A Guide On Purchasing Electric Bikes
Are you tired of the hassle of commuting to work or school every day? Do you want an eco-friendly and affordable alternative to traditional transportation? Look no further than electric bikes! Electric bikes, also known as e-bikes, are bicycles equipped with a motor that can assist with pedaling. They have exploded in popularity over recent years due to their convenience, efficiency, and affordability. In this guide on purchasing electric bikes, we'll cover everything you need to know about buying your very own e-bike.
What to consider when purchasing an electric bike?
There are many different kinds and styles of electric bikes available for purchase. First and foremost, think about what purpose the bike will serve. Are you planning on using it for commuting or recreational purposes? This will help determine which type of electric bike is best suited for your needs. Next, consider the battery life and charging time. The last thing you want is to run out of power mid-ride or have to wait hours for the battery to charge after each use. Look for bikes with longer-lasting batteries and faster charging times. Another important factor to consider is the motor power and assist levels. A higher wattage motor will provide more speed and torque, while different assist levels allow you to adjust how much assistance the motor provides during your ride. Comfort is also key when choosing an electric bike. Consider factors such as frame size, saddle comfort, handlebar position, and suspension options depending on where you plan on riding. Always check reviews from other riders before making a purchase. Reading real-world experiences can give insight into any potential issues or concerns with specific models of electric bikes that may not be immediately apparent through specifications alone.
The different types of electric bikes.
When it comes to electric bikes, there are several different types available on the market. Each type has its unique features and advantages that cater to specific needs. Here are some of the most common types of electric bikes: 1. Commuter Electric Bikes: These electric bikes are perfect for daily commuters who want a reliable, efficient ride that's easy to maneuver in traffic. 2. Folding Electric Bikes: As their name suggests, these e-bikes can be easily folded and stored away when not in use. They're great for those living in small apartments or wanting a portable option. 3. Mountain Electric Bikes: Designed with off-road capabilities, these e-bikes come equipped with sturdy frames, wide tires, and powerful motors to navigate steep hills and rough terrains. 4. Cargo Electric Bikes: Ideal for carrying heavy loads or transporting goods over short distances, cargo e-bikes have larger frames and stronger motors than other models. 5. Road Electric Bikes: Similar to traditional road bicycles but with added motor assistance for longer rides and steep inclines. No matter what your specific needs may be, there's an electric bike out there that can meet them all!
The benefits of electric bikes.
With good cause, electric motorcycles have grown in popularity in recent years. There are many benefits to using an electric bike as opposed to a traditional pedal-powered bicycle or even a car. One of the most significant advantages of motor for bikes is that they allow riders to travel farther with less effort. This makes them an excellent choice for commuters who want to avoid traffic congestion and save money on gas. With an electric bike, you can easily cover longer distances without worrying about getting tired or sweaty. In addition to being convenient, electric bikes are also environmentally friendly. They produce no emissions and require less energy than cars or motorcycles. This is especially important if you live in a city where air pollution is a major issue.
Another benefit of electric bikes is that they provide a low-impact workout. While riding an e-bike still requires some physical effort, it's much easier on your joints and muscles than running or other high-impact activities. The enjoyment of riding an electric bike is perhaps one of its finest features. Whether you're cruising around town or exploring new trails, there's something truly exhilarating about zipping along on an e-bike with ease. There are numerous benefits to owning an electric bike - from saving money on transportation costs to reducing your carbon footprint and enjoying the thrill of effortless cycling. Do your study to select the best model for your needs if you're thinking about getting one for yourself!
FAQ's about Electric Bikes
Are electric bikes slower than traditional bikes?
Not necessarily. While electric bikes do have a maximum speed limit, they also provide pedal assistance to make up for any decrease in speed due to the added weight of the motor and battery. How far can an electric bike travel on a single charge?
The range of an electric bike varies depending on factors such as terrain, rider weight, and weather conditions. Generally speaking, most e-bikes can travel between 20-50 miles per charge. Wrapping It Up
To sum it up, purchasing an electric bike can be a great investment for your health and the environment. When considering buying one, remember to take into account your needs, budget, and riding style. There are many different types of electric bikes on the market that cater to various preferences. The benefits of electric bikes are immense - they're eco-friendly, cost-effective in the long run, and provide a fun way to commute or exercise.

• Healthier Habits: Starts eating more than just junk food because you remind him he needs proper meals.
—
Mikey sat on the couch, legs sprawled, watching you move around the kitchen. He had a plate of curry in front of him—a meal you made, light on the spice because he hated too much heat.
“Y’know,” he mumbled between bites, “I don’t even like curry that much.”
You raised an eyebrow. “So why’s the plate almost empty?”
“Dunno.” He shrugged, looking away. But you caught it—the tiniest smile tugging at his lips. “It just tastes better when you make it.”
۶ৎ Ken “Draken” Ryuguji
• Style Upgrade: His hair stays neat, and he’s more mindful of keeping his tank tops clean. He even switches to cologne instead of relying on the scent of motor oil.

—
Draken stood beside his bike, wiping the grease off his hands. You watched him, arms crossed, eyes narrowing slightly.
“What?” He smirked, but there was a softness in his eyes.
“Did you… clean the garage?”
He shrugged, avoiding your gaze. “Thought it was about time. Can’t have you breathing in dust every time you come around.”
You tilted your head. “Since when do you care about dust?”
“Since you started coming by.” His voice was quieter now, almost shy. “Can’t have my girl dealin’ with all that.”
۶ৎ Keisuke Baji
• Style Upgrade: He still wears his leather jacket, but now it’s less ripped, and his boots aren’t caked in mud. He’ll never admit it, but he likes when you compliment how he looks.
• Healthier Habits: He cuts back on junk food (a little) because you nag about it.
• Emotional Maturity: Learns not to blow up when things go wrong, trying to stay calm because he knows you hate yelling.
—
Baji leaned against his bike, arms crossed, waiting for you after class. His usual wild grin softened when he spotted you.
“Yo.” He handed you a drink, your favorite.
“Since when do you remember what I like?” You teased, taking a sip.
“Since I started actually listening,” he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. “Don’t make a big deal outta it, okay?”
But the way his eyes lingered on you a little longer than usual? That said everything.
۶ৎ Chifuyu Matsuno
• Style Upgrade: He switches from mismatched outfits to more coordinated ones—sometimes even matching your color palette without realizing it.
• Ambition Boost: Becomes more serious about managing the pet shop, thinking about the long-term future.
• Better Communication: Learns to be more honest about his feelings, not just brushing things off.
—
Chifuyu stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his hoodie. You leaned against the doorframe, watching with an amused smile.
“New fit?”
“Uh… yeah.” He glanced at you, cheeks flushing slightly. “Figured I should stop looking like I just threw on whatever I found.”
You stepped closer, fingers brushing over his sleeve. “Trying to impress someone?”
“Maybe.” His voice was barely above a whisper, but the look in his eyes told you exactly who.
۶ৎ Kazutora Hanemiya
• Style Upgrade: Starts wearing softer colors because you told him he looked good in them.
• Healthier Habits: He’s more mindful of sleeping enough and eating better because you’re always worried about him.
