3. Describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic

typically, something pops into my head and i either write it down on my notes app or directly in an ideas doc (i have, like, five or six separate ones), and then it just kind of haunts me - usually the notes i write are of specific scenes that involves a loose outline of stuff that happens and what people talk about with some actual dialogue mixed in. then when the notes get long enough, it gets its own document. i usually have everything plotted out, including the ending, before i start actually writing it, and i usually start from the beginning with opening lines and then i jump around. with multi-chapters, my notes are a little more organized and i'll write scenes individually. no matter what, it's a mess.

17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

throw a tantrum lol nah there's usually a source for the writer's block, so i try to pinpoint it. it could be something that's bothering me irl, a problem i haven't solved in the story itself, or that my creativity is wanted elsewhere. when i got the idea for that soul thingie, i couldn't work on anything else and it was super frustrating, but once i actually turned my attention to tst, i got into a flow and was able to finish it very quickly - and after, all other writing came easily!

22. Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc.)

the big ones are mystery and horror. i love reading or watching them, but i'm just not up for something that intricate and technical. i also won't write omegaverse/mpreg lol

23. Best writing advice for other writers?

this is gonna sound stupid, but write what you want and specifically don't try to make excuses for it. readers will notice when you hold yourself back and the product wasn't what you wanted it to be - the audience your work would speak to won't be happy and everyone else will be bemused. don't make something toothless just because you think you "should" - some fiction should have bite.

24. Worst writing advice anyone ever gave you?

don't edit as you go. HEAR ME OUT: the goal of this advice is well-meaning, yes, it's so you're not fiddling or pecking away at your work and therefore never getting words on paper - but there is something to rereading your work especially when you're stuck to better know what you've already established, if something needs to be elaborated on earlier, and to not repeat yourself.

1 - Jason Voorhees wasn't really scary; I get it he's a sentient killer hunting you down but.. I mean it's at a camp. There are cars. How else would you get there. I'm pretty sure they didn't need like ten movies (counting Freddy vs. Jason) of him purely killing teenagers. I know he's targeting them specifically again because of Pamela's murder but kill the members who killed her and move on??

2 - I don't get why girls in horror movies are so over-sexualised, it adds nothing to the plot and basically portrays every femme presenting character as useless aside from being some guys cocksleeve, only to die later in a pathetic way. (mostly occuring within the first 30 mins to an hour into films). (Also this one isn't a hot take methinks)

3 - imo Michael Myers would've been really easy to get away from. It's a guy with a knife in a mask. Think about it !! sure he MIGHT come back but ?? If you get him down long enough you can go to your car and drive out of there?? He wouldn't follow you to a whole new state just for a kill.

4 - Chucky was kinda stupid as a premise. Some dude reincarnated into a doll,, and the doll goes around and kills people. It's different and pretty original as a slasher, yes, but it genuinely makes me wonder how many times they needed to tweak the whole thing to get it to work in their favour. Aside from that logic piece, it, was a pretty awesome series!! The kills were kinda funny tbh (No hate to the Chucky series, I love Chucky)

5 - Alien was really really REALLY stupid as a premise methinks,, yes it was kinda scary like I'd be terrified if some alien stuck it's eggs in me and made me explode but ... 😦 Also I think that movie started mpreg /j AND who in their RIGHT FUCKING MIND produces ideas for a horror movie and goes ''well, what about aliens... Putting their eggs in people!!!'' (also potentially not a hot take I just need to express my frustrations because this movie was interesting in both positive and negative ways)

I fucking LOVE horror movies, like the weird lil rat I am, and slashers are a huge part of that.

I sat through the stupid ass collector movie, the absolute fucked The Terrifier and Hereditary is a movie i watch to relax?

Long story short, yes. Dead By Daylight is my version of a dating simulator, have you SEEN how michael picks you up?

Another thing, maybe TMI.

I was severely sex repulsed up until I was 19. Legitmately, due to trauma, I was repressed and the idea of sex had be fucked up. The fact it was quarantine had me just as fucked up and so I was binging all these horror movies, and I watched the House Of Wax. Not only was it a delight to see Paris Hilton (I love seeing her in horror movies, its such a fucking treat) and then I laid eyes on Bo Sinclaire. I don't think you understand, I was texting my childhood best friend about this man and it remains the most entertaining thing in the world. I wrote some angsty fluff between Crepeer and Billy, who he turned in my headcannon instead of eating/killing.

When he was first captured, Billy believed that he would surely die. He had only minutes after making the horrifying discovery of the scarecrow imposter. Talons dug into his skin as he screamed in agony like a scared rabbit being carried off by a hawk.

Billy could still remember, even after months of hibernation deep within the Creeper’s womb. Despite the monstrous acts he witnessed, the Creeper treated him with utmost care and love. 

That is why he wasn’t surprised when Peepers came into their lives, but it all happened suddenly, Creeper went out on a hunt to bring back much needed meat and parts for himself….but also came back with a child. Now he was nestled beneath his “father’s” wings, rested against his stomach as the child stretched and moved in their slumber, causing Creeper to softly growl before returning to his soft snores. His wing was soft, almost papery as it was thin but strong.

It was also warm within, that combined with the Creeper’s scent was oddly comforting to Billy. 

Suddenly he was pulled into a sleepy embrace and buried deep within the Creeper’s soft warm chest. Billy cuddled in, but wondered about his family back within his former life. How long has it been? Creeper refused to tell him, but he couldn’t explain the world changing so quickly. His mind wondered towards his brother, the last few words were an argument, was he still with their father?

His train of thought came to a stop as Creeper stroked his hair. “Are you okay kiddo?” 

“Yeah, just thinking…”

He paused while looking up, staring into a pair of dark brown eyes. “You should tell me, you been through a lot of change.”

Creeper frowned softly, almost feeling guilty for taking the boy out of his selfish desire to have his own family. He felt Billy bury his face into his chest once more as he deeply sighed. “Hey….I aint gonna be made if you tell me, you know yah can tell me anything.”

He said, lifting his chin as the boy sighed, before pushing himself away from the Creeper and sitting up as the monster followed. “You….you took everything away from me and expect me to be fine with this!” 

He spoke with bitterness in his voice, all of the anger and resentment he felt deep within was bubbling to the surface. “I loved them! How could you expect me to forget about them!?” The Creeper listened silently, softly nodding his head as his gaze never left Billy.

“I wasn’t a monster, I didn’t eat human flesh, I had a life and you stole it! I know how many years its been….”

Billy clenched his fists, tears streaming down his cheeks as he choked. “I hate you, I….”

In that moment he fell into a sob, heaving and shaking as the Creeper suddenly pulled him into his arms and held him close, being smacked and hit by him before the child burried himself into his father once more and slowly calmed to the rhythm of Creeper’s heart beating beneath. 

“I’m sorry….”

The Creeper murmured, pressing his lips against the top of his head. Billy only hiccuped, having released most of what had been building up inside him. Deep down he knew that his family was gone, but moving on was never in his reach. All he had left was the monster, and the monster treated him like its own. “Promise me that you wont take yourself away.”

Billy suddenly said as he caught the Creeper off guard. ‘’You have to promise me that you’ll never ever go away, no matter what you won’t leave me alone.”

His demands were childish, but Creeper was never one to break his promises. “I promise, Billy, I promise to always be with you and Peepers…..”

He rested his chin upon Billy’s head and held him in his tight embrace, purring loudly to soothe his own son. It would be a promise he held tightly onto until the end of time. He once more curled around Billy, closing his eyes as they once more fell into a sleepless slumber.
