In this match The Yandere Game was here too. They picked an assassin character to ambush the enemy team.

In the game your skills catch an eye to them. You were great with this character. You helped everyone as you could, but died a few times. The Yandere Gamer was a bit sad, because you died helping those useless players who couldn't play normaly. So they stayed beside you. To protect you and win tha match.

After the win The Yandere Gamer befriended you. Firstly they asked your name and some general questions like; Where are you from?, or What you doing for living?. When you answered The Yanderes questions and asked them the same, you two slowly got friends.

The Yandere Gamer started to looking your account and see what your states are like; your main lanes, your most used characters or the last matches you did. E1610! Miles x Bronx! Reader

A/N: Because I don't know why we haven't thought of this yet! P.S.: I'm not a Brooklyn-native. P.P.S.: I tried my best to make this as gender-netural as possible!

Y'all most definitely argue over which borough is better. Miles, of course, proceeds to list a million and one reasons as to why Brooklyn is better.

He's fascinated by the differences in the way you two speak. He loves it when your "accent" is audible in the way you speak.

Miles tries his best to indoctrinate introduce you to Brooklyn culture. He takes you to hotspots (Coney Island is one of the first that y'all hit up), but mostly sticks to local, Brooklyn-exclusive places (i.e. his favorite pizza spot, some of his favorite places to graffiti, that one small, Black-owned business that he gets some of his favorite clothes from).

Miles most definitely loves the South Bronx better than the North due to its street culture and abundance of unique graffiti. He literally drools when he sees a beautiful mural on the wall of a bodega or deli. He goes inside and asks the owner about the artist, get said artist's name, looks them up so that he remembers, and then proceeds to go back outside and take an abundance of photos of the mural before taking the next ten minutes to study it like a museum exhibit.

If you live in the North Bronx, Miles still finds to things to love. He still goes feral for any street art that he sees, and he'll make an effort for y'all to go out on adventures where you show him and/or discover new places in your area.

If y'all go to the Bronx Zoo, Miles takes a billion pictures in front of the entrance, claiming that he has to because this is an "infamous New York location!"

His favorite Bronx stops on the train are probably Simpson Street and Prospect Avenue.

I feel like Miles's dad, Jeff, and his Uncle Aaron used to spend their adolescent years out and about on the streets of New York. They grew especially fond of the Bronx, leading to them starting to visit the borough regularly and establish friendships and connections. However, Jeff ultimately fell out with this affinity after he started attending police academy. Aaroon kept up with it, though.

^Despite his shock, pain, and grief over his uncle, Miles forced himself to go through his uncle's apartment after his death. There, he found some old-school records and mixtapes, the latter mostly by local, underground artists from across New York. Miles kept them and has them stored somewhere safe in his room (probably his closet).

^^Y'all go through the collection, listening avidly as you study the flow of each of the artists, analyze the album cover, and the artists' styles.

^^^Most of the mixtapes feature Bronx-native artists.

^^^^Miles, refusing to accept this, runs out of his room and into the living room where his parents are sitting. He begins to explain the situation and asks Jeff to tell you that Uncle Aaron loved and represented Brooklyn through-and-through.

^^^^^Jeff laughs, a bit nervously because he's always raised Miles to take pride in where he's from (yes, the borough representation is real, people). He then explains that, yes, while Uncle Aaron loved Brooklyn, he loved the Bronx almost, if not just as much. He loved traveling to and from, made a lot of good friends and connections there. The Bronx is also where a few of his greatest and most memorable "honeys" are from.

^^^^^^Okay, I know that this is supposed to be a Miles Morales headcanon, but: when he wasn't out, working as the Prowler, Aaron was actually "away from a few days" as he says in his voicemail. He would travel to the Bronx to hang out and see friends. He was actually pretty well-known in some parts of the borough.

^^^^^^^Before his death, Aaron was serious relationship with a woman from the Bronx. Despite them seeing each other steadily for a year or four, he didn't tell Miles because he didn't want to introduce to him to someone that he would love, care for, and cherish, only to have it go up in flames. He most definitely gushed about her to Jeff and Rio on the down-low, though.

If You Attend Visions Academy:

If you attend Brooklyn Visions, Miles texts you from the moment that he wakes up in order to make sure that you wake up with enough time to comfortably do your morning routine, get ready, and catch your train(s) with added flexibility in case of train delays.

^He never used to wake up early before, but he doesn't want you to be late. Not that it's a big deal (Miles has been late more times than he can count) but he doesn't want you to have frequent lateness on your record. Plus, the earlier you get there, the more time you two have to talk and prep for the upcoming day.

Often asks if you feel homesick. He can't imagine how it must feel. He only lives a few blocks away and yet he feels so far from home (hehe, get it?).

^^Does his best to make you feel accustomed to Brooklyn. He makes it a point to take you out and show you around so that you develop a sense of familiarity and don't feel out of place or lost.

If someone says that Brooklyn is the better borough, Miles will occasionally chime in with a reason or two as to why the Bronx is superior.

Y'all video call regularly to discuss your respective days as well as plan an in-person meet-up.

Y'all often meet-up in Manhattan because neither one wants to give the other the satisfaction of traveling to their respective borough for your meetups.

You two mainly meet up in the expensive, upper-class parts of Manhattan, though because Miles's parents threatened to ground him for two years if he was ever caught hanging around 125th Street.

^Miles takes that threat very seriously because he knows that, as the captain of the NYPD, his father has eyes everywhere.

When y'all get tired of watching the rich, expensive, and privileged go about their daily lives, y'all quite literally spin a wheel to see whose borough you're meeting up at next time.

Miles uses the times that you visit him to show you his life, starting from Brooklyn Middle, to Visions, and then his house.

He uses Brooklyn-exclusive menagerie to subtly flex and persuade you into admitting that Brooklyn is the best borough.

One time Miles suggested that you two visit Staten Island.

You looked at him for a moment, confused, because What's Staten Island?

Once you remembered, you gave him another look. He thinks he's so damn funny.