• Emotional Maturity: Learns to control his impulsive outbursts, wanting to be a calmer version of himself for you.
—
Kazutora sat beside you, his head resting on your shoulder as you scrolled through your phone.
“Hey,” you murmured, “you’ve been quiet.”
“Just… thinking.” His voice was soft, barely above a whisper.
“About what?”
“About how… I’m lucky you stuck around.” His fingers brushed lightly against yours, his grip hesitant. “I’m trying, y’know? To be… better.”
And he was.
۶ৎ Izana Kurokawa
• Style Upgrade: Starts paying more attention to how he looks, favoring neutral tones that complements your outfits.
• Better Communication: He opens up about his fears and insecurities, something he never thought he’d do.
• Ambition Boost: He works harder to stabilize Tenjiku, not just for power but to build something stable for the both of you.
—
Izana stood by the window, staring out at the city below. You walked up behind him, resting a hand on his back.
“Lost in thought again?”
“Just… thinking about the future.” His voice was distant, but there was a softness in it.
“You’re not alone in that anymore, you know.”
His hand found yours, squeezing gently. “I know. That’s why I want to make sure… it’s a future you’d want, too.”
۶ৎ Nahoya “Smiley” Kawata
• Style Upgrade: His clothes get a little less chaotic, matching his accessories to his outfits (sometimes).
• Emotional Maturity: He learns to read the room better, understanding when to dial down the jokes.
• Healthier Habits: He cuts back on staying up all night because you nag him about taking care of himself.
—
Nahoya sat beside you, legs stretched out in front of him.
“Yo,” he nudged you lightly, “notice anything different?”
You glanced at him, noticing his shirt wasn’t as wrinkled, and his nails were… clean?
“You… took care of yourself?”
“Figured I’d start lookin’ decent since I’m always standing next to a goddess.” He winked, but there was a hint of sincerity behind the playful grin.
۶ৎ Souya “Angry” Kawata
• Style Upgrade: Starts wearing softer fabrics because you said they feel nice when you hug him.
• Better Communication: He opens up about his emotions more instead of bottling them up.
• Healthier Habits: He starts drinking more water and taking vitamins because you remind him.
—
Souya sat at the kitchen table, quietly sipping the tea you made for him.
“Did you… put honey in this?”
“Yeah,” you smiled softly. “It’s good for your throat.”
He glanced away, cheeks slightly flushed. “Thanks… I, uh, started taking those vitamins you gave me, too.”
You blinked, surprised. “Really?”
“Yeah.” His eyes met yours, softer than usual. “You… worry about me too much. I don’t wanna make you worry more.”
۶ৎ Takashi Mitsuya
• Style Upgrade: Starts incorporating subtle hints of your favorite colors into his designs.
• Ambition Boost: He becomes more focused on expanding his brand, wanting to create a future where you’re both secure.
• Emotional Maturity: He becomes more expressive, showing affection in quieter, meaningful ways.
—
Mitsuya sat at his sewing machine, fabric draped across his lap.
“What’s that?” You leaned over, curiosity piqued.
“Something… for you.” He didn’t meet your gaze, but the blush on his cheeks was impossible to miss.
“For me?”
“Yeah.” He finally looked up, a soft smile tugging at his lips. “Wanted to make sure you had something that… reminds you of me.”
۶ৎ Hajime Kokonoi
• Style Upgrade: He starts wearing softer tones that match your style, even ditching all-black sometimes.
• Ambition Boost: His business ventures become more personal, focusing on stability rather than just money.
• Emotional Maturity: He learns to prioritize love over material gain, valuing your presence more than anything.
—
Kokonoi sat across from you at the café, his usual suit replaced with a sweater in a soft shade of cream.
“New look?” You teased, eyeing him with a raised brow.
“Maybe.” He sipped his coffee, avoiding your gaze. “Figured… I should try something different.”
“Because of me?”
His lips quirked into a small smile. “Because I want to be someone… who fits into your world.”

Ateez as Romance Tropes
The one with the flower crown
Other members

Mingi x reader
Genres and warnings: biker Mingi, preschool teacher reader, strangers to lovers, established relationship, mild mature content, fluff, happy ending
Word count: 2.8k
Mingi's black and white world became a burst of colours once you entered, and he wants to seal the deal with a flower
Two years ago, one of Mingi's worst days ever was about to become the best day of his life. The day he met you, the love of his life. Mingi wasn't usually one to express his feelings out loud, but you brought the romantic side out of him.
His new bike had just crashed, the engine shutting off completely in the middle of a secluded road. He loved riding his bike along the forest roads, but today just wasn't meant to be. Luckily, just as he was about to give up hope, a small yellow Mini Cooper pulled up beside him.
"Hey there, need any help?"
When he took a closer look at the person behind the wheel, his breath stopped. You were the most gorgeous human being Mingi had ever seen in his life. Your smile was contagious, but he had to hold himself together. Clad in ripped jeans, a black tank top and a chunky leather jacket, with his Harley next to him, he was the epitome of a bad boy. How on earth he drew you in, you didn't know, but those big, doe like eyes sealed the deal.
"Oh... Well, if you know how to fix a bike engine, then yes. If not, move along."
Okay, Mingi had to admit that was kind of rude to say, but he panicked. There you were, in your white summer dress all cheerful, willing to help a stranger. Did you not know about stranger danger?
Instead of taking offence to his response, you only chuckled and got out of your car. You were a lot smaller than him, and it stirred something deep inside of him.
"I hate to disappoint you, but the only bike I can fix is the one you have to pedal, so we're out of luck. But, I can drive you into town if you want?"
Mingi scoffed, trying to avoid looking into her eyes.
"Aren't you supposed to be scared of a stranger? How are you so willing to help?"
You smiled, stepping closer to him and checking him out.
"You're Song Mingi, right? You come to pick up Jiwoo from preschool once in a while?"
"How do you know that?" He asked, his brows furrowed.
"I'm teaching the class next door, so I see you sometimes. It's hard not to notice you, dressed in chains and leather all the time."
"Hey, you make it seem like I'm into some S&M type of shit, you know?"
You put your hands on your hips, shaking your head.
"Language, mister."
"Sorry." He immediately responded, a bit flustered about the impact you had on him.
"So, do you want a ride or not?"
Two years later, you were living with him in the apartment above his workshop, all decked out in flowers and fairy lights. Mingi let you decorate the place however you wanted, and he even stayed silent when you brought fresh flowers into his shop.
His friends were always ready to tease the bad boy, but Mingi never complained. Sometimes, you wondered if he would think you'd be ruining his image, but Mingi couldn't care less. As long as his princess was happy, he was too.
"Sugar, are you home?" His deep voice boomed from the entrance.
"In the kitchen!" You shouted, continuing to stir the pot with your strawberry jam.
"Ooh, it smells nice in here. What is my sugar plum making?"
Two strong arms wrapped themselves around your waist, and you leaned back on his sturdy chest. The scent of leather and motor oil wafted into your nose, and the smile on your face was inevitable.
"Strawberry jam. I went to the market after preschool, and couldn't help myself when I saw them."
