A Comparison between Voltage Election JPN vs Overseas 

The pink heart on the right is the JPN ranking. The white dash line means does not participate. 

Please do not assume that the JPN fanbase is fewer than overseas just because of fewer votes. The truth is quite the opposite. They conducted the general election for the JPN twice in 2018. The one I have right now is the first one, the second one has the exact ranking design for overseas this year but for some reason, I do not have the full ranking. The positions in second-ranking do not change much from the first one but the top character in the second one had more than one million votes (yes, he is still Eisuke).

There will be an election again in early December this year in Koi+ (the JPN version of love 365). I will update this list again when it's done.

Author’s notes: This is a birthday fic for my dear @hifftn. Got the inspiration when I watched someone’s wedding video. Happy birthday, dearest Jazz! All the love, blessings and happiness your way.

Nomura was nervous. More than nervous. He shouldn’t be nervous. Everything went without a hitch. 

They were already married.

But he couldn’t help but be nervous. For he had never done before what he was about to do. 

The start of their meeting wasn’t as smooth. The situation itself was crazy. While he waited for someone to attend to him in the flower shop, his impatience got the best of him. What he didn’t understand was he wasn’t being ignored. 

She was deaf.

The date for that night didn’t go through but it was the start of his relationship with Jazz. 

She opened up a new world for him. He learned patience and humility from her. Persistence coupled with humor in all shapes that life came in. He opened and enjoyed life more. She had given him so much that he realized that another day spent without her, was another day of nothingness. 

Today was his wedding day. He got teased but tears appeared as he saw her walking down the isle. She was his. He was hers.  

There was a knock on the door that interrupted his short reverie. 

“Everything ok, back there?” the familiar voice of Hiroshi inquired. 

His best man got married a year of him. He teased Hiroshi of being tied down. Now, he understood the innate happiness that one found in belonging to their love. 

“I am,” Nomura chuckled. “I just don’t want to screw this up, you know.”

Hiroshi nodded. “I understand that. When Selina proposed we learn the tango as our wedding dance, I almost feigned that I sprained my ankle. I told her I have two left feet but she didn’t care.”

Both men laughed. 

“If I did it, so can you. Don’t make your new wife wait any longer.”

Wife. That word completed him and gave him that extra boost to step outside the room towards the middle of the ball room. 

There she waited by the wings under the pretense that he would start their practiced dance they rehearsed weeks before. Her smile was bright but a bit unsure. He signed her to wait. 

Then the strings of the song started. 

He took a breath and signed the next few words of this song.

The day we met, Frozen I held my breath Right from the start I knew that I'd found a home for my heart Beats fast Colors and promises How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid to fall But watching you stand alone? All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow

One step closer 

Her tears were brimming as he took a step closer to her.

Each sign took him closer to her until he stood before her. 

And all along I believed I would find you Time has brought your heart to me I have loved you for a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more 

Then he claimed her in his arms, unable to be apart from her any more. The couple danced, entwined with each other to soft instrumental of the song. 

“I love you,” she mouthed on his ear lobe. 

He shivered as he squeezed her to him. They swayed to the music of their forever.

Thanks to @flatsuke who gives me the full ranking of the second election of 2018 in Japan, I can put up the previous election that has the same theme with the election this year. The premise in Japan is the same as this year. Primaries and Main Election which has the top 50 characters.

Fun fact: Eisuke’s ranking comment in both Overseas and JPN have pretty much the same meaning.
