Just me being me and thinking about OC stuff.

I really want to share more of my OCs, but they also touch on like…more mundane tragedies, stuff that people can experience in day to day life. There’s nothing really fun about it, it’s just sad.

Moriko faces domestic violence that ramps up when her husband realizes she’s carrying Takumi. And her coping skills are absolute shit because of it, which leaves her struggling to perform up to the standards of motherhood.

Gordy struggles with alcoholism that only gets more out of hand when his father passes, and maintaining his sobriety when he mutates is fuckin’ hell when his depression veers wildly out of control.

Geraldine is just a bundle of religious trauma and what happens when women are seen as disposable. And Slash is what happens when you let your family’s expectations control you.

I reblog posts about how you need to write the stories you want to tell and there are so many stories I do want to tell, like, so so badly. I love my OCs and I work hard to portray their hardships with care and the like, so like…what’s stopping me? The vulnerability, maybe? It’s not like I’m shy about showing them off, but writing them out for people to read, oof.

Yuzuki, Akira and Olympia are all ex aequo on this. I have seasonal Blorbos but these three are the most consistent ones

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)

Moriko is the little funny scrunkly. She is so Mascot Shaped. I love her and drawing her. I miss drawing her, in fact, i should draw her more

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)

A lot of them but the one that comes to my mind immediately is Naoko. She is Scrimblo Bimblo incarnate in that she doesn't stand out that much but if you love her? You love her

I also don't put the other 3 Yakuza Enforcers/akira coworkers as much on the foreground so maybe they fit (on here at least, with my friends though? They are blorbo level)

Oooxhar is a rather non-important character but by gods she has the FUNNIEST fucking lore ever.

I resonated so much with Moriko Morioka that I cried every episode, I felt such a deep connection in my heart with her, something that I really don’t say I ever quite felt with any character before her.

She’s a mess, she’s confused, she does her best, messes up anyway, and keeps trying despite this.

She drops everything in her life because she just can’t, and then rebuilds from there at her own speed.

Also, I refuse to believe she isn’t pan or bi, because her actions romantically are just... ... Momo just has to be, even if it isn’t canon, even if I’m projecting, I don’t care.

I adore that series with all my heart.