Y'all actually did end up going and had an above average time, surprisingly.

The next time Miles gets on your nerves, though, you threaten to banish him to Staten Island.

Gleeboot Main Character Descriptions (Original Cast)

Hey everyone, Yes, I know you all know the basics of each Glee Character and what their personalities are, however, what I am going to show is who they are in my series and what issues I will be focusing on fixing for each character. I sincerely hope you enjoy this rebrand of Glee and will consider reading my rewrite. Also, I consider Blaine, Sam, and Coach Beiste part of the original cast so I will be including descriptions of them as well since they all played large parts in the show.

Starting off with the very first character shown, the queen herself, Sue Sylvester.

What went wrong: Sue became a one-dimensional villian as the series went on with an irrational hatred for the glee club and its director Will Schuester making the story predictable. Whatever growth Sue had in her feelings towards the club was always rejected in favor of her being their biggest obstacle which became tiresome as the seasons went on. She also was given an insane storyline of being obsessed with Kurt and Blaine's love story in the final season. What went right: The exploration of Sue's family namely her mother and sister truly gave the depth that was needed to show why Sue became who she was. Her softness with Jean (her sister) and Becky were always so heartwarming and what made Sue a person rather than a characture.

What this means for Gleeboot: Sue will absolutely remain the villian until the needed character developement is cause for her to grow and have new enemies (ex. Coach Beiste's arrival and cutting Sue's budget in Season 2, Coach Roz Washington trying to take Sue's job in Season 3) to keep the story fun and interesting while still keeping the edge to Sue that's needed to make her hilarious yet effective.

Up next is a character who needs a lot of redeeming the coach of the New Directions, Will Schuester

What went wrong: Where do I even begin? Will came off as incredibly creepy with his relationships with students instead of being the inspirational teacher he was intended to be. Also he was incredibly toxic in his relationship with Emma as the seasons went on putting her down constantly and never seeming to support her hopes and dreams which was so uncharacteristic of who Will was shown to be in the earlier seasons of Glee. He also stood his ground on issues that clearly didn't matter (ex. When he got pissed at Sue for banning twerking in school rather than agreeing to help Unique get a gender-netural bathroom). He also bent over backwards to appease Rachel which he was rightfully called out for but the show made it seem like whoever did so was 'jealous' or 'complaining for no good reason'.

What went right: In the first season Will was mostly everything we could hope for as an inspirational teacher particularly in the episode 'Wheels' when he had the entire Glee Club spend a week in wheelchairs so they could understand the hardships wheelchair bound Artie went through. He also rightfully tried to showcase and lift up the entire club earlier rather than focus on his two favorites (Finn and Rachel).

What this means for Gleeboot: Unlike Glee, Mr. Schuester will not be the prime focus but rather a supporting character as the teacher of the New Directions who tries to inspire the group and give everyone an equal shot to feel special. He also will be a teacher that the students lean on for support with issues that they are going through but he will also have his own personal life separated from the club, boundaries will be important.

Moving onto the next character showcase and the first of the original New Directions, Mr. Kurt Hummel.

What went wrong: Honestly I believe a certain writer who shall remain nameless sadly put his own predjustices and voices them through Kurt (the whole Kurt is biphobic story arc anyone?). Which is so unfortunate because Kurt was one of the most accepting characters of anyone who was different. I also believe that same writer would do so many out of character things to make him seem like he was in the wrong all the time which is so sad because so many people looked up to Kurt.

What went right: Kurt was one of the first mainstream gay character which helped and inspired so many closeted gay people to feel like there was someone like them on TV. He also was so proud himself that it was inspiring to watch week in and week out especially in the earlier seasons.

What this means for Gleeboot: Since Gleeboot will be taking place in 2024, so much in the world has changed towards the majority of people's attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community especially in schools where any sort of homophobic slander that Kurt faced would've resulted in displinary action. While unfortunately homophobia still exists especially in a small conservative town like Lima was shown to be a lot of Kurt's early arc won't change as much as far as bigoted students bullying him but the faculty at McKinley High would most likely be a lot more helpful than they were on the show. Kurt will also be one of the most accepting people in the club who will help so many others come into their own.

For our next character, I will not be showing the actor's face out of respect for all of his victims but the character is definitely a controversal one as Noah 'Puck' Puckerman

What went wrong: A lot of Puck's earliest storylines are very wrong, especially in relation to what happened that night with him and Quinn. Unfortunately, the show played it off as just cheating but there are so many indications to it wasn't consentual which is problematic in itself. Also Puck going onto 'date' Kitty is also quite problematic because of the age gap between them.

What went right: Puck's redemption arc from beign a bully to ending up in the air force. I feel like his character is actually one of the few characters who benefitted from the later seasons rather than was hurt by those apperances, although his role was significantly reduced compared to the other characters we've discussed.

What this means for Gleeboot: A lot of Puck's behavior would need to change in order for him to be a rootable character but I believe it would change the essence of his character too much to do that, so Puck will remain a very contraversal character who will eventually learn and grow from his mistakes.

Our next character is our leading male of the group as far as Glee was concerned, Finn Hudson

What went wrong: Instead of being the rootable leader of the Glee Club, Finn did many unforgivable things that to me seemed so out of character for him most importantly being the way he outed Santana in Season 3. Also encouraging Quinn to cheat on Sam in Season 2 made absolutely no sense and seemed more of a Puck thing to do than Finn. Him kissing Emma when she was freaking out in Season 4? Not okay.

What went right: Finn was the glue that held the New Directions together and there were so many occasions that it showed. He was a natural born leader who helped the New Directions when they were at their lowest.

What this means for Gleeboot: Finn was definitely an imperfect character, especially at the beginning of the show but as he emerses himself in the group he learns that image isn't everything and eventually finds his way to do what he loves even though it isn't what's cool, performing. There also will not be any physical cheating from his character.

