Have there been times the Turner parents have suspected something but shrugged it off?
They have never suspected Timmy Turner of anything! Despite often expressing regret or disappointment, they still very much love their son! And all the benefits he brings them!!
The Turners are a well established family in the neighborhood. It wouldn't bode them well to go around casting doubt against their own son. It'd affect their reputation terribly!
the way i see it, colin has three options for handling the repercussions of kissing michael on the pitch in front of everyone:
gatekeep: by some miracle no one caught the kiss on camera so colin's sexuality is kept between him and any fans who happened to be on the pitch near him. the safest option.
girlboss: keeley gets the pr challenge of a lifetime handling the story of the first active premier league player to come out as gay. rebecca is tall and powerful and intimidating in the press room making it clear that richmond stands behind colin one thousand percent. the most realistic option.
gaslight: straight-up blatantly lying. not because he's ashamed or because he thinks he can actually convince anyone that the kiss didn't happen, but just because he refuses to let it be a big deal. acts like he has no idea what anyone is talking about if asked anything related to his sexuality. he doesn't claim to be straight, mind you, he just pretends to be extremely confused about why they're asking because he never kissed anyone in the middle of a football pitch at the end of an internationally-televised game? when presented with photo and video proof of the kiss he says that was some other richmond player named hughes who wears a number 12 jersey. you don't know him, he goes to another school. the funniest option.
have u watched gavv's first episode yet? it is so good. it is so freaking good.
sorry to be getting to this so late, but I have finally seen the first couple of episodes! and! I am enjoying it immensely! :> I do think the second episode has a much better sense of what the tone and story is going to be; the first one had some interesting stuff going on, but felt more like a prologue than anything else. I'm feelin' it though! (and I hope Hajime is a recurring character, I liked his dynamic with Shoma and I was sad to realize he wasn't going to be part of the main cast. 😔)
it's still pretty early on (especially since I find riders tend to need about 10-12 episodes to settle into themselves) but I'm liking the intrigue they've set up, and the main characters seem promising! and I'm also very into the unexpectedly sweet reason for Shoma to be so obsessed with junk food. I wouldn't have thought you could do a tragic backstory for something like that, but...it kinda works?
there is so much happening with your display, i'm very interested to know how you're gonna get all of that to GR (fellow michigander here, v excited for your exhibit!)
Thanks! I have honestly made this so unnecessarily difficult for myself, but I'm really excited for the opportunity to get to share this with you all in person instead of just digitally, so I have, perhaps, just maybe, gone a little overboard. I hope you all enjoy it.
Anyways, the whole exhibit breaks down into pieces no longer than 5 feet. The sculptures themselves are small-- no larger than 28 inches at the biggest point-- and the display pieces are all designed to be movable by one person (me. I don't make anything I can't physically move because uh. That doesn't go well. ) The big arch is six modular pieces with a keystone holding it together! All of it is getting loaded into a buddy's trailer, and the plan is to install it this weekend. Assuming I actually get it all done; I am playing a dangerous game.
I’m a very city girl and now I’m imagining going to the country side and meeting farmtale Sans…
You moved there for some reason and need a place to stay, Sans was kind enough to give you somewhere to stay with some chores to do to lower your rent. You’re not experienced and you’re not that good with the chores- sometimes farm animals freak you out (cows are big, theres so many chickens, what iS THAT GIANT SPIDER?!), you can’t move heavy stuff around, even the tools are heavy for you.
And… Sans thinks you’re cute. He can do the work you do much faster than you could, but he likes your company. Every time you drop a stack of hay and panic he can’t help but chuckle and throw it on top of the pile in his arms. He likes how you’re impressed by his skill with tools and the fact that he can drive tractors. You may not be good at your job, but he likes that you want to learn anyway. You like the animals when he teaches you how to read their behavior better.
He really likes it when he saves you from a giant bug and you give him “my hero” eyes…
I know my experience is not universal, but I biked 5+ miles to do my errands today and I genuinely think we'd be much happier as a human collective if we increased residential density and switched to largely alternative modes of transportation.
Towards the Light
Sometimes you make a move into the unknown. You bring as much of your life as you can, but will it be enough to protect you? Even a place that is new to you has eons of history...
My shop.
Let's delude ourselves and imagine that this is actually a post credit scene where Aziraphale rethought his decision, stopped the elevator, apologised to Crowley and now they are packing their belongings to their Bentley to move together to their South Downs cottage and live happily ever after
OKAY SO FOR THE AUTHOR X EDITOR AU...What if Crowly is writing and absentmindedly begins to use his and Aziraphale's names during a sad romance confession that was just a bit to real to him and either before he can go and change them or just plain forgot, Aziraphale reads it.
