~Mitsukou Oneshots~

Entry 1 Fluff 💗 -Alive AU -Secret Admirer -In 8th grade (might make into actual fanfic, if this succeeds)

[first day of 8th grade]

Mitsuba sprinted down the hall, narrowly avoiding a few first years before bursting into the classroom. Not like Mitsuba even needed to be rushing in the first place, since class wouldn’t start until 15 minutes later.

It didn’t really matter anyways, he didn’t have any friends to chat with on the way to class, besides, Mitsuba despised it when people stared at him as he entered the room.

Also, Mitsuba enjoyed having some alone time to cool off after dashing through half the school (his locker was conveniently the farthest point possible from all his classes)- just because his favorite color was pink doesn’t mean he wanted a complexion to match.

So you could imagine he was surprised when he saw a boy already sitting near the window.

Mitsuba sighed, and mentally snapped himself into his “nice guy persona”.

“Hi! What’s your name? I don’t believe we’ve met before.” Mitsuba took extra care to make sure his grin looked genuine; and after all, first impressions are the most important.

The boy silently stared at him mouth slightly open, and Mitsuba cursed himself for letting traces of his apparently “off putting personality” leak through.

Mitsuba turned around and chose a seat strategically selected- next to the wall, in the middle. That way, he wouldn’t seem like a teacher’s pet, but he would still be able to see everyone around him.

The boy began settling into his desk, and he dipped to pick up a dropped pencil, Mitsuba noticed a tacky, hella lame earring reading “traffic safety”.

The boy, (whom Mitsuba began to nickname in his head as Hella Lame Earring Boy) turned at the sound of footsteps entering the classroom. Ah, so he already had friends, no wonder why he didn’t introduce himself to Mitsuba.

At this point, most of the desks had filled up, and the bell had rung to get to class.

Unfortunately, Mitsuba’s teacher this year is extremely strict, and wasted no time in assigning a group project. Even more unfortunate, he was pairing them up alphabetically.

“Mitsuba, Minamoto, you two work together.”

For the second time that day, Mitsuba quietly sighed and put on his “nice guy” costume.

Minamoto, which was seemingly Lame Earring Boy’s name, smiled and introduced himself as “Minamoto Kou! Second son of the honorable Minamoto line of exorcists!”. Mitsuba, in turn, forced a grin while mentally wondering how many anime’s this kid has watched.

The first day of school operates on a minimum day schedule [author note: means school ends at noon], so they were only able to arrange when and where to meet up after school to work on the project before the bell rang. (Kou’s house, 3PM).

The rest of the day passed in a blur, and Mitsuba soon set off for the Minamoto residence where he would hopefully get some food. Mitsuba walked home from school, so he didn’t have time to eat and was practically dying of starvation when he got to Minamoto’s.

Mitsuba knocked, and Minamoto welcomed him in, leading them to his bedroom.

“So, Minamoto-kun, what do you want to do our presentation on?”

Mitsuba quickly realized Minamoto was pretty much the opposite of himself, effortlessly capable of lighting up a room while putting a smile on everybody’s face. Mitsuba hated those kinds of people.

You’re telling him he has to work for friends, work for people to just not despise him, and Mr. Sunshine over here doesn’t even have to try?!

Whatever, he’s stuck with Minamoto now, so might as well make the most out of it.

For the most of the 3-ishhours he worked at Minamoto’s house, Mitsuba learned 3 things.

First, Minamoto Kou is way too trusting- I mean, he gave Mitsuba his number without anything confirming Mitsuba won’t use it for anything… suspicious.

Second, Teru Minamoto is the most terrifying/attractive person to walk the face of the earth.

Third, Tiara Minamoto is the most adorable person to walk the face of the earth. (And honestly? Minamoto- the second one- isn’t so bad himself.)

As Mitsuba was walking home, he updated Minamoto’s contact from his number, which he received after Minamoto suggested they have some method to keep in touch, to his name and info.

Just as he shoved his phone back in his pocket, a notification sounded. “Has anybody ever told you your really cute? -Secret Admirer”.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So…did ya like it? My first time writing a oneshot! Im honestly not too happy about how it came out, but to be honest, I only made this post to get rid of my writer’s block. (Don’t really wanna continue this, but if it becomes successful I’ll rework the first chapter to fit with a longer narrative better.) A true oneshot will follow this one shortly

Pairing: Yuuichirou Hyakuya X afab!Reader X Mikaela Hyakuya

Synopsis: In the midst of a day at the carnival with friends, MC finds herself caught between the affections of childhood friends, Yuu and Mika, who compete for her attention.

Word Count: 2,267

"[Name]-chan~!" a certain lavender haired girl called out.

Hearing her constant yelling outside your house, you grumbled in your sleep, positioning on your sides to get a better sleep.

"[Name]-chan!"

"What?!" You bolted upright, brows knitted together in annoyance as your hands formed into a fist, clenching on your blanket. Your half-lidded eyes stared at your oak wood floor.

"E-eh..."

You turned to your side and saw the gang standing outside your room, your door opened. A grinning Shinoa, a poker-faced Mitsuba, a sweat dropping Yoichi, a blank-faced Mika, and a nervous Yuu and Shiho. You glared hardly at them as purple aura emerged from your body, surrounding around you.

