(rose) What does your character find attractive in other people?

both you and matty are very similar, so i reckon he does search for himself in other people. Outgoing, risqué, fun, and definitely more on the extroverted side. Emotional intelligence is something Matty values in a partner, communication being a huge factor for him especially with the kinks the two of you engage in. You're his first proper relationship, and he's yours (apart from phillip, but we don't talk about phillip.), so it's a lot of exploration and both of you make tons of mistakes along the way. Of course, you kiss and make up, the inability to stay mad at each other working in your favor xx mpind girlie is very grungy, think ripped tights and oversized thrift store sweaters (before it was cool), baggy jeans and tight, mesh tops. Matty loves how you dress, mirroring your outfits most of the time, the two of you sharing almost all of your wardrobe. It's part of the reason why he's attracted to you, which might sound a bit vain but its just the way he is.

(backpack) What items does your character usually carry? Do they have a bag?

Matty is chronically under packed for quite literally anything. You're the complete opposite, your seemingly bottomless pit of a purse housing everything from makeup to a spare shirt, endless lighters, crumpled up packets of cigarettes, rolling papers, a book (?), Matty's cd's (metallica, weirdly enough), an untouched packet of cigarettes, hair clips, and even a small travel sized bottle of lube Matty had managed to sneak into the internal pocket Eventually, he does get himself a bag, specifically a massive green GG&L purse with all the buckles and chains you could ever dream of. He loves that bag with all his heart, attaching even more accessories to it and filling it with useless stuff he shouldnt actually need, but still brings with him. That includes not one but two mp3 players, a small box full of rings that are either too big or too small (for "good luck"), tampons (the one thing thats actually saved your life, thanks matty xx), a full sized palette of eyeshadow (literally 24 shades, and for what??? he only really wears blueish-purple shades anyway, making most of it useless), and about six thousand markers to draw on every available surface in the city, despite your protests. He likes to mindlessly doodle on benches and lamp posts whenever you stop somewhere, ignoring the fact that he's vandalising public property (you can only really giggle at the cocks he draws across the metal railing of a park bench, adding detailed ball hairs as he cheekily looks up to see your reaction, cracking a proud smile)

Before your relationship the initial reaction would probably be something along the lines of "Mate....." and then relentless teasing because that wall is fucking ridiculous

Eventually once Matty starts developing feelings for you, he takes it apart bit by bit, leaving only the odd half nude from a fashion magazine up on his wall. You'd take the piss once he started going on about "I'm a new man, i only have eyes for you." being all sappy and romantic while you just roll your eyes and look over to the trash can filled with the photos, giggling to yourself.

💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc's negative traits?

I feel like we can guess this one, but Matty's need for constant attention might have some negative consequences for the people around him, especially the ones closest to him. Mpind Matty can also be super vain, paying close attention to his appearance to the point of obsession, his display of confidence crumbling a bit whenever he sees something off. An unplucked hair, creased makeup, it all bothers him so much he cant deal with anything unless he, in his mind, looks absolutely perfect. You try to convince him he's gorgeous no matter what, but it doesn't stop his nitpicking. He's also incredibly blunt, and doesn't realise when his words/actions might affect someone negatively. he is working on being a bit nicer sometimes, also respecting boundaries x

❤️ RED HEART — what are three of your oc's positive traits?

George is super good at making people feel safe and cared for, partially due to his natural build but also his inherently calming aura. He tries to be as accommodating as possible, even if his methods feel a bit off, or he sometimes comes off as awkward. Massive heart, very empathetic. Cries at films and does so with only a bit of shame, scared Ross'll take the piss out of him. Super sentimental about things, so he definitely still has that one hair tie you gave to him in P.E in year eleven and never asked for back x Memory like you wouldnt believe, incredibly considerate and files away little details like its his job. You mention your fav color is green? thats the color of the earrings he gets you for your birthday. You prefer sweet popcorn over salty? Only thing he'll get at the movie theater, just for you xx

You've previously mentioned that Matty lost girlie's trust when he started using again. Do you have any headcanons or ideas on how he builds that trust back up?

