Batman beyond x reader pt.2

The reader takes Batman's advice to join the police but after her first day she suffers a tragedy that she'll stop at nothing to fix.

A few months later you were walking into the police commissioner's office. Having finished training at the police academy. You looked at the name plate before knocking on the door. "Commissioner Gordon? I'm here for my introduction." The older woman looked up from her data pad. "Come in and take a seat. What's your name kid." You sat in the plush chair and gave her a friendly smile." "I'm y/f/n y/l/n it's nice to finally meet you ma'am." She types something on her computer. You sit patiently for her to finish or talk. "Ah here you are. Well you seem to have some potential to make a great cop." "Really!? Oh that's great, I'm happy to start whenever Mrs. Gordon." She gave you a small smile. "Well how about next week then?" "Sure is there anything I need to get before I start?" "We'll worry about that Monday, I'll start you off with some guard duty and some other basic stuff." You flashed her a bright smile. "Ok that sounds good, I'll see you Monday then commissioner."

When you got home you skipped up the steps happily and opened your door. Your cat greeted you with a loud meow. You looked at her a bit surprised. "We'll hello to you too little missy. I'll bet you're hungry aren't you." Another loud meow made you laugh. "Ok ok just let me put my stuff up first jeez." After you set your stuff down you make your way to the kitchen. You bend down and open the cabinet with the catfood and other pet stuff. You scoop out some kibble and pour it into her bowl. She looks up at you waiting for the wet food you pour on top. The small packet refuses to tear open so you grab the scissors from the drawer. As you pour the liquid food on her kibble she tries to lick the packet. Once the packet is empty you toss it in the trashcan under the sink. You lean against the counter and watch her eat. "You're so cute honeybunny." You squat beside her and scratch the base of her tail making her stick her butt in the air. You chuckle at her. Later that night you're sitting on the couch watching the news when the news anchor starts to talk about the recent animal fighting rings that have been stopped by police. You reach out to pet your cat instinctually and she starts to purr. "Don't worry honey I won't let anything like that happen to you. And I'll try to stop some of them too." You turned off the TV and got ready for bed, as you laid down on your side she jumped up on the bed and curled up into your stomach. You curled your body around her protectively and you fell asleep to her purring.

Monday rolled around and you walked into the commissioner's office again to meet with Mrs.Gordon. She showed you the ropes, and set you up with your new partner. You hit it off with her as you talked while on guard duty at the bank. The day was uneventful but you supposed that was good for your first day. After you put your gear in your new locker you said goodbye to your partner. It was dark out as you walked to the parking garage. You got in your car safely and drove home. When you got home you noticed your door was open. You ran inside and grabbed your baseball bat that was next to the door. You snuck through your house making sure to clear every room. They had taken your electronics and anything else they deemed expensive enough. You suddenly realized you hadn't seen your cat anywhere in the house and she hadn't meowed to greet you either. You called for her and looked anywhere she might hide but you never found her. At this point you were shaking and you ran back outside to call for her. She never answered. You called the police and your partner who was still on duty pulled up first.

You were sitting on the steps sobbing as she jogged to you. "Hey y/n what happened? Is anyone injured?" You hugged her tight as you tried to calm down enough to speak. "I-I think they took her!" "Who? They took who?" "My cat I can't find her!" Another sob racked your body as you mentally kicked yourself for not being there to protect her. "Hey hey look at me! She might be running around here somewhere. When the others get here I'll go look for her ok?" You wiped your tears with your sleeve and nodded your head.

Two more cop cars pulled up and one draped a blanket over your shoulders. They questioned you as you sat on the steps. Just like your partner said, she walked down the street to call for her. A few more cops showed up along with the commissioner and they closed off your house for the investigation. Your partner came back an hour later empty handed and you broke again. Your partner offered for you to stay at her place for a while and you took her offer. The others gave you their sympathies and another hour later you were driving to your partners place. Anger coursed through you at the thought that your baby was in a cage somewhere about to be subjected to who knows what. Your grip tightened on the wheel and your nuckles turned white. That night you didn't get much sleep and the next morning you went to work. You checked in to see if they started an investigation for your missing cat and valuables. The commissioner assured you that they would find her. And with that you went on patrol with your partner.