Our next character is my personal favorite and one that I have done many deep dives into, Quinn Fabray

What went wrong: Much like Kurt, Quinn seemed to be a punching bag for certain writers of the show who took out their frustrations on her leading to her doing many things that were out of character. Also like Sue, Quinn was frequently reverted back into a one-dimensional villian that stood in the way of what many fans saw as the love story of the show, Finn and Rachel.

What went right: Quinn had great character development particularly in Season 1 as well as during Season 3 where she was faced with the reality that popularity wasn't everything and eventually found her way, getting into her dream school Yale.

What this means for Gleeboot: Quinn is such a multi-dimensional character that goes through one of the most intense transformations which will be showcased throughout the series with her going from villian to rootable hero who we all want to see succeed and feel all the pain she goes through. Unlike the original show all character growth will stick.

Moving onto one of my least favorite characters from the entire show, Rachel Berry.

What went wrong: Instead of being the rootable ambitious girl that show wanted us to see, Rachel was incredibly selfish and did cruel things to innocent people (ex. sending Sunshine, who she just met to a crack house) or ruined her friendships by needing to be number 1 (ex. Running for senior class president despite knowing it would hurt Kurt). It got to the point where many didn't want her to have a happy ending, especially when she began to self-sabatoged her chances of her dream role in Funny Girl in Season 5.

What went right: In my opinion not much went right on the writer's behalf for Rachel who was supposed to be the main protaginist. Season 1 was the best showcase of Rachel being the underdog that so many were inspired to root for. She did at times grow like in Season 2 when she tried to help Sam win the duets competition but sadly the positives were shortlived since she was rarely ever put in her place when she was in the wrong.

What this means for Gleeboot: Rachel will maintain her competitive edge and ambition to become a Broadway star but with the self-awareness that she had throughout the first season where she looked out for the group besides just herself, but that doesn't mean if an opportunity comes up, she won't just jump on it.

We are heading back to the adults of Season 1 with our OCD guidance conselour, Emma Pillsbury.

What went wrong: Emma became religated to Will's wife and love interest and we lost all of what was special about her by the end of the series which is sad. Her and Finn kissing making her freak out and not want to get married was such a strange storyline that never quite sat right with me. Also her not having sex with Carl even after marrying him quite frankly made no sense. She was willing to lose her virginity to Will in Season 1 so what changed?

What went right: Emma was shown to be incredibly caring and compassionate for the students which most of the other teachers didn't seem to have other than maybe Will. Though she had her struggles with OCD she did try her best to overcome them eventually going to consuling herself which was an interesting story arc.

What this means for Gleeboot: Much like Will, Emma will play far less of a leading role in the show and will be a supporting character that many of the students will go to with their varying issues and she will do everything she can to offer them help and support.

Our next adult is someone we love to hate, Terri Schuester

What went wrong: Terri being brought back in the Legen of Doom was probably one of the worst things that could've happened during the series. While her character was always shown to be off her rocker, Season 2 was laughably bad with the attempts the writers made to try to sell her as evil then redeem her in the end by having her get the New Directions tickets.

What went right: I feel like her arc in Season 1 was incredible showing how manipulative she was by trying to convince her then husband that she really was pregnant and finding an alternative way to get a child. While in the end they weren't right for each other, I think Season 1 had a more fitting end to their relationship.

What this means for Gleeboot: Much like the other adults mentioned before, Terri will play far less of a main role in the series and be relegated to a supporting role. I will still be showcasing how awful she can be towards her husband and how she would do anything to keep him but there will be far less of an emphasis on it.

Up next we are going back to the students with someone who I completely believed deserved better though I haven't touched as much on it as I would've liked to, Mercedes Jones.

What went wrong: Mercedes in truth was barely ever paid her due with how much she truly brought to the New Directions, frequently being relegated to a background singer who gave out the last jaw dropping note which truly was a complete shame because in my opinion she was quite possibly the strongest vocalist of the entire show (I'm always torn between her and Santana on that one). I also didn't love some of the writing of Mercedes, particually towards her treatment of Sam in the later seasons who had always done everything to show her how much he cared about her.

What went right: Mercedes was shown to be a strong woman who didn't take anyone's nonsense and was one of the few characters who dared to stand up to Rachel which I find commendable. She was a worthy advesary who pursued her dreams and ended up becoming a successful artist.

What this means for Gleeboot: Mercedes will have much more of a strong prescene throughout the series and will not be relegated to a glofied backup singer as she said "I'm Beyoncé, I ain't no Kelly Rowland" and that is exactly how she'll be treated.

Going into the New Directions, our next showcased student is Tina Cohen-Chang.

What went wrong: Tina was severly underdeveloped as a character which lead to many confusing choices as the show went on with her becoming quite the diva which made no sense to the shy character we were introduced to in the first season. Tina also became quite selfish and obsessed with popularity which once against left many scratching their heads wondering who truly is Tina Cohen-Chang?

What went right: I absolutely loved when the writers showed Tina to be supportive, especially of her boyfriends (ex. trying to help Artie learn to dance in Season 1, submitting applications to dance schools for Mike because it was his dream in Season 3). This was the true heart of who she was deep down. She also wasn't afraid to stand her ground on her beliefs (ex. When she felt she wasn't being treated right by Artie she stood up to him).

What this means for Gleeboot: First and foremost, Tina will not be faking a stutter in Season 1, to me it was one of the most unnessarcy storylines of the show. I know the character was originally supposed to have a stutter but I think eliminating the whole stutter part completly would work. Tina will be a very shy and reserved girl who struggles to find her voice as part of the New Directions but eventually finds her courage and becomes a strong woman.

Moving onto Tina's best friend, Artie Abrams.

What went wrong: The writers truly lost the essence of who Artie was turning him into a misogynsitic jerk most of the time who degrated women, something he clearly wasn't when the show first started.

What went right: Artie was great respresentation for those who were physically disabled being that the character was in a wheelchair and was able to show so many people that their disablities don't have to limit their lives.