"You should always act on your impulses, really. That way we can have fresh jam all year around."
"Are you saying I'm impulsive? I always have a plan!"
Mingi chuckled, strengthening his hold on you.
"Oh, like the time you bought red hair dye and cried when it actually turned out red?"
You gasped, leaving the spoon beside the pot and turning around in his grip.
"Well, you said you liked it!" Your arms went up to his shoulders, grabbing the lapels of his jacket.
"I would like you even if you were bald. Hair doesn't matter to me. Oh! What about that time you wanted to get a tattoo like me, but cried when the artist showed you the needle?"
"Hey, I wanted to do it for you! You wouldn't stop laughing after we left the parlour." You pouted, hiding your face in the crook of his neck. Well, trying to, because he was too tall for you to reach properly.
"Sorry, sugar. You were just too cute."
Mingi placed a kiss on your hair, running his fingers through it. He missed you today, more than he could explain. For some reason, whenever Mingi is stressed his only thought is to come home to you, and today has been awful.
"Want to know something?" He whispered into your ear.
"What?" You asked, lifting your head to look into his glossy eyes.
"I couldn't stop thinking about that little number you wore to bed last night. It made it really difficult to focus all day."
You blushed, hiding your face into his chest now.
"Oh, stop it. I thought I looked funny. Lace isn't my thing if it's not on dresses."
"It really, really is. I think you should go put it on again, let me see it in daylight. In fact, that's what you're going to do, because you're my good girl, right?"
You shivered, lifting your head again. Mingi was in the mood, that much was obvious. But there was something in his eyes that told you it was more than just horny desire.
"I-I'll go put it on. Turn off my jam, don't let it burn!"
"Yes, ma'am." He laughed, pinching your ass cheek lightly, making you yelp as you walked away.
Mingi was left alone in the kitchen, stirring the pot with delicious homemade jam once more before turning off the stove and leaning against the counter.
His thoughts were filled with you, even when you were literally in the room next door. It was inevitable at this point. His day started with you wrapped in his embrace, sharing light kisses and meaningful words. It ended the same, but he loved indulging in your soft body after the long hours he spent away from you. Taking off your white and pink dresses, removing the bows and clips from your hair. It brought him peace, something he longed for ever since he was a rambunctious teenager. People tend to stare at the two of you when you walk down the street. They probably wonder what a lovely girl like you did with the dark giant. What they didn't know was that you, and Mingi, loved the differences you had. You had a strong man by your side, always ready to protect you and care for you. He had someone that listened to him after he got too into his own head to think straight, always there to ease his worries.
You two complimented each other more than others could see, and he always called you his little sanctuary.
His little, too sexy to be true, sanctuary.
"I'm ready for you, stud."
Mingi lifted his head, his breath getting caught in his throat. You were a dream come true, all wrapped up in white lace. It made him wonder what you would look like in another white ensemble, walking down a flower path to him.
"My, my... What a delight."
He came closer to you, making you walk back into the wall. His large form towered over your small one, crowding you in with his arms.
"Say, my little sugar plum, can I have a taste of you? I've been craving something sweet all day."
His lips brushed against yours as he spoke, one of his hands making its way down your body until it reached the edge of the lacy nightgown.
"Hm? Can I? You know I'm not a patient man."
You took a deep breath, placing your palms on his chest.
"Y-Yeah. Yes. Yes, you can."
"That's my girl."
With that, he slowly got down on his knees, lifting the edge of the flimsy fabric up.
You were in for a long night.
.
.
"Song Mingi, you look like you just won the lottery. You haven't stopped grinning since this morning. What's gotten into you?"
His best friend and trusted worker, Yunho, asked.
"Oh, nothing in particular."
He usually shared every detail of his life with Yunho, but he couldn't tell him about the way he enjoyed your body into the early morning hours. You went to work sleepy, but incredibly satisfied. The same thing applied to him. His greasy hands continued working on a broken car motor, the smile never leaving his face.
The day went by quickly, and before he knew it, you were entering the shop with your hands full of bags.
"Hey there boys, how's it going?"
"Y/N! Lovely to see you!" Yunho shouted from across the garage, walking over to you. You stood on your tip toes, giving him a peck on the cheek.
"Likewise, Yunho. Now, where is my baby?"
You stepped around a giggling Yunho, walking over to your boyfriend.
"There you are! Look what I have!"
Mingi couldn't even get a word in before you started pulling out what seemed like fake flowers from your bags.
"The spring festival is coming up, so we're making flower crowns at the preschool. Your niece Jiwoo is coming to the workshop tomorrow as well."
"That's cool. But why did you bring all of this home?" He asked, trying not to dirty the flowers with his greasy hands.
"Well, I have to make a few crowns as an example, so I'll head upstairs to start. I'm so excited! I even bought a new dress to wear! I'll show you when you get done with work."
You leaned up to give him a quick kiss, grabbing your bags and heading towards the door.
"Bye boys, have a nice day!"
"Bye Y/N." Yunho waved, looking over at his friend. It was obvious Mingi was in love, but his next words shocked him a bit.
"Do you think getting married in a leather jacket is not acceptable?"
"What?" He asked, dumbfounded by the sudden question.
"I guess I'd have to suck it up and wear a suit. Damn it!"
Mingi started rambling quietly, turning around to continue working on the motor. Yunho stood frozen, realizing what his best friend had in mind.
"Hey, I better be the best man or I'm throwing a fit at your wedding."
He only got a chuckle in response.
.
.
The apartment was filled with a nice smell of Mingi's favorite dish. Another reason why he loved coming home to you. He mentally added that to another list of reasons, soon to be revealed.
"Mingi! Hurry up, I need your help!"
He took off him combat boots, hanging his jacket on the rack next to the front door. His feet took him to the living room, and he had to hide the huge grin behind his hand.
There you were, a colourful flower crown sitting on your head, surrounded by dozens of smaller crowns.
"I got a bit carried away." You laughed, folding another fake stem into the crown you were currently making.
"I can see that, sugar. What do you need me for?" He asked, sitting on the floor next to you. He stood out like a sore thumb, in all black next to the rainbow explosion in your living room.
"Well, I wanted to make one for you, too. But I need to measure your head first."
You took a measuring tape, not waiting for Mingi's response before wrapping it around his head.
"Okay, got it. Go eat while it's warm, I'll finish this one and then I'll be all done."
It was funny how you shooed him away, but Mingi only chuckled and went to do as he was told. You chatted with him while he ate, wanting to know how his day went. He heart softened, noticing how you listened carefully even with your hands full. You really cared for him, and Mingi was falling in love more and more as each second passed.
Without a second thought, he marched over to you again, sitting down and wrapping you into his arms.
"Hey there." You laughed, surprised by his sudden affection.
"Hey. Sorry, I can't seem to stay away from you lately."
"It's okay, I don't mind one bit. Here-" You turned around and straddled his strong thighs. There was a crown in your hands, a mixture of red and white flowers. You patted his hair, placing it on his head and arranging his bangs. Once you were satisfied, you placed a kiss on his nose and smiled.
