I love your writing, and I feel like you write the boys well! ♡
So im here to strike while the requests are open , this might be a bit specific though -
Levi and Mammon (I think they fit best) with a mc who happens to have extreme luck when it comes to certain games with gambling aspects. Ex. Like gacha games and claw games (Levi) or Games like Poker or any card game when its become a bet about anything (Mammon)
But! The reader never seems to care if they lose or not, or even what they win. They mostly only care for the "haha funny what if i win" aspect of it.
(I went to Japan and won two identical plushies from different clawgames because I thought it would be funny if I won first try when I tried it on another machine...)
Hello, anon! Thank you, that's such a nice thing to hear! As for your request, I think it's a super cute idea! I'll make the text longer than usual because it's just for two characters. Also, congratulations on beating the claw machine! I hope you liked the plushies
lucky mc with gacha and casino games
-> leviathan and mammon x mc
mc's gender is not mentioned, not proof read
content warnings: gambling, suggestion of lucifer hitting mammon with a slipper
-----
Mammon
he took you to the casino one time for a date (gee, what a prince romeo)
he was losing every grimm he had to blackjack, and yet he kept playing
mostly because he wanted to win so you'd praise him
and at every loss, he'd say something like: 'I lost cause I ain't playing at full power yet! watch me, the great mammon's about to earn mad bank!'
eventually, you asked to play a round, mammon let you, and you won, every round
mammon is flabbergasted
but you didn't seem to care, you just thought it was funny how you won every time
mammon, still in shock, then proceeds to drag you to the poker table
and even there, you won every round
he got super happy about this fact, not only because you were earning money for him, but also because, well, you're his human
he goes up to the dealer and goes like 'that's my human over there! impressive, ain't it?'
then, he started playing again, got greedy, went all in, and lost
lucifer's slipper at home will have quite the fun later
Leviathan
there's this hana ruri spin off gacha game he installed
currently, there's an event where you can win an insanely rare ticket in-game, that grants you 10 free tries for the claw machine at the hana ruri collab cafè (please imagine this is possible)
said claw machine contains limited figures and plushies
of course, levi is busy spending his life savings on the game
he really wants the limited merch
you are casually walking past his room when you heard a loud screech coming from inside, so you went in
you thought levi got hurt, but no, his most recent 10-pull was useless, and he screamed from frustration
you tried pulling in the gacha, just for fun
and yep, there was the ticket
cue levi praising you like you are the author of tsl
because you pulled the ticket, levi takes you to the cafè with him, and you manage to get everything levi wanted on your first try
levi was way more excited than you though, you were just calmly laughing about how funny your luck is
in all his excitement, levi kissed you as a thank-you
two seconds later he was all blushy, though

S5 Ep 4: But His Name Backwards is Nomolos????
World is still kind of a mess, so lets go back to Yugioh, during an arc that is so incredibly tame that no one has died. Not even a little bit. No one has risked the destruction of the ecosystem with Pegasus’ historical fanart drawn on digital playing card. No angry gods have done really anything. They’re all on break.
Except for Pharaoh, but Pharaoh isn’t that angry anymore ever since the Orichalcos thing. He mostly just talks about card matches I couldn’t care less about because it’s Grandpa and Joey.
hey you know what bro just noticed that I haven’t noticed over these past 4 seasons--Look at Yugi and Yami’s hair.
Yugi’s hair has 3 extra floppy down bangs by his eyes. I just always assumed those were the same number as Pharaoh’s bangs--but turns out no, those are Pharoah’s streaks but flopped down.
Which means when he de-charges, his hair just flops over directly into his eyes.
And now I have an urge to animate something for the first time in years (spoiler: I do not have the time to animate this.) because WHY would they never animate this hair flop for us??? The POTENTIAL.
Grandpa spends most of the time saying “Joseph, can you guess what card I’m holding???” and Joey is like “Why would I tell you that? I’m trying to play a game? Would you stop explaining the rules? it’s getting kind of weird.” and I got a little bit of an insight into what the homelife of Yugi Muto must have been like growing up with a Grandpa who is just always talking about cards.
It does explain why Yugi plays so freakin slow, though.
(read more under the cut)
This is clearly just a visual gag but also maybe this is also how the Doctor just gets around?
Speaking of visual gags and getting around, it’s our two most inconsequential minibosses, refusing to leave the series.
Y’all let me know last time that we are in fact, still in America, and I guess this is proof of it, because there’s no other way they could have walked here. I mean Yugioh is real bad at geography but they seem to have a good grasp of a big ass ocean existing betwixt Japan and the US.
Not sure where they got those rad Hobbit outfits, though. If this is their new look, I’ll accept it.
(Yes, this is a new font. Again, I’m trying out stuff to try and make it accessible. I will figure this out before the season is over)
Honestly, I didn’t think Rex and Weevil could get much worse than being dead. Thought that maybe waking up in a hospital bed after joining the Big Bad would be enough of a wake up call to the direction their life is heading.
But, considering that this arc has no real villain so far other than a guy who likes the color purple and bathing in milk...maybe that’s fine. It’s not a BAD thing to play cards, necessarily. This doesn’t make them bad people...it’s what you do with those cards.
Like destroying a Caltrain with it, for instance.
Unless of course, the amount of energy it takes to do a card hologram is the same amount as an NFT, in which case I guess that would make them bad no matter who you play against. But we live in a universe with Noah in it, who probably had enough energy pumped into that orb to fuel like 15 Americas. Fossil fuels seem to be just fine in this universe.
In fact I don’t think it’s ever come up? Surprisingly, Seto Kaiba has never had to deal with an eco terrorist, unless you counted Raphael. That is hella rare for a 90′s early 00′s show. I feel like they were contractually obligated to have at least one fossil fuel episode.
Well, good for the Yugioh universe, who managed to solve the energy crisis off screen. Good for them.
PS Hawkins said this and afterward was like “I just want you kids to appreciate what you’re seeing here today.” and it’s like damn Hawkins. Condescend much? This old guy is like King of Throwing Shade While Appearing to be Helpful.
Anyway, the gimmick of Solomon Muto is that he plays a bunch of history cards. Arthur Hawkins was super excited about it, but I feel like the other kids were like “We straight up have never heard of any of these old ass cards for a reason.”
Bro has informed that this card also sucks ass IRL, and like...I’m not surprised.
(grandpa’s font has also changed to something he’s actually wearing, and to something that is way more legible.)
To think that during the time Grandpa spent trying to get this dragon working, he could have been researching the damn God Cards and helping Pharaoh figure out his past history. Youknow...that history stuff that he devotes his entire life to studying.
Course, maybe Grandpa was smart enough to know NOT do that. I feel like Grandpa putting the brakes on revealing Pharaoh’s history is reason enough to just not open that Pandora’s box, but that will be another arc, I guess. This one we’re just showing some ancient dragon merch to sell toys to kids IRL. Gotta have your episodes to remind you that Yugioh is in fact toys.
Also, Hawkins proceeded to point out to Yugi in a way without literally saying it, that Yugi doesn’t go home often enough to distract his Grandpa with cards.
Which Hawkins followed up by throwing shade at Joey Wheeler for the rest of the match, since he was the only one here who stans Grandpa. You can see who Rebecca gets it from, is what I’m saying.
Joey reveals his only motivation to be here--which should be to get a plane ticket. Like their only reason to be in this tournament is already done?
But his other motivation is silly.
uh huh.
Tristan really did lay this specific dunk in the show. He is being given a plane ticket to do nothing. Wow, Tristan.
At least Joey’s motivation isn’t based on fixing some girl. For once Joey is just doing this for himself and not for a relationship that will never happen for at least several years, or to be a Father for his oblivious Sister. Thank you, show. Course I say that, and there could be another Mai arc right around the corner.
Anyway, there really isn’t much else to say about this arc other than Joey has finally bested his mentor in a card game. Still can’t best Yugi or Pharaoh or Seto or hell, probably even Tea or Mokuba if they ever pulled out cards again...
...but he bested Grandpa, who got polished off by being beaten up by several thug-like holograms.
Not sure why he fell over other than...something in the holograms must be real in this universe. There’s no other reason this would happen!
(honestly I can’t handle Grandpa’s face. It looks. SO BAD. There’s something offsetting about it that I really do not like, and I think it’s the eyes and the tiny nose and the very skeletal bone structure--I don't like it)
Like every person here is convinced that Yugi’s grandpa is one step away from keeling over and it’s low key hilarious to me. The man has died and been resurrected. You think Pegasus did that bad of a job??? Grandpa Muto will likely outlive all of you.
This show really can’t lift Joey without taking two more punches to get him back down. Like the show keeps telling me that Joey is a complete idiot, and he kind of is, but I want to point out that he is a talented idiot who was second in most of the tourney’s he’s been in and he should have killed Marik straight up if he wasn’t like struck by lightning first.
Yes, he got distracted and raced after Mai last season so he prematurely died, but that was clearly just a phase because I don’t see Mai here.
Yes, in the actual show, they each said “ohhhh” and it’s like...the brain damage on these kids. We need to get them back to school.
I think there’s like 30+ other characters introduced but the only ones I know are Rex, Weevil, Leon, and...the girl who hugged Yugi once? I don’t remember her name. But they’re probably next. I feel like this is a bit of a slower arc, but hey, if anything it’s easier for me to cap.
anyway, if you just got here, this is a link to read these in Chrono Order!
https://steve0discusses.tumblr.com/tagged/yugioh/chrono
I’ll have you know I wrote this whole thing thinking Nomolos is a Fleet Foxes song and it hellllllllla got stuck in my head, but it turns out the word I was thinking of is Mykonos.

My history with King of Prism and worries for the future
Poor Nikkanen. They made us wait TWO YEARS for the release of the full version of his ONLY song. I don’t think Prism Rush was supposed to end when it did, and the unreleased songs are more or less proof of that. (I mean what were they saving them for? I doubt the “Best Of” collection was what they originally had in mind.) I had always assumed that some time after SSS ended we’d start getting new songs on Prism Rush again and get another Prism Rush compilation CD. But that did not happen.
Did SSS not do well? I mean... having been in a sold-out theater many a time I had assumed that it did quite well. But maybe the TV ratings and/or DVD sales weren’t what they should have been. (Then again, if we’re just talking about Prism Rush, it wouldn’t matter how well SSS did or didn’t do if people didn’t spend enough money on the app to warrant releasing new songs for it.)
But that aside... it is a bit concerning to not only have Prism Rush ending, but over a year after SSS, to have nothing on the horizon in the future except for some “Best Of” discs... Maybe they’ll announce something at the Zoom show? Maybe they won’t.
It may be too early to start mourning the King of Prism series as a whole, but...
But I can’t help but feel myself starting to mourn at least my own future with it. With no new Prism Rush content and without ability to go to in-person cheering shows, I... I just I... I feel like I may find it hard to keep as passionate as I have been in the past. And to make matters worse, I’m not going to be able to work on my translations as much as before either. When I was translating 2-3 events a month on my Prism Rush translation blog, I had no job and then like... half a job. To make a long story short recently that first job not only got upgraded to full time, but I got another job as well. So now I have a job and a half and... a lot less free time.
