Shadow in the Blizzard (SitB) is a warrior cats Clangen comic based on John Carpenters ‘The Thing’. It follows a group of 9 cats venturing to the mountains to investigate a meteor, believed to be a message from starclan. On their journey, a blizzard hits, and they’re forced to set up camp in a nearby cave. The mountains are lonely, but are they truly the only life up there?

This story is still in early development, I’ve got the character designs and major plot beats, But I’ll be posting my progress and pre production here!

Who are we?

You may find yourself wondering, well good question little one, for we are the spirits of all that came before. The ones that walk the light. The ones who give prophecies. We are the cats of Starclan. In other words we are a group of starclan fictives giving our opinions and predictions on Warrior Cats. Each post will be labeled on which cat is speaking and if it’s a canon cat or a OC. This is a sideblog. Our other blogs:

Hello!

You can refer to me as Meadow or Brook; I'm over 20 and use ne/nem pronouns. This is my sideblog dedicated to my Alaska Cats! My main is @meadow-brook, where I post a lot of warrior cats already. But I've been inspired! I wanted to make my own set of Clans far away from those in canon and play around with different beliefs and environments but still keeping the warrior life at heart.

This series was heavily inspired by @bonefall and I encourage you to check him out if you haven't found him already!

Eventually I think I want to write a series revolving around these kitties, but for now, I figured I'd post my ideas here on tumblr and interact with y'all about them! It is still heavily in the works but I'm hoping in putting together my thoughts I can create a fully fleshed out world and series!

Last Stagclan design, Weaselcall (they/them)! Love making the cat look like their name sake, long boi. It actually makes them rly fun to pose, cause they so long.

Weasels facts!

Weaselcall asked to go on the journey mostly for fun. Batswoop is their only friend, so they’d be lonely in the clan without her around

Weaselcall was found abandoned on the territory, and has no known family. This leads to them being a bit of an outcast in the clan, though they are good friends with the deputy, Bitterfern.

They are the biggest goober ever. They love pranks and playing little jokes on everyone, they never take situations seriously.

Weasel originally was going to be denied their spot on the mission, but Coldsight said it might be good to have them for morale.

Like their name sake, Weaselcall is very good at getting into small places and burrows, which is excellent for Stagclan, who have a lot of burrowing prey like rabbits.

!!also quick disclaimer!! While we’ve read the original first series, the new prophecy, the power of three, and the broken code, we have only read some of Omen of the stars, a vision of shadows, and a starless clan and only some of the super editions and novellas. However we have done lots of for lack of a better word research so we know what happens in the books we haven’t read. I’m pretty tired right now so we’ll make another post later today.
