*Raiden wasn't a particularly shy person, but he was stressed by the fact that he would have to go to the "freak hideout" - Mortkranken. Although his tense state is still more related to that local ghouls are completely crazy.*

*Without being too ceremonious with questioning ordinary students, he managed to find out the location of his room, even though he was called a barbarian and rude behind his back. Now he was standing in front of the door, pondering his next course of action. Raiden was not too eager to climb out the window like this psycho either. So he just knocked, just like normal person.*

At first, no obvious movement was heard within the room. Only, after a second attempt of knocking did the sudden movement of someone who didn't expect a guest was heard as items were possibly getting thrown [or hidden] into place.

Then, the door's lock clicked and was opened marginally for Auggie to see just who the person was. When a familiar Vagastrom uniform was spotted on the other side, the door was fully open as a rather excited Auggie stood underneath the doorframe.

“Hehe, I didn't expect you to visit!!” He smiles brightly, happily pulling the unfortunate first-year inside before closing the door. “Sorry for the mess, its usually worse.”

His current outfit, given the state of his rather haphazardly organized room, were plain pajamas pants and an old t-shirt that hasn't seen the sunlight for twenty years. What was he doing before? Not important, probably reading or something equally uninteresting.

random fact - the human heater joke i made on the @/mortkranken-plague account is not really a joke.

a lot of my friends call me a human heater due to how warm i tend to be, but the downside is that i get so cold that i have to steal heat from others.

Episode 15 will be Hotarubi! Like last time they didn't put the episode title somewhere I could actually see it so we won't know until Episode 14 comes out tonight. In any case we know the outfits for the mission are called "yume yashiki" which I believe means "dream mansion"! Sounds like a Barbie play set-- And we'll also be getting casual outfit sprites for them!

Introducing (some of) Darkwick's Tabletop Club

I really wanted to take a stab at making some gen admission students to be in a tabletop club at Darkwick and these three crawled out of my brain. I have a hc that Kaito is also in the club (he's super into it but also way ashamed of it) but I didn't include him because I was lazy TT-TT I do want to draw all of them playing a game together someday though!

Anyways here's way more information on them than I need to share:

All three of them are super into ttrpgs, but also dabble in LARP. Hana is usually the one who likes running games, but they do swap turns with Nakamura being a close second frequent DM.

Very unlikely friends given house rivalries and their own personalities, but somehow it works well?

Actually the house choices are funny because originally I was going to make Hana a Mortkranken student because she's studious. But then I was like "haha wouldn't it be funny if she was actually a mechanical engineer in Vagastrom" so I moved her. Also I don't think there are any women shown in Vagastrom in game??? Which sucks because I would love to see some. Also, the little writing and designs on her skirt are inspired by sukeban skirts!

Punzie is in Hotarubi because she's an aspiring tattoo artist. She's super dedicated to it actually, and she has a particular interest in pulling influence from traditional works for tattoos. The tattoos on her thighs were supposed to reference a specific kabuki play but they sort of devolved into doodles. She looks way more intimidating than she actually is. Her favorite class to play is Cleric.

Nakamura is in Sinostra. I don't have a particular reason- he's sort of cunning? He does well working as a dealer in the casino because he has a sort of baby face that seems to make people trust him (or the opposite- people swing one way or the other with nearly no in between). He's pretty self-interested when it comes to work, but he can be surprisingly supportive of those he's fond of. Kaito usually avoids going to Nakamura's tables like the plague, but on the rare instance they do end up in a game together Nakamura has enough mercy to slip him a couple small wins. He likes playing rogues and/or barbarians.

It works with surprising efficiency. The second-year's attention shifts from Raiden to the question he was asked.

“I do, but like I said before, I don't have many people to talk with. And the general students scare me, so I don't like talking to them.” He sighs, his grip around the first-year's waist tightening imperceptibly. “I am trying to talk to other people, but I can't. It technically isn't part of my list of taking care of myself, but humans are naturally social and become increasingly more miserable the longer they go without social interaction.”

Since Raiden had visited him on Valentine's Day (albeit in a more normal fashion), Auggie decided to repay the favor today as he finally decides to actually go to Raiden's place in a normal fashion.

Now normally, he wouldn't have done anything in a normal fashion, but he wanted to get to his boyfriend as quick as humanly possible without much of an inconvenience. The Mortkranken student had been overthinking the gifts he had wanted to get for the first-year, but finally decided on something reasonable (what he hopes is reasonable at least).

With the second-year nervously making his way through Vagastrom, by the time he got there, he looked like he'd gone through horrible things rather than asking other students where Raiden's dorm was located.

The gift itself was rather simple, a can of mint soda and a couple of interestingly designed wheels for the Vagastrom ghoul's skateboard. They were practical enough for him to use, and maybe he'll get praised for doing a good job!!