For a long time my main fandom has been split something like 49%/51% Love Live/King of Prism, but with the constant stream of accessible new Love Live content and lack of much of anything King of Prism I think that percentage will soon change...
And so, while feeling emotional about all this, I started mentally revisiting my favorite moments from my time in the King of Prism fandom. (It’s all stuff I’ve talked about before, but if you’d like me to dig up the post or explain the details, do let me know...)
(In somewhat chronological order-ish)
*Stepping out of Toho Cinemas and into the Bay City Nagoya Mall in early January 2016 not knowing how to process what had just happened. I’d heard people talk about how exiting to the parking lot after seeing Star Wars the first time in the 1970s was a bizarre experience. They didn’t know how to tell people the world was different now. I thought to myself that this was probably the same feeling. How could I tell people the world was sparkling now?
*Three weeks and three showings later, realizing I did not want to trade after I opened up my Shin filmstrip bonus. “I think I like him.”
*Hanging up said filmstrip and my other original theater bonuses on the wall of my apartment. “King of Prism won’t be in theaters much longer”, I thought to myself. “It was fun while it lasted.”
*The radiance exploding from me as I talked to OTHER PEOPLE who had seen King of Prism for the fIRsT tIME (a thing that did not happen for several months).
*Tokyo cheering shows back in the heyday. Looking around a giant, screaming, sold-out theater in Ikebukuro after many months had passed and realizing I was a part of something much bigger than I had realized.
*The first Animate Cafe in Kyoto. Everyone gleefully answering “Naaaani” while listening to the explanation of how the cafe worked. The miracle of getting my first, and still favorite, cafe Shin badge.
*Screaming at the Over the Rainbow event live viewing when they announced Pride the Hero. We did it. We really did it. We were actually getting the sequel I once thought was impossible.
*The midnight showing of Pride the Hero. People crying before it even started and the thunderous applause after it finished that I thought would never end. (People in Japan usually never clap after movies.)
*Music Ready Sparking. (The first concert.) The feeling of seeing SePTENTRION (long before they were called that) rising up to the stage to perform live for the first time.
*The realization that I knew all the words to Dramatic Love, despite having never sang it before. (The instrumental began during the credits at the concert and we all... just... started singing. Japanese fandoms usually never sing at concerts unless directed to.) This is probably still my favorite moment of all time in the King of Prism fandom.
*The announcement of the Prism Rush app and the golden age of the game. Biting my nails with anticipation over what would happen next in the White Day event.
*Screaming in the theater during the Rose Party 2018 event live viewing when they announced SSS. We did it. We REALLY did it this time. We got an actual anime. We reached the mainstream.
*The adventure that was reading Road to SSS for the first time on Prism Rush and trying to predict what all the duos would be only to be blindsided by completely new characters. Going from “the heck are these guys” to “MY SONS” regarding the Amamoto twins over the course of about an hour.
*Listening to everyone (not so) silently laughing, screaming, crying, and otherwise sUfFeRiNg during the non-cheering midnight premiere of SSS Part 1 and realizing I had never felt so emotionally connected to any such other large group of complete strangers before.
*Going from the Nagoya premiere straight to the SSS greeting show in Tokyo where Junta Terashima looked at me... maybe. (I’d like to think he did.)
*When the OP played for the first time during our very first SSS livestream on Rabbit and seeing y’all just typing “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” into the chat.
*In Tokyo, walking out of KFC in the POURING rain and stumbling upon SePTENTRION’s shopping street despite having completely missed it the first time. IT WAS REAL.
*Glancing over at my TV screen during our very last SSS livestream on Rabbit and having the color drain from my face when I saw Shin in his Daisuki Refrain outfit (which was not shown in theaters) for the very first time two minutes before you guys in the chat would see it, and having no idea how to contain this emotion.
*Clicking to another tab after our last SSS livestream to type my commentary post and then clicking back to see you guys collectively making the Wiki page for SePTENTRION on Rabbit.
*Prism dolphin show.
*The CLOUD of real (fake) money flying through the air during Kakeru’s prism show on the during all-night Prism Shower showing of SSS. (Also people offering to pay for young Alexander to go to the Prism King Cup.)
*The miracle moment when I finally got the livestream for the Rose Party 2019 on Stage to work on Kast despite a typhoon and an earthquake. THE PRISM SPARKLE PREVAILED. Dangerously walking back to my hostel in said typhoon and sleeping for about an hour and not even caring because I was convinced more than ever that the prism sparkle is real.
*Seeing Shota Aoi live for the first time, realizing I was looking at a literal angel, and not knowing how to contain this emotion.
*The chills during an orchestral Dramatic Love.
*A very overdue performance by my favorite boy during the Best Ten movie. It was worth the wait. Feeling I may actually be able to leave Japan with no regrets thanks to Daisuki Refrain.
*The Best Ten greeting show in Nagoya where Masashi Igarashi jumped an original Nagoya-themed prism jump.
*Finally telling Junta Terashima and Masashi Igarashi my feelings in the letters I spent days writing to put in their present boxes at the SSS live.
*Dropping all my luggage when I stumbled upon the very place, the very scaffolding under which Minato met Kouji for the first time in Shizuoka. IT WAS REAL.
*Masashi Igarashi waved to me at the end of the 2nd performance of the SSS live... maybe. (I’d like to think he did.)
*Hearing the “Naaaani” response to anything ringing through the Makuhari Messe hall before the SSS live and just thinking about how far we’ve come as a fandom and yet how much has stayed the same.
Like I mentioned earlier, I had a moment in early 2016 when I hung up all the King of Prism stuff I had on my wall and thought “It was fun while it lasted.”
It looked like this:
Nowadays I have two FULL photo albums filled with concert tickets, theater bonuses, post cards, coasters, stickers... (Not to mention an entire drawer filled with my collection of Shin merch.)
Everything inside is a memory of some event I went to, something I ate at a cafe, some kind of experience I had such as the ones I talked about in this post... It’s always been pretty disorganized because I was constantly getting new things all the time.
But now that I have no idea when (...or if) it will be added to, I can finally take it all out and organize it by character or something.
But I’ve been avoiding it.
Because I know when I do, there will probably be a moment where I close the cover and think to myself “It was fun while it lasted.”

And I’m 💯 sure that you’re blocked and you can eat it.
But I would like to talk about this idea a little, actually. So, here are a couple of points:
The thing that a lot of modern-day “Bleach fans” don’t get is that as far as Japan is concerned, the only thing that really sells Bleach to the mass-market general audience is Ichigo and Rukia interacting. The hard truth those “Bleach fans” refuse to accept is that most of fights sucked, most of the mysteries sucked, and other than the two of them (and maybe Toushirou and Byakuya) most of the characters aren’t interesting to the average person. If you liked Bleach for any of those three reasons (or any other minor reasons), then you are in the absolute minority of nerds.
The cold, iron truth of economics is that you sell media properties in one of two ways: either by drilling down to a highly dedicated fanbase (e.g., moe-blob anime with extremely jacked-up Blu-ray prices) or by appealing to as wide and shallow an audience as possible (e.g., the Marvel Cinematic Universe). The interesting thing with Bleach is that those two audiences, by the numbers, are actually interested in the same thing: Ichigo and Rukia, and more particularly, IchiRuki.
Bold claim, I know. But you don’t have to look hard to see it. This is why the musicals were focused on them. This is why the LA movie was focused on them. And this is why both of those deemphasized other ancillary characters, especially Ichigo’s human friends like Chad—or Orihime: because they are essentially irrelevant to that largely singular fixture of the series and are forgettable other than to some hardcore nerd. (The only other thing that comes remotely close to being as iconic are the Soul Society fights, especially Ichigo vs. Byakuya.)
This is also why every time the property has been reinvented for a new market (again, e.g., the musical and the LA movie) the focus has always been on early Bleach: because it most showcases their interactions and establishes their foundational emotional connection. This is in large part why arcs that more and more deemphasized their interactions suffered increasingly worse sales, to the point that Bleach was consistently ranked 20th out of 20 in Weekly Shounen Jump’s ratings on a week-to-week basis. Less Ichigo and Rukia, and especially less Ichigo and Rukia together, means less sales. This is why TYBW and WDKALY sold abysmally, and I’m willing to bet that CFYOW’s numbers aren’t too great either considering it features neither of them at all.
This is furthermore why Studio Pierrot gave them so many moments, like the ice-skating and fireworks date that they used to send off the anime: because IchiRuki sells. And not much else does.
So, having established that, let’s talk about your idea.
Ichika and Kazui don’t make sense, because their existence in TYBW isn’t established. They simply appear, like the rest of the ending, with no buildup or explanation. In other words, there is no reason to invest in them as characters; they are simply designs walking and talking on a page. (And surprise, the only people who cared “about” them at all were people like you who were pleased as punch that it was evidence that Ichigo and Orihime, and Rukia and Renji, fucked. And even you lot don’t care about them, because there is nothing about them to possibly care about. You care about them as symbols and nothing more.)
However, what would make even less sense is to introduce them without having TYBW at all. For the anime to jump from Ichigo and Rukia having an ice rink not-date to having Ichika and Kazui running around in their places would be a bit like jumping from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, to Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens in 1983, instead of having Return of the Jedi. It really isn’t possible to overstate how much that big of a leap would lose an audience, whose reactions would be, “What the fuck is this? What happened?”
As I have previously calculated, animating TYBW would take about 4–5 seasons and about 3–4 years of production. So, unless you wanted to pull one of the strangest continuations ever in media history, you’d be waiting for that to wrap first, and presuming its financial success (which is dubious, for the above outlined reasons, and its relative historical print failure which got the manga cancelled).
Setting all that aside, Ichika and Kazui are not photocopies of Rukia and Ichigo; they are genderflipped photocopies of Renji and Orihime. There is a reason why, despite the best efforts of IH here on Tumblr Dot Com, the IR community has never warmed up to them: why would you take a cheap clone knockoff that can’t even trace the original properly when you could just have the original? This will likewise hold true for a general audience. If a random-ass person in Japan knows anything at all about Bleach, it’ll be Ichigo and Rukia. Going, “This isn’t them, but here’s the same great taste but less filling!” is going to get you a response of, “No thanks.”
Setting that aside, what exactly would be the premise? The Espada were retconned in from the aether and people were fine with them, since they were basically just the inverse and mirror of the Shinigami. But people didn’t much care when Xcution were retconned in from the aether. And they didn’t like it when Yhwach and the Sternritter were retconned in from the aether. And they really don’t care now that Tokinada, Hikone, and Aura were retconned in from the aether. Are you really going to have a fifth group of baddies we never even vaguely heard of before showing up? Or are you going to just recycle a set? “Oh, no, Aizen has escaped Muken and has made the Super Fullbringer Espada…” Please. The concept is tapped out: it either has to keep inventing new bullshit and pretending it was always around, or it has to recycle the same ideas but in a less exciting way. Or it has to be rebooted.
It is clear that something or other is happening with regard to Bleach for this “anniversary” event, but the evidence, in my eyes, doesn’t match what you would see for TYBW being animated, let alone for some kind of Boruto-style series.