In my head Matty and Girlie's main thing is communication. A lot of talking, reassurance ect... A moment girlie really isn't proud of is that first bit after his relapse where she'd check over his body looking for track marks, knowing how much it hurt Matty seeing her be so distrustful.

It's really just her being with him and Matty telling her whenever the urge got so bad he wanted to relapse, and instead of using he goes with her to meet the guys, maybe they go to eat, anywhere really where she knows he doesnt have access to dope. So so so much talking and physical contact as well, which is important for both of them. It grounds Girlie AND Matty, being close to each other and the knowledge that their other half is safe x

Ross is the main chef and cooks most of the time. He’s the only one who actually listened in food tech back in school and can make something other than pasta or frozen fast food. The guys and you have at least one dinner a week where you sit around the table and have a meal together, giggling at Matty’s grimace at his curry, endlessly complaining about the “chewy meat”, and insisting on cooking next time. No one actually lets him cook, ever, because you all know he’d burn it all down if he ever got a hold of an open flame.

George has his moments where he gets super carsick, which prompts everyone to inch away from his side of the car as he rolls down the window, hanging his head out to try and curb the urge to yosh everywhere. Surprisingly enough, it goes away when he gets pissed, too busy trying to fend off an even more drunk Matty to realize where he is, thus making Hann sigh in relief at his car being spared.

Everyone knows Matty hates hates hates wearing his glasses, and has a knack for smashing into different furniture when he doesn't, especially small nightstands and sofas. His legs are littered with blue and yellow bruises because of this, which is part of the reason he doesn't wear shorts often, opting for long jeans or skirts.

Hann loves his bumper stickers, and has a bunch of them littering his car (whose color George thinks is hideous, hating the matted red). His favorite is his Forrest Gump “shit happens” sticker, that movie being his go-to when he needs a good cry. Even if you try to hide it, the rest of you cry like babies whenever that last scene comes on, the room filled with sniffles and clinks of cocktail glasses being put down and quiet “for fucks sake”’s while everyone tries to compose themselves before someone puts the light on. It's an odd sight, Ross and George rubbing their eyes and wiping their face, giggling at the others reaction like they weren't both sobbing their eyes out.

Hann is also the only one in the group that has everyones number memorized. You have Matty and Hann’s, George has Ross and Matty’s, Ross only knows Hann’s by heart, and Matty barely has his own down. Thankfully, its rare that any one of you is alone by themselves without their phone, so Matty not knowing his own mate’s numbers doesnt bring as many problems as you’d think.

I feel like it'd be super different but still amazing in its own special way!!

Introverted girlie might not feel all that great at parties, clinging to corners and spending most of the time there watching matty in his element, animatedly chatting to people before noticing the absence of his girl next to him.

Immediately he'd ask if you want to leave/go somewhere else, knowing how stressful large groups of people can be for you. But he is still human after all, and there have been a few fights where he had wanted to stay at the event, but you wanted to go home. You're no stranger to the odd domestic, and it usually ends on a compromise (e.g, you leave in an hour// you go to a different club/party/whatever)

Even if you are a bit more on the introverted/shy side, its still incredibly amusing watching Matty do outrageous things in public, drawing attention to himself and by proximity, you. he's a confident person overall, so his face just fuels that ever growing ego of his. Matty is a bit insecure about his teeth, but you assure him it adds to his appearance rather than take away, a sense of relief washing over him as you gaze lovingly, taking in every feature. He does wear makeup!! Loves to match the colors to whatever you're putting on and giggling as you try and snatch the palette back from him, holding it just out of reach. His makeup is stuff you've bought him or gifted to him, so when you do finally go shopping for his own products, he goes absolutely mental, trying it all the testers and samples like he'd never seen lipstick in his life. You eventually walk out, having spent an absurd about of money on massive palettes filled with all sorts of different colors and glittery shades, Matty so giddy to try them out he can barely contain himself Skincare was never a big thing for matty, his acne basically disappearing once he hit 17, his clear skin the stuff of models. He watches you put all these creams and serums on your face and doesn't understand why, even if you explain it to him a million times.

