What do you think about people shipping Alina and Nikolai? Also how do you feel about them implementing The Zoya romance going forward? Even though I do like their overall relationship between Nikolai and Alina I'm worried that they'll throw away the Nikolai and Zoya potential from the books in season 3 for Alina and Nikolai. For the 3rd season I wouldn't mind if they explored his feelings for Alina but I think maybe he could get eventually friendzoned by her because let's be honest Alina has too many boy problems to deal with another. And maybe whilst Alina is dealing with her problem, becoming darker and more corrupted, Nikolai deals with his on his own(becoming a shadow monster)where Zoya finds out and helps. And maybe over time they get closer. That's kind of what I'm hoping for season 3 regarding the introduction to the relationship. I wouldn't mind if Nikolai is hung up on Alina whilst Zoya falls for him and he remains oblivious despite the sexual tension but it would be cool if they decide to make them a main duo for season 3 constantly flirting with each other neither one ever making a move. Nevertheless, there is so much potential and I hope they don't throw it away because Nikolai and Alina have 'great chemistry' as some people say. I wouldn't completely mind if the writers gave them a little romance in the beginning but Zoya is endgame for me.

I've always been a ship and let ship person so I don't mind people shipping Alina and Nikolai, I did think they had really good chemistry in season 2 and so can understand why people may be drawn to the ship especially if they are show only watchers. I myself really enjoyed Alina and Nikolai's dynamic, however I don't think of them as a long term/ end game relationship. I will admit that I don't know much about Zoya and Nikolai's relationship as I haven't read the duology, only summaries of the books, but I could see them being very compatible and having quite an interesting, flirty dynamic.

I know alot of people are worried with season 2 ending with Alina still engaged to Nikolai and standing beside him at his coronation, that means they are going to take Zoya's storyline in the duology and give it to Alina. But rest assured it doesn't look like they are doing that at all this is what Eric (the showrunner) said about season 3:

The books also put Zoya front and center, and Heisserer heaped praise on Dasgupta: "I hope she's ready for it because she'll be a pillar of that storyline."

So it looks like they will be bringing Zoya's character front and centre and she'll still play an important role in the storyline, I think they just really wanted to keep Jessie and Alina so they had her keep her powers. It also makes sense within the narrative that she is still currently engaged to Nikolai as it would seem random if after saying they are going to marry to unite otkazat'sya and grisha they then suddenly decide to call it off without a reason. Alina's corruption arc would create that reason for that engagment to be called off in a way that makes sense with the narrative. Because even if they have her corruption arc and then pull her back from it, her reputation in Ravka as this pure Saint of Light will be ruined and so that political advantage to the marriage will be gone. That would then open the way for Zoya and Nikolai as Zoya is also a powerful grisha but one that wasn't corrupted at any point.

I could definitely see season 3 playing out the way you described with Nikolai at first having some romantic feelings towards Alina but her corruption arc means that a distance grows between them and this kind of breaks Nikolai heart watching Alina slowly going further to the dark side, but that also meaning that she is not really there for him when it comes to dealing with nichevo'ya that has infected him. I could see Zoya then stepping in to help Nikolai and that leading to them getting closer and developing romantic feelings for each other, it could have the potential to be very flirty, because I do think they both have very flirty personalities, but also very angsty because they are having these feelings for each other but he is still technically engaged to someone else, I predict drama.

But I also think there is a hint to Zoya being the one to help and support Nikolai in the season finale, when Zoya and Genya come to help Alina get ready for the coronation, as Nikolai leaves the room Zoya checks him out and then tells Alina and Genya that 'that one's a mess, I could fix him.' Also another thing she says that could be a hint at a potential romance between Nikolai and Zoya is when Alina says she is going to get rid of the coloured Kefta's Zoya complains saying she looks good in blue, which interestingly enough is the colour of the Lantsov Royals, its why Alina is wearing the blue dress to the coronation. So that too could be a hint.

I will say that personally I would love to see them develop a romance between Nikolai and Zoya as I said I think they could mesh well together, I think they would have really great chemistry so if they do decide to explore the relationship in season 3, which I strongly suspect they will, I would absolutely be down for that.