"You look so pretty baby." You cooed, pinching one of his cheeks. Mingi blushed, flustered with your words. Usually it was the other way around, but Mingi realized the impact you had on him.
"Do you have any more flowers left?"
You nodded, motioning behind you.
"A bunch, look. There's tulips, lilies, daisies-"
"Give me a daisy."
You were a bit confused, but you reached over a picked a small one up. Handing it to Mingi, you watched as he twisted the wired stem around. He made a circle with it, with the daisy on top. It almost looked like a ring, but you he was just being silly, right?
"Y/N, you know how much I love you, right?"
You nodded, finding it difficult to form a sentence.
"You... You brought so much joy, so much colour into my life, I will forever be thankful. I know I'm not the most posh man you've ever met, but I'll try, for you. I'll even wear a suit to our wedding, I promise!"
He paused, realising what he'd just said. Your eyes widened, confused by his sudden confession.
"Mingi..."
"Oh crap, I can't even do this right." He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to get himself together.
"What I was trying to say is... Y/N, my sugar, will you marry me? Will you make my life even more colourful?"
He lifted the little flower ring up, holding it out to you so gently, with eyes full of adoration.
You smiled, your own filling with tears.
"Oh, Mingi... Of course I will marry you, you silly little man!"
There was no chance for him to say anything, because you smashed your lips onto his. Your teeth bumped, the kiss soon turning more passionate as his arms wrapped around your waist. Yours were holding onto his cheeks, trying to pull him as close as possible. You both smiled into the kiss, parting to look into each other's eyes. That's when you noticed the tears brimming in his.
"Here, sugar, you forgot your ring."
He took your hand, placing the little daisy ring around your finger. He kissed your hand, cradling it to his chest.
"I promise I'll buy you a real one tomorrow, this was kind of... Not planned."
You chuckled, kissing him again. "I can see that. Don't worry, this ring will do just fine."
"Y/N, love, you deserve one that will shine as bright as your eyes. But wear this one until then, the world needs to know you're mine."
You wrapped Mingi into a hug, his arms tightening around you. The two of you stayed like that for a while, with flower crowns surrounding you, the one on Mingi's head a bit crooked from all of the kissing.
.
.
"Dude, is that a new fashion trend? What's with the crown?"
Yunho chuckled, watching as his best friend moved around the shop in greasy overalls with a flower crown on top of his head.
"Y/N made it. We're going to the spring festival in a couple of days, I'm just getting into the mood."
Yunho nodded, hiding his grin behind his hand.
"Well, it suits you. It's surprising how much, actually."
"Yeah, you should see Y/N's. It suits the ring I got her this morning. You should take a look at it."
Yunho froze, watching as his best friend grinned, taking a little box out of his pocket.
"You... You're asking her to marry you?"
"Oh, I already did yesterday. It was kind of impulsive, I know, that's why I didn't have a ring ready. But Yunho... She's the one, man."
His best friend waked over to him, pulling Mingi into a hug.
"I know that. I knew it the first time you introduced her to us. The look on your face was all it took for me to figure it out."
"Am I that pathetic?" Mingi chuckled, handing the box over so that Yunho could see the ring.
"No, you're just in love."
The men smiled, watching as the little diamon ring with a daisy twinkled in the morning sunlight.
Mingi could only wonder how much it would shine once it was placed on your delicate finger.
It couldn't be brighter than your smile though, that's for sure.

Mikey x reader short drabble!
timeskip: 19 year old Mikey. Yknow that one Mikey before manila? The one with the short blond hair? That one!🥰
Slight NSFW warning!
………………………………………………………………………………
You and Mikey were in the most heated make out sessions you ever been in. In his garage room, in his bed, on his lap, and door locked. The tension was real. His shirt was off and his veiny arms were around your waist, squeezing every so often. Your hand cupping his cheeks as you both fought for dominance—he wins every time though.
You letting out whimpers every so often as unravels you. Your hips grinding from time to time. You guys done it before, but not really often. You’re busy with college as he is he. He spends time hanging out with Toman, you’re there too ofc, but every so often, you two share intimate stares. He’s drilling his eyes on you when you’re laughing with Baji or Mitsuya. You’re admiring him as he tells a funny story. Again, the tension is there but you guys simply didn’t have alone time together, especially not sexually.
Now you guys finally were able to hang out, alone. Telling him stories from your college as he listens, replying with similar stories, him telling you crazy moments from his fights with Toman. Playing games with him, reading together. But it just got so heated, his loving gaze on you as you read the book and when you finally looked at him back, he pounced.
That’s how it led you guys here, tongues wrapping around each other as saliva drips down your lips. When you final let go for air, panting heavily with your lovesick eyes, he smiles lovingly as he catches his own breath.
“You said you had a bad day?” You asked, tracing his collarbone.
“I already told you about it, I really don’t wanna think about it.” He pouts, already rolling his eyes.
He told you about how annoying this one gang was, the leader trashed his bike terribly. Now it was in Draken’s motor shop in repair, he couldn’t ride it for a week.
“How bout I help you relieve some stress?” You asked innocently. “You always help me…I wanna make you feel good..” you said, your eyes resting. He
He looked confused but then it finally clicked.
“Baby, you don’t have to-“ he started before he got interrupted.
“But I want to, I wanna make you feel good..please~?” You stared at him, with your begging eyes. Oh your eyes, only if you knew how much he adored and admired you.
He nodded slowly. “Please baby, I need you.”
You giggled as you got on top of him, your hips sitting on his. His head looking up at you as you captured his lips again, before trailing your soft lips down his chin, neck, finally his chest. You sat up and clutched the hem of your shirt.
“Do you want me to take it off?” You said, teasingly.
“You really don’t have to.” He said hesitantly.
“Mikey~~” you teased as you giggled.
“Yes please” he begged shamefully. You knew Mikey was good with his words, getting him to beg was always tough, but you knew how to melt him. That’s why he loved you so much, you always challenged him. Which is not something he received often. You smiled as you chucked taking your shirt off, revealing your baby pink bra. The bra stap perfectly falling off your left shoulder.
You smiled as he admired your face, then his eyes traveled down, admiring your goddess-like body. He always knew he hit the jackpot, but now it’s official. He couldn’t help himself as he rose up and kissed you, trailing down your chin, then to your neck. Leaving hickies behind. You let out a soft hum as he continues, nipping your sweet spot, his hands where they were once on your waist were now softly cupping your breast.
He grinds his hips on yours, earning whimpers from you.
“Fuck, I love you so much, baby” he said, his voice muffled from his attacks on your cleavage. You softly scratched your fingers through his messy golden hair. Rewarding yourself with his kisses.
“I l-love you too~” you said. Love honeyed your voice. You were definitely down bad for him. The best part is that so was he….

Enjoy everyone, sorry I didn’t go all the way. I’m not confident in my NSFW writing skills🫣

childhood friend! Shinichiro Sano

part 1 | part 2 (here)
childhood friend! Shinichiro who matures quite significantly by the end of highschool, no longer asking out girls at school anymore much to your surprise
"Woah, look at you."
"Hm??"
"It's been months since you last asked out some random girl. What happened to the women obsessed Shinichiro I know?"