What this means for Gleeboot: Artie will return to form as the sweet but dorky guy that we grew to love in the first season. While he may be influenced by many of the other guys in the club, he won't turn as misogynistic towards his girlfriends/love interests.

Our final character who made her debut in the pilot is Santana Lopez

What went wrong: I feel like a lot of Santana's insults went too far, especially ones where she body shamed many of the New Directions (ex. Finn, Mercedes, Quinn). Santana also manipulating Brittany who is supposed to be the love of her life without any consequences was questionable at best.

What went right: Santana was one of the first mainstream lesbian characters who helped so many people be seen and heard. Naya's portrayl of the character was perfection. The developement of Santana was one of the few characters who's arc felt complete and well written.

What this means for Gleeboot: Not a whole lot will change for Santana character wise other than her insults evolving to 2024 where she will still roast the hell out of everyone but keep weight out of it.

Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks? Up next is the third member of the Unholy Trinity, Brittany S. Pierce.

What went wrong: Like so many airheaded characters as the seasons went on Brittany became dumbed down which was unfortunate. Also making Brittany into a secret genius made absolutely no sense and making it canon that her biological father was Stephen Hawking also felt in really poor taste.

What went right: Brittany was a hilarious comic relief with her one liners in Season 1 and her relationship with Santana was one that inspired so many fans. What this means for Gleeboot: Brittany was a great respresentation for bisexuals everywhere who like many of the characters made them feel like they were being seen, unfortunately the show never fully embraced Brittany as a bisexual and that is something I would love to change in this story. There also will be no 'Brittany is secretly a genius and goes to MIT' storyline instead Brittany will be mainly focused on her dancing which is a huge part of who she is.

Now moving on to the forgotten football player and New Directions member, Matt Rutherford

What went wrong: We literally learned nothing about Matt other than he was a football player, he was one of the strongest dancers, he was friends with Mike, and he might have had a thing with Santana at one point. Other than that he was a huge mystery which is sad considering he was an original member of the New Directions.

What went right: Honestly, not much for poor Matt which is why his actor left not wanting to be reglated to the background.

What this means for Gleeboot: Matt will absolutely be more developed in the series with him being more than just a body for the New Directions. I don't want to reveal too much about his character but he will have love interests as well as a backstory of why he leaves the New Directions after Season 1.

Finally, from the original cast here is the Asian Dancer himself, Mike Chang.

What went wrong: Much like Matt, we hardly got to know Mike outside of his relationship with Tina only getting very limited characterization in 'Asian F' which was in Season 3!

What went right: Mike's relationship with Tina was one of only two things that was fully realized, the other was his passion for dance which is clearly showcased in his defining episode in Season 3.

What this means for Gleeboot: Like Matt, Mike will be developed a lot more because his dynamic with his parents, particularly his father who didn't approve of him pursuing dance instead of law would be so intersting to pursue.

Moving onto the our main cast who joined the show after Season 1, starting off with one of the best teacher characters introduced, Coach Beiste!

What went wrong: Okay, I really hope my intention is seen rather than what I'm about to write being misconstrued but I truly feel like the show undermined the character of Coach Beiste by making her the first transgender character which did not suit who we had grown to know Coach Beiste as. If the show had wanted a transgender storyline I fully believe they already had the character there that was right for it in Unique, who had already shown signs that she was a trans woman but with Alex Newell not being a member of the main cast, it seemed that role got assigned to Dot Marie Jones as Coach Beiste which to me didn't suit the character at all.

What went right: Coach Beiste was shown to be a caring and kind person who valued their students no matter what. They also generously bought Artie a ReWalk to help keep Brittany's faith about Santa being real which was adorable.

What this means for Gleeboot: Coach Beiste will remain a female coach in this series because to me she always identified herself as 'such a girl' and it felt strange for the show to do a 180 on that in its final season. While this may be contraversal, it's what I truly feel is in character for Coach Beiste. We will have a transgender character in Unique when she arrives.

And now we move on to my favorite male character, Sam Evans.

What went wrong: Sam went from being an absolute gentleman and a sweetheart to becoming a sex obsessed clone of Finn as the show went on. I also hated how they made him like every other guy encouraging Mercedes to cheat on her boyfriend Shane. Not to mention the ridiculous storyline of him being hyponotized to be with Rachel which was ridiculous.

What went right: Sam was patient and kind to a healing Quinn after the year she had. He also was one of the first guys to truly stand up for Kurt and be willing to duet with him which is something none of them would've done. Sam was also such a dedicated boyfriend to all of his girlfriends which made him endearing and adorable.

What this means for Gleeboot: Sam will maintain his sweet and caring nature towards the New Directions and will be one of the first popular kids to call out the town's homophobia towards Kurt. He also will be a loyal boyfriend to whoever he dates, never once cheating or encouraging cheating on anyone.

Our last and final character we will talk about is one that became so popular, he became a mainstay in Blaine Anderson.

What went wrong: Blaine went from a very sure of himself posh character to becoming somewhat of whiny and clingy manchild who couldn't go without contact from his boyfriend which led him to cheating. It was so disappointing to see the downfall of a once great and promising character.

What went right: Blaine was Kurt's rock through a rough time in his life where he was being severely bullied for being gay by a closeted gay. He also helped Kurt adjust once he transferred to Dalton Academy and slowly feel in love with him.

What this means for Gleeboot: I'm going back to basics for Blaine where he will be much more like he was in Season 2, sure of who he is but kind of clueless with love but learns along the way with the help of Kurt.

Y/N Ran To A Door, opened it before closing the door as quick as they could, they backed away from the door breathing heavily, but that slight relief was then broken down as Munci Went Right Threw The Door, you were just ready to die at this point, accepting your fate, but it didn't happen.The black creature walked in front of them, he looked... Concerned?I don't know but it looked like it.They Looked up at him, confused, they stood up, and just stared."Why aren't you killing me?" He just stood there, tilting his head in confusion, he was scared if he did something that made them think he would hurt them.The creature only wanted one thing, Love.They poked him.The Creature was confused on why they did that.Was he... frightening??..He didn't want to hurt anyone, he backed away, scared if they would hurt him. I'm trying to name my characters.