Love, Victor: Season 3 trailer 👀

Do not read ahead if you have not seen the trailer yet

-So they straight out gave us a major spoiler, without any warning, by telling us that Victor goes to Benji's house after the wedding debacle. Tbh this kinda annoyed me because I was looking forward to finding out about this major cliffhanger while actually watching the season opener but they chose to spoil it within the 1st ten seconds of the trailer 😵‍💫 Say what you want, but there were ways to edit the trailer without spilling that information, but production blatantly chose chaos.

-I was fully expecting the love triangle aspect, but now they want to throw at Victor a third love interest, when no one asked for this 👀 But if this is just a one time thing, than cool. Just don't drag it out and try to get us emotionally invested in this new character.

Also, are there no teen actors in Hollywood? Cuz this new guy is almost 30 year's old (IRL) playing a high schooler. I'm sure it can't be that hard to cast an actor who's in their teens.

I pray to all the TV gawds that before Victor & Benji fully break up, that they have real closure. That they have a good conversation and air things out. Because one of the biggest issues in this ship is their lack of open, honest communication. Hopefully they come to a sound understanding.

-As for Rahim, I'm assuming he's getting friendzoned and he seems to be going along with it. I wonder if this is a situation where Rahim is choosing be a friend rather than nothing at all to Victor 🤔 Let's see how this plays out moving forward, cuz it's clear that there are feelings there, probably more from Rahims end; so this might result in him getting his heart further broken.

-And it also looks like Victor is going to jump into the dating app world. So all you Vengi & Vahim shippers get ready for a messy season, cuz it looks like the writers are going to put y'all through it. And tbh if these ships become too unbelievably convoluted, I'd rather see Victor drop all the nonsense and choose himself at the end!

THIS right here is a scene I'm very much looking forward to seeing. I have a strong feeling Benji is going to over power the conversation and not really listen to what Rahim has to say. But tbh, they were never really friends 🤷

🗣 WRITERS I beg of you, please do not screw up the new ships. As much as I enjoyed most of Felix and Lakes relationship, I'm loving the direction you've taken with Felix x Pilar & Lake x Lucy. Don't fumble it!

As for Mia, I love her so much and I hope she has finds resolution with her parents. I want all the best for her. I'm so here for her and Andew being end game 🙌🏾

The more that we stay divided then the more we are not united. Slavery started in 1619 and here, we are in 2021 and getting ready to enter 2022. I have to be brutally honest, we gotta be the change we seek and even though we had the Willie Lynch doctrine beat into us, only we can change and reject the programming. And remember, we didn’t make the Willie Lynch doctrine, only a lot of us are still following it. We are descendants of African Kings and Queens, we are descendants of Moors who unbeknownst to many ruled America before George Washington and the presidents we learned in school and Europe. We were taught “HIS-Story”, not “OUR-Story”. They did say history is spoken by the victors, did they not but I guess you didn’t hear it though.

A lot of Black women talk about how it's hard to find good men, there’s a double standard when men get tired of the bad treatment and decide to date another woman outside the race but they can do it no problem. There are good men but they are placed in the friendzone, they are working a job and also going to school or taking online classes, they may be working and also working on their own business outside of work and hustling. These are not the same brothas on the streets slinging like Kanan in Power or pimpin or in jail or having kids with women and not being fathers to their children. They are working and trying their hardest to make it happen.

I know a lot of women want love and sex but there has to be a medium. We have to get out here and work and make things happen. Current economic conditions in the world require us to work more than one job and have more than one source of income. It is not so much the fact that we do not want to love you but we have to make money and make our dreams happen. I’m not saying you have to make your dreams my dreams, by all means baby girl, have your own dreams and let’s meet in the middle like Voltron and combine, that’s all I’m saying.

I get that’s generation ME and if it’s not about what you’re doing then you’re not interested but that’s wherein the problem lies. The good Black men may not be out cheating, they may be hitting the books, on this laptop, PC or iPad or etc, may be on Zoom and conference calls and etc. I do believe everything is possible with time management and support. And support is not about saying I’m leaving you or I’m moving out the way for you to do what you do. NO, it’s not!

When that good man goes cold and gets quiet and then becomes selfish then it’s wrong or if he gets tired of the BS and leaves and wants to go back outside the race then that’s not right either. Some say like Scarface, first you get the power, then you get the respect and then you get the women. WIth power being money, when we go to work, remember we are trading time for money. Now working together as a power couple, we can work but also we can buy stocks, crypto, NFTs, and do everything and anything else to leverage money.