"Shut up, it was just a phase. Besides, you made me open my eyes in a way."
"How so?"
"I guess... I'm just waiting to ask the right person out now."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who invites you to witness the disbandment of the first generation of Black Dragons, despite you not being associated with his gang at all
"Why do you even want me to go? The people I know are only just going to be Takeomi, Waka and Benkei."
"Because I want you to be there. Is there any better reason other than that?"
"I suppose not..."
"And maybe it's also the fact that I need someone to watch over Manjiro haha..."
"I knew it."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who gets upset frustrated when you chose to ride with Takeomi instead of him on the day of the final gathering (he couldn't complain about it to you though, you made a fair point)
"Hey come on! Why are you going to ride with him? Takeomi's a worse rider than me y'know."
T- "Fuck off Shin. You don't worry about me stealing your girl from ya'."
"But you are a reckless rider-"
"Come on Shin, you can't expect me, you and Manjiro to be able to sit in one bike, can you? One of us is surely gonna fall off. I'll be fine with Take-chan, okay?"
"Fine..." (He was not fine with it)
childhood friend! Shinichiro who you make fun of when he comes over to you after the disbandment of the first generation of Black Dragons bawling his eyes out (you were prepared for this outcome)
"Glad to know you're still the same crybaby Shin I know."
M- "Haha! I'm gonna tell Emma you're such a crybaby."
"Cut it out you two! This—sniffs—is a special moment...!"
"You're lucky I brought tissues to wipe your tears away."
"I can't believe you know me that well."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who gets used to you coming over to the Sano household unnanounced whenever you pleased, not that anyone minded, since they all loved your presence
"Emma, be a dear and wake up Shin? Smack him if you have to."
E- "Okay!!"
"Woah, woah, there's no need to smack any—yawn—one. And why are you here?"
"Emma wanted me to teach her a new recipe to make for breakfast. So here I am!"
"And you decided to come over this early??"
"It's 7am Shin. Besides, don't act like you don't like seeing my pretty face the first thing in the morning~"
"Shut up." (Spoiler, he does)
childhood friend! Shinichiro whom you never grow apart from even after highschool, and you both started going on different paths, him opening up a motor bike shop while you started going to college and applied for a part time job as a cashier near the vicinity
"Wait, the shop you're working at is the one down the street, right? Just a few blocks away from my shop?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Great, looks like I can go say hi to you whenever I want."
"Don't you dare do something stupid to get me fired, Shin."
"No promises, ma'am."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who after miserably failing 5 times asks you for your help to bake a cake for Emma's birthday
"And what is this supposed to be?"
"Clearly, it's supposed to be Ariel, y'know, the princess mermaid??"
"That's your best attempt at making an ariel themed cake?? Now I know why you were begging for me to come over when you called me."
"I blame it on Manjiro for ruining the frosting."
M- "Hey! It was you who ruined it."
"So not true."
"I think the both of you should just shut up and help clean up this mess first."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who's gotten used to his siblings asking him where you were whenever you weren't seen with him and getting teased about it
E- "Neh, Shin-nii, where's [name]?"
"Probably stuck in another class, why do you ask?"
E- "I miss her."
M- "Idiot, we already saw her this morning."
E- "Hey! Don't act like you don't want her to come and play with us too!"
"Seriously you two, sometimes I wonder if I'm your older sibling at this point, with how much you ask for her."
M- "Shinchiro, we all know you love her as much as we do, maybe even more~"
"Shut your mouth Manjiro 💢"
childhood friend! Shinichiro who always shows up to your workplace when your shift is almost going to be over, always claiming that he was hungry and wanted to buy something, when in reality, he's there to send you home
"So..."
"And what the hell could you possibly want from this humble store, Shin?"
"Woah, woah! Can't a customer walk around the store to see what they want to get?"
"The last time you were here you knocked down a stack of cans on display, the manager almost reduced my paycheck because of that."
"In my defence, I didn't see the stack of cans."
"Suree you didn't."
"Hey, come on now! You know I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize your job.. on purpose at least...."
"Seriously?"
"Seriously. Now, would you be so kind to get me a pack of cigarettes, y'know, for a very dear friend of yours?"
"The only think you'll be getting from me is a pack of gum, rotten breath."
"Rude... now come on, when does this shift of yours end anyways? Let's get dinner on the way back."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who becomes your gossip and vent buddy whenever he sends you home after your shift, with him hanging onto every word you say, and hating on whoever you hate even if he doesn't know who the hell they are
"Argh, goddamnit, won't she just give me a break already?"
"Who? Wait—no, let me guess. Is it that girl from your econs class? What's her name again? Ka—Ka something..."
"Kazumi. Wow, didn't think you'd actually remember, well somewhat remember at least."
"With how much you complain about her, who wouldn't? But let me guess what she did to aggravate you this time."
"Go on. No guarantee that there'll be a prize for that though."
"She ditched a group project discussion again? Or she claims she's too busy to complete her part of the project when in reality she's going on parties and all that?"
"Mix of both actually, so congrats! No prize for you though."
"Aww. And here I thought you'll reward me for being a good friend."
"Argh, I should ask Takeomi or Benkei to intimidate her into actually taking this group project seriously or something..."
"Why ask them when you have your number one ride or die partner next to you to do so?"
"What'll you do? Intimidate her with the 20 rejections you've gotten? Pfft, she might even make that 20 become 21 before you intimidate her."
"I thought we swore to never talk about that ever again 💢"
childhood friend! Shinichiro who's grateful to you for bringing him his lunch to his shop whenever he leaves it at home and enjoys groans whenever you nag to him about the importance of not skipping any meals
"Guess some things will never change, huh?"
"Huh? Oh, is that my lunch?"
"No, no, it's my supper."
"Ha. Ha. Very funny [name]."
"I deserve more credit for making sure you don't skip your meals."
"Is that so? Would you like me to get on my knees and thank you? I can certainly do that."
"You and your cheesy lines... when will you learn to remember to bring your own lunch to work? You're pulling off the same shit you did back when we were in highschool."
"Maybe I just like your meals better than mine..."
"...??!... That... That still isn't an excuse for you to not bring along something to eat, dumbass. What would you do if I decide not to check in on you, hm?"
"Probably starve to dea-"
-smacks his head-
"Oww??? Alright, alright, sorry I guess, 'mom'. I won't purposely skip my meals ever again..."
"Good... next time, just... ask if you want me to cook extra for you."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who notes how you start to stand one arm's length away from him whenever you're with him, and when he asks you about it, becomes visibly distraught to hear you say he reeks of cigarette smoke
"Hey... why're you standing so far away from me? Don't tell me you came over to my shop just to see me work from a distance now.."
"You just stink, that's all."
"What??!? I definitely don't stink. I took a shower this morning, and I'm not covered in grease or anything..!!"
"It's that smokey smell that's always lingering around you. Y'know, because you like to smoke every now and then.."
"Huhh?!? What're you saying!!"
"Don't tell me you don't reek of cigarettes Shin. It's blatantly obvious, I can probably even smell you from a mile away like this."
"WHAT?!? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THIS EARLIER???"