"What?" You calmly asked, trying to compose yourself.

"Well, we are wondering if you want to join us—"

"Nope," you bluntly said, cutting off the poor Yoichi who 'eh?!' in surprise, covering the blanket over your face as you went back to bed.

"Come on, [Name]-chan~ it will be fun~" Shinoa went to your sides and poked you.

"Stop it, it's annoying." You groaned then buried your body deeper into the mattress.

A sigh escaped Mitsuba's lips then went out the room, she motioned Shiho and Yoichi to come with her, in which they obeyed. Yuu decided to convince you to come so he went to the bed and kneeled down.

"[Name]?"

You poked your head out of the covers and looked at him. You can't stay angry at Yuu and Mika since they're your childhood friends. And of course, they're not annoying like Shinoa.

"Yes?" You asked, though you obviously know that he'll ask you to join them.

"If you're free today, will you join us? We're planning to hang out at a carnival since there is a festival going on." Yuu explained.

"And there will be fireworks too, your favorite, right?" Mika added, flashing you a smile that could melt your heart.

You hid your blush from them by covering your face with your blanket. "S-sure... just let me refresh for a while. Having you guys invade my house, especially my room, made it hard for me to think."

Yuu sweat-dropped as Mika sighed.

"Well, it was actually your mother's idea to go straight to your room to wake you up, since she said that you're a heavy sleeper when having your little siesta." Yuu laughed nervously as he stood up, rubbing a hand behind his head.

"Yeah, right." You rolled your eyes because of your mother. "Wait for me in 5 minutes. Tell mom that I'll be joining you guys."

Yuu and Mika smiled while Shinoa just grinned. She grabbed the boys out of your room and closed the door behind her.

You sighed, removing the blanket from your face, before smiling at the thought. "Fireworks, huh?"

After you fixed yourself, you exited the room and went downstairs. You can hear laughter and fighting in the living room and so you sneak up and took a peek inside. And as usual, you saw the pinkette and the raven haired boy having a staring competition with each other, sparks of rivalry in between.

"Hey, hey, hey," you smiled then leaned on the door frame, arms crossed.

Everyone looked at you as the two stopped their little contest.

"Ah, you're already awake~" your mom chimed as her eyes lit up, hands clasped together in front of her chest.

"Well, I can't probably go back to sleep without someone annoyingly continue to disturb me," you said and glared hardly at the Hiiragi, making the others know who you are referring to. Shinoa just smiled at you sweetly.

Mitsuba sighed. "Anyways, thanks for welcoming us into your home, Mrs. [Surname]."

"Oh, no! It's fine, you're my [Name]'s good friends, after all." Your mom gave them a smile.

"Okay guys, let's go," you called out to them and they nodded, standing up from their seats.

"Have fun everyone!" Your mom called on you as you and gang are standing outside of your house.

"We will!" You shouted back.

"And oh! Yuu-kun, Mika-kun, please take care of my [Name]!"

"We will!" The black-haired male replied.

"Please don't worry," Mika assured and smiled.

"Mou!" You pouted and puffed your cheeks in all cutesy, face flushed by your mother. "I can handle myself, thank you."

"Okay, then. Have fun!" Your mother chuckled.

"Yes!" With that said, you and the gang walked your way down the pavement towards the known carnival place.

Once the gang entered the park, you can only stare in awe at how much the park had changed from the last time you saw it. A lot of people are roaming around, playing at game booths, eating or just loiter. A slim hand slipped itself into yours and you instantly tensed up at the touch. Your flustered face turned and saw Mika staring back at you, a slightly pink tinted his cheeks.

"M-Mika-kun...?" You asked, unsure of his actions.

"The crowd is thick and I don't want to lose you, your mom might throw a tantrum because of it." He explained, looking back to the crowd to prove his point.

"Y-yeah... right..." you answered, a part of you want to sweat-drop of thinking of your mom having a fit.

Unbeknownst to you, Shinoa is a grinning mess for watching the cute scene and Yuu can't help but scowl at his brother.

"Okay, guys!" Shinoa's voice caught everyone's attention.

You and the others turned around to face Shinoa. And once you did, you could feel a shiver run down your spine after seeing her expression. She is already grinning from ear to ear, a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes. Whatever she is thinking, you don't want to know it.

"Since we are now at the park, I am actually thinking of going in pairs to have fun."

"Who will pick the pairs then?" The brunette asked.

"We'll decide with this!" She pulled out 7 sticks from who-knows-where. You instantly know what it is for. "Since we are 7 right now, there will two pairs and a trio. I had prepared this before we left."

"And we're gonna pick who we are paired with, right?" Yu asked, looking at Shinoa who nodded to answer his question. Somewhere deep in his heart, he wanted to be paired with you and spend the day having fun, he is also somewhat jealous because of the intimate gestures his brother is giving you earlier.

"Let's get this over with." Mitsuba sighed then got one stick.

Yoichi followed after the blonde, then Shiho, then Mika and Yuu at the same time. You and Shinoa are yet to pick. You glanced at the lavender-haired Hiiragi and gave her a nervous glare but all she return to you was a cheeky smile, shoving the two remaining sticks closer to you. You sighed then grabbed one.