I want to feel like my win is your win. Your win is our win. We are building an empire like Dr Omai Kofi, check her out on Facebook, she’s wonderful. We are not only building an empire for ourselves as I’m your King and you are my Queen but we are also building this for our children and their children and generations to come. As my friend, Keith Robinson of KR BrandsIt always says, “WE HAVE TO BE THE CHANGE WE SEEK”.

For way too long, we have let the powers that be make and control the narrative and keep us divided with the Willie Lynch doctrine and for over 400-500 years, we have not smartened up and broke out of this mentality. It’s only been successful programming like the Matrix because we kept it up but we could easily end it like that.

And I felt compelled to step up and write about this. Even with myself, a lot of times I have slept and downplayed and didn’t realize my greatness and talents. A/N: Had to dry my nails man. So, I wrote as they dried.

Sirius loved plot twists. His interest was more invested in you now yet he couldn’t quite figure out how he can approach you without his friends knowing. He couldn’t figure why he wanted to keep you as his little secret but you were the one thing he wanted to keep as his own.

“November 3rd is National Sandwich Day.” you heard him speak behind you, his steps quickly following behind you.

“Your point.” you slowed down your pace, walking beside you.

“It’s the same day as my birthday.” he grinned, jumping in front of you and shooting you stars with his eyes.

“That’s in three days.”

“Indeed.”

“Your point?” you brushed past him as he continued to lean over.

He grit his teeth and shut his eyes, cursing in his head as he turned around and followed you. “Would you like to celebrate?”

“Sandwich day?”

“My birthday.” he chuckled, stopping you with his hands on your shoulders.

Shocked by his touch, you glanced down on his hands, your shoulders, as something out of line. With only your eyes, you had told him to remove them.

“You’re especially quick for a girl that’s smaller than me.”

“I still don’t see your point, Sirius.”

“Are you dense?”

“Not really but I’d like you to phrase the question already so I can say no and get to Transfiguration already. I’m already late.”

Surprised by your answer, he took his time contemplating what to say. He licked his lips and leaned back. “You’re a direct little birdie, aren’t you?”

“I bite too.”

He chuckled. “I’m not surprised- how about just as friends? Not a date, friends?” he opened his arms, grin stretching further his cheeks.

“You’d rather spend your birthday with me than with your friends?” you asked with a suspicious look in your eye.

“No.” he tried to play it off cooly. Why do you make him feel so awkward around you. He’s usually so smooth around girls yet you just turn it all around. “But.. uhm...”

“Sirius.” you smiled, putting your hand on his shoulder and causing him to tense at your touch, almost holding his breath as he could hear his heart beat faster and faster in his chest. “Your friends are more important to you than me, let’s be frank. Why would you ever-”

“I don’t know. I can spend morning with them and afternoon and-”

“Me as an addition. Why?”

“Why what?”

“Why are you all of a sudden so keen on taking me out? Is it some sort of bet because let’s be honest, you don’t fancy me.”

“You don’t know that. I might find you as the love of my life. You don’t know what I feel.” he started to charm, causing you to laugh.

“Oh, yeah. What do you feel? Butterflies? Dazed from my eyes?” you batted your eyelashes and for a moment he felt himself wanting to kiss each one of them. “Come on, Sirius-” you pushed his shoulder. “Don’t tease me.”

He looked down on his shoulder and faked a pout. “Did you just... friendzone me?”

“Reminder to keep those butterflies away.” you winked.

“Now who’s teasing?” he snorted and you lifted one of your eyebrow, your smirk following behind.

“Why? Can’t take it?” you brushed past him as he took a hold of your arm, stopping you.

“You’re an extremely big flirt for somebody who has never had a boyfriend before and denies to go on a date with one.” he gave you a devilish look, the one that only made your stomach turn.

Yet, determined, you pulled your hand away and crossed your arms over your chest, swaying your legs to him, one foot in front of the other. “Can’t a girl flirt?” you stepped on your tip toes, observing his long nos; long bridge, round tip, small nostrills, his cheeks were defined, jawline present, eyelashes black and long, eyes diverting all attention from the black locks and his pale skin into its stormy colour. You watched him seductively yet you kept your emotions and your heart away, as far as possible.

Unable to touch you, his forehead sweating a bit, along with his palms, he found himself speechless from your fixed, powerful gaze. He couldn’t help himself but to spread a smile. “Are you about to kiss me?” he started to goad a bit, causing you to roll your eyes and fall back on your heels, pushing yourself away from him.