"Because I didn't want you to make you self-conscious, stupid! Besides, it's not like I can force you to stop smoking or anything.."
childhood friend! Shinichiro who slowly stops smoking as much as he used to, especially around you so that you wouldn't be disturbed by his smell and stay close to him
"Huh?"
"What is it?"
"Eh... it's nothing important."
"Oh come on, you clearly have something to say. Cat got your tongue or something? Taken aback by my good looks?"
"Yeah, sure, whatever you say. You just... smell different, that's all."
"Is smell all you care about? What are you, a dog?"
"Fuck you."
"Yes please."
"Wha-?!?!"
"I'm joking." (He wasn't really)
"And I probably smell good because I put on this new cologne I got."
"Pfft, to mask off the fact that you're a smoke addict?"
"Hey! Might I inform you that I haven't picked up a cigarette for the past two weeks now."
"Really? Wow, I'm surprised. What made you stop?"
"You. Well, more precisely, you avoiding to get close to me because I stink."
"...?!?" (You were speechless and flustered)
childhood friend! Shinichiro who gets jealous upset when his friends flirt with you right in front of his face, not knowing that they're doing this to get him riled up enough and grow balls to finally confess to you
T: "Say, [name], you got a boyfriend or anything?"
"..?!?! Wha- Why're you asking her that-"
T: "What? Can't a man be curious? Besides, no boyfriend would be pleased if their girlfriend is hanging out with her 'guy' friend and his siblings 24/7."
"Very funny Take-chan. If that's your logic, then I believe you already have your answer."
B: "That's suprising. I was sure a pretty girl like you would have many guys chasing for you."
"...! I'm flattered, Keizo-kun. But I doubt that's the case, haha."
"Oi, you guys, stop bugging her like this..."
T: "Ya'know, I'm pretty sure most girls like strong guys, right? Shin's pretty weak to stay by your side."
"Oi-"
T: "But, he makes it up with his charm and caring side, so I guess you have it good [name]."
W: "Well, that's Shin-chan for ya, so you don't have to worry about him not treating you right, [name]. But if he doesn't, you cant count on us to beat him up for you."
"I.... wow, okay...?"
"?!? Oi, you guys!!? Now you're scaring me!!"
childhood friend! Shinichiro who confronts you one day, telling you all about how his friends and family keep on teasing him about how you and him should date and how he also really liked the idea of that
"Hahaha! Really? Manjiro did that?? I can't believe I missed that!"
"It's painful y'know! Can't believe he's only 12 years old and pulling off roundhouse kicks like that. And to my face too!"
"Well, what'd you do this time?"
"Wha-?!? I can't believe you're so quick to take his side. Both you and Emma."
"What can I say? Both him and Emma are my favourite Sanos after all."
"Gasp After all these years, you're choosing them over me?!? I'm disappointed, [name]. I thought you knew better 😔"
"Cry about it then."
"Mean..."
"But he must have a reason for doing that to you though, right?"
"I mean... it's kind of stupid, really."
"Oh? Do tell whatever the reason for the 'invincible Mikey' to roundhouse kick you. And for Emma to take his side on the matter."
"Ah... they're just mad that I apparently haven't made you my girlfriend yet."
"Huh??"
"I know, stupid, isn't it? They both have been bugging me about this for years now, claiming that they 'want you to be their actual sister'. What's worse is that gramps has the same sentiment as them too."
"Seriously? Sano-sensei as well?"
"Yup. He says he doesn't mind having you as his "granddaughter-in-law" and that you're the only person I ever truly listen to. Bullshit by the way."
"Is it it really though?"
"That's not the point. Hell, even the guys are teasing me for not making it official with you yet. Bugging me about it whenever we hangout, saying that if I don't act soon, they'll steal you away from me."
"I-.... wow... I guess that explains what happened the last time we hung out."
"Yeah, sorry if their words bothered you."
"No, no it's fine. But I'm just wondering... what do you think about all this?"
"Huh?"
"Like.... with everyone bugging you, and well me about this, what are your thoughts on us dating?"
"...?!?... I guess.... I don't mind that..."
"Really? I'm glad then."
"Huh? What do you mean."
"I guess I don't mind us dating as well."
".....Wait..., so are you saying I can be your boyfriend?!?! Really?!?"
"Yes! I'm saying you can be my boyfriend, and I can be your girlfriend, idiot."
"I'm actually so happy right now I could literally kiss you."
"Then do it, Shin. Who's gonna stop you?"

a/n: i love him so much oml, thinking about writing longer fics about some of these scenarios

Bicycles kick a lot of ass these days. When I was a kid, a bicycle would only go as fast as you could pedal. Maybe, if you were really a huge asshole, you could take the bus to the big city and buy one of those mini-moped kits from a motorcycle shop. Then you could break playground-zone speed limits with enough two-stroke burble and pop to arouse every police officer within thirty miles.
Nowadays, you can slap some Chinese-made wonder magic on your Norco and do three or four horsepower without even knowing how to solder. In fact, it's much better if you don't know anything about electronics, because that level of knowledge will prevent you from extracting the maximum value out of your investment of "some vape batteries" and "a motor I found on Amazon whose name YouTube can't consistently pronounce." Electrical engineers are just too damn afraid of fire to go really fast.
Sure, you have to show fealty to the all-knowing microcontroller inside the magic motor box. Pinky-swear to it that you live in the hypothetical lawless wonderland that would allow you to have this much wheel-bending, mind-melting torque on a public pedestrian pathway. Honestly, it's its own fault if it believes a shifty character such as yourself. Not that the local cops are going to pull over Bob Tongsheng on his way to deposit your money in his bank, either. It's this kind of primitive hot-rodding that once made this country great: neglecting the existence or worth of anyone and everything outside of your vehicle in lieu of Go Fast.
Sure, this sort of thing will only last for awhile. Pathways are already filling up with lots of zingy e-mopeds and e-deathscoots, ridden by perfectly normal people. Your 1500-watt stealth bomber build is going to get pulled on by a pensioner within a year or two, as the market begins to demand enough cargo room (and rollover protection!) to do a once-a-month Costco run with the entire fam in tow. Inevitably, the cops are going to have to crack down on the whole deal, too.
For a glorious, shining moment, you too can dig a rusty mountain bike out of a creek and have it doing 50 miles an hour by watching a YouTube video. That's something previous generations simply could not have imagined. Which is their loss, really. If they had gotten off their asses earlier and figured out the lithium-ion battery, we could all be driving $100 50-horsepower ebikes right now instead of having to pay Big Battery for the "latest and greatest" in burning your garage down.

COMPANY pt.1 | Spoke

synopsis: Bring your girlfriend to work day.
The scent of motor oil and warm steel clung to the air, mingling with the distinct musk of leather and sweat. The shop wasn’t busy today—just the hum of neon lights and the occasional clatter of a wrench as Spoke worked on a half-assembled bike.
You perched on a worktable, legs swinging idly, watching him with rapt attention. He was in his element, sleeves pushed up, forearms streaked with grease.
"Aren't you going to be bored?" Spoke asked, glancing at you before turning back to the skeletal frame of the motorcycle.