Patrol was mostly uneventful other than catching a few speeders. The commissioner called over coms that there was a robbery in progress. You sped off to find them and as they pulled out of a parking garage you gave chase. Out of nowhere the batmobile sped past you and pit maneuvered the robbers vehicle. It slammed into the guard rail coming to a stop. You and your partner managed to catch one robber as he jumped out of the vehicle but the other two ran off. Bats ran past you saying he would catch them. You growled at the robber as you pinned him to the concrete. "You're under arrest punk. You have the right to remain silent everything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law." He chuckled at you. "You seem angry officer." "I've had a bad day. Now do you have any weapons on your person?" "No I do not officer." "Good now in you go, and watch your head." You closed the door behind him and looked over to see bats dragging the other two robbers over. They were unconscious and he held them by the scruff of their clothing. "They're all yours officer." He dropped them at your feet and you pulled out another set of cuffs. "So you decided to take my advice after all?" "Yeah." You concentrated on cuffing the men. He could tell you were in a sour mood. Two other officers lugged the men to their cars and you stood not looking bats in the eye.

"Hey what's up with you? Is something wrong?" You sigh and finally look at him. "My place was robbed yesterday and I suspect they took my cat aswell. We searched everywhere but couldn't find her." You had a pained look on your face. "Did commissioner Gordon start an investigation?" You nod at him hugging yourself. He puts a hand on your shoulder. "Hey I'm sure they'll find her. And if it'll make you feel any better I'll do some digging too." You give him a weak smile and wave to him as he jumps into the batmobile flying away.

Your honeymoon is the definition of fun and relaxation, and resident exhibitionist Atsumu somehow convinced you to shower naked with him in the private outdoor shower of your bungalow... you’re starting to see the appeal now ;)

❥ Miya Osamu - Taiwan. One word...FOOD. Taiwan’s got an amazing array of food that Osamu would love to try with you, from street food to fine dining. With some of the best night markets in the region (and you know Asia’s got the good night markets), you’ll be full and satiated...in more ways than one ;) Of course it’s your honeymoon so you’re gonna be staying at a hotel with a view of Taipei 101. He takes you on a day trip to Kaohsiung just to walk around Love River, and to see Lotus Pond! Then another trip to Wulai to soak in the hot springs with a view of the waterfalls. Your man goes all out to make the trip memorable and romantic, he spares no expense when it comes to making you happy.

❥ Oikawa Tooru - Cappadocia. One of the most beautiful places on earth. I always see Oikawa as a traveler, someone in search of new adventures and trying new things, he’s also someone that wants to make an impression, especially on his beloved. Capadoccia is like something out of a modern day fairytale. I’m sure you’ve all seen those hot air balloon photos, and yeah, you guys definitely do that...for the gram, and the memories <3 You both switch off for the trip and just enjoy each other, and the beauty your destination has to offer, open air museums, camel rides (he definitely falls off his camel) , atv rides, the FAIRY CHIMNEYS! He probably begs you to go on a hike with him because he’s so used to doing them in Argentina for fun, and when you give in you don’t regret it because it leads to you to one of the most beautiful sunsets with the love of your life...

❥ Ojiro Aran - The Netherlands. I know, it’s not the first place one would think of for a honeymoon but you and Aran can’t think of a lovelier place to wind down after all the stress of planning and having your wedding. Your days are filled with exploring gorgeous Amsterdam, cruising through the canals on a private boat, long walks or bike rides together through the scenic city, and eating some of the most delicious food you’ve ever had. Aran can’t help it but take tons of photos of you when you visit Keukenhof Gardens, the tulips are in bloom, and he is reminded of why he’s absolutely smitten with you as he watches you walk through them. He takes a page out of Atsumu’s book and makes a cheesy joke about you being more beautiful than any flower, and he actually means it. He indulges you on a trip to the Van Gogh Museum, and he actually really loves it. You both leave with a stunning replica of “Almond Blossom,” because it reminded him so much of the cherry blossoms at home.