"Okay! Removed the white tape from the bottom, there you will see a color. The persons with the same color will go together as pair or trio." After that, everyone did what Shinoa instructed and ripped the tape, revealing three colors—red, yellow and blue—indicating that there are three separate groups.

By now, Mika already removed his hands from yours(for which you are grateful for but soon missing his warmth) and ripped the tape revealing a blue tipped stick.

"I guess we're a pair then," you said then showed him yours.

"I couldn't ask for more." He chuckled.

"Oi! I got blue!" Yuu yelled and raised his blue tipped stick. Your heart dropped at seeing this.

"Stop your yells, idiot! We don't want any passers-by to stare at us like we're crazy!" Shiho smacked the ravenette's head in annoyance, a tick mark appeared on his forehead.

"Ouch! What the hell is that for?!" Yuu rubbed his head then come to touched the redhead's forehead. After a while, the staring contest started.

"H-Hyakuya-kun, Kimizuki-kun, please calm down." Yoichi tried to make them stop as he sweat-dropped.

"I can't believe that I'm paired with this girl..." Mitsuba's eyebrows twitched in annoyance as she stared at the yellow tipped stick. The said lavender haired Hiiragi just smiled sweetly at her.

"W-well... Yuu-kun," you rubbed your temple and called out to him, hoping that somehow, he and Kimizuki would stop for once.

"Hm....? What is it, [Name]?" He asked and turned his full attention towards you.

"Mika-kun and I got blue as well." You said then showed him your stick.

Yuu's green eyes blinked a few times before pink dusted his cheeks. He then comes to you and pulled you into a hug, a gesture which surprises you.

"I'm glad to be your pair, [Name]!" He gushed. You just stood there shocked. He then pulled away and stared into your [e/c] orbs, hands on your shoulders. "I promise to make your day the best!"

The blonde male just glared at his brother for a good minute before breaking their moment. "Ehem!"

Yuu instantly removed his hands from your shoulders and both of you looked at Mika.

"Let's go." Was all he said before interlocked his hands with yours and began to walk.

"H-hey! Wait for me!" Yuu called out and caught up. Mika just looked back at Yuu and glared in which the ravenette didn't hesitate to return.

By now, you and the others are already separated and had your time with both Hyakuya brothers. You can't help but notice that they are trying to get close to you every now and then. They would also scowl and glare at each other when you're not watching. At first, you and the boys went around to admire all merchandise. But then they started to buy you anything that you want. Then they played games to win prizes for you. Of course, you accepted the gifts but somewhere deep in your heart, you wanted them to stop giving you all of these, it made you feel a bit guilty about it.

After the game, the three of you rested first on a bench with the foods that you guys recently bought. Yuu tried to feed you takoyaki, in which you humbly decline but insisted anyway. Mika would let you drink his beverage whenever you are in need of liquid, and of course, you being oblivious that he already drank it also.

Yuu notices this then started glaring hard at the male who returned the favor with a smirk. And so, Yuu had his ways. After eating, your trio went around once again to admire the scenery and everything. During that time, he had excused himself from buying something. Mika was delighted by that then entwined his fingers with yours. You didn't question him this because you know that he thought you might get lost, the crowd is getting thicker after all.

After Yuu came back, he held an unwrapped lollipop and handed it to you. Your eyes brightened up at the sight of your favorite [f/f] lollipop and didn't hesitate to shove it in your mouth. Unknown to you and to Mika, the ravenette boy already licked the lolly before giving it to you. Now he already had an indirect kiss with you as well.

"Wah~ I'm tired!" You yawned as your trio walked towards a grassy field.

"You're right, it's getting late now," Mika stated, still holding your right hand.

"Let's rest over there. The fireworks are gonna start in a few minutes," Yuu informed, pointing a finger to an open grassy field. His other hand entwined with your left(yes, by now, Yuu started to hold your hand as well).

"Sure." You nodded and walked towards the place. The boys following beside you.

After you and the boys settled down on the grass(with you in the middle, of course), you turned to them and smiled.

"Thank you guys for this day."

"It's no problem." Answered Mika as he focused his gaze on the skies, awaiting the fireworks with his cheeks painted red. Luckily for him, the skies were dark and so you didn't see his blush.

"You're always welcome, [Name]." Answered Yuu as he averted his gaze to the side to hide his blush from you.

"Actually..." you turned around to see Mika staring at you. His handsome features up close made your face heat up.

"We've been thinking..." this time, you looked to Yuu and saw his face inches away from yours. You could already feel your heart's gonna explode any moment now.

"That we............" and as on cue, the fireworks exploded in the sky, making Yuu's statement falter by the loud booms and earning your attention as you instantly switched your focus on the colorful sky.

And once you did, the two didn't hesitate to use the opportunity and kissed both of your cheeks at the same time. Your heart skipped a beat, yours eyes wide and face flushed. The two pulled away then gave you a sweet smile while interlocking their fingers with yours.

"We love you, [Name]."