*Raiden's intuition told him that something was going to happen today. Perhaps because the last days have been too boring and something has to happen. Or maybe this is a distinctive feature of ghouls? Who knows, but still this feeling was there. And my intuition didn't fail.*

*He heard the sound behind the door leading to the hallway, as if someone was shifting from foot to foot with something metal. After waiting for a couple of seconds, waiting for the sound to stop, the first-year finally broke away from his business and opened the door, looking outside with a questioning expression on his face.*

Ah... It's you. I didn't expect you to come in through the door. Didn't the local punks snap back too much?

*Iwasaki smiled and leaned his shoulder on the doorframe. He was very amused and surprised that such a modest guy as Auggie decided to come to the dormitory, which also does not have the best reputation. Can say that this is almost a heroic feat, about which ballads and legends can be composed.*

An expert doctor with a lazy streak, always making time for frequent breaks between her vigorous work. Though gruff and detached, she still handles matters of the lab with utmost care. Some theorize she was a hellion in the past.

Made from the OG Ruby, from a zombie apocalypse AU.

She is a ghoul. Her stigma is invoked with “Valu”. It causes everyone in a certain radius to look directly at her. If they’re already looking at her, it will cause them to look in the complete opposite direction. This can be stacked once before it simply doesn’t take effect anymore.

People tend to overlook her and sometimes even seem to forget she’s standing nearby.

She is a licensed physician that graduated at the top of her class.

She was the former Captain of Mortkranken, but willingly gave it up to Yuri.

During the Clash, she lost her “most important person” and cut off the students in her year for several months.

Unlike other Mortkranken students, she enjoys being active. However, she’s not very sporty.

She used to dance ballet, but now only does so in secret as a hobby. Leo posted a video of her at some point though, so it’s not so secret anymore.

She’s not close to her parents, nor her younger brother.

There’s a large set of scars on her left arm covered by a tattoo of a snake. She tends to cover it, because the design of the tattoo, she’s noticed, makes people uneasy.

She claims that a friend gave her the tattoo to cover the nasty scar.

It appears she’ll sometimes refer to herself in third person.

You could say she's ambidextrous.

Her artifact's special ability is that the snake ornament on the blunt end of the staff can enlarge and act as a sort of surfboard. She can use it to drift across moving surfaces, but can't go against the flow of it.

This Ruby is actually a biologically perfect clone of the original Ruby Haida.

OG Ruby made a demonic pact and wished for a twin sister. From her own severed arm, Our Ruby was formed.

OG Ruby kept Our Ruby a secret, and Our Ruby grew envious of the fact that OG Ruby was able to live a life outside of a room. Our Ruby made her own demonic pact after that, as well as began setting up a plan to kill the original and take her place.

At the last minute, Our Ruby realized she had made a mistake, and tried to stop the murder from happening. However, she was too late. As a result of trying to interfere, her left arm was severely injured.

The surgeries and recovery from the damage have permanently scarred her inner-arm, and she can no longer fully bend or extend her left arm and hand. She used to be left-handed exclusively.

Feeling guilty of taking OG Ruby away from the few people in her life that were close to her, Our Ruby took it upon herself to live in her stead as if it was an impersonator that had died instead.

OG Ruby was very studious and wanted to be a doctor, but Our Ruby liked to sneak out and hang with delinquents. Some of them remained her friends as she went through medical school.

Our Ruby was given a different name when she was “born”/cognizant, but she has since discarded the name.

She is ashamed to talk about the murder because she feels like it happened “for no good reason”, and haunts her to this day.

Since looking into her background, Nicholas has been suspicious of her, and she's aware of his desire to investigate her further. She hasn't revealed this to anyone, and doesn't plan to, but tends to avoid him like the plague when able.

at this point, im just waiting for him to come to my bedroom with no warning (i need a change of pace that isn't me climbing his window for the third [or fourth? i lost count Dx] time :T)

Sleep has been elusive for the Mortkranken second-year until now, his head had hit the pillow and nothing could even stir him awake. Not even Yuri's excessive yelling or anyone passing by his room.

It was only until he woke up from his week nap (accidental coma) that he felt... odd. Sure, it was likely the position he slept in, but this wasn't the usual “Ough, I slept with the position akin to the number eight.” No, this was something that would clearly throw off his schedule for the next week.

Stretching the way he usually does, Auggie seems to find that his hands had been replaced with biscuit makers. In fact, everything about his small feline arms seems to send off alarm bells in his mind, which is about the same time frame he pieced together what happened.

He had become a cat. He didn't know what breed, all he knew now was meow meow.

Now, the problem lies in the fact that one; he had no way of getting out of his room without meowing like a wet kitten; two, the possibility of getting picked up and taken who-knows-where; and three, he couldn't get his usual dose of affection from Raiden.

This was clearly a horrible mistake the deities above were playing, and it made the (rather large) cat pace on his bed and panic. He couldn't live like this!! Who knows how long it'll be until he turns back!!! This is the worst, the absolute worst!

[TL:DR - Auggie gets turned into a cat for a 3 day long April Fool's event per the suggestion of one of my irls. It was either this or his personality switched.]