You tilted your head, a smirk playing on your lips. "Not with this view."
He let out a short chuckle, shaking his head as he wiped his hands on an old rag. "Well, aren’t you flirtatious today?"
You shrugged, playful. "Maybe I just like seeing you work."
Spoke exhaled, rolling the lollipop between his lips before tossing the wrench into the toolbox. "Yeah? You like watchin’ me get my hands dirty?"
Your gaze dipped, taking in the grease-streaked lines of his forearms, the way his shirt clung to his frame, damp with sweat. "Something like that."
The air in the shop seemed to thicken as Spoke casually peeled his shirt off, tossing it aside with a practiced ease. The low light caught the faint glint of muscle beneath his skin, and you couldn’t help but linger on the way his back flexed with each movement.
"I'm back with the food!" Hugo’s voice boomed through the garage. He appeared from around the corner, several bags in hand, followed by Watari and Kai, both carrying drinks and more food.
The charged silence shattered. You blinked, quickly shifting your focus as if the moment had never existed. The heat in the air dissipated, replaced by the easy familiarity of their arrival.
Hugo flashed a grin as he set the bags down, his gaze flicking between you and Spoke. "Don’t tell me I’m interrupting something. Spoke lookin’ like a snack again?"
Spoke, unbothered, shot him a sidelong glance but didn’t respond. His attention was already back on the bike, his posture relaxed, rolling the lollipop between his lips with absent ease as he wiped his hands on a rag.
You smirked, rolling with the shift in energy. "Maybe you’re just late," you teased, grabbing a drink from one of the bags.
Watari bumped Hugo’s shoulder with a roll of her eyes. "Move it, nosy nelly," she muttered.
Kai chuckled, setting the last of the bags on the table. "Yeah, quit being nosy."
You slid off the worktable, making your way over as Watari opened one of the larger brown paper bags. The rich scent of food spilled into the air, pushing aside the lingering motor oil.
The air in the shop seemed to thicken for a moment, but before it could settle, Spoke grabbed a clean shirt from a nearby stool and pulled it over his head in one fluid motion. The fabric stretched momentarily before settling into place, obscuring the toned lines of his torso.
You slid off the worktable, making your way over as Watari opened one of the larger brown paper bags. The rich scent of food spilled into the air, pushing aside the lingering motor oil. The moment had passed—but you couldn’t deny the ghost of a smirk still playing at your lips.
Everyone settled in, pulling up stools and crates around the makeshift dining area. Hugo passed out sandwiches wrapped in brown paper, while Kai popped the lids off a few glass bottles of soda, the soft hiss of carbonation filling the space.
"You actually got my order right for once?" Watari teased, unwrapping her sandwich and inspecting its contents.
Hugo scoffed, taking a dramatic bite of his own. "Of course. I’m reliable."
Spoke leaned against the worktable, his shirt now slightly wrinkled but still fitting him well. He bit into his sandwich with one hand while the other lazily twirled the lollipop stick between his fingers. His eyes flicked toward you briefly before returning to his food.
You took a sip of your drink, letting the cool fizz settle on your tongue. "So what’s the plan after this?"
Kai shrugged. "Depends. Shop’s closed early today. We could head to the docks. Might be a good breeze."
Watari hummed in thought. "Or we could just stay here. I like the sound of not moving."
Hugo grinned. "That’s because you’re lazy."
She pointed a fry at him. "Efficient."
"Right" Hugo drawled, sipping on his drink.
The conversation drifted into easy chatter, the kind that only came with familiarity. The warmth of the meal, the company, and the lingering scent of grease and steel wrapped around you. And through it all, your eyes found Spoke again—casual, collected, rolling the lollipop between his fingers like he had all the time in the world.
You pushed off from your seat and wandered toward him, stepping into his space as he remained perched on the worktable. Resting a hand on his thigh, you leaned in slightly, catching his attention.
"What kind of juice did you get?" you asked, your voice laced with curiosity.
Spoke glanced at you, the corner of his lips quirking as he lifted his bottle. "Pineapple," he replied simply, taking a slow sip before meeting your gaze again. "Want a taste?"
You tilted your head, watching him take another slow sip. The way his lips lingered against the rim of the bottle sent a flicker of something warm through your chest—not that you’d admit it.
"Maybe," you mused, reaching out before he could react. Your fingers brushed against his as you took the bottle from his grasp, feeling the cool glass against your palm.
Spoke didn’t protest. Instead, he simply watched, the faintest smirk dancing on his lips.
You took a sip, the tangy-sweet flavor of pineapple settling on your tongue, mixed with the faintest trace of something else—something undeniably him. Lowering the bottle, you met his gaze, your expression unreadable.
"Not bad," you said, handing it back.
Spoke’s fingers lingered against yours for half a second before he took the bottle, setting it beside him without another word. But his smirk deepened just a fraction, as if he’d caught onto something unspoken between you.
Before either of you could say anything else, Hugo’s voice cut through the moment.
"Oh, come on. If you two are gonna eye-flirt, at least be more subtle about it."
You shot him a flat look, but Kai snorted, and even Watari smirked behind her drink.
"You're seeing things," you said smoothly, leaning away from Spoke with an easy shrug.
Hugo waggled his brows. "Uh-huh, sure. And I don’t have impeccable instincts."
Spoke just took another bite of his sandwich, unfazed.
Kai leaned back in his seat, stretching his arms over his head. "Anyway, about the docks. If we’re going, we should head out soon before it gets too crowded."
Watari sighed, tossing her empty sandwich wrapper into one of the bags. "Fine, fine. But I’m calling dibs on the best seat."
"Doesn’t work like that," Hugo said, standing and stretching. "First come, first served."
You glanced back at Spoke. His gaze lingered on you for a second longer before he finally pushed off the worktable, lollipop still twirling between his fingers.
"will you be fine on your own?" he shoots the question to them, washing down the food with more juice. "I still have a few upgrades on the bike"
Watari pulls up her hair. "what about you" she smiled
You shrugged, feigning nonchalance. "Not in the mood for running errands."
Hugo shot you a knowing grin but didn’t press. "Suit yourself. We’ll be back in a bit—try not to get into trouble kids"
You rolled your eyes as he and Kai stepped out, laughing between themselves. Watari lingered for a moment, giving you a long, considering look before she smirked. "we'll be back in a few."
With that, she turned and followed the others, the door swinging shut behind her.
The garage was suddenly quieter, the absence of chatter making the hum of the city outside seem distant. You turned back toward Spoke, who had barely acknowledged the exchange, still crouched by his bike, focused.
For a while, you didn’t say anything. You just watched—watched the way his hands moved with practiced ease, the way his fingers skimmed over metal, the furrow of concentration between his brows.
"You don’t have to stay," he finally said, voice even, but there was something underneath—something unreadable.
"I know," you replied simply, stepping forward. "But I want to."
Spoke exhaled softly through his nose, shaking his head as he wiped his hands on a rag. "Suit yourself," he murmured, but you didn’t miss the way his lips quirked slightly before he turned his attention back to the bike.
You settled onto the worktable, watching as he worked, the scent of grease and metal mixing with the faint, lingering sweetness of his lollipop.