I didn't expect to start a chain reaction, lmao. I am glad to share tad bit of my headcanons, and even more glad that the other anon enjoy it. I am happy to feed the 30 Jojolion fans out there.

We've been starved of content for a while (from video games like: Asbr where only WoU and Josuke (whose moveset is quite outdated) are available for part 8 cast (unfortunately our grumpy and lovable plant appraiser, Kei, Josefumi, and Kira are not available *Big Sad*) to yandere content right here. Anyways, here’s part 2 of my blurb. Enjoy it. To the other anon; please don't come after me ;;

“One package of chocolate chips cookies and those Milky way sweetrolls, if you would please.” Mitsuba mused, pointing her manicured to the dessert hidden behind the glass panes.

“Right away, Ma’am. Anything else?”You asked calmly, as you complied to her request. The dark haired model noticed something peculiar about you; You were dressed in dark navy blue dress suit reminiscent of galaxy, a silver blazer on-top of it, dark pants, and a dark shoes with silver botanical design. Overall, your motifs resembled the moon. Which made sense, seeing the brand of your bakery.

Yet, it was your necklace that garnered her attention. It was similar to that of her husband. It was a two piece necklace, she deduced. Yours was the crescent, ever so reservered and wise. While Jobin’s was that of the glazing sun, ever so energetic and on the go. Perhaps.. Perhaps you were the friend he always referred to with fondness and nostalgia.

Not only him, but Mr. Higashikita and Mrs. Higashikita as well. Mitsuba doubt that was the case, the probability you are the same person is undeniably low. Since the friend that Jobin spoke off has been gone for nearly 22 years ago.

Regardless, she admired the way that you handled your bakery. From the calming and beautiful interiors and atmosphere (with music; ranging from Classical to Country, to Rock), to the freshly made and unique pastries, and the decently priced products and offers. Buying three packages of any product, can guarantee you another free of price. No wonder her friends raved about this place.

She could observe you, as you handled her order with absolute meticulousness and care. Your hands were gloved, as you gently knead the dough. Once the dough was ready to rise, you punched it down and let it roll. Followed by you filling the inside of dough with vanilla (with added sugar) to resemble the stars of the milky way.

Then started rolling the filled dough again into jelly roll style, followed by you painting the outside layer of the roll with dark blue and purple coloring so it resembles a galaxy. Soon after, you have set the pastry inside the oven. While the sweetroll finishes, you have handled the cookies.

Mistuba was rather impressed by your work ethics. Instead of giving her a ready to go (probably soggy) cookies and sweet rolls, you went out of your ways to make it fresh yourself with the help of your co-workers. Not only that, but she was given a free tea as her order is being done. Mhm~ Weren’t you a clever business person? She might consider become a normal patron, if this continues.

It took about 40 minutes, for her order to be processed. 15 minutes for the sweet rolls to turn golden brown, another 15 for the cookies, and 10 minutes to package it neatly and properly. With a card on top of it; “May your happiness and prosperity be as vast as the endless universe ~✨”

“Here you go, miss. I apologise if we were late. Please, enjoy.” You spoke with a nervous smile at your face. Waiting for one of your favourite models to respond. You could feel your heart tremor, as you remembered the saying “Never meet your heroes”, but that vanished as a smile appeared on the lady’s face.

“No need to apologise, if anything… I expected to wait more, and not to mention the stellar hospitality. I could probably wait more.. However, I have quite few questions before I leave? Mind if you answer it for me?” Mitsuba mused, finishing her green chai.

“By all means, Miss. Any question you have, I’ll answer it to the best of my capabilities.” You responded back feeling the heavy weight of disappointing a customer, as influential as Mitsuba, is slowly withering.

“Good. Good. What’s your name?” Mitsuba inquired, curiosity eating her mind. There’s something familiar of you, yet she couldn’t put her finger on it. As if she has seen you somewhere. She tried to chuck it as irrational feeling, after all this is her first meeting with you. Or was it?

She remembers seeing a photo of a young Jobin —about six years old— and another child dressed as bettles and were enjoying theirselves with Kaato laughing together with another older woman. The photo was in the Higashikita’s family photo-book.

“My name is (Y/n) (L/n), I do hope that suffices.” You chuckled, unaware of the woman’s eye widening in surprise. You have the exact name as the child. She must bring Jobin, maybe he can recognise you. She doesn't want to rush in mistaking you for someone else, but it isn't a coincidence that you share the same name with Jobin’s childhood friends.

“Is something wrong, miss?”You questioned in concern.

“No. No. Not all, haha. Please don't trouble yourself.” That all she said, before fleeing the establishment and leaving a positive feedback on the questionnaire regarding customer service and the bakery in general. Which left you pretty confused.

‘Huh? What was that all about?’

Okay, bettle boy didn't appear because I want to world build a little bit regarding darling’s bakery and tad bit of relationship with Mitsuba’s and drop a few lore along the way. Darling has a long history with the Higashikita. Did she forgot them? Did something happen to reader that made them forget about them? To be continued *Insert Roundabout here.*

Thinking about Tsukasa and the 2 working with him, it seems he made a plan to get rid of No.1's yorishiro this time (apparently like he always does), the 2 followed it, she did her part to put things into chaos, he did his part to sneak into the clock right after and destory it, Mr. mastermind enjoyed checking on how his plan was going both passive and active, he took things from there and went with his rule, all is going according to plan and I assume things will soon be over to their favor.

