I love that one of the roles fire plays in this series is to represent how all consuming desire can be, and how it’s framed as something that can be world ending when uncontrolled.

So naming unnatural, untamable green fire ‘wildfire’ is therefore a stroke of genius. It’s the representation of how we humans manufacture our own doom in the pursuit power, of how uncontrolled desire will eventually blow up in our faces.

And the fact that barrels and barrels of it sit fermenting under Kings Landing, Westeros’s breeding ground of maniac desire, and the capital the ambitious and corrupt flock to for what it promises? It’s perfection!

Yi-kyung's desperation when seeing her baby hunted by those humans and shot at is heartbreaking but more heartbreaking? the scene where she brands her daughter scars her it is so violent and brutal possibly the most brutal thing there as it breaks them and I wish when Yi-su decided to leave with her mum I wish Yi-kyung said she was sorry for it and promised that she will care for her but that many times the already blurred lines of being scared of and being scared for will inform Yi-kyung's actions

Yi-kyung had a month to come to terms with her pregnancy and now that I think about it. It was her pain at seeing the man she loved being dead that made baby jump to being ready to be born

like there is a lot of things going through Yi-kyung's head and heart. Like general survival mode, survival mode with someone who has to depend on you. Speedrunning pregnancy angst and trauma (there could be a element of postpartum depression... from NHS website: " feelings of guilt, hopelessness and self-blame, feeling anxious that something bad may happen to your baby, problems bonding with your baby...")

and this barely had the time to breathe which i think is a damned shame (make there be a parallel of Yi-kyung and Yi-su with the monster playing hide and seek with their baby)

Take time for yourself, give yourself space to breathe and listen to your intuition, relax.

This is very similar to the reading my BiBo, big brother (he/they) , gave me. I was asking for a message from Ki/Kishar, two cards fell out before he could shuffle them, they said that had never happened to him before. Those cards being Death and The Wheel of Fortune, right-side up. The jist of that reading was pretty much, "Good things are on their way, you're about to end a negative cycle." He had the feeling that she was mostly saying, "I'm here." Quite interesting that this card is playing into that message!

Again, breathe. Focus on the now.

Helping kind elder or disabled neighbors? Do it. Protesting for change in your neighborhood or town? DO IT. Even if it is the smallest act of kindness, you are creating a better future.

I think that freshly hatched Celegorm should have scratched the hell out of whoever tried to harness him and then escaped to freedom. And is later found running with the hunting hounds and flying with the falcons.

I do find it funny that Anne had every horse pale and be worth little to nothing in the face of dragons, despite supposedly being a horse girl, and her protege then just went ‘my setting also has bond critters that are The Greatest and the most prominent ones are horse-shaped’.

Episode 10 of "House of the Dragon" is directed by Greg Yaitanes, the director who directed: "Children of Dune," a high favorite. I knew I was in for a treat.

The scenes that depict (in graphical fashion, which I appreciate) the excruciating pain of childbirth are acted beautifully by Emma D'Arcy and are tastefully filmed, with the woven of intermittent mixes of Rhaenyra's dragon, Syrax and herself; for me, these scenes establish, without a doubt, the kindred-bond that exists between Syrax and her (Rhaenyra). It is how I see their kingship in my mind. The talented director allows us to see this visually in all its beauty and agony; it grips the heart! Syrax feels Rhaenyra's pain and she is strengthening her, consoling her. Poingnantly beautiful!

Emma D'Arcy's acting in these scenes is lauded and noteworthy. I could sense and experience Rhaenyra's suffering via their acting. Highly commendable acting ability!
