After a busy week, a relaxing day in the park was in order; could one really blame the Queen Mother for indulging in one of her favorite pastimes? Dressed warmly for the season and with a basket full of cracked corn and spinach from her personal garden, she stood upon a bridge in the park overlooking the pond. The merry quacks of the ducks below painted a tender smile on her lips as she tossed another handful of kernels into water. An approaching figure garnered her attention, however, and she turned her head to look, her expression remaining one of serenity. She lifted the basket slightly in invitation. "Would you care to join?" she asked softly.

Last Minute Shopping

The trio had just finished another practice. As Claire seemed to have plans for that afternoon to evening, it seemed the perfect time for Cassie to drag Charlotte out to help with some last minute shopping, especially as she hadn't been able to buy anything for Claire without the concerns of her finding. Not to mention that this one the final day she could really shop before the stores started to close. Cassie had already got something for Charlotte. She was always an easy but, and Charlotte was a bit easier to work around when it came to hiding.

After waving their sister off, Cassandra immediately reached over, grabbing her sister in a playful headlock, stopping her from going back in the training room or leaving her side. Though, she did not hold on too tight, just firm enough to capture her sister. "No more practice. No song writing." She whined to the other. "I need you to help me get something for Claire."

Bartending was an interesting thing.

Kaya was never one to socialize with just anyone. Talking to people was overwhelming at best and anger inducing at worst, large crowds being the bane of her existence: they were too loud, the unpredictability of the noise too nerve wracking for her to handle, yet she was there. Working at a bar where customer service was a much needed thing.

This is different, though.

She felt in control.

"Chaos can be many things." She would know as chaos and destruction ran through her veins - a legacy that was forced on her upon birth. It was never a burden, but rather something that tasted of freedom and fresh rainwater, so she understood the beautiful brunette sitting at the counter. "It can be breathtaking and calming all at once for people like us."

[ N & Charlotte ] Asleep in a Nook

Despite how he acted growing up, one of the escapes that remained in his life even into his adulthood had been reading. Books, he found, had been places he’d rather be in than reality. So he had been sneaking into the library in the island clad in clothes that would keep him hidden from sight. He doesn’t really let that side of him be shown to others.

So that’s when he found himself in Lion’s Den, sitting in a hidden corner of the bookstore, tucked in with a novel in his hands as he lets himself escape into yet another written world. This time he’s exploring Velaris, taking in the sights in his imagination alongside the characters of the book.

He had sat there for hours with a small stack of books beside him on the floor, going through one novel after another before he would bring them to the counter to be purchased. Though with the hours going by, it seemed that his energy had also come to pass with the time as he nodded off into yet another land, but this time in his dreams.

It had been near closing when he nodded off, but with his headphones cancelling out the sounds of the real world, the announcement for closing hadn’t woken him up and he lsat there, leaning against the wall with a book laying open on his lap.

there are a few things that stop han jisung from just bursting into a room and going straight for his goal. the fact that said room is a book store and his goal is the girl standing behind the counter is so far down that list it might as well not even be on there.

so he strides across the distance between the door and the register, draping himself bodily over the space where usually people put the books they want to buy and looking up at charlotte with wide eyes. they’ve met maybe two or three times, the first time being when she saved him from some thugs and bought him a drink, but that’s more than enough to convince jisung that she is, in fact, a dear friend of his.

so when he spotted her through the book store window right as he was in the middle of pondering the great mysteries of life, there was only one thing to do: go inside and get her advice. so he rolls over until he’s on his back and can look up at charlotte upside-down.

“noona, what do you do when you realise you’re in love with someone?”

Expectant. Raiden was one of the several in the crowd waiting for the so acclaimed performance by the local band Hexed. To his surprise, they surpassed any unintentional expectation he had toward them; every band member had an indisputable charm, especially one that caught his attention. Her voice was pleasant to the ears and nutritious to the soul. The thunder god looked for a drink (non-alcoholic for now) to offer to the person on who he had set his sights on. Cautiously, he slipped through the people and finally found himself facing her.

"Hello." Raiden smiled softly. "Would you allow me to thank you for such a pleasant performance? Not just me but everyone enjoyed it. Although, I should speak for myself and tell you that I am fascinated with your voice." He paused for a moment, glancing at his hand. "Ah, also, this is for you," said the deity, handing her the drink.

Visiting the gym had always been an odd activity. The concept of repeating movements in a small area to improve oneself was still unfamiliar to Yeji but as people kept advising her to try as an alternative to running outside, it wouldn’t hurt to try. A full month of weekly gym visits had passed and every single time, Yeji had chosen to shower at home, but that time, she couldn’t bother to return to her apartment.