Thing is...

I can't help but to remember another 'member' 'living' in the same place as them and in a way, a part of their group. That is...

Hmm... does he ever hear them discussing things or... I don't know... knows anything of what they are actually doing at all?

Sounds he is oblivious to any further information beyond their depressing business of spreading rumors.

Is he kept around when things are normal but when 'real' work calls he is... 'not there'?

In the p.p arc he seems to be a part of the plan since it was Tsukasa's suggestion to grant him the experience of a nice life in the perfect world. Don't think he gets the whole 'yorishiro' picture or 'the other things Tsukasa wanted to get out of the whole thing'.

Even when he shows to know Tsukasa has a thing in mind he just...

Removes himself out of the whole picture. why though, Tsukasa is understanding, just talk things out with him, especially when they are about you, and I'm sure you won't be left down. just give things a try before jumping into conclusions really fast and giving up.

Then we have No.6's deal and the severance, Tsukasa made sure to take care of him after he fell apart and to bring him the food he needed, so that was Mit 2.0's rule in there, he is not involved with what the 3 are doing at all.

And now, that seems to be the case again. It sounds as if he really didn't get any kind of hint such a thing will happen. He went to pull pranks on Kou, followed Mit's mother and... that's it. He is treated like the others and is frozen in place thanks to Tsukasa's plan that the other 2 carried out. easy on your fellow, his 'heart' won't be able to take all the surprises one after the other, starting with a severance, followed by being frozen in place. he needs a break

Joking aside, Tsukasa made sure to take care of him during the severance really well. He was kept in mind.

So now, once again with him being frozen deal, he is kept in mind, meaning some way or another, Tsukasa and the 2 with him know things will be back to normal once more as if nothing happened.

I have to say I love the amount of freedom Mit 2.0 has. He is welcomed to hang out where the 3 are, to do whatever he wants for real in the p.p arc, go with Kou however he wants, same goes with after the severance still wonder if Tsukasa knew he went to the Minamotos house because otherwise it really won't make sense, then at the festival he is doing his own thing. And I believe when his deal comes he'll be given a choice to decide what he wants, Tsukasa will try further to grant his wish some way or another if he still wants it, etc. It's nice.

It even crossed my mind if Tsukasa has a thing of 'oh boy, I need to get around No.1's yorishiro really fast or else I will be late on getting Mitsuba his lunch and that's not nice at all.' Ahem, so... once things are dealt with, time is back to normal, he hangs out a bit more with Kou or does whatever he wants, Mit 2.0 may actually go to have his lunch break. funny to think about. I'm kinda glad No.1 turned out to be robot-like, if it had a real heart that would fit Mit 2.0 to eat, would Tsukasa think of saving it for him? would that make things messier in Mit 2.0's situation? if so I don't think Tsu will go for that Tsukasa will be leaving babysitting... to go do more babysitting. XD

Anyway, Tsukasa himself needs a treat after such hard work. You can at least do that for him, right?

He can enjoy a cup of tea after all his hard work. ♡

Back to Mit 2.0's case, it makes sense for him not to know much into what the 3 are really doing or going after, he wasn't a part of what the 3 are doing from the start, Tsukasa just made him and all, he hangs around them but that's all there is to it. So far.

So, I wonder now when his deal is the one to come (once we are done with No.1's), what will really happen? How will Tsukasa move both wanting to get rid of the yorishiro now unlike in the hell of mirrors, and wanting to grant Mit 2.0's wish all together? Mit 2.0 will have to play an active rule this time deciding his own issues. I assume much more seriously than in the p.p arc.

From what Tsukasa said to her, 'No3.'s case is a done deal'. if he moved to all confidently call No.3's deal -that will come after No.1's- a done one, doesn't it mean he already sees No.1's also to be so done? never a dull moment with him around. he is so much fun. It seems he already figured things out and knows what he'll be going exactly, getting things to be dealt with as wanted. Hmm, I am actually excited to see Tsukasa working on granting Mit 2.0's wish and getting around his yorsihrio 'effectively' all together, especially the wish granting part, I need to see how he will take it further.

It's amusing to think when the time comes, he'll sound like working on granting 3 wishes in one go. Destroy the yorishiro for her wish, Amane's wish, granting Mit 2.0's wish (whatever shape it may take) in some way or another, regardless of destroying the yorishiro itself. And I know he is more than capable of making the most unexpected things come reality. He is full of surprises. What are you going to surprise me with next, amuzing sweet boy?~

ANY COMIC HORROR. I could also say ghosts and zombies. But if you wanna get more specific I would say the Creature from Frankenstein (or Slenderman, if he counts)

28. Favorite backroom level?

I have three! Number one, if I wanna be cliche: Mr Kitty's house. Number two, if I'm gonna be true with myself: Level "Run for your life!". I DONT KNOW, THE THOUGHT JUST RUNNING FROM THE CREATURES WITHOUT A BREAK SOUNDS MADDENING, I love it. And number three, Level fun. I don't know, it really explotes the nostalgic kidcore/weirdcore factor of the backrooms. Ignoring the risks, sounds like a cool place to rest.