The event has been marketed in a rather low-key fashion, which is weird considering the 2020 Olympics are a once-in-a-generation event which provide the perfect hype vehicle (and which Shueisha has been using to push other WSJ properties). If you were working on a large or risky project, you’d want a lot of hype—either to prepare the audience, or to maximize your initial buy-in and returns if it’s going to flop (e.g., Anthem). Being cautious indicates both the scale and risk are small.
The emphasis on the voice actors who are appearing at the event are all for classic and popular characters: Ichigo, Byakuya, and now Rukia. You know what fans don’t like? Having a bait-and-switch pulled on them where their classic faves are affiliated with something, only for them to be radically deemphasized in the actual final product. (Just look at the three recent Star Wars movies for some proof of that one.) It is far more likely to be something focused around them.
MegaHouse is making new Bleach figurines this year. But the designs they’ve chosen so far are… Fake Karakura battle Armored Yoruichi (who I’m excited for), and Hueco Mundo style unreleased Grimmjow. If you were going to make merchandise for TYBW or a next-generation show, it’d make a lot more sense for that merch to be… actually related to those events, rather than “classic” designs, now wouldn’t it? To go to the Star Wars well again, they weren’t trying to sell Qui-Gon Jinn or Lando Calrissian toys with The Last Jedi.
To me, all the evidence indicates that whatever it is will be some sort of “Greatest Hits” OVA or something like that, with a focus on the Aizen era of the series. Maybe a lot of the “best” battles redone in really high quality. Maybe a video game. Maybe a reboot of the series from the start. Hard to say. But it doesn’t look an awful lot like TYBW, let alone a next-generation effort.
Now, I’m not saying that either of those things are impossible. I’ve been wrong before in this life (for example, I didn’t think Putin would invade Crimea), and I will be wrong again. I could be wrong about this too. I can only speak in probabilities.
But what I will say with confidence is that committing to TYBW would be fairly dumb as a business decision given everything that is evident about what makes Bleach sell.
And committing to a next-generation series at this stage before doing TYBW would be even dumber.
And doing a next-generation series without doing TYBW would be even dumber still.
Now, stupid people are in ascendancy worldwide in all kinds of endeavors, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that someone greenlit something so dumb. But if they did, I don’t think it’s going to do so hot.
So, good luck, I guess.

Tag Game - Answer their 10 questions and then think of 10 questions to ask other friends!
I was tagged by @kiribaku-is-endgayme ! Thanks for tagging me, I enjoy doing these things and hardly get tagged on em (especially here on Tumblr, haha) My tags and questions are at the bottom!
1. Do you believe in soul mates?
Not really, but kind of at the same time! I do believe you can meet the right people and get along with certain people very well
2. Whats your favorite genre of movies, T.V. shows, and anime?
Action is probably my most favourite! But, I enjoy a mix of action with other genres most of the time. A few of my other favs include sci-fi, supernatural and fantasy!
3. Are you optimistic or pessimistic?
People may say that I’m more of a pessimist, which may be true, but normally I think I am either that or in between. I try to look at what the likeliest/most realistic thing is to happen in a situation. But, when there’s a 50/50 outcome, most times I can be more pessimistic.
4. Is there a movie you can watch over, and over again and not get tired of.
I couldn’t watch any movie over and over again in a short period of time, I prefer to have watching one movie spread out to at least once a year. So I can’t say! If I watched a movie too often, I’d think I’d get bored of it for a long while.
5. If you could live in any other country than your own, what would it be?
One place I’d pick would be Japan, because a lot of my favourite things were made there, such as various anime and Pokemon! So it’d be easy to get merch lol, and touring places would be easier and super fun! Another potential place I’d choose would be France, because of all the interesting foods and places I’d be able to see and try everyday (plus, I take French class, so I know a bit more about France and can speak some French)! Europe in general is just super cool, I really want to visit any of these places someday in the future because I’ve never been to Europe or Japan!
6. If you could switch two fictional characters to eachothers universe, who would they be and why?
I don’t know my top choice but something random and interesting to me that just came up in my mind would be switching someone from Cuphead with someone from Dragon Ball XD Just because it would be very weird for both worlds, and it would be interesting to see how Cuphead or Goku would handle it! It’d also be interesting to see how power levels differ if they are allowed to keep their powers!
7. Do you believe in aliens or some other life form outside of Earth?
Meh, I’m neutral to this topic, I won’t believe in aliens until there is actual proof XD There are possibilites, since the universe is so large. Who knows...
8. What mythical creature do you wish actually existed?
Dragons, I love ‘em. They’re so cool, and I love drawing them too! If they were real, it would be interesting they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, with different abilities (and I would hope some are friendly lol)
9. Whats the most pleasant sounding accent to you?
I don’t really know, I find all accents cool and special in their own ways! Does my own count, because it is what I am used to? Idk XD
10. Do collect anything like, figures, posters, or funko pops?
Yep! I have some anime figures, tho most are the $20 made in China ones on ebay lol (they’re decent quality XD). Lately I’ve been wanting to get some real ones, I have three legit ones so far! I do also have some Funko pops, I’m collecting all the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance ones (I’ve got em all so far, waiting for new ones I guess)! I also collect Pokemon cards + stuffies!
I’ll tag some friends/acquaintances/few peeps who pop up in my notes semi-often/whatever the freak you see me as lol. Sorry if you didn’t want to be tagged or have been tagged for something like this already! And sorry if I didn’t tag you! SORRY! @spectrumscopix @sireniana @leoart2006 @jesterdoodlez @rawrness-blog @perladellanotte @sunny-day-doodles
Here are my questions, feel free to answer them!
1. What is your favourite OC or OCs of yours? Share links if you can!
2. What is your favourite art piece of yours and/or a friend? Share links if you can!
3. What have you been doing the most to keep you occupied during these quarantining times?
3 + 1. Got any pet peeves? If so, want to name some?
5. What is/are the best thing(s) that has/have happened to you recently?
6. Do you have any recommendations of things to read, watch, play, etc.? Give a very small summary too, please!
7. Have you ever traveled to a different country? If so, where have you been and what were your favourite parts of your travels? If not, where would you want to go and why?
8. Favourite colour(s)?
9. Got any awesome memes to share?
10. Lastly, how are you doing this morning/afternoon/evening/night? I hope things have been going well for you, including anyone reading this!

The Blue Exchange (3/3)
Detective Conan/Magic Kaito: Hakuba Saguru, Kuroba Kaito, Nakamori Aoko, Baaya Blurb: Of all the things Saguru expected to find upon coming back to Japan after accidentally getting dyed blue while on a case in London, having Kuroba Kaito offer to help return his appearance to normal wasn’t one of them. Editor’s Note: Takes place after An Expression of Gratitude but you don’t need to read that fic to understand what’s happening in this one. Fic Type: General Overall Fic Warnings: Near Death Experience (mentioned), Death talk (mentioned)
Ao3 Link FF.net Link Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Of all the ways Saguru expected to spend his first afternoon back in Japan, sitting on a mat in Kuroba Kaito’s bedroom while his number one KID suspect carefully smeared a dozen different creams onto his arm to ‘test’ potential cures would never have occurred to him.
It left him feeling... conflicted.
Because on the one hand...with nothing to do but sit there, Saguru was quite free to look around his bedroom and take advantage of this excellent opportunity to snoop for concrete evidence that Kuroba was indeed KID.
But on the other hand, Kuroba was going out of his way to help him with no obvious ulterior motive that he could see--Saguru frowned, running his eyes over the room again. Wait a minute. Why wasn’t--
“Would you quit fidgeting?”
Saguru jerked his eyes back to Kuroba who was glowering at him, a gel like substance in his hands, hovering half a centimeter over his arm. He ducked his head slightly, again feeling his cheeks heat up. “Apologies, Kuroba-kun. My mind wandered from the task at hand.”
Kuroba raised an eyebrow. “Wandered? To what?”
Like it would be a good idea to explain that he’d been looking for evidence of a connection between Kuroba and KID. He shrugged a shoulder. “It’s nothing.”
Kuroba rolled his eyes, placing the gel above the six lines of cream already on Saguru’s arm. “You might as well tell me what you’re thinking, Hakuba. I can see it eating at you.”
Saguru shook his head, fully regretting looking over the room in the first place. “It would not be polite, Kuroba-kun. Since you are helping me.”
Kuroba scoffed, though his eyes danced with silent laughter as he applied yet more gel from a different bottle. “Not polite---so you’ve noticed something….KID related in my room and you’re what? Trying to not investigate?”
“Correct.”
He smirked, pulling a towel out of nowhere, though Saguru suspected it had been hiding in his sleeve, to wipe at the first of the creams revealing the skin underneath it unchanged. “I said I had nothing to hide. Tell me. You’re not going anywhere any time soon.”
That was true. Saguru exhaled, watching as Kaito wiped away another line of cream to reveal his skin unchanged. “For being KID’s number one fan…” He said slowly, picking his words carefully. “I find it….odd. That you have no KID merch whatsoever here in your bedroom.”
Kuroba paused, eyes darting about the room before he smirked. “Observant.”
Well, he had asked. “I am a Detective, Kuroba-kun.”
“Mmmm. And I suppose you have a ton of detecting stuff in your room?”
Kuroba would know. Though Saguru had no physical proof his classmate had ever entered his house. “Yes. I do in fact. But you have said multiple times you are a magician and the only…” Saguru tried to not grimace. “The only KID or non KID related magician thing I can see right now…” He tilted his head towards the wall. “Is that portrait you have there. It’s...odd. And I’m--” He exhaled, staring down at his arm and still blue skin. “I’m trying to not question it because that would be...rude since I am a guest here, to try and…” He shook his head. “You are helping me, Kuroba-kun. I’m not--” His mouth twisted. “I don’t want to---I just can’t help it.”
“A detective sees a mystery and needs to solve it.” Kuroba said softly. “I’m familiar enough with the concept, you’ve prattled about it in class often enough.”
Saguru raised an eyebrow. “I wasn’t aware that you were listening.” Of course, he figured Kuroba had been. Even if his eyes would glaze over whenever a case not involving KID was brought up, Kuroba had proven time and again that he knew more than he appeared to. “After all, not all my cases involve your precious Kid-sama.”
Kuroba snorted, slightly shaking his head. “Precious, huh?” He said under his breath as he pushed up his long sleeves to the elbow before grabbing another bottle of gel.
That tone. Despite himself, Saguru leaned forward, careful to not disturb the tinctures Kuroba had smeared on his arm. “Is he not?”
Kuroba was much slower at wiping away the third cream, again revealing Saguru’s skin unchanged. “Did you know?” He asked, carefully applying more gel to the spot. “That I was just like you--well not exactly like you.” Kuroba looked up, smirking. “You’re too boring Hakuba, but I didn’t like KID when he first reappeared either.”
Huh? Saguru blinked, raising his eyebrows. “You...but--in class!” From his very first day in school with the magician, Kuroba had spoken nothing but KID’s praises. To hear that he hadn’t liked KID when he was KID--that--how was that possible?
Kuroba chuckled, though his eyes held no laughter now. “Honestly, I had no idea the guy existed until Aoko told me about him the day after his first heist...I was offended by KID actually.”
