I need someone with drawing talent to draw what the full wagon from “a psalm for the wild built” looks like. I yearn to see it

The thing about fucking off to the woods is that unless you are a very particular, very rare sort of person, it does not take long to understand why people left said woods in the first place.

I haven't seen anyone else say it but I really think the Monk and Robot series could turn into a cute romance, especially after finishing Book 2... Like there would be so many interesting things to explore around love, sexuality, body... Stuff.

Mosscap responded with a single heavy nod. "You see," it said. "You understand. I wish you didn't, because I know it means you're as tangled up as I am, but...I'm grateful that you do."

I just finished A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers (please go read it) and it has got me thinking about Neverafter. There are spoilers ahead, but it’s okay.
Dex, the protagonist of the book, has everything they could ever want: a family that loves them, warmth and comfort, and a fulfilling job. Despite this, they are unhappy and restless and tired. Mosscap, a robot, essentially tells Dex that it’s okay, and their life does not need a purpose.
The fairies in Neverafter are like Dex. They are obsessed with everyone having their place and achieving the happily ever after. The characters, however, are not satisfied with this concept because their choices are superficial. They don’t like their prescribed purpose, maybe they don’t want one at all.
I think I was wrong about this season. It’s not about capitalism, it’s maybe about what our purpose is and our identity. Sure, capitalism can complicate that, but it’s more about self satisfaction.
Or maybe I think too much.

i bring all my book fanart (usually 1-2 of each max) to cons even though 90% of it doesn’t sell, and i have some labels saying ‘book fanart’ etc that draw the occasional reader in. but this results in being so regularly accosted by sjm fans…..
“do you have acotar??” no 🙂

Dex threw Mosscap a look and lowered their voice as far as it would go. "What kind of books does Ms. Amelia collect?" "Oh, entirely pornography," Mosscap said. "It was very educational."
