You guys know what I really liked about MPM? Aside from Rocket's marvelous Pikachu kidnap scene and any wonderful scene with Latias. And how his Pokemon love him so much shshsj. Anyway-

It's how it really managed to show the growth and progress of Satoshi's character. It was the first time we've seen him tend to a Pokemon with own Potions and all. He's able to tell Latias is scared and vary of him. He's very tender when treating her. He's doing tons of stuff he's seen Takeshi do, or what he's done before with Lizardon, and so on. It really warms my heart to see him do these things, as it tended to be Takeshi or Dent or Iris or Citron who did these injured Pokemon tendings. ALSO, as someone who's very scared of Spear, his scene with Spear was so cute.

I really really really like the direction this final chapter is going so far, and I hope the quality stays the same!

Today's episode was so fricking gooooooooooddddddddd, opening is very low budget effort but works for nostalgia, and I got a sus feeling they might rotate endings each week because there's no new ending... this week was first ever ending, 151 (ironic).

Latias was recognized, but not explicitly stated to be m05 so it's fiiiiiine, but the fact it was recognized pretty much says all movies are canon, it's Latias' first appearance in non-movies lol.

Also Rockets were so fricking good I love them avsjjsksks.

But more importantly, NEXT WEEK HAS MOKUROH FRICKING MOKUROH AND HEIGANI AND HAHAKOMORI AND WANINOKO GUYS IT HAS FOUR FRICKING FAVS OF MINE THIS EP IS MADE FOR MEEEEEEEE AGSJSKKSKSLSLSLS

I am confused, where does the Azurill scene come in the- wait what if Satoshi brings in these 'mon and that's where Azurill comes in asjfgfshgfhfsgsffs.

I guess Shigeru in first ep is a possibility now.

EDIT: got suggested Satoshi might have bit of rotation going on and the Azurill scene is actually from Kasumi's ep so yeh. I'm buying it now. All is coming clear now-

There are now three eps worth of summaries for Mezase Pokémon Master series and Dent will appear alongside Takeshi's debut in this special series on ep 3! I AM SO HYPED DENTTOOOOOOOOOOOO-

Next week is Satoshi & Pikachu, Rockets and Latias, ep 2 features Kasumi and Satoshi fishing competition, and ep 3 features Takeshi and Dent in PokeCenter? And Hatterene kidnaps him LOL, I think Hatterene lore was something about vibechecks? Help-

Also ep 3 summary confirms Kasumi joining in, so yeh. From ep 3 onwards it's probably OS Trio journeying wherever for a while.

The OS vibes honestly feel real and now I wonder when Shigeru will appear. HMMMMMMM.

One week til Mezase Pokémon Master begins... and the countdown to Satoshi's final ep also starts clocking down...

Oh man ;V; I'm kinda scared to have high hopes for the series but then again, it IS supposed to be Satoshi focused full-on, alongside his 'mon maybe, any returning characters would just be there to help Satoshi's development move forward, or so I would assume.

The updated site (TV Tokyo's Pocket Monster website, official btw) is quite interesting btw, as it IS listing Croagunk as Takeshi's partner (correct choice, I swear Croagunk is most remembered partner of his, alongside Usokkie ofc! And Iwark), also Psyduck for Kasumi, so I guess there'll be some not-so-OS nostalgia too. Still, Takeshi dear, why do you keep changing outfits, asfhjgsfsgf. Better show us that Comfey too :D

MPM01 should also be 1000th ep for Musashi and Nyarth if I've heard correctly, I could be off by one ep too. Idk. But Kojiro is for sure ahead thanks to that one Royal Mask ep in Sun & Moon.

But um. Yeh. Looking forward to watching the special tomorrow that will have people talking about their favourite memories of Satoshi's journey I think? and then possibly some preview in general for the series, and then ofc there should be ep 1 preview? Or should there... actually not sure :D

But yeh. Getting ready for the beginning of the end.