“You were?” In all his research--Saguru had never known this fact. Aoko hadn’t brought it up at all when he’d questioned her about her childhood friend.
Kuroba nodded. “Of course. How could anyone consider a thief.” His eyes flashed at the word. “To be the best magician in the world, especially after everything Aoko knows about my Father?”
Father. Kuroba Toichi. A famous magician who had died nine years earlier, leaving his wife and son behind.
Kuroba shook his head, wiping at the other creams on Saguru’s arm one at a time, checking to see if they’d altered his skin. “I told her that day I would prove KID was nothing but a two-bit wacko con man. That I was the better magician and catching him would be a walk in the park.” His mouth twisted. “She was rather bitter when I came back after that second heist proclaiming myself as his number one fan and that I no longer wanted to catch him.”
“It does seem...a rather odd change of heart.” Saguru said slowly, staring down at his blue arm. If what Kuroba said was actually true. He’d have to confirm with Aoko at a later date. But if it was true. And that Kuroba wasn’t just acting for Aoko’s sake...then that first heist had been--That Kuroba had met---
A third phantom.
One who’d somehow been convinced to stop holding heists after Kuroba went to confront them.
Sure, Saguru had noted a couple of inconsistencies in those first two heists compared to the latter ones. Like the wearing of a wooden mask over his face when confronted by the police. But the thought had never crossed his mind that Kuroba hadn’t been the one to instigate KID’s return. That another had been involved.
He looked up, watching Kuroba as the magician worked. What exactly had happened at KID’s second heist? “Did you even go see KID that night?”
Kuroba raised an eyebrow. “Of course I went. I told Aoko I would catch him didn’t I?”
“Did you?”
His classmate grinned, smearing lotion on his skin. “If Nakamori-keibu can’t catch him, and you can’t catch him, what makes you think that me, a simple magician, could?”
“Because a simple magician, as you say, doesn’t think in the same way as us detectives do.”
Kuroba had proven that time and time again. After all, KID had stayed one step ahead of the police for nearly every heist. Always managing to escape. To wiggle his way through and out of every trap set for him.
“A good thing too. Your lives are so boring compared to mine.”
“Boring.” Saguru repeated with a soft scoff. “Are you serious--”
“Never.” He winked.
Saguru rolled his eyes. “Liar.” He’d seen Kuroba be serious. In the moments when his classmate thought no one was watching.
“Magician actually. Not the same thing.”
He exhaled. At this point it would probably be best to drop the argument. “So…” Because now Kuroba had him intrigued and like his classmate said, he couldn’t leave a mystery unsolved. “What happened that night, Kuroba-kun? What made you change your mind about KID?”
Kuroba shrugged a shoulder, a careful wariness shining in his eyes. “What makes you decide that one suspect is the culprit when you originally thought it was another?” That was easy. “New information came to light.” His breath caught. “New information came to light.” He repeated softly.
Kuroba gave the faintest of smiles. “Bingo.”
But if new information came to light...and that resulted in Kuroba taking over as KID instead of capturing him, because Saguru was certain that his classmate was the phantom thief now even if he hadn’t been in the beginning--He frowned, resting a hand on Kuroba’s arm to stop him from adding more creams that obviously weren’t working as he met the magician’s eyes.
“What did you learn?” He asked, keeping his voice low. And why was Kuroba choosing to reveal all this to him now?
For the first time, he saw doubt enter the magician’s eyes. A slight twitch from the corner of his mouth, his shoulders lifting a fraction of an inch in defense. Kuroba ducked his head, staring at Saguru’s hand on his arm, staying silent.
Saguru narrowed his eyes. Kuroba had brought him here for a reason. Didn’t do anything without cause. He too looked down to his blue hand, resting on Kuroba’s bare arm since he’d pushed up the sleev---wait.
There. A tinge of blue barely visible at the crook of Kuroba’s elbow.
“Pardon me.” He whispered, leaning forward to push the sleeve up further, revealing a partial blue handprint on the magician’s arm before Kuroba could move.
A hand print that--He placed his own hand along the mark, ignoring how Kuroba tensed. Saguru’s breath caught in his throat as his fingers lined up perfectly.
A match.
The odds of Kuroba having a blue handprint on his arm the same shade as Saguru’s skin in the exact same spot where he had grabbed onto the officer when getting out of the vat was---
Impossible.
Which meant Kuroba had been in London, disguised as a police officer, while Saguru was there. Why? How?! KID hadn’t announced a heist and no one had indicated that Kuroba had also been gone at any point in school today. Why then did--? He looked up, biting back the questions on the tip of his tongue.
Saguru would have never seen this if Kuroba hadn’t pushed up his sleeves in the first place. He could have easily kept the mark hidden by keeping his sleeves down, meaning that revealing this mark….was intentional.
A test.
To see how he would react?
React to the possibility that Kuroba had been there...as KID? Even if there had been no heists announced while they were both in London?
Saguru licked his lips, slowly pulling his hand back as he looked up into Kuroba’s face. A face that once again had the blank mask pulled on, revealing nothing of what his classmate was thinking.
The handprint on his arm was only a partial. The edges jagged. An inconsistency with how Saguru had held onto the officer’s arm in London. But made perfect sense if it meant that Kuroba had already figured out a cure. Had one ready to use.
Which also meant that there had been no need to test the creams and gels on Saguru’s arm if Kuroba already had the answer to getting rid of the dye. Which meant there was no reason for the blue handprint to be there unless Kuroba had purposely left it for Saguru to find. Which meant that Kuroba could have, for all intents and purposes, cured him at school along with his classmates and had chosen not to. Had chosen to bring Saguru here. To his house. Into this room.
Why?
Saguru slowly exhaled. "I suppose.” He said, searching for the right words to use, to not launch into questioning his classmate then and there. “I owe…someone.” Because he didn’t know just who Kuroba had been. Himself or KID? “My thanks. For saving my life in London?"
Kuroba's tilted his head a fraction of an inch in acknowledgement, the tension in his arm under Saguru’s hand vanishing, leaving him with the impression that he had managed to pass at least part of this odd test his KID suspect was putting him through.
“And as part of this...thanks.” Saguru rested his hands in his lap, studying Kuroba’s body language for any hint of what was wanted of him. “Am I being asked to...not solve this mystery you’re dangling before me about KID and your actions that night of the second heist? Or to solve it?” Because he really wanted to know why Kuroba had chosen to be KID especially if he wasn’t the one to trigger the phantom thief's reappearance.
Kuroba moved, taking Saguru’s arm and carefully wiping down his arm. “You’re being asked…” He said softly, looking up to meet his eyes. “In exchange for removing your blueberry color.” He pulled the towel back, revealing a single stripe of normal colored skin on Saguru’s blue arm. “For your assistance in the near future.”
Saguru’s heart skipped a beat, his mouth going dry as he ran his fingers over the patch, establishing that it wasn’t a trick and that the dye had actually left his skin. “My help? I’m guessing not as a detective. An accomplice?”
Kuroba huffed a laugh, shaking his head. “So quick to assume you’re being asked to break the law.”
“Isn’t that what--” Saguru cut off, pinching the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes. He didn’t know if this favor was for KID or for Kuroba. Even if he thought both were the same person he hadn’t yet seen Kuroba break the law. Which meant this favor could be relatively harmless.
Or it could be breaking the law.
But if it meant not being blue...would he be okay with doing that? “What is being asked of me then?” He asked, noting that Kuroba hadn’t indicated just who was doing the asking.
“Something happened that second heist.” Kuroba said softly. “Something that meant I changed my tune. Came to support KID instead of chasing him.”
Something that made Kuroba become the thief instead of catching him. “You want me to stop chasing KID?”
Kuroba shook his head. “You will be expected to act normally in all aspects of your life, Hakubaka. That is the key. For no one to suspect you.”
Saguru looked up. “To act normally.” He repeated, a bad taste in his mouth. So what? KID could use his face in a heist? “That hardly seems like a favor.”
Kuroba exhaled, running a hand through his hair before pushing his sleeve back down as he glanced to the painting on the wall, the corners of his eyes creasing. “In a future moment...you will be asked to not return something given to you at a heist. If this occurs….and…” He took a breath meeting Saguru’s eyes. “And I…”
Saguru’s eyes grew wide. Was Kuroba--
“Do not show up to class within the week afterwards. You will need to leave.” Kuroba kept eye contact. “Take it and go somewhere that no one would suspect you to go. For this item once found...it cannot be returned and those who seek it...will be furious to not have it. They will not be afraid to kill those who get in their way.”
Kill those who seek it? So Kuroba--KID was trying to find something before someone else did? Was that why he kept returning all the other jewels? It wasn’t the one that these...murderers were wanting? Saguru drew in a careful breath, heart pounding in his ears as he stared at Kuroba. “If you do not return--”
“Leave it to Nakamori to find me.” He said simply. “Your priority will be protecting what is given to you.” Kuroba gestured, a shampoo bottle appearing in his hand. “For it cannot, under any circumstance, land in the wrong hands. If you are able to. Destroy it. It brings nothing but evil.”
He sounded so certain. “How do you know?”
Kuroba shook his head, eyes darting to the painting and back. “Do we have an understanding, Hakuba? Your assistance to stop a darker...entity...in exchange for this?” He held the bottle out to him.
Saguru bit the bottom of his lip, staring at Kuroba. He didn’t like it. Didn’t like it at all. But this...this hinted at something bigger going on. A dark plot in the underground that Kuroba--KID was attempting to prevent. “Why me?”
“Because you’ve proven you can be trusted.” He said simply.
Trusted. Saguru exhaled, shaking his head. “I don’t like this. But if it helps.” He took the bottle. “Just promise me this, Kuroba-kun. That you’ll come back alive.”
Kuroba winked. "Go take that shower, Hakuba,” He said instead, a hint of KID's smirk playing on his face. "I don't think KID would like it if his Tantei-san remained blue forever.”
End.

Tonight’s UtaPri Q
“Do the sales #’s for the Shuffle Units that start on the 12th of December matter?” This is something I have discussed on twitter in a gc and its something I wanted to dive into on here SO...we gonna do it! Ready? Let’s go!