Mitsuba is going to have two moms, except they're not married, and one is his nobel mother and the other one is just mother Mitsuba, who is not a royal nobel. Also his big brother Karasu is also a prince.

Nene and Aoi are sirens and not conjoined.

Max is a pink ( actual ) bunny named Mokke.

Carlotta/Mei is Mitsuba’s best friend.

Strange Tides

As soon as Mitsuba lays his eyes on the curly black haired blasian boy with cat-like but clueless amber eyes, the first thing he thinks is ‘poor guy’. The knights reported to him and his Nobel mother, Fuku/Mitsuba Yumi, that the boy must have lost his memory, and is not able to speak.

The nameless boy wore a button up black pocket patched shirt with black jeans, and Mitsuba wore a long sleeve red shitagi and pink hakama pants. With additional jewelry, like his blue whale right earring and charm bracelet.

Mitsuba couldn’t help but think for a second that those eyes were the same ones he saw the day he was saved by an unknown male. The one with a singing voice dripping honey and flowers, a magnificent sound. The unknown male he’s been trying to find ever since.

His savior.

But, the boy sitting in front of him couldn’t even speak, nevertheless sing. So his wishes for them to be the same people were dispelled.

It’s such a shame though, and it makes Mitsuba feel a little less hopeful than before and sends him out of the room. Everything matched up, the same hair, eye color, skin color. If he were to see his teeth, maybe the same fangs as well?

He can see his face, but he can’t hear his voice.

And that’s the key memory. His key memory.

So Mitsuba puts that aside, and tries to see what to make out of the boy himself.

The boy in question acted like a newborn child, or just a baby coming outside for the first time. So curious and excited and new. He looks at his food, something given to him by the servants, like it’s something he’s never seen before. Like it was a stinky rat they just fried and threw on a plate. Because he scrunched up his nose, inspected it, and instead of even touching it with the utensils, he looked much more interested in a spoon, fork and chopsticks.

Mitsuba thinks that it was much more logical if the boy was just a ‘tall’ 2 year old.

He continues to be fascinated by music boxes and fire and even his own two legs and feet, he walks like he doesn’t know how to use his own two legs and feet.

He’s always smiling and excited, the only thing that seems to make him drop the cheerful demeanor is seeing sea animals get cooked in an open restaurant window.

Maybe he’s vegan?

Mitsuba wishes to be just as happy as the boy is all the time. Instead, Mitsuba’s life is filled with royalty. The only thing that’s intriguing about him is his good looks and status.

He wished he knew what the boy thought of him. He hopes it has nothing to do with him being a prince.

What if the boy was much more interested in princesses instead?

The whole thing made Mitsuba’s head spiral, it made him frustrated with himself. He’s supposed to be thinking about his savior, not a random boy with amnesia and overly cute, well, everything..

Maybe not as cute as himself.. But, he still can’t help but look at him in an adoring way.

If there is anything that Mitsuba will admit about himself ( Except that he’s good looking ) is that he’s a pretty bad prince.

He doesn’t care about finding a spouse or ascending to his throne or producing an heir or any royal responsibilities. He never even dreamed of being a prince, not even as a kid. He dreamed of being anything that had anything to do with anything in the sea.

He wanted to be a marine scientist ( Even though he’s not that good at science, he would work his a** off ), but mostly a sailor, a captain, a pirate even. He wanted to be involved with the sea world, he wanted the sea animals and plants and water to acknowledge him.

Because that seemed more exciting than boring politics and crowns and paperwork.

When people dream of being king, queens, princes, princesses and any royal Nobel, they dream of ballrooms, respect, wealth, spouses, status. Not politics, or paperwork. Maybe crowns, but definitely not having to be responsible for everything that goes wrong in your life, and in other people’s life.

The girls Mitsuba met weren’t so bad, but they weren’t interesting, and he couldn’t imagine himself falling in love with any of them. Or anyone for that matter. His mothers tried suitors, he didn’t like them either. The people he met were dull, fake-fancy, and had expensive personalities. In his book, they weren’t worth a dime. Maybe a penny cut in half.

They could have been good people, good suitors or suitresses. But again, he wasn’t interested in ‘people-love’, he wanted the earth to love him. Again, not people.

Pretty selfish, right?

He wanted animals to love him, plants, even air. A little bit more like Snow White. Because to him that meant that he was truly important, truly loved. People only loved him because of his status, even his Nobel mother. Maybe except for his real mother and brother.

At least he has his own pirate crew, but they even respect him because he’s Prince Sousuke.

Mitsuba wants to be known as Mitsuba. Too many people call him Prince Sousuke. It holds no meaning anymore.

But whatever, he can’t drop out or anything. He’ll continue to be pretty good at politics and crowns and paperwork.

He’s not one of those angsty teens in indie movies, and even if he may be one at least he’s the prettiest angsty teen in an indie movie.

