Moon 76 - OneClan

After a long journey, Cloudpaw has finally returned home to Oneclan. 

With a litter of 3 kits mewling at their belly, Nightflower’s long pregnancy has finally given them and Windspeckle the expansion to their family they’ve been hoping and waiting for. They name their kits Honeykit, Tigerkit, and Bramblekit. 

Rowanstem confessed their feelings to Mothpounce and they have become mates. 

Thistlebark brought a litter of 2 kits back to camp but refused to talk about their origin. He’s named the kits Blackkit and Featherkit. 

OneClan welcomes Palerapid as a new warrior, honoring their courage.

Flowerstripe sits in the crowd, chest puffed out in pride as they watch Cloudpaw be named Clouddrift, and honored for their hard work. They consider themself lucky to have been able to train such an amazing young cat, and look forward to seeing the warrior they become.

Harepaw is overjoyed to finally be a warrior. After Silverstarrenames them and honors their appreciation, Hareclaw nuzzles Pebbleheart, thanking them for their guidance.

Name: Dillweed

Age: 18 moons

Status: Duskclan hunter/stalker (alive)

Bio:

Dillweed always excelled at anything he worked at. He immediately stood out in hunting and ended up graduating three moons early. Despite this, his apprenticeship was ANYTHING but smooth sailing.

He was apprenticed to the head hunter in the clan, Russetblight. Russetblight and Dillpaw clicked immediately. Their contrasting natures ended up complementing each other instead of clashing and they became close quickly. Russetblight was a very good mentor and Dill was a very good learner. 

A couple of moons into his training, a territory battle over the basking flats between Lightclan and Duskclan. Dill tried to stick with Russetblight the entire time, but ended up getting separated from him at one point. This was when he saw Switchpaw, who ignorantly decided to battle Russetblight. Dillpaw noticed that Russetblight was being a little impulsive and reckless. Dillpaw tried to scare off Switchpaw in hopes that he wouldn’t get injured, but Russetblight accidentally “killed” Switchpaw. This certainly traumatized Dill to say the least. The battle had lots of casualties. One of those casualties was his own mother, Vixenfrost. Dillpaw felt like Vixenfrost’s death was his fault. Elmpaw also kind of lamed Vixen’s death on Dill because Elm wasn’t at the battle and Dill was. Dillpaw fell into a deep depression and found himself not enjoying anything the way he used to. It took a huge amount of support from Russetblight and inner strength to overcome the grief that that battle had caused him. Dillweed now is more mentally stable, but still gets depressive episodes from time to time. He also developed PTSD and really dislikes any type of conflict because he feels helpless in the midst of all of it and it reminds him that not all situations are controllable. 

Other notes:

- He is very laid back and easygoing. He is usually the counterweight in his intense friend group. He used to be very careful and rule-abiding, but he has loosened up considerably compared to his apprenticehood.

- He and Elmheart made up. They aren’t necessarily close though.

- He is very protective of his apprentice, Saffronpaw, because of how much she reminds him of himself when he was younger. He wants her to excel and enjoy life.

- He absolutely steals olives from the healer’s den. Cricketsong doesn’t like it but she can’t really do anything about it. He uses it to relieve stress. He also keeps lavender on him for stress relief for him and Saffronpaw.

- His best friends are Mothpounce and Amberface.

- He likes to sunbathe at the basking flats and meet up with Switchclaw to chitchat and gossip. Saffronpaw is scared of Switchclaw.

- He likes to sleep during the day and hunt in the afternoon-night. 

- He is really tall and kinda awkward with his movements. He isn’t exactly graceful if he isn’t hunting. He sits kinda weird so he can talk to his friends without towering over them.

- He has really acute senses and can easily sense movement within his range. 

- He is actually very bad at strategy. He may be stupid

- He likes to listen to the crickets and tree frogs at night.

- His legs hurt when he is immobile for too long because of how gangly and long they are. He needs to be able to stretch frequently.

- He falls asleep very easily, but he needs to be able to sleep next to someone else or else he usually has nightmares.

- Russetblight is his father figure and they are very close.

- He kinda feels like he is a big-brother figure to Saffronpaw and that he is responsible for her safety. 

- He struggles with his self esteem often. He has gotten better, though.

Moon 70 - OneClan

Larkpatch has healed from the strain of delivering their litter. 

The stump where Duskshade’s tail used to be has become infected. 

Mothpounce considers as they look out over the clan, if perhaps this isn’t where they belong. 

Reeses Puff has healed from the strain of delivering their litter. 

Stormpaw has realized that tom doesn’t describe how they feel anymore. She now identifies as a she-cat. 

Toadpaw’s whitecough is gone. 

As Palepaw touches noses with Silvergaze, they hope they'll get to do something that will really impress the Clan on their first day. Maybe they could catch a big, fat rabbit? Or chase off a fox! That'll show the Clan they're the best apprentice anyone's ever seen!