Alright so in about a day in Japan we will be getting the first of the 6 “Shuffle Units” with QN/STARISH/HEAVENS for the “Maji Love Kingdom” to come out next year. THIS is going to be the FIRST OF SEVEN (almost typed something else...WHOOPSIES!) pieces of content that will be coming out from December 12th to now March 13th because of the fact that Broccoli is gonna be busy af with UtaPri and Marketing the CDs and so forth and its mindblowing to be honest. HOWEVER The question of the hour here has to do with “Do the #’s matter” and in a way they DO but not entirely and if you want proof of this...let’s go back to 2016 when “Legend Star” came out for UtaPri! The reason I want to focus on this season and this period right now is I want us to remember the following At this time HEAVENS had been around only since about....2013 but this was going to be their first year as a full-time unit. It would also be the first time we would get to see how the public reacted to having a third group for which to support as far as buying CDs and other merch for so there was going to be that to take into account too! Well here is what happened There were 7 duet singles and then the 3 group singles right? I’m going to do the group part last because I want to make sure that we have them nice ,neat and separated and I can focus on the big part for the comparison. These 7 were Mighty Aura Justice Impulse Visible Elf Lovely Eyes Lasting Oneness Grown Empathy Next Door I know this isn’t entirely in order but there we go I’m going to come out and say this right now: I was more worried (at the time) of how each individual member was going to be received than how the singles were selling. The reason is because ,when I was looking at the episodes, I wanted to see how the fandom took to each individual HEAVENS member and then that MIGHT have helped me gauge interest in the CDs but for the most part (as I found out through the Oricon Style Ranks) that was kind of a moot thing Here were the two I thought would do the absolute BEST just based off of characters in the duets Eiji/Tokiya Masa/Kira Those were the two that I thought would do the best because ,in my head, I was thinking “There is virtually NO WAY you could make either of these really dramatic drama episodes right?” Well...for the most part they didn’t but yet they were two that actually did the poorest and I admit I swung and whiffed on that one when I looked at the episode...OH DID I MISS! See for whatever reason with the first one the HIGHEST that the Eiji/Tokiya single got to was #11 on the daily chart...this was rather alarming because of the fact that when I go and look at the rankings for Seiyuus a lot of the time Mamo is one of the tops and he deserves to be there. I really didn’t know Eiji (Yuuma) that well yet so I figured that Mamo’s popularity would carry them to ,AT THE VERY LEAST, a top 10 but alas that didn’t happen...nor do I remember (cos sadly I don’t know where I put the post on here) where the Kira/Masa duet ended up high but I don’t remember it going to the top 10 either! Truth be told of the 7 singles the 2 that did the best were Lovely Eyes (that peaked at #6) and Justice Impulse (That peaked at #4 and was the highest ranking one) NOW Can I sit here and tell you I know why it happened that way? No and it gets more bizarre when we look at the #’s for the actual group singles. Its almost like to the “Domestic fanbase” (The fandom in Japan) that for the most part the duets didn’t matter and the group singles are what mattered to them. Now I have heard in my group chat that a lot of what this could have been also is timing and what other big releases or artists were coming out that week and that’s true but we also need to remember that when they did the release of all the singles (for the duets) that there was about a 10 day window between when the episode aired and when the release happened. I think the only three CDs that didn’t get effected by this was when the group singles came out and that was a very interesting story in its own right (and even moreso for HEAVENS). Here’s why So the Group singles were to come out at some point during the season. STARISH’s dropped around the beginning of the season and then QN’s came out a little before the end of the season and HEAVENS’ came after the fact which I admittedly thought was curious but looking back it didn’t seem to affet the performance on the CD. So if we took each group single and treated them as “first ,second and third” it went like this 3. STARISH (they peaked at 5th if I remember right) 2. HEAVENS (They peaked at 3rd and out of the 14 days they would be pretty much “eligible” for the chart they were on for 12 days) 1. God’s S.T.A.R. (What do I need to tell you about this one...NADA!) Now don’t take this as a slight cos look...all three CDs were a top 5 when they came out and QN just crushed everyone cos that is just about what they do anymore. They drop a CD and I swear if its NOT a “Top 2″ I’m questioning my faith in Humanity...no joke. The real surprise was HEAVENS though Remember this: of the 7 duets there were 5 that never made the top 10! FIVE! This made me wonder if the group single (which came out near the end of the year remember) would do well because the individual singles ,for the most part, “bombed”. Now we fast forward to November of 2017 Alright can someone explain this to me cos I legit didn’t get it So HEAVENS has their “Duet singles” pretty much tank and then they blow up with the group single...cool! Why then did their “Episode CD” make a top 5 but then just fall off the chart? Like if you think about this it makes things an interesting “sell” for them as a group because NOW you have a situation where the duets were weird as far as how well they did ,the group single for the season does REALLY WELL despite everything before it, and then we get to the situation where their episode CD (which I will remind people was supposed to introduce HEAVENS for those that claim they didn’t “know anything about them”) goes bleh Anyone see where this will be going and what I AM going to be concerned about? NOW WE FAST FORWARD TO THE PRESENT DAY! It was recently announced that HEAVENS/STARISH/QN are going to be in 6 new shuffle units for the movie singles...COOL! The question that we will be answering is: “Do the the #’s that they do as far as the Oricon ranks matter to me?” They WOULD if the #’s from Season 4 were a better barometer AND if all the groups were having separate singles but I kind of get why they couldn’t do that so here we are. The reason I’m really not going to worry about even the first four (although I will be reporting on the #’s) is because each of them will have one QN member in them. Now QN as we all know is stupidly popular so that could help the #’s right there but then we have to wonder about the last two when its just HEAVENS/STARISH again because...well we know what happened in Season 4! There are two #’s I am going to be really curious about 1. The HEAVENS Movie Single (which will probably be announced in almost 10 days time) 2. The new HEAVENS Mini Album that comes out in March. For those that don’t know on March 13th of next year HEAVENS will be putting out a new “Mini Album” called “Anthem for the Angels” which is going to be seven solo songs for each of the boys in the group. The cover for the CD is a little intimidating but I’ll work with it. These are the #’s I’m going to be really looking at because I am also going to be curious when the “STARISH BEST” CD comes out that was announced this year. I dunno if that had ANYTHING to do with why the CD for “HEAVEN SKY” suffered (I don’t THINK it did but if you look at how close they were as far as coming out maybe people wanted to save $$$ for that instead) but you never can tell. I still need to get that CD while I am thinking of it So what’s the point to ALLLL OF THIS?! If you are a fan of HEAVENS on here I wouldn’t panic about the shuffle units because as we have seen that past performance means little when it comes to the group singles. The big thing we need to focus on is March because so far even if we made a top 5 we need to keep at it so Broccoli knows we aren’t going away anytime soon! Talk you in the next post
#Amisbro#uta no prince sama#HEAVENS#Maji Love Kingdom#Shuffle Units#past performance DOES NOT mean future projections

Inazuma Eleven Revival Festival - Review!
WARNING - I will mark SPOILERS for Reloaded and the 2 Ares episodes below!!
Personal Reflection: I’ve been an Inazuma fan since roughly 2010, but TRULY became obsessive from 2013+ when I saw Kirino and fell in love. Inazuma has a special place in my heart because it’s one of my strongest connections to Japan. I learnt Japanese through watching, reading about, listening to and eventually translating for this anime. To actually get to go to an event which marks the start of a new Inazuma series was a dream come true. Being SURROUNDED by a sea of fans wearing cosplays, badges, scarves, uniforms… To know what we have in common is a love for this dumb sakka series - it felt amazing. It would be an even bigger dream come true to make friends with EVERYONE who also loves this series. I hope IE EXPLODES over the next 3 years and I 100% believe IT WILL. And I will do whatever I can to help the JPN-ENG translators!!
Apologies if I’ve forgotten anything important.
Okay! Let’s go!!
Attendees: There was about 2,000 people at the live event.
Before the Event: The merch went on sale from 10am, and you didn’t need a ticket to the event to queue to buy it. I arrived at 12ish and the queue looked to be about 2 hours long, so I decided I wasn’t interested in buying anything for once in my life. I’ll post a list of the merch later.
There was an area to trade merch and take photos with the cosplayers.
The doors opened at 2pm and the event began at 3pm.
START
It began with Endou explaining the rules: no filming, photography etc… during the event.
Then a ‘memory reel’ where they showed screens of all previous characters. Endou CHEER Gouenj CHEER Kidou CHEER Kazemaru HUGE CHEER Atsuya and Shirou HUGE CHEER Reize HUGE CHEER Go Raimon HUGE CHEER (and Araceli cries) Kirino and Kariya ENORMOUS CHEER Shindou CHEER Torb SILENCE… then laughter… Alpha, Beta, Gamma CHEER Fei CHEER Galaxy HALF ASS CHEER
Opening Songs
Preformed by pugcats and King Cream Soda. During the song, the characters came to the audience to dance. There was Endou, Gouenji, Kidou, Fudou, Fubuki, Hiroto, Kabeyama, Asuto and Kazemaru. Unfortunately they never went on the stage so we couldn’t see all of them. Endou high-fived a few people.
Introduction
Hino and Mo appeared. Hino said he’s so happy to see so many people gathered here to celebrate Inazuma Eleven, and the huge crowd is proof Inazuma is Avery loved series. Mo adds it’s been 4 years with nothing yet still so many people are here or watching the live-viewing. They introduce themselves formally - Hino as president of Level 5 and Mo as an employee - and Mo said she will do her best with Japanese today too (Mo, PLEASE your Japanese is AMAZING)…
Hino says this event marks the start of a new Inazuma series.
All-Star Cast Line Up
Guest stars were Nojima Hirofumi (Gouenji Shuuya), Terasaki Yuka (Matsukaze Tenma), Tomatsu Haruka (Nishizono Shinsuke/ Kudou Fuyuka, Hattori Handa) and Kamiya Hiroshi (Haizaki Ryouhei).
Tomatsu’s outfit was really pretty, like a long white dress-shirt and blue jeans. Kamiya wore a black and red jacket that looked really cool. By the way, he seems like a very funny person, so I was surprised he’s playing so many last boss characters.
Before Reloaded, there’s a recap of the story so far. Reize’s opening monologue. Fans went wild.
Hino says this will be the first time the voice actors (minus Nojima) see the completed episode, so they will watch it together on stage with everyone. The sit around their own TV. Tomatsu says it feels like being in a living room. Nojima comments there’s no drinks. Mo and Hino sit with them too. Hino says the reason they made Reloaded is because they had to have a reason to connect the original series to Ares.
WARNING! BELOW HERE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Inazuma Reloaded Opening: Remastered Stand Up Tachi Agariyo
Raimon return after the FF. The whole school is so happy to see them. They’re crowded by fans. There’s a scene of Miyasaka hugging Kazemaru and the audience went nuts. Endou is so overwhelmed he runs to the toilet as an excuse. Kidou and Gouenji call him into the clubhouse.
Comment - Their body language is WONDERFUL! It’s so realistic the way Endou can’t sit still, or Kidou leans forward to speak.
Gouenji/ Kidou say next is the world as Endou gets excited over the idea of playing new opponents.
Hibiki arranges an exhibition match against Barcelona Orb - the team came from Spain to Japan for this match. The match starts and Gouenji tries Fire Tornado right away. It fails when the goalkeeper stops it with his finger then throws the ball back to Gouenji. They next try the Inazuma Break, which also fails. Kazemaru, Gouenji and Ichinose perform the Phoenix, but that doesn’t work either.
It’s shown Hakuren, Zeus, Sun Garden, Teikoku etc are watching the match. This got a huge reaction from the crowd.
Barcelona’s captain the rest f the team start to attack. The captain scores without using special moves. The score becomes over 8 (to zero) and Barcelona’s teammates tell the Captain to give them a taste of their real level. The Captain uses his special move - Diamond (don’t remember the second word, possibly ball) where he carves the ball into a diamond. It’s very beautiful. He scores before Endou can even react. Endou seems reluctant to pick up the ball after that shot, like he’s almost in fear - but that doesn’t last for long.
Raimon lose, exhausted, as Endou lies back and laughs to himself, reflecting on how great soccer is.