He’s grateful though, of course. He’s grateful that his family was taken out of poverty after their father left them in the dust. He’s grateful that his mother still loves him. He’s grateful that his brother still loves him, even though Karasu claims he’s gay and emo. He’s grateful that people respect him, and that he’s not picked on or bullied like other kids, he may have been if he hadn’t turned into a Prince and exerted into royalty.

But sometimes he wished he was a normal boy.

Mitsuba didn’t notice that he rambled to the boy about cons of royalty and his dreams, including how he wanted to be earth and marine. Like a merman. The boy giggled, but no actual giggles were heard.

Mitsuba didn’t think he could admire the boy anymore than he already did.

His eyes shone in the sun in a way that added teal and gold and gray into his irises, they looked even prettier than before ( Mitsuba dare say prettier than his own ).

His eyes looked like the most beautiful blocks of gold, and even citrine crystals.

Mitsuba loved crystals.

This boy was much more interesting, than even himself and anyone he’s ever met. Nature, air and sea right in front of him with the glory of Mother Earth.

He realizes he’s staring too much so he looks away sheepishly, he’s never looked someone in the eye that much before.

Despite spending the very few days together, Mitsuba still doesn’t know much about him. It’s difficult to learn anything about the boy because he can’t speak to him, can’t tell him anything about himself. But still, it wouldn’t hurt to try a little, right..?

“I feel bad for not knowing your name..” He says, still not looking the boy in the eye.

He perks up at that.

Mitsuba doesn’t know what to do after that, how would he try to figure out his name?

He looks up from the sea and gets an idea.

“What if I try to guess it?”

The boy thinks, then nods eagerly.

Mitsuba turns to face him again, looking at his face to see what name would suit him.

“Is it Akira?”

He shakes his head, still smiling brightly.

“How about,” he ponders some more, “Tsu…..”

He gasps and leans in, that must mean he’s close…

“Tsu…. Basa..?”

He shakes his head again, but looks at him even more expectedly.

Then he writes something in the air with his finger slowly two times, something that looks like a ‘K’.

“Tsu.. Ki.. Tsuki!”

He indicates another ‘no’.

Mitsuba thought that was so close.

But he was getting closer.

What other name started with ‘TSUK’..?

Suddenly, the name hits him upside the head like a strong wind. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say it was sung to him. The same singing voice he heard the time he was saved.

Tsukasa.

“Tsukasa?” He says with much more confidence this time. ‘That has to be it-‘

The boy lights up, nodding so fast Mitsuba worries he’ll hurt his neck.

A victorious smile spreads across Mitsuba’s face, trying to suppress the urge to stomp his feet and flap his hands to release the energy.

“Tsukasa,” he tries. “I like it.”

Tsukasa's smile turns smaller, and Mitsuba thinks he must have said something wrong once Tsukasa turns away so he doesn’t see his face.

But then he sees his cheeks turn a mulberry pink, and starts blushing himself.

Mitsuba doesn’t know what to do now. He had a goal, did he not? An original one, one that came before wanting to get to know Tsukasa’s name. He had a mission before meeting Tsukasa, and he has no plans on giving that mission up.

He has to find the guy who saved him. He has to see him, hear his voice again, thank him with everything he’s got. Sure, now he really wished Tsukasa and the guy were the same people, but life wasn’t that simple, he learned that even before becoming a prince.

He had to hold his pride and put aside meaningless flirting.

But god would he be lying if he said Tsukasa didn’t make his stomach upset, fizzy and nervous. Maybe it felt like that because he was trying to swallow the words wanting to call him pretty, good looking. That’s Mitsuba’s thing, being pretty. He was the prettiest boy in this town! Tsukasa couldn’t come a close to that, he wouldn’t let him.

Though Mitsuba was a man, a man with eyes, that couldn’t deny Tsukasa’s attractiveness for the life of him. Not even just his physical appearance, everything about Tsukasa seemed attractive. His attitude, personality.. Mitsuba didn’t think he even had a bad trait.

But everyone did, so that was unrealistic.

And one thing about falling in love is the delusion that someone couldn’t be bad in any way.

And now Mitsuba thought this was horrible, the urge to kiss Tsukasa was overwhelming. He doubted for a second he would get turned down, but fear of rejection took place.

People all over his town ( Around his age of course ) would send him heartfelt love letters and flowers just to be with him, to either be royal or because they ‘loved’ him. He could hardly walk around his palace without someone confessing their undying adoration for him. He’s never, ever been the one confessing, even when it comes to saying his appreciating love for his family. He couldn’t do it, it would break his pride and make him uncomfortable.

So imagine how he’s feeling right now with the most lovable person in front of him.

This was more risky. A guy he’s only spent a day with kissing him sounded rushed if he were to tell his mother, or his brother, or his maid. It was rushed, and desired. That was horrible.

Looking at Tsukasa another time, who’s just recovered from the compliment and is now looking at the water, he knows he wants him. He wants Tsukasa more than anything right now. He’s unlike any person he’s ever met, as a prince who met half the whole town, that’s saying a lot.

It’s possible Tsukasa wants him too, right? Those gold eyes have been lingering on him all day, he could say with all his confidence. Tsukasa would invade his space like he couldn’t be separated from him for a moment.

Mitsuba can tell when someone is interested in him, Tsukasa checks every box.