So, been thinking about the summary for first ep of Mezase Pokémon Master Special series... Will be shortnening it to MPM from now on!

Nothing about MPM01 summary states the region Satoshi is traveling in, just that he's still on an endless journey with endless adventures, so... could it be possible that Satoshi ends up in Hoenn during the ep? Thus Latias encounter?

Idk. I'm just now fully jumping on "soaring ride Pokémon Latias" theory, haha.

But like, consider the final scene JN shows. MPM has to be after that scene, in my opinion at least. Then agaaain, did that scene look like the city from fifth movie? That would at least put him in Hoenn erm I mean wherever it was supposed to tale place. Man, I'm not sure what to think really, haha.

BY THE WAY, let me make it clear for everyone that Kasumi and Takeshi are NOT confirmed to appear in all of the episodes. They are merely mentioned to appear in the official premise article. Think of the poster as like Sun & Moon's poster with them. Possibly one or two eps tops to discuss the Pokémon Master thing with them, since they've seen his growth the most.

Whoever has said that they'll travel with him for all 11 eps didn't translate correctly. Hell, what need was there to translate, haha.

also... because i wasn't keeping up with journeys, i didn't hear about it before, so the fact that ash's goal right now being "to make more friends" is interesting... i'm not sure in what way it's interesting yet, but that & the fact that they're wandering around freely wherever the wind takes them stood out to me.

Well you guys can go on ahead and forget me ramblings here, Shigeru does have a chance of appearing in first ep since Okido lab seems to be happening there, ahsfgsjhgfhfsfs.

Interesting how people seem to have completely forgotten about Shigeru the moment Dent was confirmed for ep 3. Like... why are people theorising about other companion appearances when fricking Shigeru is still a confirmed appearance and unaccounted for??? XD

Yeh, I think I'm at the point where nostalgia doesn't work on me lol. I've known Fushigidane, Lizardon and Zenigame since childhood through the very few episodes I've seen of them, and I just, felt most bothered by how boring MPM05 was for me. It just felt too typical.

And everyone knows I hate "misunderstanding" plots and this was one of those, and not written in the most interesting way, so I just sighed at every single "i hate u" moment :'D Hell, Fushigidane was so OOC. Kinda feel like this ep is most enjoyable for those who the nostalgia worked for.

Interesting how to me, MPM04 was a REALLY good episode, truly enjoyable and really highlighted what I enjoy about Satoshi's character (same with MPM01 and MPM03), yet didn't really like MPM05 and I have issues with MPM02's overly-nostalgia-based-dynamics. As in, there was WAY too much of that bicker-bicker-nee-nee dynamic between Kasumi and Satoshi that I have ALWAYS hated, so much. I've never understood the appeal of that type of dynamic. Not ever!

Like, when it comes to OS, my favourite parts of it are when Rockets and brats works together against common enemy, and when the two groups somehow just, co-exist because they need to. Hell, ROCKETS are my favourite part of it all, not OS Trio lol. And my fav eps end up being the ones people consider pure fillers and not really necessary for overall narrative.

So like, MPM seemingly truly being just OS era nostalgia through and through, is starting to make me feel exhausted by it. The episodes that aren't nostalgia-heavy have been my fav. The ones with nostalgia, have been my least fav. Hell, MPM06 preview looked like it uses nostalgia too much, with "green hill" type of reusage of same old scenes and same old gimmicks and god, my interest in it dropped so fast lol. I'm only curious for the final Nyarth & Pikachu dynamic ep.

Thou this makes me think the opening was actually pretty spoiling, it shows the ep elements of what we're revisiting, no? How odd. :D

Anyway. I wanted to get this outta my chest. I would probably say that the nostalgia-fatigue I'm having is partly because of other franchises too, and it's just sorta, having an effect here too. And as someone who enjoys later seasons, the heavy OS-focus is just really boring.