Raimon are called into an office to talk. I didn’t catch the guy’s name, but an official looking person tells them that Raimon vs Barcelona proves that Japan’s soccer is not at world level. He wants them to join soccer teams around Japan and strengthen Japan’s soccer as member of the strengthening committee. Endou agrees to it.
Raimon are gathered outside their club house, seemingly worrying. They don’t want to split up. Kurimatsu says it’s okay for the Captain and the others but some f the weaker members don’t feel they have what it takes. Kidou says no matter what happens they will all be connected by their hearts.
Domon and Ichinose are going to America, and the managers see them off at the airport. Aki’s wearing a cute pink hoodie. She’s mad that they’re going to America and tells Ichinose that he should represent Japan. Ichinose says he needs to gather strength in US before returning. He doesn’t know yet if he’ll play for a Japanese team or an American one.
Natsumi, along with the managers, are also given roles as members of the strengthening committee but it’s not revealed what they are. Natsumi has her laptop in any case.
Final scene - Break Trio are on top of the hill talking. Endou still doesn’t fully understand what a strengthening committee member is, and Kidou asks if he was can listening at all. Endou seems to have just heard the word soccer and agreed to it.
They say the next time they meet on the pitch they’ll be rivals. None of the 3 plan on losing. They part ways.
Closing theme:
Remastered Seishuu Oden showing scenes from the Raimon kids’ school life. E.g., Kazemaru and Makksu in class, the kids eating lunch, Kabeyama doing science, the team playing soccer…
There’s a chat session with the voice actors - their thoughts about the episode. Pretty predictable - it was very interesting and great and the animation and remastered moves were great. It’s commented that the leg movement for Fire Tornado is very different, because Gouenji is longer.
They talk a bit about the Captain of Barcelona Orb and the rest of the team. He’s not good-looking but still kind of cool - that’s the kind of character Hino wanted to make. Mo comments on his ‘bear eyes’.
It’s the new characters’ turn to be introduced. The voice actors Ayumu Murase (Inamori Asuto), Michinari Tatsumi (Kimura Ryouhei) and Hanae Natsuki (Okuiri Hiro) come to the stage.
A picture is shown of Baddap, Haizaki and a character from another anime he plays. They all have grey hair and tanned skin and are Last Boss type roles. Kamiya says Baddap was his first villain role and then his second Inazuma role is Haizaki. He wonders just how does Hino see him since he keeps getting villain roles?
Since the topic of villains comes up, a pic of all previous enemies is shown. Terasaki points to each GO character and says alien (Ozrock), future boy (Saru), ghost (Shuu) and human (Hakuryuu). There’s only one human, compared to the original series.
They go through the new 11 members. Some notable comments were:
Michinari - Hino says Michinari is a Captain like Shindou from GO with many worries.
Okuiri - He wears glasses like Megane’s but he’s a much more serious character.
Iwate - He and his voice actor look alike to the point it’s scary.
Mo and Hino say they feel like something is missing from this voice actor chat session - oh yes, Endou! Junko has left fans a message that will be played on the screen.
A word from Junko: She really wanted to come but couldn’t. She says she assumes Hino is talking and talking and talking. She gave her own proverb: everyone, please enjoy today’s event!
There’s a break for 30 mins where they showed Outer Code eps Hakuren, Teikoku and Sun Garden. Fans screamed for Shirou, Atsuya, Someoka, Hiroto, Midorikawa, the group of Sun Garden kids, Sakuma, Genda, Fudou and Kazmaru.
Inazuma Ares 1 (note - some scenes may be out of order)
Opening Theme: Teppen Mezasou! It was epic! The start focused on Inakuni Raimon, we see Haizaki’s GORGEOUS school uniform!!! Like a blue blazer ~ Sakuma, Aphrodi, Hiroto etc appear~
It opens with the Inakuni kids playing soccer. Goujin makes a shoot but Norika saves it. She said he’s getting better. Sasuke is watching them. They take a break. Norika says soccer is great: it can let you forget about all your worries. I think it’s Hattori who is surprised that Norika has worries. Asuto and Michinari decide to ask the principal if they can play a practice match against another team. The principal (Fuyukai) says instead the soccer club will be demolished because they have no sponsor)
Workers are demolishing the pitch. Asuto runs to stop them but they forcefully push him away. Eventually Michinari had to hold him back. Later Norika is bandaging him up. She said she understands his worries but he was too reckless. Asuto asks her is she okay with not being able to play soccer? She says, of course not. Kirina runs over saying there’s bad news about Asuto’s Mom.
Asuto runs to hospital. His Mom apologizes and says she can’t stay with him. Asuto is upset to lose not just soccer but his Mom too. His Mom assures him he won’t lose soccer - soccer will be there as long as he needs it.
Kirina wonders if Asuto will be okay as he runs off. They guess he is going to the highest point in the island. Asuto reaches the top of the hill and screams.
The next day the Inakuni kids are called into the office where they ware told if they can win one match they can get a sponsor if they transfer to Raimon. That means leaving the island and moving to Tokyo.
It’s revealed Sasuke is a recent transfer student.
The kids are shown wondering about their decision to go to Tokyo.
Hiura tells his Grandma he’s going and she comments things will get lonely around there. By the way, she calls him Ki-chan.
Hattori rides on top of Iwate’s back as he rides a bike. Hattori wonders if the food will be good in Tokyo.
Michinari is walking with his father. He feels like his Mom will protest if he goes to Tokyo, but his Dad assures him he’ll talk to her.
Mansaku is at his Dad’s sushi restaurant. His Dad gives him his specialty sushi, and tells him to eat. He says he won’t lose to the food over in Tokyo.
Norika, Hiyori and Okuiri are together that evening. They comment going to Tokyo would be Norika’s first time to ever leave the island.
Raimon vs Seishou. Sasuke makes the First Goal with Fire Tornado. This wakes up the Devil of the Field, Haizaki. He goes wild, scoring again and again. Their are 2 special moves - Overhead Penguin and the Death Zone. Kidou does not appear in this match.
Proverb: Soccer will be there as long as you need it!
Inazuma Ares 2
Haizaki and Seishou are beating Raimon. Agirls are watching the match from a box, making fun of Raimon being from the countryside. Anna tells them to be quiet.
Flashback to 1 week before Raimon vs Seishou.
Inakuni Raimon at outside the clubhouse. Norika tries opening the door but it won’t budge. They comment that Raimon/ Tokyo is very different to their island.
The group of girls come over (perhaps members of the student council? Managers?) with Mikado Anna, who introduces herself as president of the student council. The girls are dismissive of Raimon winning their match against Seishou, but Asuto says they will.
Next the kids meet Ootani Tsukushi (do you remember her? A game only character!) who is very bubbly and friendly. She shows them around the school.
The team get their uniforms and are very excited. Ootani is so excited she’s about to cry. They also get the Inazuma Band - a wristband that measures their exercise levels. It’s also a communication device - the coach can use it to contact them. He does so immediately, summoning them to the field.
They are surprised their Coach is from China. He said he prefers Kung Fu to soccer. He made them a crazy training schedule (think: worse than Kidou from GO). Like 100 laps, 100 push ups etc. He asks them what they have to do? Goujin/ Asuto say train and win their next match. Coach says no - they have to NOT LOSE.
The start with laps through Inazuma Town.
Back to the match. Haizaki’s still demolishing them.
Flashback to a new scene.
Haizaki is showering. Another boy comes in. You see the infamous goggles and Haizaki calls him by his name, so we know it’s Kidou. We only see the bottom half of his face and legs by the way.
Back to the match. Seishou win. Raimon are disappointed but Asuto says while they’re in Tokyo they should do something fun like go to Sky Tree.
Inakuni Raimon are at Tokyo Sky Tree. Suddenly Asuto starts crying. He wanted to play soccer more. The others start crying too, except for Sasuke who is annoyed they are crying in public.
A man walks over and introduces himself as a member of Island Travel - a famous travel agency. He says he he would like to sponsor Raimon. Asuto is surprised because they lost. The man says that the fact they were able to score even one goal against Seishou and the way they fought their hardest to the very end of the match moved him emotionally. There’s more than just winning and losing.
Asuto reflects. They may have lost but in the week before the match they trained all over Inazuma Machi, getting to know the local community.
So Raimon get a sponsor. The kids are so happy they start dancing and hugging each other.
Proverb: I can’t fully remember but I THINK it was something like, you’ll make your own future out of the path you choose to walk??
Closing Theme: All of Inakuni Raimon jump out of a scales in different poses. Then we see everyone’s ‘battle’ suits. Asuto - knight Nosaka - mage Hattori - Robin Hood/ Cupid Okuiri - Some kind of wizard Sasuke - Shirtless gladiator (by the way everyone laughed)
2 Questions from fans
Boy: Is it relevant that in the ending theme all of the players are divided into 3 'sets’ to showcase their battle armor? Hino says it might be.
Girl: She was very excited. First she said she loves Mo. Her question is - what’s up with Kudou’s redesign/ why is he coach for Seishou? Hino said, history has changed!
Voice Actor Talk: The VAs were asked to draw their most memorable scene.
Nojima Hirofumi: Gouenji didn’t appear! He is literally like… So… Gouenji didn’t appear??? Why am I here again?? I was looking forward to seeing him! He does add the episodes were very exciting, with no boring parts.
Kamiya Hiroshi: OVERHEAD PENGUIN and Sasuke. He said he wants to know what the balance of Ares is.
Kimura Ryouhei: Sasuke’s Fire Tornado. Mo comments Sasuke shoots Fire Tornado with his right leg but Gouenji used his left.
Hanae Natsuki: The ending theme where Okuiri jumps out of the scales, he makes a cute pose like 'kyaa’ waving his arms and legs. His VA is surprised because it seemed unlike him.
Murase Ayumu: Hattori riding on Iwato’s back
Terasaki Yuuka: Kogarashi Manor is brand new!
Tomatsu Haruka: The scene where everyone cries together! OR ~shower scene~ she drew a questionable picture of Haizaki showering. The way she drew his legs were awkward and looked like something… else lmao.
Mo comments that the pose Haizaki makes while he showers is very strange (head down, hands against the wall)
Terasaki comments that it’s strange Kidou took his goggles off in the shower of all places. She thinks they would be useful to keep shampoo out of his eyes.
Apparently Hino argued with staff over whether or not the shower scene was necessary. Hino felt it was.
Kamiya comments that he was watching the fans react to that scene, he’s like - I heard you! I saw your reaction to that! I know you liked that!
Hino reveals that since Ares is a parallel world he wants to redo the whole series up to FF International. He says he really wants Inazuma to run for a very long time.
Terasaki asks Hino to please make a new GO. Hino said he wants to. But this not an official statement, more like ‘if possible I’d like to do that’. Personal opinion - if IE becomes very popular I would say there’s a 40/60 chance of a new GO.
Future of Anime Preview:
Two picture were shown that showed future plans for the anime. One was young Hiroto and Tatsuya. It’s implied there will be an episode with them as children (personal speculation - possibly all the Sun Garden as kids??). Second was Haizaki getting very worked up over trying to win a stuffed bear from an arcade game (personal speculation - it’s not actually for him, but the girl in the flashback).
Game Info: It will be released on Switch, PS4, IOS and Android.
