For Halloween me and my friends are going as Ms.Frizzle, The Man In The Yellow Hat From Curious George, Dipper Pines, and Frits from Undertale.

As a long time Ms.Frizzle fan and someone who put her as the answer of "who is your role model/what do you want to be when you grow up." And got scolded at for picking a cartoon character.

I like the reboot. Its not perfect a lot of the details as stated above are missing but the show is just as wildly quirky and Fiona is just as delightfully unhinged and chaotic as her older sister with a intentional disregard of child safety with a modern twist-if not more. I swear this woman read every version of OSHA and every book about child safety and went 'I can work around this, the kids MUST LEARN!' Woman definitely spent most of her time away from the non magic world and just came back for the novelty and pursuit of knowledge and experience.

And the kids are still delightfully in their own way. Carlos is still merciless with the puns.

And the field trips are still fucking great.

Fun fact: before Gadgetboy was created, DIC thought about making a show called GadgetGirl. It looked something like this.

Ngl I really like Gadget Girl's design, she looks like someone's crazy wine aunt (which parallels with the OG Gadget being a goofy sweet uncle super well). Real shame the idea got scrapped, oh well.

for some reason Nekodah has been on my mind recently and he's been like. on the back burner for a while because his story didn't Vibe right. Like, powerful paladin dude turned into a plague rat warlock for the concept of cancer while rotting from the inside out is cool. there's stuff there about the loss of his humanity and what not. but it didn't vibe.

Well I figured out the issue and fixed it. Her story is simply served better with a lady helming it.

Nows just the problem of deciding if she's a cis or trans woman. I feel like trans Vibes better with the brood mother/ corpse a parasite laid it's eggs in the muscle tissue of, aspect of Nekodah's story, Nekodah was always a gross out character who's been more about blood vomit and evisceration than like. natural life giving. so her having a womb in there isn't like. the Vibe. like she's not getting pregnant shes polyping while spitting up tumors thatre growing hair.

the issue is if I make her trans she would be the third? fourth? heavily tattooed trans woman in my roster. First one with a big ass sword and a god she's in a love hate situship with though.

In this timeline Danny decided to become a teacher until he takes the crown at age 50. Until then he decides to help teach and raise the next generation with a bit of ghostly knowledge and trips!

He is a great teacher his students love learning with him, and they always go on many field trips on his Ghostly School Bus.

I really love the idea of Danny as a teacher with a side of ghostly shenanigans. Using their School bus for trips to the GZ & being completely safe cuz no one would dare mess with the future king and those under his protection, and if they do well Danny can be quite the mama bear soo... good luck!

Also!

Look me in the eyes and tell me Danny in Ms.Frizzle's style of clothes would not be so cute especially with Cujo as the class pet, maybe Cujo could wear matching clothing.

I’m still alive! Just finished making this dress for a Ms.Frizzle costume :)

The design was a bit of a journey since I couldn’t find the exact pattern I wanted but we got there in the end. This is a combined and modified result of a 1950s skirt pattern and 1950s shirt pattern. I’ll have the shoes and earrings eventually so maybe I’ll post those

I’ll have you know that the wave fabric does not include the fish. I had to individually cut each fish from a separate fabric, hem them, and stitch them onto the dress.