“I said I don’t like you that way, Sirius Black. I meant it.” you shrugged, walking backwards.

“Who are you lying to? Me or you?”

“To McGonagall. I’m telling you’re the one that pulled a colashoo hex on me, causing me to be late.”

“So, there’s the Slytherin.” he let out a laugh.

“Got to keep up with the reputation.” you sent him a wink and ran to class, disappearing again in front of the boy.

He kept smiling foolishly at himself. You have to fancy him. You just have to. You wouldn’t flirted the way you did if you didn’t like him even a little bit, would you?

Though he had done it to many girls himself... you were a mirror reflection of him, so he had to be sure. He can’t be pompous about this. Not with you. Not with his little secret.

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get? Sabriel. I know it's easy to avoid in the fandom nowadays, but there's still 15k+ stories out there; it's still the second favourite Sam ship in terms of sheer volume of works, and it's the one big ship that I do not understand and that gets me riled up. Thankfully, I don't have to think about it much anymore. To be completely honest, I don't get any Gabriel shipping. I think he's one of the least interesting characters in SPN, but other pairings don't confuse me half as much. I used to think it was only a Destiel side-pairing, but I know people who ship it in earnest, and more power to them. I also don't really get post-season 15 Saileen. 2. Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP? I'm not sure if Wincest fits, because BroTP sounds too healthy for the way I see them. I'm very interested in them and their canonically non-sexual fucked up relationship, and while I don't think a sexual relationship is a stretch, I think in most cases (eg in most fan fictions) it makes the relationship less interesting and almost less weird to me. People 'understand' incest, they (or at least some) understand power imbalances and crossing sexual taboos - but such a strong non-sexual quasi romantic relationship between siblings? It's so strange and sinister, and intense and opque, and the abusive and unhealthy nature of it kind of gets hazy. If people around Sam and Dean thought they were sleeping together, most of them would find it disturbing, but without this aspect, their codependence becomes more palatable - maybe it's weird to some but definitely enviable too. (I'm not sure if maybe it would help someone recognize Dean's abusive tendencies towards Sam more. I would like to think so, but realistically I'm not sure.) I really like unrequited Destiel better than full-on Destiel, with some very hard friendzoning, so I guess that would be BroTP in some way.

Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen… I already answered this here, and said I would have let Dean kill Sam when he had the mark of cain, but another maybe more controversial thing: I would have had teen Amara and Dean kiss, to drive the absolute insanity of the situation home. I guess from a production standpoint/the actors feelings, it wouldn't have been a good idea but I don't think you would have needed to show it to make it really clear. I just hate when the show decides to tell really messed up stories but then pulls back in the last instance. I think sometimes when it comes to more reasonable disagreements in fandoms, the 'we're going to tell a story but not fully so it's still deniable' element is a culprit.

AN : Hi ! How are you? In this chapter, you go on a date with Jake. Well it’s not really a date... Unless... The end is near friends, few more chapters now and I’ll wrap it up! Chapitre 15 : What's on your mind ?

My New Year's resolution about getting over my crush on Jake was a total fiasco so far. Our kiss kept replaying on my mind, at all times. The soft touch of his delicate lips against mine, the caress of his hair on my cheeks, his calloused fingertips slithering down my neck... The butterflies were unstoppable now, and my face was so used to redden that people just assumed it was my new skintone. Jake and I didn't cross paths since that night. Didn't text either. Only a few days had passed since Josh's party though, so it wasn't like we were avoiding each other. Although it became clear on Monday that what should've just been a little smooch between friends had made us really awkward around each other.

Since the Mina Situation now belonged in the past, Josh and Mandy were doing everything in their power to bring Jake and I closer. And of course sitting together during lectures was now an obvious move. Not the most discreet one, if I may had, given that Josh had sent his brother packing when he asked two weeks ago. Jake now looked positively lost, but couldn't refuse, so Mandy and I took a seat between the Kiszkas, already witnessing the menacing glare the teacher was giving us, probably not surprised in the slightest by the peculiar sandwich the lot of us formed in front of her. Mandy and Josh were playing Draw and Guess, purposefully leaving me and Jake out of it probably so we could talk. And if in the past month I had fantasies about the exact moment where I'll be sitting next to him, now that I was, all the pros and cons were slowing surfacing the ocean of my mind, like a beautiful blue sea at first glance who'd turn out to be full of plastic garbage. His mere presence was making me giddy and jittery. His smell of pine, incense and soap filled my lungs, his knee kept brushing mine, and I couldn't look at his face like I used to, just his hand making the pen dance on his sheet. I hadn't noticed I was vigorously tapping mine on the table until his warm hand covered mine, making the motion stop. Slowly, we exchanged a glance.