❥ Akaashi Keiji - Denmark. Another not-so-popular honeymoon destination, but it’s perfect for you and Akaashi, after all it is the home of one of the most famous fairytale authors, Hans Christian Andersen. You both spend your days touring castles in Copenhagen, and taking romantic boat rides through the canals (Europe loves these doesn’t it?), visiting Andersen’s hometown, relaxing at picturesque cafés and reading, visiting the lovely medieval village of Ribe, and taking all the aesthetic couple photos! And of course, exploring the stunning Tivoli Gardens. It’s quiet, quaint, and charming, much like your beau <3 and it’s the perfect destination for your fairytale getaway.

❥ Sakusa Kiyoomi - Prague, Czech Republic, a city of unparalleled beauty and elegance, just like your suave companion. You both honeymoon in the down season, where the crowds are less. I truly believe Kiyoomi is a romantic, and he definitely believes in the age-old rumor that a kiss in front of the statue of the romantic poet Karel Macha in the Petřín Hill Park on May Day will make your love eternal, so that’s how you start your first day in Prague after breakfast <3 there’s also the rumor that couples who kiss under a blossoming cherry tree on that day will last forever. So you guessed it, you both spend the entirety of your first day in Prague, on the hunt for said blossoming cherry tree. He makes up for it with a scorching kiss that leaves you tingling from the tips of your toes all the way to your ears when you do find your tree. Your time in Prague is spent going to an opera, romantic dinners every.single.day, putting your love lock on one of the many bridges, cruising on the canals, and to avoid all the crowds, a visit to Prague Castle before the sun rises to enjoy a magical stroll around the squares and courtyards as warmth paints the sky.

❥ Kuroo Tetsurou - New York...to be young and in love in New York City~ listen, I know New York isn’t your typical honeymoon destination but it just suits Kuroo so well! There’s so much to do! Can you imagine how fancy he’d be at all times? Especially in fall/winter fashion! Yeah, so we’re going with that. You guys go to Broadway, ice skating at Rockefeller in front of the big tree, stay at the Plaza cause it’s iconic, he gives you flowers at the top of the Empire State (like chuck and blair 😭 I miss gossip girl), eat good pizza in Little Italy, eat all the things at Chelsea Market, take walks around Central Park, have coffee at Ralph Lauren’s, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s Blue Box Café! It would be the most amazing honeymoon, with Mr. Fancy himself.

❥ Suna Rintarou - South Korea. Seoul is easily one of the most instagrammable places in the world, need I say more? You and Suna spend most of your time doing the absolute most at places like the TrickEye Museum, 2D café, Lotte World, giant library at Starfield Mall, and yeah, you two rent those Hanboks when you visit Gyeongbokgung Palace (Suna is mortified but does it to make you happy anyway). You two have pictures of everything, so many pictures. Who said being married had to be boring? You two hit up the clubs in Itaewon, and act like the horny teens you are on the inside, well he legit just sits in the booth while you give him a lap dance. Also, a nighttime visit to Namsan Seoul Tower to see the stunning views of the city, and to put your love lock on the observation deck with thousands of others. Suna tells you it’s lame but he literally had a special heart-shaped lock made for you both with your names engraved onto it <3 who’s the lame one now, Sunarin?

A/N: @tetsurouandushigirl asked me about Daichi when his s/o is pregnant and now I’m in a ✨mood✨ because I love this man so much but I will never forgive him for not being real. Here are some things I headcanon for Daichi when his s/o is pregnant (this a little long so cut) LOL this also isn't proofread so... sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

if it’s the first baby? then he’s super doting (you can’t convince me otherwise)

reads and researches EVERYTHING

he’ll be very involved with all the appointments

will ask more questions than his s/o because he’s both curious about the process but he’s also trying to deal with something that’s out of his control so asking questions and trying to learn as much as he can is how he copes

like this man grew up helping his mom and taking care of 4 younger siblings

THEN a volleyball team of 11 other menaces 

he likes knowing he can control or lead a situation but this pregnancy is completely out of his hands; he’s probably thinking, “this is unfamiliar territory… WHAT DO I DO?”

