1) Address something I discovered only hours after my previous ask: The original '60 serie also had completely different names originally! Both the '60 and 1973 series got some new dubs w the right names at some point, apparently? It was a surprise to me bc even my parents who grew up on the '60 series always used the correct names, so I incorrectly assumed that had always been the only real names that were used.

2) i beg you to PLEASE tell me abt the localizatiom lore you mentioned knowing in the tags. I'm a curious person by nature and i love fun facts abt different lenaguges.

Morticia is still Morticia in all. Perfection doesn't change I guess xD

Fester is Fétido (foul-smelling, fetid) in Spain and Lucas in Latin America.

Pugsley is still Pugsley in Spain but Pericles in Latin America.

Thing is Cosa in Spain and Dedos (fingers) in Latin America.

Cousin Itt is Primo Eso ("cousin it") in Spain and Tío Cosa ("uncle thing") in Latin América.

Grandmama is usually translated as Abuela (granny, grandmother) in both versions.

Lurch is still Lurch in Spain, but Largo (long, tall) in Latin America.

And our star Wednesday is Miércoles (wednesday, literally) in Spain and Merlina in Latin America.

I find the names for Gomez and Pugsley extra funny because Homer(o) and Pericles were the names of some of the family pets (a spider and a octopus).

En un principio los disfraces serían de Morticia y Homero Addams, pero cambié de idea luego de ver la película de Lisa Frankenstein. Hope da demasiada vibra de Lisa, entonces sí, disfraz perfecto.