- Sorry, I murmured.

Jake's eyes seemed to observe mine a moment before going South and settling on my lips. Quickly, as if realizing what he was doing, the boy turned away, withdrawing his hand and resting his cheek on his other one.

- S'alright...

During the two hours, he looked rather bummed, there was no way to phrase it differently. His face showed a mix of thoughtful and troubled, and I was by now used to him being mentally elsewhere but at some point a ball of paper had landed on his forehead and Josh had to call him four times to get it back before he finally shook out of it. Man, I was starting to get concerned. Maybe he wasn't as over his breakup as he had pretended to be... I couldn't help feeling a bit guilty. It had not been a good idea to kiss each other under the mistletoe, Jake had personal stuff to sort out, and the same went for me. We both should've known better but the moment had been perfect... We'd been laughing, exchanging gifts, slowly dancing under the dim light... Anybody could've felt the romantic tension, and I was certain we both saw it in each other's gaze that night. Nothing mattered but us and this moment. But at what price, I thought bitterly. We couldn't undo the kiss we shared even with significant efforts, and I had no wish to do so. Now that I had a taste of his lips, I was becoming greedy. Like every other human in existence, my instincts were screaming they wanted more. Of that, of everything that was him. Like Janet in the Rocky Horror, I wanted him to touch me. Thoughts I shouldn't have about a friend, but the voice that took over my conscience since that night kept telling me nothing was new. I always had romantic feelings and fantasies about Jake. And while sometimes it bugged me to be a dishonnest friend, most of the time I told myself my mind was my own property, free of any laws except mine. But me arboring those kind of feelings towards Jake didn't mean I had the right to be a shitty friend either. So when we reached the end of the week and Jake's mood didn't improve at all, I took the matter into my own hands.

« Are you free this weekend ? »

Pacing in the kitchen, tugging at my thumb's fingernail with my teeth, my eyes wouldn't leave my phone, waiting for the moment it'll finally buzz. Mandy came into the kitchen to pour herself a coffee.

- Oh, don't tell me !, she exclaimed with false excitement. Rehearsing for The Shining ? You'd be a great Jack Torrance.

- Fuck you dude I'm stressed out !

A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips, but seeing as I was serious, Mandy paused, delicately putting her mug on the kitchen table.

- Oh my God. You asked him out.

- It's not a date-

- Bullshit, dude, you finally asked Jake on a date, I can't believe it.

- Jesus Christ..., I muttered under my breath.

Hand on my face, pinching the bridge of my nose, I tried to remain calm. She wouldn't believe me and she was already sitting and babbling about how it took me so long but I finally made the first move and so on...

- I usually ask someone on a date like, three days after we met, my roommie explained while sipping her coffee.

- 3 DAYS but you don't even know them !

- But if you wait longer you're in the friendzone, doll.

It was my time to take a seat. That never crossed my mind before. Why had I never consider it ? Am I dumb ? Will he start calling me bro and fist bump me on the shoulder ? Oh no.

- Do you think I'm in the friendzone ?, I hurriedly whispered.

Mandy loudly snorted into her mug, splashing some coffee on her cheeks.

- After that kiss ? No way.

- What do you m-

That was the exact moment my phone chose to vibrate, making the wood table tremble under it, and myself drop the subject to grab it. It was Jake. Mandy saw it in my eyes and couldn't hide her smile. But now that his name was appearing on the screen, I suddenly got scared of rejection. I knew he wouldn't be harsh nor rude with me, probably saying something like « Sorry I have something to do. Next time ? », sending me packing in the nicest way possible. But when being rejected, even like that, I couldn't help thinking it was just the tip of the iceberg and people weren't being honest with me. Maybe they were lying, they didn't want to hang out with me. You never know. And if this text was about not being able to go out then... I'd never know either.

- For God's sake would you stop overthinking and read the damn text.

