My Netflix Addiction - Equilibrium (2002)
Hanging out with my mom on a Saturday night is always an adventure. We’d just wrapped up watching Keanu Reeves in Constantine, a movie I’ve seen countless times but still thoroughly enjoy. As we started discussing other Keanu Reeves films, my mom reminded me he was also in The Devil’s Advocate. That sparked my interest immediately—especially since I mistakenly thought Jack Nicholson was in it…

Thanksgiving Horror Showdown: Boogeyman vs. Kristy
Tumblr media
In my latest review on Screaming Eye Press, I tackled two so-called Thanksgiving horror flicks: Boogeyman (2005) and Kristy (2014).
Let's start with Boogeyman. This film had the audacity to tease some Babadook vibes but quickly nosedived into mediocrity. I couldn't even muster the energy to give it my full attention; it became background noise while I focused on more important tasks. If you're into subpar horror, this one's for you.
Now, onto Kristy. Imagine my surprise when this film turned out to be a hidden gem. It follows a college student who, during Thanksgiving break, becomes the target of a group of satan-worshiping murderers. That's my favorite kind of murderer! The narrative is engaging, the setting believable, and the subtle, arpeggiated soundtrack adds a nice touch. It's one of those movies you hesitate to discuss because you want others to experience the pleasant surprise firsthand.
In summary, skip Boogeyman and go right to Kristy. Want more on the topic of Thanksgiving horror goodies? Read On https://www.screamingeyepress.com/review/boogeyman-and-kristy-thanksgiving-horror/

The whole werewolf concept is basically izuku gets attacked (sometime between first getting ofa and a little bit after the dorms were put in place) and doesn’t fully remember what happened but shortly afterwards, his senses are amplified and he’s faster/stronger. He chalks it up to training and ofa, but what he’s oblivious to is the fact that during the nights surrounding the full moon, he transforms into a bloodthirsty wolf-man
Meanwhile, Aizawa and some other underground heroes have been tracking down a “villain” with what they think is a wolf quirk. At some point, Aizawa finally subdues the villain and hands him over to the police. With a job well done he gets some much needed rest
The next morning, his students are panicking because they can’t find midoriya. While looking for his missing student, he gets a call from the precinct telling him something strange happened with the villain he arrested; the wolf turned back into a human and it’s a kid. A kid who is looking for Aizawa specifically. A kid with green hair and freckles.

Genuinely, the funniest way I can interpret Matpat's character in the FNAF movie is that he's a true crime girlie obsessed with the case of the missing kids at Freddy's. Like, he's one of those true crime obsessive weirdos who like to do armchair detective work.
-He has an entire theory board about what could've happened to the kids and will tell anyone who's willing to listen.
-He's actually got it right once (you know, kids' bodies in suits). But by then, he'd already called the cops about the case so much they just ignored him because they think he's a crack pot.
"Aren't you the kid who broke into the place to dismantle the pizza ovens because you were convinced their bodies were in there?"
"Yeah, but this is different-"
*click*
-He's one of the reasons they had to hire a security guard. If he was anyone else, William Afton would be worried about him, but no one takes him seriously (would you?), and he just hires someone to watch the place. They don't last long.
-The only change to canon being he's *slightly* more involved in the story when Mike wakes up to the guy trying to sneak in the backway.
-The guy, his name is Ness, as Mike finds out, starts talking at him about his theories but leaves when Mike threatens to call the cops.
-It's only after the animatronics start acting weird and haunted that he goes to the diner that Ness works at to see if the guy is *maybe* onto something.

🎃 Halloween Horror-thon with Noel Bleu 🎃
Every Halloween, I indulge my love for horror movies with an all-night marathon that dates back to my teenage years. This tradition has evolved into an annual event, where friends and family join for a night full of screams, snacks, and spine-chilling tales. Even my son Cairo is getting in on the fun—he kicks things off with some kid-friendly Halloween specials before passing the reins to the…
