About Me, My Story....

About me, I am a wife, mother of 4 beautiful children. living in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. I was born in California and will always be a California girl. I am a self taught and self representation artist and Sculptor. Most of my painting are done on wood surfaces, I love the textures that painting on wood allows. I use mixed mediums along with different styles and techniques. I mainly use acrylic paints but with me you never know. I love doing abstract art paintings, sculptures and charcoal drawings.

My story, I have always been an Artist, I love all forms of art, there is nothing like capturing an image from within or outside your brain. All my life I was always doing some form of art but not until I lost all my eye sight in my right eye many years ago (detached retina and too many failed eye surgeries) which left me with functionally impaired vision in my left that I decided to include Art in world, to express myself through art and capture the beauty that forms in and out of my mind. To me there is no wrong in Art, it comes from within. It amazes me how a beautiful array of colors or drawings can create such amazing images. My vision impairment only inspired me!!!!

It all started years ago, when I lost all the sight in my right eye and dealing with arthritis in my foot which later lead to staph/bone infection which pretty took away my ability to walk without assistance/wheelchair so now I am half blind and disabled. I went into deep depression which I decided was not where I wanted to be, as a wife and mother of 4 kids, I had to snap out of that some kind of way. One day, I searched deep inside of myself, deeper then I ever have before. I had to figure what can I still do, not realizing that I was still doing pretty much the same as always, it wasn't like I ever had the best vision but I also now I had to learn to adapt to my life in a wheelchair plus taking care of my diabetes that I have had since the age of 6. My inner voice asked what is it you always wanted to do, be known for? Hmmm.. An ARTIST, I always loved to paint, I always loved to draw, I always loved to sculpt, I always loved to express myself through all form of art. That was the day, I was healed, all feelings of depression faded away. For the first time I had the courage, yes, courage to share my passion with the world.

How would someone describe me? They would say strange, different, deep, funny, goofy, caring, unusual, way way out there, visual, spiritual, open, great mother, great wife, ambitious, spontaneous, and overall interesting... I am sure I left a lot of things out.

Who am I??? A women, wife, mother, daughter, sister, an Artist.... Welcome to my world :-)