Little did he know the boy himself was just as nervous, maybe by five times.

He had suppressed bouncing his leg or fidgeting with his hands in front of the prince so he wouldn’t look unstable, but really he didn’t know what to do either.

What do you do when you're on a boat with a human in silence? The prettiest human you’ve ever seen, the first human you’ve seen ever since coming up to the surface?

Prince Sousuke was exactly how Tsukasa imagined a human would be. Gorgeous, humble and elegant. Even more than merpeople. Even more capable and interesting.

Tsukasa wasn’t so clueless, he’d read romance books, he’s seen romance, he’s known about it ever since he was a kid. It was written on his father’s face when facing his mother, it smudged off of it when their mother left, it floated in bubble hearts around people giving romantic tension.

He wondered, if Mitsuba and him were under sea, would they have a bubble heart too..?

He doubted it like he’s never doubted anything before.

But there was so much tension.

And the timing was perfect. On a boat, sea creatures and birds all around them, no one else. The lighting and atmosphere was something out of a romance movie, and they both heard a soft melody coming from the distance where fishermen were playing music on the dock, far from them of course.

The moment is subtly ruined by the squawking of a seagull. Mitsuba jumps at the noise, while Tsukasa laughs, a little too quietly.

Tsukasa takes Mitsuba’s hand unwantedly and takes him back to his previous concern.

He does want to kiss the boy.

Now’s their moment, the nature was urging them, the wind pushed them in close proximity and out of the corner of Tsukasa’s eye he sees leaves flowing along loopy lines all around the boat.

No time could be better, they’d lose the chance if they didn’t take it now.

Fish were circling around them, they’ve made it under a willow tree and the leaves continued dancing. The sight might have been strange to Mitsuba, all the sea creatures now beside their boat, all of the Earth focusing on this one moment if he weren’t so focused on Tsukasa.

Everything was set up so perfectly, like the universe wants this to happen. Mitsuba wasn’t so big on fate, since the coming out of poverty with a royal request felt like nonsense to him when he was younger, but he could roll with this one.

His hands reach out to find Tsukasa’s. He could no longer hide it.

At that moment he wanted to kiss Tsukasa more than anything.

Tsukasa smiles, more like an attempt to pull himself together because he would never be ready for a kiss, by a human, by anyone. Not ever. His heart was still beating hard in his chest, loud enough for Prince Sousuke to hear it, his ears were ringing and his eyes fluttered to shut close to not see what comes next.

Mitsuba smiles, no longer shy like Tsukasa, but flirty, like he’s daring Tsukasa to follow his plan in making them as close as possible.

Tsukasa’s hands are shaking, his legs are shaking, his whole body is now. He’s never been more nervous in his life. Maybe.

But he shakingly accepts the challenge.

Tsukasa and Mitsuba inch closer and closer toward each other. The distance in their faces is closing in, and Mitsuba can feel the overwhelming warmth of Tsukasa’s body heat. Their lips brush against each other, and then-

In an instant, the boat flips over.

It happens so fast that it gives Mitsuba whiplash. He’s not able to process what just happened, but surely he will not be admiring the water engulfing him after ruining the chance he had with Tsukasa.

His immediate response was to find Tsukasa, reaching out to him under the water and then pulling them both up to the surface ( Ever the gentleman ).

Once they both come up, they breath in air through their mouth, it almost gives Mitsuba flashbacks of almost drowning.

A black and purple fish is swimming frantically around Tsukasa, looking comically panicked. Mitsuba can’t help but stifle a laugh at the sight, deciding to question everything later.

“Looks like you have a friend,” he points out.

Tsukasa’s eyes dart everywhere but Mitsuba’s, all memories of the moment they were about to share coming back to him like a speedy truck, and then hastily swats away the flounder.

“Hey,” Mitsuba teases, “Don’t be mean to it.”

He takes Tsukasa’s hand, giving him a dreamy look to try cheering him up. It takes a while for Tsukasa to register it before blushing profusely and looking away again, hand still quaking.

A feeling of disappointment sweeps over Mitsuba as he realizes he missed the chance to kiss Tsukasa. Although, this situation was just hugely ridiculous and he does nothing but laugh and encourages Tsukasa to flip the canoe back over.

It’s an easy task, and Mitsuba starts rowing them back to shore.

He wants to kick himself for not kissing the boy sooner, when will an opportunity like that come again?!

He tries convincing himself that it’s fine, he’ll take Tsukasa somewhere nice next time, and go to a cafe to apologize, maybe. Hopefully royalty didn’t take up all his time again, because the only thing he wanted to be occupied with now is Tsukasa.

And finding his savior..

Yes, of course.

Mitsuba doesn’t notice Tsukasa fuming, thoughts running wild with questions and everything above while steering the boat.

Tsukasa hides his face in his hands as a seagull lands on the boat and tilts its head at him.

Sumire smirks, amused by an overly flustered Tsukasa she’s never seen before. Also thinking it was a shame the sirens working for Sakura had to ruin the romance between Tsukasa and the boy she thinks, she knows, he likes a lot.

Mitsuba and Tsukasa will hopefully get a chance in the future.
