I think every fic has this word more than once but I decided to use it to actually force me to write instead of using something that was already put down. So this is a lil excerpt from bestest boy (working title)

Lucha and Frank continued to sit off to the side watching their boyfriends argue back and forth. Their heads bouncing from Nick and Matt like a game of tennis.

“We’re very lucky.”

Frank growled questioningly, his eyes still on the argument between the other two as both their boyfriends were now nose to nose but still arguing rather than attempting to throw a blow.

“I just mean to have them, their loyalty, their love. The argument is pointless honestly but they just… really love us. I feel lucky.”

“Rowr, arw growl.”

Luchsauraus laid his hand over his heart, “that was really beautiful, you truly do have a way with words.”

Mortos waved him off but Lucha could see the red creeping up on his neck. He decided against mentioning it.

“Relax, I’ll call him,” Roderick sighs. He calls, and the first time, no one picks up. He groans, and dials again.

This time, it picks up.

“MATT!” Roderick yells into the phone. “Where are you?”

“Oh,” Taven says, somewhat strained over the phone. “Roderick- um. Sorry, I’m with- Mortos. We had to…do something.”

Roderick sighs, mouthing to Bennet that he’s alright. “You need to text us next time, Bennet was driving me crazy asking where you were.”

“Sorry,” Taven says, and then hisses, making a weird sound after.

“Matt? Are you okay?”

“Yeah, just- just stubbed my toe,” Taven says, voice wavering, “um- can I call you back? I’m- a little busy.”

“Yeah, we just wanted to check in on you. Tell us next time!”

“Yeah, okay- bye- fuck!” The call ends abruptly.

Roderick pulls the phone from his ear, looking at it confused.

“What? What is it? Did something happen?” Bennet asks.

“I don’t know,” Roderick says with a sigh. “He’s with Mortos, so he should be fine. We’ll call him later. He sounded busy.”