I see there are plenty of baby name charts with gender breakdown popularity charts. But I have no idea why so many names listed as gender netural, one gender does not even appear on the chart or maybe just on the very bottom a year or two. Yet it's gender neutral? What makes it gender neutral if it's so far off. Very lopsided 95%/5% charts, I can kind of get, but to not even show up?

In fact any name can always have exceptions. I know some people both real and fictional with names that do not get listed as gender neutral but are in fact the opposite gender than listed.

How does a name become gender neutral when the occasional rare person just decides to go the opposite (which is inevitable) unless it's actually a trend and starts showing up on charts.

Is there any kind of sexism involved? I don't know but if I apply the same kind of reasoning with hair. People still keep calling long hair for females and short hair for males, instead of all gender neutral hairstyles. Yet there is way more instances of females with short hair and men with long hair than it seems for those names that are so lopsided the other gender doesn't make the chart. Yet the name gets called gender neutral and hair still gets divided.

Tex: Gender is applied to a name on the parent’s or individual’s say-so, and when the name itself is used for another child, the gendered connotations of the original bearer of the name carry over or not as a situation develops.

Sexism is an inherent, though unfortunate, part of gender as a role in society. This is mostly created as a means to make someone feel better about themselves, usually by denigrating someone easily identifiable as Different ™ than them. Sexism is as ideologically easy to adopt as racism, in that it’s usually the first thing someone’s eyes can find when they want to treat someone poorly due to their own perceived deficiencies.

Modern cultural perceptions aside, it seems as if you’re sourcing your worldbuilding and interpretations from a narrow band of sources. On tumblr and WordPress, which our blog is hosted on, there’s quite a few worldbuilding posts related specifically to names that are quickly accessible with a keyword search in your browser of choice. If you have particular cultures already in mind, those are useful additional keywords to help you, and can give you multiple perspectives on how gender may be variably defined.

Licorice: - Oh, names and naming is such an interesting topic! 

Since it’s your own world you are building, you can decide on the naming system they are going to use. Are you trying to create a naming system in which nobody can tell someone’s gender from the name alone? Some of the naming systems in our own world are largely gender neutral. I am told Punjabi is one language in which the majority of the names can be used for any and all genders. 

According to the Linguistics stack exchange, Chinese is a language in which names are not gendered. Bear in mind that I am not a Chinese speaker, and I’m happy to be corrected if this information is wrong, but apparently there is no set of words that are reserved for “proper names” in China. “​​In China you can use any word or words (max. 2 characters) you like as your name provided it sounds good and you find it meaningful.”

Unless I’m much mistaken, the naming systems for many First Nations follow the same principle. You could have a look at these different naming systems for inspiration. Several African countries I lived in gave children names that expressed their wishes for the child’s future - “Talent” or “Success” - or reflected the circumstances surrounding the birth - “No Money” and “Lonely” were two people I knew personally - or even the parents’ wishes for their own future. I knew a guy, the last-born of twelve, whose name was “No More.”

If you want to move away from names that in English are traditionally associated with one or other gender, you could

Invent names, as Tolkien and JRR Martin do. If you choose this route but want to avoid gendering your names, avoid ending sounds that are traditionally associated with the feminine (e.g. -a, -ia) for girls’ names or sounds traditionally associated with the masculine (e.g. -us, -ius) for boys’ names. 

Use ordinary nouns and adjectives as names. In this way you can also express the things your in-world culture values. Are they careful environmental custodians? Then they may give their children names associated with nature: “Summer Rain”, “Green Twig”, “Feathered Nest.” Are they warlike and aggressive? They may give their children names that commemorate weapons or martial qualities. “Fierce Helmet”, “Sturdy Shield” “Steadfast Courage” and so on.

⤜Tsundere Meaning: Tsundere is a Japanese term for a character development process that depicts a character with a personality who is initially cold, stern, stoic, harsh, temperamental, hotheaded before gradually showing a warmer, friendlier side over time

A/N: I havent really written Tsundere before so I hope its okay!!!

It was small things at first, almost too small for other people to notice. But Minho noticed.

Minho knew almost everything about you after living with you for the last three years and spending most of his time with you from High School, so when he noticed he knew he had to do something. It was all of the classic signs of burnout and if people didn't know you well enough they never would have seen it.

It started with you putting off your work until the last possible second, or asking Minho to go and get coffee with you every two minutes when you'd barely begun working. It wasn't like you at all. You were never this distracted or even procrastinated this much if ever not that Minho minded hanging out with you more but he knew it was bad. 

The final straw for Minho was when you began getting snarky with those around you, snapping at people who were trying to be nice and when you started having a cynical outlook on everything. He knew he needed to do something and that was why he was planning on it and had been for the last week.

"Who would have thought it, you're soft for them." Chan laughed as he helped Minho carry a bag through his apartment and into your shared kitchen. You and Minho had been living together since your first year in college, you'd been friends long before that though since you'd attended the same high school together.

"Shut up. I'm just sick of them biting my head off." Minho lied, putting all of the ingredients he needed to wash into the sink and turning to look at Chan who was smirking at him. There was no reason on this planet other than the crush Minho had on you that he would be doing this for. 

Chan knew it. 

Minho knew it.

The only person who didn't know about it was you. Mostly because Minho was grumpy around you and you were too blind to see that he had a crush on you.

"I only needed help bringing in the food, you can leave," Minho grunted, not wanting him to stick around anymore to judge him for what he was about to do for you. But Chan didn't move a muscle, instead, he looked around at the apartment and his smirk grew wider.

You had an exam which meant the apartment had been left empty all afternoon, not only was it spotless but some of the furniture had been moved to the side leaving a large space in front of the TV. Then blankets were piled in the corner waiting to be moved into a comfortable position for Minho and yourself to sit on later.

The Xbox that was usually held up in Minho's room was moved and in the living room which only meant one thing.