« I'm free right now, what do you have in mind ? »

Jake always had that way with words that made my cheeks instantly color. Either he was being cheeky, or I was the dirty minded one. As I was typing an answer, I remembered what Mandy had told me the other day, and tapped the backspace key. Be bold.

« Not telling you. Bring a coat and your wallet, we're going to town. »

I had a precise idea of where I wanted to take him, convinced it will improve his mood or at least make him think about something else.

The grey sky devoid of all sunshine was just a big cloud hovering above our heads, giving the streets a gloomy vibe. Not exactly what I had planned for my first « date » with Jake, but at least he was here with me. When he texted me he was downstairs, I saw him through the window standing in front of the door, cigarette in hand, looking at his phone with the other, waiting for a reply. A sheepish smile spread on my face as I took my phone out of my pocket. It was amusing to watch his reaction to my message, all smiles and chuckles as he was texting me to hurry up before he starts freezing to death.

- C'mon, said Jake while we were sitting in the cab. At least give me a clue.

- Well, let me see... No.

Jake let his back dramatically fall on the leather seat, raising his hands in disbelief.

- If we're going shopping then you should've ask Josh to join us because-

- No !, I panicked when I thought I saw his hand reach his phone. No, just us today. You said you missed spending time together.

My voice was a whisper while I kept my eyes on the streets we were passing by, too embarrassed to meet his gaze. The window's reflection, however, betrayed me, showing me Jake's figure nod slightly, as if he understood. He wouldn't have to wait much longer anyway because the cab was pulling over already, telling me the course's price. Jake's impatient self didn't let me any chance to react however, paying for us and getting out of the car in an instant, while I sat there with my wallet in hand asking myself what had just happened. The moment I stepped out the freezing air hugging me tightly made me regret not bringing gloves, or a scarf, or even a beanie. I wanted to punch myself for being an airhead but I sucked it in because we couldn't go back now, and complaining was out of the question. This day was about Jake, not me. Letting my sleeves cover my hands as much as they could, we started walking, the long haired boy by my side becoming more and more confused as time passed.

- Oh now I know, he said as the first cabins were in sight.

As we slowly approached, fragrances emanating the small Christmas market in front of us came caressing our nostrils, filling our lungs with savoury scents such as cinnamon and sugar. A few people were there, whether with their significant other or their family, all looking as joyous as the merchants.

- It's probably not as big as it is in your hometown, but it's still decent.

Jake called my name, making me stop on my tracks to turn my head at him.

- It's perfect, he reassured me.

We shared a smile, entering the miniature city were wooden cabins were neatly aligned next to each other and facing themselves, selling anything from homemade winter food to handcrafted toys and jewelry. Even if Christmas was over already, the market was a bit of an event for passerbys, whether they were inhabitants or foreign tourists. It looked charming, didn't seem like it cost the city a lot, and it made profit, so win-win situation in every way, which was the reason why they kept it going for a little bit longer than needed. And I understood why when I saw Jake's face, completely in awe with every thing he noticed, even though he was the one who was used to it. It was a cute sight, he kept calling my name every once in a while to excitedly show me home decoration he never saw before, or miniature handcrafted guitar replicas resting in their tiny stands, telling me which one was Hendrix's and which one was Clapton's. For the whole time since we got here, Jake genuinely looked like nothing was on his mind except fun. A wave of relief came through me, making me sigh in happiness. We were together, just the two of us, having a blast, and he wasn't thinking about his breakup. So far, things were going so well. Except for the (not so much) insignificant memories of our kiss that kept flashing on the blank screen of my mind like subliminal images. It was like a movie was playing in my head, only as background noise, while the other parts of my brain kept doing their work, barely noticing it. Nobody knows that they saw it, but they did. This was the absolute worst time for acting all awkward. If Jake realized I was, he will put one and one together and he'll be the uneasy one. I needed a distraction. And I just found the perfect one.

- Hey, Jake, I called without looking, what do you think ?

Raising his head from the rings stand he was focusing on, the boy briefly searched me through the small groups of people, coming closer and glancing in the direction I was looking.

- Have you ever done it before ?, he said without glancing away.

- Have you ?

We turned to face each other, exchanging a challenging look.

- Come on ! Try to reach my hand at least !

- I'm trying !