For a while, the only sounds were the faint clinking of tools and the occasional soft scrape of metal against metal. The garage had a rhythm of its own—steady, methodical, almost soothing. You watched as Spoke adjusted something near the engine, his movements sure and precise.
"You always this focused when you work?" you asked, your voice breaking the silence.
Spoke didn’t look up. "It’s a machine. Give it what it needs, and it won’t fail you."
You tilted your head, studying him. "That why you like bikes?"
He finally glanced at you, another lollypop rolling between his lips. "Something like that."
There was something about the way he said it—something that hinted at more, but he didn’t offer an explanation. Instead, he turned back to his work, tightening a bolt with a slow, deliberate twist.
You hopped down from the worktable, stepping closer. "Need help?"
He scoffed lightly but didn’t immediately dismiss you. "You know anything about bikes?"
"I know how to ride one," you said, crossing your arms. "That count?"
Spoke smirked, shaking his head as he handed you a wrench. "Hold this."
You took it, fingers brushing his as you did. His skin was warm, slightly rough with callouses from years of working with his hands. The brief touch sent a flicker of something through you, but you ignored it, watching as he gestured toward the frame.
"Here," he murmured, guiding your hand. "Tighten this bolt, but not too much, or you'll mess up the alignment."
You followed his instructions, turning the wrench carefully. Spoke watched, his gaze flicking between your face and the work you were doing.
"Not bad," he murmured.
You grinned. "High praise, coming from you."
He huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head before reaching for another tool.
The air between you felt different now—not as thick as before, but charged in a quieter way. You fell into a rhythm, passing him tools, watching him work, stealing glances when you thought he wasn’t looking.

James was FUCKED!...
He had borrowed Sirius’ new motorbike but now it was shutting down on him and he didn’t know what to do! This has never happened with his best friend’s previous bike before. That bike was easy to handle, not at the beginning, but over time, James had grown familiar with it and now that he was on a new bike, he didn’t even know where to begin with trying to remedy the issue – whatever the issue was!
“Padfoot’s gonna kill me if his sweet new ride breaks down,” James’ voice shakes as he panics silently to himself, “and it’s all because of me…”
James remembers spending an entire week trying to convince Sirius to allow him the privilege of riding his new motorbike. A matte, all black Triumph Daytona 660. It was a beautiful ride, and one that Sirius was proud to own and made him promise to handle with the greatest care. Sirius’ love for the motor vehicle was contagious and made James just as much of a fanatic over bikes. James had his own Suzuki SV650 in red and black finish.
Handling of Sirius’ Triumph was unparalleled, not only did it look artful on the road but it was also incredibly agile. The footpeg was well placed and, accompanied with the raised clip-on handlebars, the position it locks you in for a speedier cruise was so much more compelling compared to his Suzuki. The Triumph definitely didn’t shy away from staking its claim as a sports bike but that only meant it was more addicting to ride.
And now, here James was…
After breaking down at the side of the road, he had been pushing and pushing the bike all the way into the previous town he had passed and was now on his way to the mechanic shop he had caught a small glimpse of when passing. He worked up quite the sweat but didn’t pay it much attention; too worried over Sirius’ disappointment and anger. James made a promise to take care of his new motorbike and he had just broken said promise. Staring up at the mechanic sign, James took a breath and clung onto the slight hope that whatever happened could be fixed.
“Damn,” the new voice makes James’ head snap towards the open garage of the shop, “is that your bike?”
“Uh…” James struggles to form any words because, how could he when you were staring at him with such pretty eyes and sweet-looking lips? When you were dressed in the typical motorbike mechanic overall-type uniform, all black and clearly oversized, swamping your figure in the most adorable way. Just a moment ago his heart had been racing in fear of Sirius’ fury but now it was racing for an entirely different reason. You’re so pretty… pretty and with the kindest eyes. Your lips are moving… so you’re probably talking to him right now but he can’t hear anything when his eyes are so focused on the way your lips shape around different words. Oh! But he bets your voice sounds as pretty as you so he should probably start listening to you again.
“--ou okay?” you finish with worried eyes and James could only guess what you were just saying.
“Y-yeah!..” he bashfully turns away from your gaze, “Sorry about that,”
“It’s alright,” when he turns back to you again, James has to stop himself from sighing dreamily and openly drooling over just how pretty you were. But you were smiling at him! And so sweetly too that his insides melt around the butterflies fluttering around his stomach, “what can we do for you today?”
“My uhh…my friend’s bike. I was just borrowing it and it broke down a few miles from here,” he admits as a frown marks his features with guilt and despair, “I-I don’t know what could be wrong with it…”
“Don’t worry,” James watches you tilt your head in a gesture of welcoming him inside, “we’ll can take a look for you,” if James thought you were pretty before, now he think you’re angelic – he can’t help but believe in your words fully and feel all his worries wash away, banished by the shine of your bright smile and warm gaze, “I’m sure we’ll get you back on the road in no time!”
Forget melting into a puddle, James was evaporating into mist!
The problem with Sirius’ Triumph Daytona 660 was that it ran out of fuel and James was too busy panicking and stressing over being a bad friend for breaking his promise. That was the good news, the bad news was that he totally just embarrassed himself in front of the cute motorbike mechanic AND now he has no reason to ever see you again!
Desperate times call for desperate measures…
…James faces his Suzuki SV650 with his well beloved hockey stick in hand. A sacrifice has to be made and he doesn’t mind it being his bike. Should he aim for the front light or the back? He read somewhere that submerging the engine in water whilst running it would get water in and the air intake wouldn’t be able to compress in the cylinders and end up bending the conrods and smashing the valves. The pool would work for that one.
James looks at his hockey stick again before making a final decision. He can do this for now and when you fix his bike, he can say he ‘accidentally rode his bike into his pool’. Yeah that would work! James raises his arms above his head, aiming for the front light of his Suzuki and takes a breath before swinging down—
“James!” Sirius’ panicked shout makes him seize up entirely, his powerful swing down paused mid-air, “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” his best friend had been staying over and was wondering what he had been doing spending so much time in the garage and came walking into an unfathomable scene.
“Uhhh…” I want to see the pretty mechanic again!
“The ‘pretty’ what?” Sirius pulls a disbelieving face. This was all for a girl?... It’s not surprising considering the way James used to act around Lily but vandalising his own motorbike?
Shit! I said that out loud.
“Yes, yes you did…” James can’t bring himself to answer. However, he didn’t have to as Sirius stalks over to the toolbox and grabs a wrench. He didn’t even need to explain himself. Both share a smile before beginning to do a number on his once very beloved Suzuki.
“Thanks Siri,” panting, James wipes the sweat off his brow and faces his best friend with a boyish grin. Out of everyone else in the world, of course Sirius would have his back and not ask questions–
“Wait– why were you at the mechanics in the first place?”
“Uhhh….”
“James?...”
A/N : like most of my timestamps, i wrote this incredibly sleep deprived but inspired and couldn't wait so here you darlings go <3 please forgive any spelling or grammatical mistakes and i hope you enjoy the fluff hehe~
