so we as a collective fandom are just gonna completely ignore the unmitigated adorableness that is Lorn and Harriet, huh...

Little random thought.
Out of the 3 Featherington husbands, only 1 had a 'proper' wedding night and it wasn’t ladies man Mr Bridgerton.
Defo gonna include this in one of the fanfics I'm writing.
Also maybe some scenes were Colin gives them some tips "✌️" to help make the act feel better for their ladies.

I keep thinking that Penelope x Colin, will have the male heir first.
But then I think Penelope x Colin, will have a daughter first.
And that Phillipa & Mr. Finch will have the Featherington male heir instead.
I wonder how this will play out 👀

My Fault
Request: Could I ask for one with Anthony‘s daughter that she feels is her fault that Edwina doesn’t want to marry her daddy because she believes she doesn’t deserve a mom (she doesn’t know about anything with Kate) and she feel guilty because she is ruining the happiness of her father.
Anthony Bridgerton x daughter!reader
Summary: Y/N feels guilty after Edwina runs out on the wedding.

Y/N was sitting in the front pew when Edwina had run out on the wedding. After being guided outside, everybody was forced to wait until Edwina decided rather she would or would not end up marrying Anthony. She chose not.
It's the next day and Y/N has already appeared less energetic than usual, which only Benedict has seemed to pick up on.
Currently, Y/N is in the drawing room with Violet, her uncles, and aunts Eloise and Hyacinth. Y/N is sitting on the sofa next to Eloise, watching her read, occasionally skimming over the page.
"Where is your brother? He should be here by now." Violet says.
"Perhaps he is still waiting at the altar for Miss Edwina." Colin says making Eloise and Benedict let out small laughs.
"There will be no mockery today." Violet demands.
"She mocks me incessantly." Gregory says, motioning to Hyacinth.
"Are we not overlooking the benefit of this... tragedy?" Eloise asks.
"Leftover cake?" Gregory asks.
"You wonder why I mock you?" Hyacinth retorts.
"Brother!" Benedict exclaims, noticing Anthony walk in. "How good of you to join us."
"Have you all eaten?" Anthony asks, picking at some food.
"You will need to break your fast later. For now, it is of the utmost importance that we act swiftly to limit the damaging consequences of the unfortunate events of your--"
"Bungled nuptials?" Colin asks.
"Is all of this truly happening because a woman merely changed her mind?" Eloise questions.
"Unfortunately so, Eloise. Yet, I suppose the reason does not signify. We simply must deal with the consequences. Now, I think it a pleasant morning for promenade." Violet says receiving negative reactions from all her children and grandchild.
"Together, united, as the most respectable family that we still very much are." Violet states.
"Respectable?" Anthony asks. "A respectable family is headed by a gentleman, is it not?"
"Brother... is there something more we should know?" Benedict asks, holding his sketchbook to hide his mouth from the rest, quietly asking Anthony another question that Y/N can't hear.
"Forgive me. If a promenade is what you feel is wise, mother, then we shall leave within the hour." Anthony agrees making Violet smile.
Y/N grimaces, not up to a walk, but knowing she won't be getting out of it.
"I shall be a little late. Shopping." Eloise tells them. "I need a new pair of gloves, so as to look that much more united and respectable."

Violet, the three oldest Bridgertons, Hyacinth, and Y/N are all promenading, attempting to talk to some people, but everybody only give dirty looks or quickly escape the interaction. Y/N is holding Anthony's hand, although she tried to hold Benedict's, but her father made her stick by him.
"Is this not a surprise." They turn to see the Featheringtons approach. "To see you out in public, Lady Bridgerton, so soon?"
"Lady Featherington, it is not as though we are in mourning." Violet replies.
"No one understands the pain of a broken engagement better than myself." Portia says. "I never thought that we would recover after Mr. Bridgerton and Miss Thompson's falling out, and yet here we are. Miss Thompson now Lady Crane, Phillipa now Mrs. Finch, and Prudence now engaged."
"Yes. It is rather amusing how things work themselves out, is it not?" Violet says, forcing a small laugh.
"Indeed. I could not help in noticing both broken engagements involve a child with a different person." Portia says, sending a look to Y/N who looks down.
"Coincidence." Anthony states, gently pulling Y/N behind him out of Portia's sight.
"Of course. I do wish you good fortune with all of your things, Lady Bridgerton." Portia says.
She walks past them, Prudence and Lord Featherington following, and Penelope steps up to the family.
"We are truly sorry, Lady Bridgerton." She tells the woman who smiles at her.
"Come along, Penelope. We don't want to talk their ears off." Portia says and Penelope follows her family.

Y/N has kept to herself, only being around her family when it was necessary. She is currently reading and sitting by her window when Anthony walks in, knocking on her door.
"I shall be out with your grandmother and the Sharma family and Lady Danbury. You should be in bed by time we return home." Anthony says and Y/N nods, looking back at her book.
"Is something the matter, Y/N?" Anthony asks.
"No." Y/N answers.
"Are you certain?" Anthony asks, sitting on the end of her bed.
Y/N quietly sighs and thinks before deciding to speak up.
"I'm sorry." Y/N tells him.
"What for?" Anthony asks, worried she probably broke something or did something she wasn't supposed to.
"Miss Edwina." Y/N clarifies.
"It is not your fault." Anthony tells her. Y/N doesn't say anything, looking back down at her book. "You do know that, do you not?"
"Right." Y/N mutters, not looking up from her book.
"Y/N." Anthony calls and she looks at him. He beckons her over and the girl reluctantly puts her book down, walking over and standing in front of her father.
"Why on earth would you believe the broken engagement is your fault?" Anthony asks, holding both of her hands so she can't walk away.
"Because I was born in a bad way. I haven't had a mother due to her leaving after I was born. And that made all of the people in town hate you and my aunts and uncles and grandmother. So I must not be fit to have a mother in any sense. Even one who didn't birth me."
"Darling--"
"And since nobody wants to marry somebody who already has a child, you may never marry. So you'll never be happy. It is my fault you cannot be happy."
Anthony looks at her sympathetically, looking into her sad eyes. Anthony cups her face forcing her to look at him.
"Y/N, I assure you that you had absolutely nothing to do with anything that has happened between me and Miss Edwina. Your birth mother made a choice and while it may not have been the best one, it was her choice. You had nothing to do with it. She wanted to leave me behind."
"But whatever her choice was, that does not mean that you are not deserving of a mother's love. You are very deserving of that and I'm sorry I have not been able to give you that. I do not care about what other people had thought of you because I vowed to protect you from them."
"And you do not have to worry about my happiness. Because you make me the happiest." Anthony states, wiping at the tears that slip out of her eyes.
"But won't I grow up and leave?" Y/N asks.
"Yes, I suppose you will leave eventually. But you shall hopefully return for visits and such. And until then, you are all mine." Anthony says, tapping her nose. Y/N smiles which makes Anthony smile, knowing he got her to cheer up.
"But if it is not my fault, then why did you and Miss Edwina not marry?" Y/N asks.
"That is a complicated adult explanation that I will explain to you when you are much older, my dear." Anthony tells her. "I shall get going now, though I shall see you tomorrow." He states and she nods.
Anthony cups the back of her head to bring her closer and he kisses her on the forehead.