Minho was going to be sweet with you...As in, actually sweet and kind to you and share his things with you. Something he never did with anymore. Not even Chan who was like the boy's older brother.

"Out," Minho thundered already knowing where Chan's mind was and the older boy held his hands up in defence not wanting to get into trouble.

"You got it bad Lee Minho. Bad." He laughed wildly and he exited the apartment leaving Minho to look around. Chan had no idea what he was talking about. Minho did not have it "bad" he just didn't want you to be so burnt out you lose your love for your studies. 

Plus. There was only room for one grumpy person in this friendship and the position had been filled long ago by him and you were going to have to fight him for it.

Dropping your bag onto the ground in the foyer you kicked off your shoes, sniffing a little as you smelt Minho's cooking your mouth practically watering at the smell of it all. The one thing that had kept you strong throughout the entire exam was the thought of coming home to his food. It was almost midnight and all you wanted to do was curl up on the sofa with some food and watch movies...Maybe even force Minho into watching them with you if he was still up.

Your mind went back to the food as the smell continued to fill your nose, your stomach growling at you as you made your way through the foyer door and into the open apartment setting. It didn't matter what he made he always made it well and you couldn't wait to dig into it,

"Minho, I'm going to demolish about five plates of your-" You stopped speaking as you looked up at the living room, all of the lights were out and the only thing lighting up the room was the TV set. 

It wasn't like Minho to leave the TV running but then your eyes moved around to see the furniture had been pushed out of the way. 

Your eyes drifted over the TV before you noticed Minho laying on the ground, blankets were underneath him and he was sound asleep on the floor. He must have been waiting up for you and the sight alone made your heart swell up.

"Cute," You whispered heading over to him, the controller was clutched in his hand as "The Witcher 3" played idly in the background. Laughing softly to yourself you knelt down beside his sleeping body just taking in his appearance.

It wasn't often you got to see him look so peaceful and you were going to drink it all up while you could. He was still dressed in the apron you'd gotten him for Christmas. It was a bright pink apron with cats spotted all over it, perfect for him and you couldn't believe he'd actually kept it. 

You could have sworn he would have thrown it out, it was only supposed to be a gag gift but the fact that he'd kept it made you feel tingly inside. Seeing him in his apron meant that he had no doubt not meant to fall asleep while waiting up for you. If that was what he was doing in the first place. You stretched your hand out to swipe some of his hair from his face,

"You're home?" His voice made you jump a little and you whined, his eyes were on you as he stared directly into your eyes.

"Yeah, the exam took longer than expected and I'm ready for a long nap after about five bowls of food." You told him as he slowly began to sit up, his eyes half shut as he looked around for the clock. As if reading his mind you told him the time,

"It's midnight, I'm sorry I woke you up. Did you wait for me?" You bit down on your tongue as you stared at him, his eyes staring back at you blankly.

"No." He answered too quickly as you smirked a little, nodding your head as you decided to tease him just a little.

"Liar. It's cute." You stretched your hand out to move his hair out of his face and he moved away from your touch,

"Don't touch me. Go and eat." He grumbled meanly as he sat up properly, stretching his back as he looked at you. 

"So cutteeee. Minho staying up for me," You gushed dramatically as you began poking his sides, his body jerking to the side as he groaned at you.

"You're so fucking annoying." He hissed as you sniggered, getting up and rushing to get you both something to eat. His eyes on you the whole time as he tracked you not wanting you to fall and slip, the last thing either of you needed was a trip to the hospital. 

When you came back with two bowls Minho was more awake and watching you like a hawk. He wanted to scold you harshly as you began running a little with two hot bowls in your hands.

"Don't slip! It'll burn!" He cried out as you slowed down, carefully making your way over to him as you keep your eyes on the bowls in your hand,

"Spoken like someone who cares." You told him, your stomach doing summersaults as you reached the living room. 

"Someone who doesn't want to clean up your mess." He mumbled as he reached up to take the bowls from you so you could sit down with ease.

As soon as you sat down he stared at you, sliding the bowl into your hand and watching you with careful eyes only looking away when you met his gaze.

"Did you do all this for me?" You asked, lifting the spoon up to your lips and blowing it carefully. The stew had been on the hob for hours and it was still piping hot, the only way you and Minho enjoyed eating it.

"I didn't do it for you. I did it for me." He mumbled, eating some of the stew as you smiled to yourself about it all.

"Hmm mmm." You hummed sounding suspicious of him about it and he hated that. There was no reason for you to suspect his feelings for you and he wasn't going to let them on either.

He stared at you, watching you eat and groaning when you burn your tongue on the spoon. He shook his head as he put his own bowl down, giving you some water to cool your tongue down.

"Do you know what a pain in the ass it is to look after you?"

"No one said you had to." You reminded him teasingly as he stared at you, 

"If I don't, no one else will. You're a loser." You rolled your eyes, you enjoyed the way he was grumpy with you. For some reason it always made you feel closer to him. You knew deep down inside of him somewhere that he did this all out of love for those around him.

Not that he would ever admit that to people but you could see right through him. You knew that the cold act was just that. An act.

"You're the loser," You joked as you spooned more food into your mouth, it had been too long since you had food like this and you let out a hum of appreciation.

"You seem better now. More like yourself," Minho suddenly spoke out and you titled your head at him. When hadn't you been yourself?

"You were being snarky lately and I didn't like it." He admitted as he spooned more food into his mouth, looking at you as you smiled a little. Minho had always told you he hated it whenever you were warm and bubbly around him, that it was exhausting for him to be around and yet, he never left.

Mostly because whenever he was around you and you were bubbly he felt warm inside like nothing could ever bother him.

"Because you like when I'm bubbly?" You arched an eyebrow,

"No. I don't like you at all. And being mean is my fucking job." He looked away from you, staring down at his food as he realised he must have been acting too nice to you lately. 

"Liar. You like when I'm bubbly." You moved closer to him and he rolled his eyes, turning his gaze to you and biting down on his cheek.