Shaky on his feet, Jake stubbornly kept on gripping the hem of the wooden hoop delimiting the track. So it turned out it was his first time ice skating after all. Who would have thought ? The boy was the one telling Mandy and I his hometown was basically a giant Christmas market but he apparently never learned how to ice skate. And it was hilarious to watch. Now I wasn't a professionnal myself so I initially planned on not making fun of him but for once he looked so ridiculous I couldn't help it. Jake was usually that guy who knew how to do absolutely anything, and in addition to it, excelled on it. There was no way I was going to let this golden opportunity pass. While I was waiting for him leaning on the wooden barrier, his handsome self was taking baby steps, bending over so much he was almost completely folded in half, pulling himself with the help of the barrier to move forward.

- You look constipated.

- Just wait until I get there and I'll kick your ass !

- Yeah, I'll come back in a week or so to check on you.

His laugh got the last of his energy and he let himself fall on the ice, defeated, throwing his arms in the air in surrender. I understood it was my cue to go help him out. With wobbly legs, I slid his way, trying to keep my balance because overwise Jake would make a show of poking fun at me for falling too. Having made sure my position was bringing me enough support, I offered Jake my hand to help him on his feet. And boy it wasn't an easy task. We almost tripped over, one of his legs was sliding away on the ice, and the guitarist was heavier than it seemed, but we got it eventually. Not confident in the slightest, Jake got my hand firmly in his, letting me lead the way, eyes going from my face to his feet, looking somewhat proud he was at least going somewhere. His undying enthusiasm was so endearing, it never failed to make me smile. Wanting to make the most of this experience, I turned on my heels to face him, taking his other hand in mine, skating backwards, a little faster now. Even though his legs were still stiff, the firm grasp he had on my fingers relaxed a bit, and he was standing almost straight now, trusting me to pull him around the track. The few people around weren't bothered by us at all wading around, circling us and not paying attention, which helped putting us at ease.

- Alright I'll let you slide alone now, try to come to me.

Reluctantly, Jake let go of my fingers, trying to find a stability by himself, while I stayed at a safe distance to prevent him from falling against the hard surface. The boy wiggled a bit but eventually found his balance, slowly skating my way with an arm reaching to me, a proud and boyish smile on his face. However, impatient to get here, he caught my hand too fast and too abruptly, pulling me close to him, making our bodies collide into one another, legs tangling and sliding awkwardly together as we both tried to stay on our feet, grabbing onto one another. We paused, making sure we weren't slipping anymore, and Jake was the first to let out a sigh.

- Man I didn't realize it was so hard. You alright doll ?

His warm breath caressed my cheek, and his rough voice my ears. It's only when I raised my head to look at him that I noticed how close we were. My hands were still tightly holding his coat around the shoulders, while his arms had wrapped themselves on the small of my back, keeping me safe in his embrace. Just a look at his warm brown eyes and his blushed cheeks and I already forgot what was the question. I just studied his flushed face, from his cute beauty mark to his plump lips... There was no mistake that he caught me doing it, but instead of speaking up to lighten the mood, Jake stood still, the only moving thing his eyes, observing me through dark eyelashes, leisurely settling his gaze on my lips... And in this moment more than any other, I really wanted to kiss him. To hell with being friends, to hell with everything, my only wish was to feel his lips against mine once again. Jake didn't let me the time to give it much more thought however, because one of his hands left my back to reach my face, making me instinctively close my eyes.

Gently, his clothed digits brushed my hair, then the tip of my nose.

- There was a snowflake..., Jake muttered.

Feeling bashful that my naive self betrayed my thoughts, I glanced at him through my eyelashes, biting the inside of my cheek. That's when I saw it. A tiny, tiny snowflake, carefully landing on one of Jake's brown locks. We raised our heads, witnessing the first snow of the year after a long and dry Winter, smiles adorning our rosy visages. The boy took my hand, leading the way the best he could.

- Come, let's resume our tour before the snow starts settling.

Walking around with my arms crossed over my chest in order to keep me warm didn't go unnoticed by Jake, who started being concerned about me before I even got to answer his question. And not only did he rubbed my sides in order to provide heat, he also removed his beanie to put it on my head, shoving it up to my eyebrows and making sure it covered my ears. It felt good, being pampered like this. I must've looked so small, face all red from the cold with Jake stroking my back. He even had the idea to get us hot chocolate, which was the best we had all day. We quietly sat on a bench, watching the snow fall, blowing on our hot beverage to cool it down. The moment the carton cup got in contact with my numb hands, all my body woke up, heat circulating everywhere inside. There was nothing like hot chocolate in Winter, it was so comforting. And having this moment shared with Jake made everything better. Stealing a glance, I observed his lean frame quietly sipping on his drink, before he noticed me and lifted his head, eyebrows raised with a quizzical look on his face, chocolate mustache all over his upper lip. That made me snicker, while the idiot still pretended he didn't know what was going on.

