Hey there,

I don’t know what brought you to my tumblr page... But if I had to guess, life has gotten pretty hard and you’ve probably turned to the internet for stories that make you feel like you’re not alone. Well here’s the thing -  You’re not alone. Actually there are many people who feel like their life is falling apart. Whether that be in secret or on display for the world to see, we’ve all been there. Some people are just ballsier than others and can admit it. 

Starting today, I’ll be joining the group of ballsy women who actually tell their truths. Not because the truth will set me free or because I have some spiritual reason to do so. Instead, I chose to start writing because I remember being so lost and looking on the internet as a last resort to just make what I was going through feel normal... and not finding anything.

I’ve experienced enough to know that though there are no stories like mine on the internet, there sure as shit are more than enough young women who have been through it just like me. 

I have no intentions of trying to be a counselor. Or someone who lays a foundation / guide for others. I just want to share my experiences in hopes that someone can take bits and pieces from my stories and gain a sense of strength from knowing “It does happen” or “I’m not alone”.

Like any mother I have my ups and downs, sometimes it feels like more down than up, but like I learned early on in my life - if I fall down I MUST pick myself right back up and go on; walk it off take that time and then stand taller than I did before. Confidence was never something I had, I had physical and mental strength in bucket loads but never confidence, it was knocked time and time again but looking back I don’t know why I never picked it back up and build it up like I did myself. My self confidence just crumbled and I lived my whole life without it, and I could feel it lacking - I wasn’t whole without it. So once I found my self confidence I held onto it and I don’t plan to ever let it slip and crumble again. I will consistently built it up as it supports not just myself but my girls as well - they can see their Mummy is confident and strong and also content in herself despite what the world has decided to challenge me with. Braces Day for Miss Violet today. It’s been a very long wait and she’s super excited. Not sure she’ll be quite so smiley tomorrow when her teeth are aching! We’ve always known she’ll have braces after breaking her front adult teeth when she was 7 so this is a big day. Good luck Vi! Sooo my new t-shirt arrived and I had planned to wear it to bed but it was borrowed (stolen!) by my daughter.