In their eagerness, Cloudpaw accidentally shoves their nose into Mossfall's so hard that Mossfall flinches back in surprise. Cloudpaw sheepishly apologizes, and the two have a good laugh about it.

Harekit loudly complains as Snowsong pulls them over to quickly groom their pelt. They manage to wriggle away and scurry off to the front of the crowd for their ceremony, where they are renamed to Harepaw and apprenticed to Pebbleheart.

While on patrol, Mossfall finds an injured loner and brings them back to camp. They’re name is Hoplilac and they are suffering from a mangled tail. 

While Thistlebark, Flowerstripe, Toadpaw, and Stormpaw are patrolling they come across a fox and decide to try and fight it off. The patrol fights bravely but you only need to be unlucky once. Toadpaw gets taken out of the fight with one snap of the beast’s huge jaws. The rest of the patrol rallies to defend them and Toadpaw is safely helped back to camp where the medicine den awaits. 

While Rowanstem, Otterclaw, and Snowsong are on patrol they hear screaming and when they go to investigate they come across a human holding a bag. As soon as they see the bag wiggling and screaming they jump into action. Unfortunately Otterclaw was just a tad too slow and got kicked quite hard against a tree. Rowanstem orders the patrol to protect and carry Otterclaw while they retreat, with pain in their heart for the unknown cat that they couldn’t save.

Moon 74 - OneClan

Larkpatch fell into the river and Birdstar drowned alongside Larkpatch trying to rescue them. Birdstar lost the rest of their lives. 

Nightflower announces that they’re expecting kits. 

Flowerstripe confessed their feelings to Reeses Puff but they got rejected. 

Upon the loss of Birdstar, Goosepaw decides to become a medicine cat apprentice. 

Reeses Puff, Rowanstem Snowsong, Dawnpaw, Ashpaw, and Mousepaw are patrolling when they come across kits close to the border into their territory. As Reesespuff crosses the border with Snowsong to grab the kits by their scruff, a Mottleclan patrol suddenly appears looking furious with their claws out and fangs bared. Snowsong gently drops the kit and attempts to explain the situation but is immediately and viciously killed. Reeses Puff races back over to their side of the border just barely escaping the wrath of Mottleclan warriors. 

While Doespots, Stormroar, Cinderpaw, and Cloudpaw are on patrol, they come across a group of twolegs in the forest. Cloudpaw mostly ignores the twolegs as they hunt, crawling into a metal box to follow the scent of food. But when they try to back up, the way is blocked and there’s nothing they or the patrol can do - eventually the twolegs take notice and Cloudpaw is taken by them. 

As the Clan sits vigil, Windspeckle's voice cracks with grief, talking about the time they had with Birdstar. Cats come to Windspeckle afterwards, offering them the biggest, juiciest pieces of fresh-kill, but they refuse it all, staring at the walls of their den in silence.

As the Clan sits vigil, Nightflower's voice cracks with grief, talking about the time they had with Birdstar. Nightflower makes a point of removing foliage from Birdstar's nest, snapping at any hindrance. Their paws tremble over the material, distraught when they realize how fast Birdstar's scent is fading.

As the Clan sits vigil, Mothpounce's voice cracks with grief, talking about the time they had with Larkpatch. Mothpounce can't help the way their voice cracks while recalling Larkpatch's life at the vigil. Even so, they force a smile, knowing Larkpatch would want a celebratory memorial.

Nobody wants to admit such a terrible thing out loud, but Birdstar will not be missed by the whole Clan. Rowanstem wanders past the vigil being held for them, pointedly ignoring it.

As the Clan sits vigil, Whitepaw's voice cracks with grief, talking about the time they had with Birdstar. Whitepaw can't handle the vigil's entirety. It's far too agonizing. The loss has taken such a toll on them that they can barely find their footing as they stumble to their nest, wailing for Birdstar.

Moon 68 - OneClan

Toadkit has always wished to be the hero of their Clan, a warrior admired by all. Thistlebark hopes, while Toadpaw touches noses with them, that they are going to stay wary of the dangers of their territory and not endanger themself.

Toadpaw has gotten whitecough.

Newly-made apprentice, Whitepaw, touches noses with their new mentor, Mothpounce.

Goosekit and Dawnkit try to sneak out of camp, but are caught and returned to the nursery.

Wolfstripe is attacked by a fox while on patrol. He got a bite wound.

Moon 65 - OneClan

Birdstar finally feels back to normal after the strain of birthing a litter.

Larkpatch announced that they are expecting kits. They won't be moving into the nursery just yet.

Reeses Puff announced that they are expecting kits. They choose to continue their duties as usual for now.

Windspeckle is watching with pride as Stormpaw is named and given to Flowerstripe to apprentice under. They know that Flowerstripe was a good choice.

Birdstar is in love with Larkpatch, has romantic feelings for Nightflower, and hates Rowanstem, Doespots, Mothpounce, and Spottedpelt. 

Wolfstripe is in love with Frostburn and has romantic feelings for Otterclaw. 

Pebblepool is in love with Larkpatch. 