he’ll baby proof EVERYTHING waaaay before the baby’s delivery

he’ll also be like “you need something? DON’T MOVE. you focus on growing a lung or an arm or whatever. i’ll get you this and this and this…”

he absolutely HATES leaving his s/o alone so he’ll probably ask Suga or ENNOSHITA or even Tanaka and Kiyoko to check up on them since Asahi’s in Tokyo, Noya’s too chaotic, etc. etc.

he’ll definitely bring home meat buns from Ukai’s shop because he stopped by there to update him and to vent about his worries over becoming a dad

(ugh ok. i don’t like talking about timeskip!daichi’s career but…) 

he starts to reconsider what path he takes with it

like if he was thinking about becoming a detective and being out in the field; he’ll definitely rethink it to do more community centered stuff (like being a school cross guard or some shit) or paperwork so that he can be more present in the family’s life AND SO THAT HE KNOWS THAT HE’LL ALWAYS BE COMING HOME TO THEM

thinking that their little bundle of joy THAT WAS CREATED OUT OF THEIR COMBINED LOVE is finally out in the world and they can hold them and all he wants to do is protect and love and serve and bhaldksjgnalkjrad (I LOVE HIM SO MUCH)

after the baby’s born, he’ll take care of them like they’re made out of glass

he’s just thinking, “they’re so small and fragile and i’m so big and i don’t wanna hurt them”

but he’ll also have CRAZY baby fever

Appreciation Post for Iwaizumi for Soft Sunday

(Inspired by @honeybunny-sawamura)

1. He has the cutest pout. It's fine if he looks grumpy, that just gives me more incentive to kiss him all over his face to get him to smile. Or maybe just hug him from behind so I can nuzzle into his back and get a sneaky little feel of his tummy. (Don't judge me)

2. His smile makes me melt. 🥺 Please, look at this precious bean. I wanna be the one to put that grin on his face, maybe kiss him on the cheek right on the corner of his mouth and tell him how amazing I think he is.

3. His arms 💪 Arms are my weakness and isn't it canon that he's the strongest character or something? I don't know, I'm just really into the buffness. But also, it's really great because even though he's probably strong enough to crush you alive, I think he'd probably treat you with so much gentleness and love. (maybe that's just my imagination though idk)

4. He's fearless. Think about it. He has no problem with smacking around Mr. "Even the coach doesn't hit me!" golden boy Oikawa, and he isn't even afraid to put someone as scary as Kyotani in their place. On top of that, he moved to a foreign country by himself just so that he could pursue his dreams! I love that. Strong, brave boy! I find passionate/ambitious people so attractive hehehe

5. He's a reliable friend and teammate! They didn't make him the ace for no reason. Also, "You know Iwa, you do always seem to hit them either way." I rest my case. Not really... because I didn't mention how supportive he is for his team. He has the tough guy exterior but there are plenty of times we see him giving advice to underclassman (onion head specifically), or giving Oikawa pep talks to get him out of his head and boost his confidence. Best boy Iwa!!

AAAAAAAAH okay, literally one of my favourite films of all time, the godfather (+ the godfather pt 2) is a fucking masterpiece. tomura’s close relationship with his father was both inspired by bnha itself as well as michael corleone’s relationship with his father, vito. michael is the golden child even though he’s the youngest, and i love love love how cold and ruthless he can be!!! he’s also super smart.

goodfellas

listen. if henry hill from goodfellas and michael corleone from the godfather had a baby, it would be tomura. he’s slightly more henry than he is michael, but his characterization pulls from both of these characters!! henry is fun, he’s reckless, he’s young, he feels like a god and he loves cocaine. henry also becomes very paranoid, a path with tomura is currently speeding down (albeit much more intensely, with legitimate mental health issues, but you get it). i also love the subtle ‘mafia princess’ trope goodfellas has going on with henry’s wife, karen (that scene where she says she’s going shopping and asks him for money, and he takes out that massive wad of cash?????? brilliant, one of my faves hehehe). henry also has some difficulty dealing with his emotions!!

