wish i could write my thesis literature review in the alien language from Arrival. there is not a linear narrative here but a set of simultaneously interconnected ideas.

this essay is supposed to be on lucan how and why have i written six pages on greek historiography

i really thought my th*sis was gonna be abt battlefield aftermaths and landscapes but NO i have just written four pages on the roman calendar

dreading physically going back to college bcs a) i am inevitably going to say either “swagatha christie” or “forsooth” to somebody out loud and b) dorm infested with spiders

had a nightmare last night that m*ry be*rd Called Me Up to point out one million typos and minor errors in my th*sis :(

i love transparent post-it notes because ok yes they are useful for annotating without actually writing on the book itself. but more importantly when you take them out of the book you have no idea what the marks that used to underline things were saying was important! commentary without the text! sexy fragmentation!

one of the examiners is late for my th*sis viva so i’m just sitting in a chair outside some guy’s office suffering and dying and withering away