The showed gameplay: Inakuni Island, Raimon Chuugakkou, Match vs Seishou, Kidou running and tackling, Sasuke’s Fire Tornado. Quality was very high, like Breath of the Wild.
Mo made a comment that the story mode map looked very big and it seemed it would take ages for the character to run far distances. Hino said they are working on that.
Next Walker: March 10th 8PM
Closing Words (that I remember):
Nojima: He said he can’t wait for Gouenji to appear. Why does Gouenji always keep us waiting?
Terasaki said she’s so happy to stand on the stage and play an Inazuma character again.
Mo said it’s an honor to stand on the same stage as Hino as a foreign Inazuma Eleven fan (Mo is from China).
Ending Live: Ryuusei Boy by a two girl idol group (name??). Then pugcats and King Cream Soda joined them to sing Saikyou de Saigo and Maji de Kansha. The voice actors joined in and the character suits too. Confetti exploded. Fans waved their glow sticks and cheered.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YAMAMOTO CHIE
Hey so http://www.sakana-comic.com/ by Mad Rupert (@mynameismad) is a really fantastic comic strip and I was rereading it tonight and accidentally went temporarily insane. I came out of my bout of psychosis to find I’d written a, I shit you not, two thousand word essay about what’s going on with Chie Yamamoto. Chie is one of the main supporting characters and is interesting and mysterious and so naturally I wrote a heavily cited, vaguely academic, very dumb essay on my theory about what exactly is up with her. I sent it to a friend and they said I should post it to social media to “get the recognition [I] deserve” so, without further ado:
This is my theory about WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YAMAMOTO CHIE
_________________________________________________
PRELIMINARY EVIDENCE
First I want to show that anything at all is in fact going on with one Ms. Chie Yamamoto. I find this to be fairly self-evident upon a reread of the comic but I understand the burden of proof rests upon my shoulders.
I provide five pieces of evidence. The first: Chie's Chapter IX feature (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/chapter-9). Note the phrase "Keeps everybody guessing." The second: Chie's character bio (http://www.sakana-comic.com/cast). She not only "Keeps [people] guessing" but also "...is deeply mysterious, and is never caught off guard." The third: I talked to Mad Rupert at SPX 2017, and she said something weird was going on with Chie. She didn't say what, but she said it was something. I admit the evidence so far has been fairly Word-of-God; if you were a person who embraced Death of the Author strictly, it would not be very convincing. As such, I present the fourth and fifth pieces of evidence: in strip 139 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/139), Chie hesitates for a panel when describing her dog-training job. In the next panel she says, "Companionship, of course!" with a smile, but the sweat drops flying off her face imply she is somehow nervous--perhaps she is lying, or omitting pieces of the truth. In strip 322 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/322) Taro catches Chie at the stall and asks, suspicious, "Why were you behind the register?" to which she replies, grinning and surrounded by sparkles, her speech bubble's tail winding back and forth, "I dropped something." Upon further questioning, she calmly elaborates, "My cellphone fell out of my pocket and slid underneath [the register]." Taro remains suspicious. In the following panels she is delighted by a distracting loud noise coming from the back of the stall and rushes off to check it out. Chie's reaction and the portrayal of said reaction lead me to believe that she is lying here as well.
These pieces of evidence are small by themselves. But their synthesis indicates that something, indeed, is going on with Chie.

THESIS
Sakana, as described by the author, is a sli-li-rom-com. But it is not a slice of life of some innocent, sanitized place. There may not be supervillains or eldritch monsters in the world surrounding the Tsukiji fish market but there is violence, abuse, and organized crime. However, besides a single police officer in strip 169 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/169) and several mentions of "market security" (e.g. http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/286) there is little police presence. Yet... what if it were hiding in plain sight? What if the underground forces of crime and deviance were combated by law enforcement that was equally secretive?
I present the theory that Chie Yamamoto is not merely a dog trainer, but, in fact, an officer of the law. She trains dogs not for mere companionship but to be canine weapons--K9 units to protect and serve at her side.
_________________________________________________
CHARACTERISTICS OF YAMAMOTO CHIE
I should clarify that Japanese names put the surname before the given name. E.g. Shotaro Kaneda, Kageyama Shigeo, etc. So in Japan, Chie's full name would go Yamamoto Chie, whereas in the US you'd say Chie Yamamoto. I'm suddenly realizing that this makes me sound like a huge weeb so I'm gonna stop.
Chie has shown herself to be very resourceful, especially in regards to subterfuge and conflict. That may not by itself show that she is a trained policewoman or government agent, but it does lend support to my theory.
This characteristic does not show up much in the first volume, where she is essentially a background character. But in the second volume, when the audience and Jiro himself get to know her a little better, she shows her hand. The strips 260 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/260) and 262 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/262) serve up some good examples. She sends her friend to distract Yuudai so she can talk to Jiro without being bothered. She couches a social situation in terms of a firefight, and responds to Jiro's "Is this a date or a war??" by treating him as naive for even assuming they were two different things: "Oh, Jiro! You're so cute." Upon being told that Jiro can't talk with her because "Yuudai would kill [him]!" she takes it literally and implies she could take Yuudai in a fight: "Takana? Please, he weighs less than I do!"
If I may be allowed a digression: the first four panels of strip 261 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/261) give vitality to my crusty, seaweed-covered soul.
Anyway! In strip 330 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/330) she calmly, confidently stands up to the very intimidating Taro. When Taro objects to Mori coming along on the second date, he says, "She caused enough trouble last time!" to which she responds, smiling, "And you didn't?" Strips 287 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/287), 288 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/288), and 291 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/291), where Chie encounters Arata, also provide supporting evidence. She gives Arata an evil, evil eye when he tries to manipulate her into badmouthing the shop--clearly recognizing him for what he is and not standing for it. She's not only confident but forceful in her own manipulation, going so far as to threaten to call the manager not on Arata but on the boys in the shop. Finally, in what is possibly the most honest admission that she knows her way around a weapon or two, she responds to Jiro's thanks, "No prob! I'm VERY good at spotting trouble-makers." The capitalized word in my quotation is instead enlarged in the actual text.
I think I've presented fairly well why Chie's behavior does not contradict, and in fact supports, the idea that she is some sort of government agent or policewoman. I will now take a bit of a detour into things going on in the fish market. Be assured it will dovetail nicely with this discussion.
_________________________________________________
CRIME AT THE TSUKIJI FISH MARKET
As I've stated, the fish market where Chie and Jiro work is a hive of scum and villainy. Well, maybe that's going a little far, especially considering it’s a real place and I don’t want to give it a bad name. But, at least in the world of the comic, there's some shady stuff going on. Shigeru brings it up multiple times. In strip 99 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/099), he says to Taro, "I been seein' sum shady lookin' guys round 'ere lately [sic]." Then in strip 214 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/214), he says to Taro, "You ain't noticed all th'thugs snoopin' 'round th'market lately [sic]?" At that point, he's talking about Genji Sakana and how he thinks Genji's been caught up in something bad. And as we found out between those comics, in strip 191 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/191), Genji owes a bunch of money to a very scary man who wants his father's fish stall because "Tsukiji's one of the largest markets in the world! Merch from every corner of the globe going in and out every day... A businessman like [him] could use a hub like that." Not only is organized crime present in the fish market, it is also angling to expand its operations there.
Is this not something that would warrant attention by law enforcement? Surely they would have some awareness of the global nature of the goods flowing through the market. With that awareness comes the need for police presence to catch any illicit goods hidden between all the seafood. Of course, if you're looking to stop crime organized enough to trade illegal goods on a global scale, you can't really nip it in the bud. The bud has long since bloomed. Instead you have to eliminate the high- and mid-level members of the organization from their positions of authority. So it might make sense to install law enforcement covertly rather than overtly. Perhaps it would be best to have the installed individuals bide their time, investigate and survey and gather information so as to make the most extensive case against the criminal organization--or even to find the organization in the first place.
I hope the reader has begun to pick up on what I am suggesting.
_________________________________________________
CHIE'S ROLE
I want to go back to something I presented in preliminary evidence. In strip 322, Taro catches Chie behind the register. He is suspicious but she feigns innocence. I recognize that this could be another instance of her spying on Jiro and Yuudai's conversations, like the flashback in strip 461 (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/461). But I also think it's possible that the antics of Jiro and Yuudai are not the only thing she's keeping an eye on. I think she knows that some sketchy guys have been hanging around Ren Sakana's sushi stall. I think in her role as an agent of peace and justice she has decided to check out what's going on at the register, just ever so briefly, to make sure nothing is obviously shady.
I should elaborate more on exactly what I believe Chie does and her relationship to the other characters. I especially want to emphasize this: Chie is not a sociopath, and her job and relationships at the market are not purely utilitarian. She has worked at the market for two years (http://www.sakana-comic.com/comic/124). I'm not sure on the exact timeline of Chie's career, whether (in the world of this theory) she became involved with law enforcement before or after she started working at the market, or where she is in the organizational structure--whether she's with the police or some national investigative group like the United States's FBI. I don't think she's very senior in any organization, which would explain why she's working two jobs and spending her time investigating a fish market rather than something more interesting and/or easy. But I also think (and know, because I talked to Mad Rupert about this, too) that she genuinely likes Jiro and is invested in her relationships with Sango, Yuudai, etc. She spends her days selling seafood, working the register, talking with her friends and boyfriend, and occasionally making notes of goings-on in the market. Yes, I believe she is keeping things hidden, but only because it is required of her. She doesn't necessarily feel comfortable doing so.
I believe there is also a degree of discomfort in her mind about dating Jiro, knowing she may end up contributing to the arrest of people close to him. If anything, that angle represents the biggest flaw in my theory: Chie hasn't shown more hesitance about dating Jiro. Maybe she was behind the register merely because she was spying on Jiro and Yuudai, and she isn't aware of any criminal activity particular to the Sakanas. Maybe she likes Jiro enough to date him despite how he or someone he knows might be implicated, and she's checking the register not out of duty or suspicion, but out of desperate hope that everything is on the up-and-up and she won't have to do anything untoward to anyone in Jiro's circle. Maybe she's actually on the opposite side of the cops/robbers divide and she's either involved with the people harrassing Genji or a different group of criminals, neither of whom would be as concerned about playing favorites as law enforcement would be. I dunno! I think that given Chie's personality and genuine good intentions for the wellbeing of people around her, it's more likely that she would be on the side of law enforcement. But at this point I'm blathering.
__________________________________________________
CONCLUSION
I believe Chie Yamamoto is secretly a K9 trainer and undercover cop and that she uses her access to the Tsukiji Fish Market to gather evidence against a criminal organization attempting to use the market to trade illegal goods on a global scale. I believe the relationships she forms at the market, including her budding romance with Jiro, are real, but I believe she is keeping secrets. I believe she knows more than she lets on about deescalation, manipulation, subterfuge, and conflict of all sorts--because she was educated about those things at the academy. I believe Chie can fight and knows her way around knives, batons, guns, her own fists, etc.
And really that's why I feel this theory is important. It suggests a future moment when Chie is confronted by one of Nishimura's goons and just takes them DOWN. Like, she sweeps the leg, pulls a gun out of her jeans, flashes a badge, and tells them they have the right to remain silent.