okay okay theres a bunch of info on this so here goes nothing: mpind matty's first kiss was a girl in his year 8 history lesson. She basically just asked if he would kiss her and he did, behind the bus stop after school. It was weird and uncomfortable, he recalls to you on a particularly quiet night on your sitting room sofa, chuckling as he speaks. Matty is a skilled kisser, but not in the way you would think. he likes to build up, touching different parts of your body to get you excited, wanting, before finally pressing his lips to yours. Like a sort of game of who-caves-first. His role is always driven by the way you react to him. You're particularly harsh and aggressive? He gives in and lets you push him against a wall, feeling you up, groping everywhere he can reach, desperate to feel you. You take to fisting his hair as your teeth clash, both your lipsticks smudging obscenely. You're a bit calmer? He takes over, grabbing you by the hips and pressing you flush to his body, letting you feel every inch of him against your thigh. Drinking in the soft gasps you let out like they'd save him if he got enough, hot skin against skin as the world blurs around you.

mpind matty gets very nervous very quickly when he's around people he doesnt know/people he doesnt like, so he can shut down super quick when in that sort of situation. Physical touch grounds him, whether it be from his mates or you, he's clinging to a familiar body to keep himself from freaking out. Squeezing your hand is his way of signaling he needs to get out, and the two of you then find a quiet spot to just sit and chat shit while he calms down a bit. He likes being held, his head on your chest or on your stomach, breathing in the distinct smell of you, your heartbeat loud in his ears.

(ballon) What does your character do at parties?

Matty loves loves loves parties sooo much, he's itching to go to one whenever he catches wind of it. Its an opportunity to dress up, experiment around with different hairstyles and whatnot, and also a chance to get absolutely pissed. He's the bloke dancing on the coffee table and sloshing wine everywhere. He's the one playing beer pong with shots of tequila and miserably failing to get his opponent (usually George) to drink, biting his lip in concentration as the few dozen people watching giggle at his struggle to stand up completely straight- You're usually the same, right by his side and on his team, drinking right along with him. Hann tries to get you to stop, even employing the help of Ross (who's equally as wasted as the two of you, but somehow manages to hide it better). Drunken walks home from house parties are always slow and tedious, Matty holding two pairs of heels while you carry your bag, filled with shots you both nicked from the poor, unsuspecting host. You've never gotten caught, thank god, and only do it if the music played had been particularly shitty (Matty's idea, of course xx)

(mango) What is your character’s general outlook on life? Are they a pessimist, optimist, realist or something else?

mpind Matty is an optimist at heart, doing his best to see the bright side of every situation. However, sometimes he takes this too far and ignores red flags or problematic situations in favour of having fun and 'dealing with it later' or 'everything will work itself out'. This can lead to fights occasionally, but nothing overly dramatic. I like to imagine mpind matty is deeply flawed, as is any other human being, and his tendency to brush of serious, emotionally damaging situations and label them as 'nothing to worry about' showcases that. I sort of realise this swerves a bit from the original question i hope u dont mind!!

(basketball) - Is your character physically active? Are there any sports they like to play/watch?

Matty isn't physically active himself. Physical education back in school was the bane of his existence, skipping it 9/10 times in favour of having a smoke behind the bike shed just off the campus grounds. He does like to watch sports, specifically football. The giggles you let out as he yells at the screen whenever NUFC is playing leave you breathless, making concerned eye contact with Hann as the other three, especially Ross, scream the place down.

this might sound incredibly basic and cliché, but the most important thing to him is you & Matty. He has no clue what he'd do without the two of you, without his crutch.

Mpind Matty loves fucking croissants for some reason, especially chocolate filled ones. Pastries in general more like, and just sugar overall which includes, but is not limited to, sweets, lollies, ice cream (he loves watching you eat these), and most important of all, your classic slice of disgustingly sweet american cheesecake.

George loves loves loves christmas. The act of gift giving, sending personalized cards and wrapping presents just do it for him, the whole cheery aspect of the holiday giving him something to look forward to every year. I think its pretty obvious what Matty's favourite holiday is: Halloween. Why, you ask? The house parties obviously, drunken idiots stumbling around in costumes, meaning Matty's totally in his element the entire night, dragging you around in your too-high heels to do pumpkin themed shots in some random blokes house you dont even know the name of. good times x