narcos season 1 + 2

k, i can’t say too much about how this incredible show inspired bmb; i kind of feel like listing it is already giving away too much hehehe BUT i love the pure POWER pablo exudes, and i love his relationship with his wife and how family oriented he is.

scarface (both the original 1932 version and the 1983 version)

WOOOOOOOOOO OKAY. for the 1983 film: cocaine my friends. cocaine and violence and toxic relationships!!!!!!!  i kind of love elvira hancock more than anything else; she’s so glamorous and fun and just aaaaah she’s definitely not as ‘baby’ or ‘good girl’ as bmb!reader is, but her sheer class and cute dresses and just how SPOILED she is reminds me a lot of bmb! for both 1932 + 1983: tony’s relationship with his sister, gina (which tbh borders on incest). gina’s another one of those ‘mafia princess’ types, and tony is extremely overprotective of her and spoils her like mad, too. she’s also fits that ‘good girl’ archetype a lot more!!

reservoir dogs

purely the violence. the violence the violence the violence, the crude and crass way the men talk to each other, and the fact that they’re like a lil organized crime group put together by a boss. i am IN LOVE (IN LOVEEEEEEEE) with mr blonde (aka vic vega <333). mr blonde’s extreme sadism reminds me quite a bit of both dabi and tomura, and he’s even referenced in the lil torture piece i wrote!! also, you literally cannot tell me that vic wouldn’t spoil the absolute HELL out of his good lil princess if he had one <3

(not a film, but!!!!!) hamlet

break my bones is very very very loosely based on hamlet (which is my favourite story of all time. literally. i love hamlet so much i can’t even put it into words); with tomura as hamlet, dabi as a mixture of horatio and laertes, and reader as ophelia. hamlet, my precious baby, is a spoiled fucking brat, who loved his father and was loved by his father. he’s also very intelligent, but falls prey to his indecisiveness and his inability to make decisions, in addition to the rapid decay of his mental health. that’s all i’ll say hehehe

the relationship between baby + debora reminds me of the relationship between dabi and reader a lot <333 i also just love the aesthetic of this film, and the undercurrents of organized crime!!

just a teeny tiny bit; i cannot say anything about this or i think it’ll give something away!!!!!

trios!!!!! trios!!!!!!!!!!!!and the relationship dynamic between jong-su, hae-mi and ben??????? absolutely incredible and reminds me quite a bit of the dynamic between tomura, dabi + reader!!

i’m grouping these two together, because a lot of their influences overlap in terms of dabi + reader’s relationship!!! (i’m pretty sure we can all agree that touya-nii is so fucking Daddy, too <3)

true romance

i fucking love this movie, so so so much. i’d go as far to say that clarence and alabama’s relationship has without a doubt inspired or influenced every single romantic relationship i’ve written in at least some way, shape, or form. i LOVE them. i love their co-dependency on each other, i love their whole ‘it’s you and me against the world’ vibe, and i love how far they’re willing to go for each other. also, again, organized crime (no surprise), and alabama is just the cutest fucking thing i swear to god. that scene of her + virgil in the hotel room will forever be one of my absolute FAVOURITE scenes in cinematic history. i would die for this woman i love her more than anything. she’s so cute yet so strong, so brave, so IN LOVE, and aaaah that is just one of my favourite characteristics ever ever ever. i love women who are soft and strong at the same time, even if that strength isn’t physical.

hello to one of the most famous toxic relationships ever!!! honestly, i don’t think i have to explain this one much LMAO. obviously my readers aren’t as hardcore as nancy and almost always fall into the ‘innocent good girl’ category, but their RELATIONSHIP itself reminds me quite a bit of the relationship between touya-nii and his princess <3

bonnie and clyde (1967)

ahahaha yet again, another very toxic, very co-dependent type of love. like clarence and alabama, i love how these two are literally willing to die for each other—they’d go straight to the ends of the earth for one another, no questions asked. this type of love is extremely unhealthy, obviously, but it’s something i am extremely fascinated with and love exploring in my work! also, that whole ‘fuck the world let’s commit crimes together’????? very tag you’re it dabi x reader!!!

