As Pinkie jumped through the portal that had formed from the paper, meeting Spike on the other side back in Ponyville Palace, Light swiftly wrote a note to all the Royals in the Hall to let them know whither they went, after which Light asked Pinkie why they had to return to Ponyville; she answered that they had to find and ask her friends to join them in order to fight and defeat the mean Shade.

After they finished writing the note, which they placed in Eclipse's lap, Light stepped through the portal as well, which closed and vanished behind them, joining Pinkie and Spike in Ponyville; Light stood looking at the space where the portal was, and they sighed deeply as a somber expression grew upon their face, before they turned back to Pinkie and Spike to tell them it was great to see them.

Both of the young ones promised Light they would not be away for long, and they could return at any time using the notebook, but it was best they made haste, and head to the homes of their friends to ask them for help; leaving behind all the Pillars and Boom, they left the Hall and Ponyville Palace thereafter, before Light asked Pinkie how she knew what to do, and where to all find their friends.

The young Pink Mare, bouncing alongside Light, who was carrying Spike on their back as they trotted to town, told them that after Grim had sent them back, she remained for a bit longer and spoke with Nox, Boom, and Grim, about what to do, and what to look out for; it was then, Nox gave her the bond with Nuntius, whom she promised was still there, even though neither Light nor Spike could see him.

Neither Spike nor Light questioned Pinkie, and they knew they had to believe her on her word, which they knew was as unpredictable as the weather; as they approached town, their pace slowed, and they asked Pinkie whither she wanted to head from here, to which she replied that she wanted to put away the notebook just in case, as she started bouncing towards the bakery, followed by Light and Spike.

At the bakery, just as Light and Spike entered the building, Pinkie bounced upstairs after greeting the Cakes, who politely and cheerfully welcomed the two, before they asked Light for their name, as they had not been acquainted; as Spike was served a gem cupcake, which was always kept in store for him, Light introduced themselves, and said it was a pleasure to meet the Cakes and their two foals.

While Pinkie was upstairs, and Spike was happily eating his cupcake, Light spoke with the Cakes for some time, making sure to lie down on the ground to avoid intimidating others with their size, just in case; despite the fact they were lying down, many Ponies in the building were still shorter than they, which made them feel uneasy, until the Cake twins happily trotted over and calmed their mind.

Looking up at the big Kirin with a Dragon on his back, the twins started to giggle enthusiastically and babble unintelligibly to their parents as they repeatedly pointed to the two, which made all of them laugh and smile; not long after, Pinkie reappeared, bouncing down the stairs, where she found, to her own delight and the relief of their parents, the twins happily playing with Light and Spike.

She stayed silent for a little while as the twins clumsily climbed over Light, who managed to catch them any time they started to slide off their scales, until they started yawning, after which Light slowly and carefully laid them in their parents' arms; with a smile on her face, Pinkie walked down the remaining steps to join the group, where she told Light and Spike she was ready when they were.

The two nodded and got up to leave, when the Cakes asked them to wait for a moment, as they grabbed a selection of sweet treats, which they placed in a bag they gave to Light, who graciously bowed to them in return; after bidding the Cakes goodbye, Pinkie lead the two outside, where she made a list of friends they had to reach out to, save for Twilight as she and Solar were already accounted for.

As Light was unfamiliar in town, they asked Pinkie where to head first, and she said:

"Let's start at Rarity's boutique, and go outwards from there.'
