the ingredients to be that.

i keep denying that i was a target of munchausen’s syndome by proxy because 1) i actually did have undiagnosed autism and adhd and stuff so the bipolar disorder and oppositional defiant disorder and childhood borderline pd (which apparently isnt an “ethical” or like medically valid dx????) stuff was just a misdiagnosis not a diagnosis applied to a mentally healthy child and 2) it makes the abuser sound So Bad but im rereading this post and im like god. this is exactly the trauma that someone with psychiatric msbp has about psychiatry huh like. word for word isnt it.

i was put in therapy from age 4 to age 18 by my mom, and then from age 18 to age 23 i went to two different therapists on my own voluntarily who both concluded that i had ptsd from being abused by both parents, and my mom was using the child psychiatric system and diagnosis shopping to make sure that received several pediatric diagnoses which have since been thrown out in order to make sure that when i sought help about the abuse she could have papers from doctors to use to legally discredit my claims. because of the nature of the environment she was raised in as well as her own mental illness i truly believe this was just instinct for her and not some sinister elaborate master plan or anything.

i only quit therapy because my last therapist changed practices and didn’t take my insurance.

so i’ve been out of therapy for about a year and im realizing that when im not in therapy it feels like im actually living my life. instead of constantly pathologizing and microscoping every single emotion i have, positive or negative, and thinking “how do i present this in therapy this week.” instead of every conflict me constantly thinking, “okay how do i frame this every time i retell it so that it’s as biased against me and toward the other person as possible, in order to reflect the True Reality that everyone else can perceive with their senses and judgment but i was born unable to because i am Broken,” i just, like, have reactions to stimuli. i just like feel my own emotions and im becoming able to label my own emotions if that makes sense.

i feel like my emotions are my own to feel and that my life is fairly normal more or less instead of Sick and like… that’s gotta be bad, right? i still can’t work on myself and i still have so many unhealthy coping mechanisms. it feels like being allergic to water.

i personally think the worst type of carer with msbp? the ones that do it for attention, but don’t actually take care of their victim, like..they just want the attention and don’t care if their kid dies or eats or anything

hey childrens hospital??? Multiple times you have helped carers get away with this bs and eveN WHEN THE CHILDREN HAVE DIRECTLY TOLD U “im not sick” YOU STILL GIVE THEM MEDICATION AND SHIT ANYWAY????? AND YOU NEVER FUCKING REPORT IT AND JESUS CHRIST HOW MANY MORE KIDS ARE YOU GONNA ALLOW TO BE TRAUMATIZED??? what you do is so important, but you need to do better at listening to the children and actually consider that the carer isn’t always right

Also!! Gypsy Rose!! is not the fucking poster child for this shit!!! So many sosososososo many times people have been like “oh so you wanna kill your mom?”/”do you have plans to kill her?” LIKE NO I JUST WANT MY MOM TO BE HEALTHY AND TO ACTUALLY LOVE ME BUT  I KNOW THAT AINT GONNA HAPPEN SO PLEASE STOP ASKING ME IF I WANT TO MURDER HER

Parents allowing their kids to be trans isn’t msbp. it just isnt. and actually, as a trans guy who is also a victim of msbp, by saying it is, it feels really fucking invalidating and I can tell you, those two things are very very very very different