pulp fiction

more specifically, the relationship between mia and vincent. the sexual tension there is fucking crazy, and i love how mia is yet again one of those ‘mafia princess’ types. really, this film applies to bmb as well, but i’m putting it here because the way vincent gets so so SO soft for mia reminds me of the way touya-nii and dabi in these two series in particular get soft for their readers. also, to a lesser extent, the relationship between butch and fabienne. i know a lot of people don’t like fabienne and get annoyed with her, but i think she’s just the cutest thing and i heavily relate to her and her babie/crybaby nature <3 and of course, the relationship between pumpkin and honeybunny (for tag you’re it especially!) <33

breathless (a bout de souffle)

there’s just something about michel that reminds me of touya-nii SO much. i think it’s a combination of his attitude as well as his petty life of crime, and the way patricia hides him in her apartment...i don’t know, it’s difficult for me to put into words, but i love him a lot <3

the joker + harley quinn: i feel like this is so obvious LMAO but i’m obsessed with the idea of that all consuming voracious love that borders on serious obsession. extremely possessive socio/psychopath and his dumb lil baby????? yes <3 (**i also wanna make a note to say that harley isn’t dumb AT ALL, but J will often insult her in such a way, and sometimes the men who write her portray her as such as well >.> but harley is one of my favourite female characters ever. i LOVE how girly and fun she is while still being extremely strong and (sometimes, depending on the version) independent. she isn’t without flaws, and i love how her mr j is basically her kryptonite <3)

speaking of batman, bruce wayne: what can i say, i just love spoiled rich men who have serious issues dealing with their emotions and walk the line of good and evil <33333

anakin skywalker/darth vader: listen, anakin was seriously slighted by those prequel films. but underneath all of that bad writing, at his core, anakin is a fantastic character. he is SO strongly governed by his emotions and is extremely selfish, and his love for his wife and family is ultimately what leads him down the path to the dark side <3 his emotionally charged motivations remind me a lot of CANON dabi!!!

thelma and louise: i just love their relationship, like, a lot hehehe. their relationship and the ending of this film reminds me a lot of my snowman & me; just yet again that whole ‘it’s you and me or it’s death’ type thing.

the darjeeling limited: it should be obvious at this point that i love trios, and i love complex characters and the relationships that come along with them. the relationship between the whitman brothers, the dysfunctional family, the truama and sadness...i love it all. this film is absolutely beautiful and really doesn’t connect much to my work other than the character dynamics, but i love it so dearly.

mad men: again, those misogynistic toxic relationships and the dependency betty has on don for the first few seasons!! also my god, the aesthetic, i am obsessed.

twin peaks: this hasn’t shown up too much in the work i’ve posted on my blog just yet, but i’m head over heels in love with the dreamy unsettling feeling that saturates this entire series, as well as the drugs and crime. also dale is my baby, protect him with everything <3

blade runner (both films): for city aesthetic

suckerpunch: an absolutely awful film but also one of my guilty pleasures, purely because i love babydoll so so so so so much <33 again, more for aesthetic than story.

honestly, my music recommendations are exactly the same as they are in this post right here. lana del rey, lil peep, chase atlantic + the neighbourhood are the four that i’d say influence my work the most tho, and have the most similar vibe to my stuff!! also, nicole dollanganger is an incredible artist and lyricist, and i’ve been told more than once that my work and her work are quite similar (which i agree!!!). her stuff is hauntingly beautiful, but i have a lot of difficulty listening to it because it hits a little too close to home and makes me cry literally every single time. so please be wary of that, i’m giving a general trigger warning for her because she can get quite dark. but her work is absolutely fantastic, i highly recommend as long as you feel that you can handle it!!! <33