"What are you doing?" His voice was harsh, you never sat this close to him unless you were scared of a horror film.

"I'm cold."

"So get a blanket or a jumper," Minho muttered, still not moving away from you when he had all of the possibilities to do so.

"Fine. I'll get a jumper when I'm done eating." You still didn't move and neither did Minho. Not even when he felt his heart beginning to speed up and his palms beginning to sweat from the feeling of being close to you. It wasn't the first time and it wouldn't be the last but he still couldn't help but grow tense whenever you leaned on him.

"Are you uncomfortable?" You questioned, breaking the silence which, Minho was very thankful for. He could have sworn at any moment his heart was going to leap from his chest and hand itself over to you. 

"No. Why?" His voice cracked a little as he looked at you,

"You're tense. You look uncomfortable." You didn't think before you sat close to him like this, the last thing you wanted was to make him uncomfortable around you.

"No...No, It's not that I'm not uncomfortable...I just-" He blushes and shakes his head not finishing what he was going to say. It was way too late in the night for a deep conversation and he didn't want to risk pushing you away from him,

"Finish your food, dumb ass." He mumbled looking down at his food as he realised he didn't want to eat it anymore, he just wanted to sit comfortably with you like this.

You left to get a jumper, coming back in one of his and he groaned at the sight of you but his stomach flipped seeing you in his clothes. It always looked cute whenever you wore something on his on your body,

"That's mine." He tells you as you nodded your head,

"And it's warm." You told him as you span around on the spot, posing for him as he continued to stare you down with an expressionless face.

"Whatever. Sit down," You sat down beside him and he slid the controller into your hands, your eyes widened at the action as you stared from the controller to his face.

"Whoa...You're actually letting me play?" He nodded not looking at you as you began to play on a new save file. Not listening to anything the game was telling you or reading any of the instructions it gave to you.

Your mind was somewhere else entirely as you stared at the screen, walking around with your horse as you wondered what had bought all of this on.

"Why did you do all of this?" You questioned suddenly, your eyes still glued to the screen as you dismounted from your horse starting to battle with random NPCs that were in front of you.

"Because I wanted to spend time in the living room." He lied, you knew it was a lie since you'd known him for so long. Besides, you could feel his heart racing against your shoulder and so you hummed not believing him and he blushed. Physically and literally blushed in front of you and your mouth fell open a little.

"Fine. Whatever. I did it for you. Does it matter?" You stared at him, taken back that he did all of it for you. Surely there had to be some kind of selfish reason hidden away inside of him. Maybe he wanted you to do something in return? His homework? Assignments? Laundry?

"Yes. Why did you do all of this? Do you want me to do something for you? Because, I'm telling you right now there is no way on earth I am washing your disgusting socks," You teased nervously, letting out a small laugh as Minho stared at the screen. Your laughter only makes him feel shitty for doing this, did you really think that little of him that he would only do this for something in return?

"Do I need a reason to be nice?" He mumbled a little, his stomach sinking as he realised how grumpy he must have been around you.

"Yes, because you're Lee Minho. The Lee Minho I grew up for years and was never nice to anybody." He bit down on his tongue as he shook his head, suddenly something snapping inside of him as he stared at you.

"I did it because I could see you burning out...And I didn't-" He rolls his eyes at himself, he couldn't believe he was about to even say it out loud.

"I didn't want to lose your dumb ass." You smirked a little as you looked at him, your heart was now in your throat as you heard him admit it. 

"So, you like me?" You arched a brow and he shook his head,

"No. I hate you."

"Liar, liar pants on fire." You sang out as he groaned at you,

"You're such a fucking child." He hissed and stared at the screen as you died. Sighing to himself he wrapped his arm around you and held the controller with you. Your hands pressed together as you both played the game, but your mind was no longer on the screen. It was focusing on the fact that he had his arms around you, holding you as he began pushing the buttons with you and helping you play the game properly. 

"This is the first time I've ever seen you smile." You admitted as you looked up at him, your head was resting on his shoulder while he gamed. You'd given up trying about half an hour ago and were content with watching the way Minho seemed to lower his guard down around you.

"I like spending time with you." He spoke without thinking and his whole world seemed to stop for a second. His eyes widened as his fingers on the controller ceased to move.

"You do?" Your voice was so hopeful and he blushed, nodding his head. The cat was already out of the bag there was no use in fighting it back inside.

"Is this why you did all of this? To tell me you like me without actually saying it?" You quizzed as he began Rolling his eyes and dropping the controller down, you stared at one another in silence for a while. 

"Minho...I- I don't want to get mixed feelings...Either you like me or you don't." You were beginning to let your insecurities get the better of you. The two of you had been friends for years, maybe you were reading too much into all of this.

"Yn, I do...I do-" He groaned at himself for not being able to find the right words to say, he could see the look of panic on your face and he held your hand in his.

"I'm saying..." Sighing he shook his head as if moving it around was somehow going to move the words to his lips, 

"I'm saying I like you, idiot." He mumbled before you smiled in relief, 

"I knew it, I'm totally going-" You hummed against his lips, wrapping your arms around his neck and deepening the kiss as you pulled him closer. The kiss was so soft and passionate as Minho snaked his arm around your waist, drawing you closer to him. He was afraid that if he didn't hold you right now he was going to wake up and have it all be some kind of sick nightmare.

"You like me," You whispered as you pressed your foreheads together, laughing to yourself a little as he sighed. He knew this was all going to go to your head eventually.

"Don't let it feed your ego, you're still annoying." He mumbled, leaning down and kissing your lips over and over again, in small peeks.

"How can I not? I'm the only person you're going to be nice to," You wiggled your eyebrows and he pulled back, looking at you with a smirk.

"Who said I was going to start being nice to you, loser?" You jabbed his arm playfully earning a grunt from him as you leaned forward and kissed him once again.

"Can we sleep out here tonight? I don't want to move." You admitted as you snuggled closer to him, his hands gently running up and down your arms smiling warmly at you.