Chris is in love with Windspeckle. 

Spottedpelt dislikes Nightflower and Rowanstem. 

Larkpatch is in love with Birdstar and Windspeckle. She dislikes Wolfstripe.

Moon 50 - OneClan

Wolfstripe has brought a single kitten back to camp but refused to talk about their origin. He names the kit Flowerkit. 

The things they saw today, a pawprint of red on a rock, a perfectly intact yet hollow birds egg and a shell shining with the colors of water… Chris sits on an isolated mountain ledge, considering what the omens foretell. 

Duskshade has healed from their mangled tail but unfortunately lost the tail itself. 

Newly-made apprentice, Thistlepaw, touches noses with their new mentor, Birdstar.

Mothpounce is checking along the border lines when they hear a startling sound - a hiss of pain? They quickly follow the sound to the source. It’s a loner and they appear to be injured. Mothpounce approaches cautiously and the londer draws themself up but doing so causes them to let out another hiss. Mothpounce offers to bring them to camp. Though they seem hesitant, the loner agrees. Hazeltrail has joined the clan. They are Mothpounce’s mother.

Moon 45 - OneClan

Birdstar is happy to find their body pain free, it seems their broken bone has finally healed. 

Larkpatch thinks they’ll have a small litter. 

Swanfeather has gotten whitecough. 

Surprising Russetshade, the first thing that Mousepaw asks to do once the meeting ends is gather moss so everyone has fresh bedding.

Mousepaw was seen talking calmly to a loner, before both cats went their separate ways.

Doepaw touches noses with Snowsong and hopes that they'll get to hunt first, so they can make sure the Clan is fed.

Riverpaw sits up straighter as they're called forward to be made an apprentice. While they try to look calm and collected, they still tremble a bit as they touch noses with Oakfreckle.

Wolfstripe sits in the crowd, chest puffed out in pride as they watch Mothpaw be named Mothpounce, and honored for their energy. They consider themself lucky to have been able to train such an amazing young cat, and look forward to seeing the warrior they become.

Moonkit has gotten kittencough.

Windspeckle, Wolfstripe, and Mothpounce are patrolling when they hear noise coming from just over the border. The patrol follows the noise and comes upon a kittypet that's sniffing around. The kittypet notices them and bundles towards the patrol, whose pelts bush out in surprise. The kittypet quickly begins a story about how they've been training for days now and they're finally ready to join OneClan. Well alright then! Previously named Keziah, they change their name to Frostburn to sound more clanlike. Frostburn has joined the clan.

Bio:

Cardinalpaw was born in Duskclan to two very revered warriors, Butterflyheart and Thistlestrike. Always a very rowdy, occasionally disrespectful kit, he quickly gained a reputation in the clan. He has never been one to follow any rules, and doesn’t really plan on it. Not to mention, he didn’t know how to sheath his claws until he was four moons old. He can be a little dense.

He was apprenticed to his mother, Butterflyheart, in an attempt to mellow him out, but clearly, this was all in vain. His mom just kind of enables him to be chaotic because she says it’s “good to encourage cats to do what makes them happy”, and unfortunately, in Cardinalpaw’s case, all he wants to do is break the law and hunt occasionally. He is an exceptional hunter and takes direction well, but he struggles with respecting authority figures and older cats, mainly because most older cats in Duskclan don’t know what they are doing. He will hopefully mellow out by the time he becomes a warrior, but for now, he is still his same silly self.

Other notes:

- He often recruits Saffronpaw and Yellowpaw to tag along and join his shenanigans. They are too scared to say no.

- He has lots of friends and is known for being very friendly. He is a great friend and always makes sure his friends are doing alright.

- He dislikes his dad, Thistlestrike, for the main reason that he is trying to peer pressure him into becoming a guard when he clearly does not want to. He avoids him when it is possible.

- He is a little below average size, but he will be very tall when he grows up.

- His face scrunches up when he is happy. He often contorts into silly positions when he is excited. He likes to roll around.

- His ears are always pricked and moving around. He likes to take in different sounds.

- He likes to play moss ball with his friends. He is the current champion.

- His brother, Carpleap, despises him. Cardinalpaw follows him around relentlessly trying to get him to open up. It hasn’t worked yet.

- He thinks his brother, Mothpounce, is the coolest and wants to be just like him. He idolizes him because of how good of a hunter he is and also because of just how good of a cat he is. He is a really good role model and Cardinalpaw respects him.

- He collects down feathers of the birds he hunts. He keeps them in his nest.

- He has ADHD and often finds it hard to start tasks if he doesn’t feel obligated. He also struggles with certain timing because he has no clue what time it is ever. He could wake up really early one day and really late the next because he doesn’t understand any better. He also gets frustrated if a task is taking too long, even though he knows the task is only going to take about three minutes. Time blindness is an issue for him.

- He stims by running around in circles, chasing his tail, flexing his claws, dropping rocks on top of each other, and scratching trees. He loves movement and will do anything to get out of camp.