And then, like, right after, Chie and Jiro KISS and it's amazing and then Taisei and Yuudai ALSO KISS and everyone kisses someone else and it's great.

Post Concert Thoughts And My Brother Becomes A FanBoy
I’ve been lucky enough to attend not only a SHINee concert but also Jonghyun’s solo concert and now the very talented maknae’s. What all three of those concerts have in common is the amazing talented people that make us get up and buy tickets at the speed of light. BUT never before has a stage presence hit me like that of Taemin’s. His presence overwhelms you, draws you in and captivates you to watch every single move of his body as if though compelled to do so. It doesn’t matter if it’s the fast pace dancing of Danger and Tiger or the sweet movements of Flame of Love, he captures your attention and there’s no looking away.
I dragged my brother along with me for the concert and one of the first things he said when Taemin started dancing was; “Holy Shit he dances like Michael. It’s the korean Michael Jackson!”
My brother hadn’t been happy to accompany me to the concert but here we are back in our hotel room and he’s currently decked out in the Taemin merch he previously refused to wear and is furiously downloading Taemin’s songs as I type. That and I can’t help but notice that he’s basically binge watching every live performance of Taemin ever and commenting on his dance moves with a look of awe.
Seeing my brother fanboy like this makes me smile so hard because he’s just more proof of what Taemin does to people with his talent. And I do agree. Taemin IS Korea’s Michael Jackson and I’m not the only one who thinks so either. Jimin’s episode on King of Masked Singers just proves what other artists and celebs think of Taemin, how they hold him in high regards.
Explaining to my brother that Taemin once hardly had any lines in SHINee songs and was teased for being tone deaf was even more amazing because he flat out called me a liar and said; “There’s no way. That guy was born to perform.”
Taemin was born to perform and his fanclub president, Jonghyun, even said it himself in 4 Things. He had never believed it when people said they were born to perform until he saw Taemin.
Flying over to Japan for the concert from South Africa, as I have done for every concert, was tiring but very worth it. From the moment the VCR started playing and those pictures of Taemin started to flow, I was at the edge of my seat and it finally hit me that I was about to witness Taemin’s very first solo concert with my own eyes. Taemin. the very person that captured my attention and made me love KPOP.
Taemin has never been one to disappoint because we all know how much of a perfectionist he is when it comes to performing and you you definitely saw that aspect shine. He danced with every fiber in his body and showed everyone why we call him the Dancing King. I was scared that he might collapse from the intensity of his dancing but Taemin proved once again that he never tires of putting on a good show.
The slower version of Press Your Number nearly killed me and only added to the ambiance of the entire concert. There were so many moments that just had as all freezing and gaping at him at him in awe, wondering just how in hell a person so perfect can exist.
Which brings us right to Door. This is an artistic masterpiece and I’d be highly disappointed if Taemin doesn’t perform it again in the nearby future (hopefully at the MAMA’s with lots of fancams of the rest of SHINee and groups like EXO/Kai and BTS/Jimin reacting to it). I dare anyone to say this performance wasn’t mesmerizing because if that’s your view, then you can’t seem to comprehend true beauty.
I marveled at at Taemin’s voice the entire concert. Those incredible high notes and the sweet tone of his voice has you wondering how anyone could have ever called him tone deaf. His technique had improved so much from SHINee’s debut and it’s no wonder that he’s at the level he is now.
Flame of Love was just as amazing as the brief glimpses of it we got in the MV and it really captured that poetic essence that really best suits Taemin. The unattainable image really does suit him because to us he, and Jonghyun, he has always been a faerie prince. My brother even asked me if it was okay if his heart rate suddenly sped up whenever Taemin gave that sensual look he’s so known for while performing.
The difference between the goofy Taemin with the awkward jokes that makes us squeal at his cuteness and the Taemin that performs is truly worlds apart. It’s hard to believe that they are one and the same person.
All I can say is that he really is the King of Kpop. We Shawols and Taemints are really blessed to have wacthed this talented Maknae’s road to the talent he is today.
Taemin spoke of finding a part of himself during the Press It album and I think it’s safe to say he found his missing puzzle piece during his journey with Flame of Love. He’s set the bar so high for any future concerts but if there is anyone that can top this concert, we all know its Taemin itself.
In Taemin’s own words; “This is the start of Taemin the solo artist.”

Video: Donald Trump Junior In Hot Water As Fukushima Spills Into The Pacific Ocean
We Are Change
Welcome back you hippies to the WeAreChange weekly shows where we go over all of the most important stories that you should know, of course from my perspective.
youtube
I have not done these in awhile as I have been traveling in Europe covering stories. Recently I was in Belfast, Ireland covering “The Twelfth Orange Celebrations,” where a lot of people got drunk and set a bunch of bonfires, not a big surprise there. Luckily there were no major conflicts, and everything remained peaceful.
I then headed to Paris, France where I did a live stream of protests against Emmanuel Macron the French president and Donald Trump on Bastille Day. A major face off occurred between protesters and riot police, the situation escalated when Black Bloc tactics were used, and Antifa member stormed the police line. The police then retreated and came back with reinforcements.
It was fascinating to note that many people are disenfranchised with the newly elected president, who is trying to limit labor laws, and states that he wants to deport illegal immigrants.
The biggest story this week in the United States is the story that Donald Trump Jr. was allegedly colluding with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 presidential election. Supposedly this lawyer had damaging information on Hillary Clinton. This story broke when the New York Times claimed to have obtained emails.
Now the Times does not have the best record when it comes to Russian and Trump collusion, which makes people dismissive of the entire story based on their previous track record. However, I am seeing a lot of people take this story seriously, particularly with those that are moderate. This is due to the contributing factors which include the fact that Trump’s inner circle may have been willing to get intelligence they knew was part of a foreign effort to meddle in the election.
There still is no proof that Russians hacked Hillary Clintons or DNC emails, or even voting machines. What do you make of these new revelations, will this go anywhere or is it just a big distraction?
I always saw this story as a huge distraction, while everyone was obsessing over these allegations, people are missing all of the collusion between corporations and government. This collusion has been happening for a very long time, billionaires and organizations have been able to buy and influence laws in the United States, this applies to the Trump administration just like previous administrations.
Trump has close ties to military contractors, bankers like JP Morgan, Chase and Goldman Sachs. I think the evidence is quite clear, just look at the whats happening with health care and the continued spending of billions on the F-35 fighter plane, currently being built by Lockheed Martin.
Now I believe the whole health care system is a giant scam, the scams around the pharmaceutical industry, the insurance companies scams, and the unnecessary surgeries pushed on patients. Our medical system is broke. I don’t want to see further money taken from people to finance a system that is broken, one that doesn’t cure people of illnesses but works towards making a profit from them in most cases. You see that very clearly where the priorities of the United States are when they have endless money for the war machines but not enough to take care of their people.
While that’s happening, we have a new report from Human Rights Watch; the group provides evidence of white phosphorus weapon use inside Syria and Iraq by the United States. A weapon that has been banned in the international community, but which is still being used, and sold to Saudi Arabia by the America.

While the United States is violating international laws, Donald Trump still has the gall to threaten an all-out war with Syria if they allegedly use chemical weapons at some point in the future. This is very hypocritical since there is no need for these wars to even happen in the first place. There are grave geopolitical ramifications, and of course, they cause mass human suffering.
There is this video that I want to highlight, which is a confession from a U.S. drone operator, that tells of his experience and how “He felt like a sociopath.”
It’s not just the psychological traumas that U.S. soldiers have to go through, but some have had chemical weapons tested on them.
We are now discovering that the Pentagon tested nerve agents like sarin, VX, and bacteria on upwards of 6000 military personnel in experiments called Project 112. This took place during the Vietnam War in 1962 and 1974. These tests would potentially result in lifelong debilitation, serious health issues, long-term central nervous system failure, and even death. Now limited details about this program have just come out from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The full particulars of this program, how it operated, how many were killed, is still classified. Even though this happened fifty years ago, the Pentagon still wants to keep this information away from you.
This shows just how serious this most likely is.
In other, oh crap, we are probably getting poisoned news, we are getting the story that Japan is planning to dump more radioactive water from Fukushima into the Pacific ocean.
Now having personally been to Fukushima, and seen first hand how insane, incompetent and derelict the Japanese government is, there is a lot to worry about here. Consider how they try to hide any misdoings, and they conceal facts about how dangerous the situation is. Ultimately they are putting everyone at risk due to dumbass societal ideologies. So, I won’t be eating Sushi anytime soon.
Now across the sea from Japan, we have China that for some reason has decided to deploy troops to the Horn of Africa, for its first overseas military base.
Now they say they are doing this for peacekeeping and humanitarian aid in Africa and West Asia. However, geopolitically the United States is going to see this as an act of aggression. Just like how China recently told Japan to “Get used to our warplanes” as they fly over Japanese territory. China continues to increase their military strength.
Now the United States can’t be outdone here, so for some reason, we are sending 500 troops to Kosovo.
It doesn’t stop there as Donald Trump wants the unilateral legal authority to build new bases in Iraq and Syria, a sign that the conflict in Syria will likely end up not unlike Afghanistan where we still have troops present, sixteen years later.
There is still is not much freedom or democracy in that region. Of course, that’s due in large part to the covert support of radical Islamic terrorists by the United States which goes unmentioned in the mainstream media. However, we can show you on YouTube all the things that they fail to mention, right, well sorry no, we can’t.
YouTube just censored a video uploaded by Partisan Girl showing U.S. air-dropping weapons onto ISIS positions.
It was flagged and removed, not for nudity or crude language but for supposedly violating the platform’s “Community Guidelines.” We reported on this video months ago when it initially took place, and it’s an essential video to get an understanding of whats happening in the Middle East.
However, they don’t want you to see it.
While YouTube takes down these videos, they still leave up the disturbing ones that are borderline pedophilia, then take days to parental lock including one that was explaining masturbation to young children.
Now in other degenerate amateur posting video hosting sites, we have CNN, which according to many experts hired a top Al-Qaeda propagandist for a documentary and then tried to cover it up.
This underground reporter by the name of Bilal Abdul Kareem, of On the Ground News, who many have alleged is involved with the al-Nusra front; he was hired by CNN to shoot a documentary. After the documentary was made and received some awards, CNN deliberately tried to cover their tracks by hiding the fact that Abdul Kareem was the one that shot the video.
Now in uplifting, happy news, the city of Varnell, Georgia decided to fire the entire police department, no chaos ensued, everything remained fine, hopefully, gives you some hope in humanity.
Addendum: Unfortunately, we just found a story which is not in today’s video that states the City Manager has just signed a veto, rehiring the police department. On behalf of all of us at WeAreChange, we would like to apologize for providing you with false hope.
Now I hope you guys enjoyed today’s video, if you did, please support us on Patreon.com/wearechange, it is thru you that this independent media operation works.
Please stay tuned we’re going to have more on-the-ground reporting from here in Europe, as that happens, please keep in touch with me. Let me know what stories you want to see covered, what people you want to see interviewed, what subjects you would like to see investigated. Love you guys and thank you so much.