"Sure. How did your exam go? I-I forgot to ask." He stuttered nervously as you laid down on the floor together, putting on a video to fall asleep to in the background. Minho had to find the creepiest one he could before snuggling into you,

"Pretty well. I think I aced it,"

"You always do well," He whispered, pressing a gentle and soothing kiss to your shoulder as you snuggled closer together under the blankets. Falling asleep together almost instantly as you enjoyed the closeness of being with one another just as you had always wanted.

now let me tell you, shopping sprees. 100%, Arashi is all about taking you out to go shopping. It's quite literally you and her thing. Sometimes Leo questions why she's always leaving practice as soon as it's over, is Arashi picking somebody over her unit? (he does eventually learn that it's you for the reason she leaves so soon)

she usually buys you new shampoo, conditioner, and other self-care products when she notices you’re running out or just cause she thinks you'll like the smell (because she also likes the smell) before you even know the bottle’s empty, she already bought new ones for you~★ not to mention she also buys toothpaste and floss when they’re on sale. Arashi pays close attention to all the makeup and skin-care products you buy. if they leave bad results.... she’ll make a mental note to not buy that brand again! (￣ ￣|||)

Arashi usually insists on you coming with her when going abroad but sometimes Arashi has to go without you cause business is on the line of course! and you're most definitely aware-- and usually can accept her missing presence. but that doesn't stop the fact that Arashi feels a little bad if you're left behind for long on her trips! especially if you happen to be clingier than usual when she returns. If that happens she always makes sure to fit you into her next flight so you don't get too lonely

speaking of you two when she's away: phone calls and facetime are frequent! even if she's somewhere where the time zones are different & she ends up calling you at 3 in the morning- she's still calling!

all in to listen to you ramble about things and your day, as she finds it very adorable in a way how passionate you are when you speak on things you like... does prefer to be actively involved in conversations though! so do try to conversate with her too!

Arashi usually wakes up before you do but she won’t get out of bed right away (unless truly necessary), instead she will stay in bed with you and watch you while you’re peacefully sleeping ( ꈍᴗꈍ) her lips curled into a highly smile from just how adorable you are, cupping your cheek before letting out a giggle. “Good morning, my love~” she whispers as you start to wake up and finally lift your body from the bed before pressing a little kiss to your forehead~. She loves lying in bed with you in the morning, peppering your face in small kisses, and snuggling up close to you with no intentions of letting you go either! It's a blessing almost, when she gets to do these things- since she's mostly occupied with work and Knights and when she returns from a long day of working, modeling.. performing.. you’re already knocked out like a bear, so she adores the hours in the morning she can spend some time alone with you, even going as far to risk some of her time on just staying in bed with you :heart:

This dude takes an unhealthy amount of nighters, either have it be cause he's in his room in the underground archives or because he's playing video games like overwatch in the house you two share together— so you might wake up at midnight seeing this dude's back in your face & you have to force this idiot into going to bed (ノ_<。)ヾ(´ — ` )

You know it's mentioned he has a cat, or multiple cats… at his parent's house? Well, once he invited you over in hopes for you to meet his parents, and his parents and the kitties seemed to like you. Which to him was quite a surprise since his cats are similar to him, and not very quick to open up. Smelling on you and nuzzling your legs as soon as you came around them "(^._.^)ﾉ meow"

Natsume has a habit of waking up early despite being the horrible night owl he is, he's usually out of bed by the time you open your eyes to make breakfast or shower, the only indication he was still there is his phone's bright light. But sometimes, he just can't resist waking you up with him, the way your cheek was smooshed against the pillows o((*^▽^*))o eyes closed as you clutched onto the blankets, a leg strewn on top of his. His gaze rests on you, softly taking in the scenery, him unable to resist leaning down to press a light kiss to your cheek, pulling back just to press another one, soon enough peppering your entire face with kisses, feeling you stir underneath him, groggily rubbing your eyes “Natsu— what time is it” you mumble, struggling to push him off you “7:24, so go baCK to sleep”

“But you're the one who woke me up?....” and you can feel him snicker on top of you as he moves to pull himself off of you, only to be stopped when he feels your hand loop around his wrist, pulling him back “You woke me up so you gotta stay” you murmur, pulling the blankets aside to make room for him to lay back on you and much to your satisfaction, he doesn’t resist.

Contrary to popular belief! He likes to go on dates with his partner in the public eye, dare I say he also likes the thrill of getting seen with you by fans so they ask him a bunch of questions and he gets a reason to lovemail you. Knowing that you might be incredibly happy if that were to happen, or maybe embarassed... Knowing that those words of love he said will sooner or later he heard by thousands of his fans. ♡˖꒰ᵕ༚ᵕ⑅꒱ and probably even some back at ensquare, you might get a nose full from some curious teasing oddballs (wataru and rei especially)

He has some sort of nickname for you, the "kitten" nickname stays forever though even though it makes you screech sometimes— and he's aware of the effect it has on you (if it's negative, then he's planning on calling you kitten way more than he did when you two first met just cause he finds It, If not... a little humourous)

You'd have to explain to Jinx that you'd never forget her, all she did was have to find you at your place

↘ Kazuya may look bored a lot, but he loves talking about music with you and going to various second-hand bookstores looking for old vinyls and other valuable items (vintage drumsticks, funny stickers, guitar picks, etc.).

What you really love about him is that he tries to catch up with you in your passion, although he cannot play drums and has no musical ear.

↘ I think he listens to completely different music (something like Nico Collins or Doja Cat) but he still loves what you do. He loves your slightly altered versions of the original songs. He appreciates your independent contribution and how much time you spend on it. And when you do covers of his favorite songs... daaaaamn, he’s in love with you even more.

↘ He definitely goes to concerts with you and even if he really doesn’t understand this type of music, he loves to watch you sing and put your hands up while having fun with the other fans of the band. He’s so supportive and sweet that you just want to strangle him with your love.