Destiny worked in funny ways, as on that same day, another demigoddess had been visiting the gym. A demigoddess Yeji had known to exist for a little while, considering this woman was part of a rather well-known band and the Japanese demigoddess always admired people that pursued their talents and passions. But as much as she was starstruck, Yeji was more focused on learning how to use the machines and how to avoid her tail and ears getting stuck on them.

An hour passed and she was now in the showers. The place seemed mostly empty, with the exception of one spot but the ventilation wasn’t exactly ideal and steam was easily filling the air. Yeji was about to get busy with her shower but a melodic voice caught her attention, with her ears twitching and Yeji held the towel around her body, feet stepping towards the lovely sound.

Before she realized, Yeji was peeking at the shower booth, completely mesmerized at how the other sounded. Yeji loved music and all she could think was how her violin would sound amazing with that voice. Adding that transe state with lack of common sense, it resulted with Yeji being in stepping int o a very personal space. “Your voice is incredible...” She mumbled.

"Hey, are you okay?"

Charlotte did not really know what she had just interrupted, but she was suddenly glad she had decided to stop by the convenience store on the way home - because whatever had been going on, the guy who had seemingly been hassling Aura sprinted off as soon as she made her presence known. She rushed over to the other girl, who was looking teary and rumpled and generally shaken up.

She and Aura weren't exactly friends, but they had seen each other around and had engaged in small talk once or twice; so, naturally, seeing the other girl in distress sent her into full mom-friend mode. "That guy didn't hurt you, did he? Are you hurt?" She asked gently, crouching and slowly reaching out a hand to touch Aura's arm.

"Why don't you let me to take you home, okay? I can cast magic spells, so I'll keep you safe if that guy comes back."

Aura had never been one for confrontation and knew no response except for fear when a strange man had started to hassle her on her way home. He was trying to invite her to some sort of party but Aura didn’t know the host, and she was certain that her mother would be against her going anywhere with a stranger. Before she knew it, tears had sprung to her eyes and her gaze was on the ground, trembling until Charlotte had come over.

“I’m okay,” she responded in a small voice, wiping at her eyes, “He wanted me to go to a party, but I didn’t think I should... I don’t know him.” Feeling the other girl’s touch, she reached out to hug Charlotte’s arm, nodding. Aura didn’t usually like to bother people but it didn’t feel safe to keep walking alone while the sun was going down.

“Is that okay?” she sniffed, “Thank you...”

Charlotte had been up most of the night wandering around the city, so she was feeling a little out of it as she made her way to The Flower Mill for a much needed double shot espresso. As such, she was fairly certain that it was her fault when she rounded a corner and ran right into someone, falling back and landing on her butt in a bit of a daze.

She blinked, looking up at the other girl for a moment before quickly scrambling to her feet. "No, no, I'm totally fine! Sorry, that was absolutely my fault. Do you want a coffee? I'm going to get one, so I could get you one too. As an apology for being a space-case and barging into you."

One of her favourite things to do is most definitely just looking at girls and admiring them in every way possible. So when she helps the girl up from where she’d ended up sitting on the pavement, she’s definitely looking, and she’s definitely admiring. She hasn’t come across many girls on this island who weren’t dropdead gorgeous, and it’s definitely been an issue. Where before she’d fallen for a girl here or there, she now finds herself attracted to almost every single one of them, and though she can of course keep a hold on her urges, she does find herself wishing more often that she could date maybe ten girls at once and live happily like that.

How does anyone ever pick a single partner to be loyal to for a lifetime when there’s so many interesting and wonderful people around to interact with in all possible ways? Right. Adaline doesn’t know the answer either. Which means that even though they have met just moments before and she doesn’t even know the girl’s name yet, she instantly starts grinning upon being offered a coffee.

“That’s an original way to ask a girl out for a drink,” she jokes lightly, letting go of the girl’s arms now that she’s steady on her feet again. “But I’ll take it for sure. I could use some coffee myself. Something sweet yet invigorating. Any suggestions?”

"Whoa, whoa-!" As his arms instinctively wrap around the young woman, Rowoon pulls her further out of harms way and a little behind him as he turns, glancing back over his shoulder to eye the... thing.

He may be hard to ruffle, being the son of a death god and generally stoic about most things, but that... that was disgusting. "What is that? Slime?" He asks, nose scrunching as he looks at the bulbous, oozing thing before realising... it was moving. With a quick shuffle of his feet he moves them further back out of harms way as it takes another animated slither towards them and Rowoon quickly realises the reason for Charlotte's distress. It was both disgusting and alive.

"Get behind me" he murmurs, turning fully towards it as his arms outstretch a little.