- Why are you laughing ? Is snow that funny ? Do you know how people will have to work hard to shovel the roads tomorrow ?

- Stop it, I breathed between loud chuckles.

- Stop what ?

With the only purpose of making me laugh some more, he got closer, big proud smile on his lips, shoving his new mustache to my face.

- Oh my god Jake wipe your mouth, I can't-

- Is there something on my face ?

Gulping down some of my hot beverage, it was my time looking silly, abruptly turning to him for dramatic effect, already feeling the chocolate on my upper lip drip lower. Now it was Jake who was calling my name, while we cackled like two idiots. A couple of old folks passed us by, seemingly amused by our childish behaviour, like everytime we were together.

- It looks so gross, he commented.

- How dare you talk about my mustache like that, sir.

- Your « mustache » is smeared all over the place, doll.

That made us come to the agreement that it was time for both our respective mustaches to go. And like a child, I didn't have a say in Jake's decision to wipe my mouth himself. We continued our tour, feeling warmer and more energetic now, pointing at everything and closely examining each Christmas light or clothes we found in our way. Sellers were all in a genuinely good mood, happiness communicating from one another, proudly offering us a taste of their food, or explaining how they carved wooden sculptures and what paint they used. Some of them even called us, asking if we wanted to come have a look at their stand and we obliged, even without buying anything, just to have a small chat with the men and women standing in their cabins wrapped in big comfy sweaters, sticking to the heater.

- Hello there !, one of them called, Looking for anything in particular ? I have beautiful scarves for your girlfriend.

Oh, I figured it might happen. It wasn't the first time, nor wouldn't be the last that someone had or will mistake a friend and I for a couple. So of course, the rule applied to Jake too. And given the romantic feelings I arbored for him, some people must have felt it. Things like these showed. It wasn't something one could explain, it was just... in the air. In the soft gestures, the smiles, and the languid looks. Not wanting to make Jake feel embarrassed, I tried to clear the misunderstanding.

- We're not-

- Do you have this one in purple ?

Much to my surprise, the boy didn't care at all. Or most likely he didn't even seem to catch it. He just went nearer to the stand, perfectly unperturbated by the fact that the man believed we were an item. As my sheepiness was reaching another level, I shyly took a step forward to stand next to Jake, trying to focus on his next purchase without asking myself if we both looked like a real, credible couple. The seller who had took a step back to look at the model Jake had asked returned with the scarf, handing it to him to feel the material, adressing me a polite smile while he took off his wallet to pay. We had just said our goodbyes and wished him a nice day when Jake wrapped my neck with a soft, fluffy purple scarf, tying it at the front to make sure I stayed warm.

- Remember when I told you I'll find a way to repay you for the flyers ? I hope this'll do.

My hands took his, preventing him from whatever he was doing with the scarf.

- Jake I... This is too much, I didn't invite you to buy me things. To be honest it was supposed to make you feel better, but...

Stuttering, trying to find a way to express what I wanted to do and fumbling with my words, they finally died on my throat, leaving me in front of a very confused Jake, brows furrowed. I let out a small sigh through my nose, now fearing to have fucked up somewhere without exactly knowing where. Is he upset ? And if so, why, he looked depressed, I wanted to help, and he was smiling all day so why be upset ? Or was there something I missed ?

- To make me feel better ?, he parroted.

Much to my relief, he didn't sound mad, just genuinely confused about the whole situation, like my mind was a code he was trying to crack. Still not knowing how to formulate my thoughts without him taking it the wrong way (for some reason, you never know), I stayed silent, until he spoke up.

- About Mina ? Listen doll, if this is about that, I'm not sad. I was, but as I told you, I'm over it already. Maybe it sounds fast, I don't know, I had a lot of time to think about it, and I'm good. Honesrly.

What ?

- You are ?

- Yeah, he chuckled. Why ? What went through your head ?

Oh no, it was so embarrassing. I could hear all the little persons making my brain work screaming and setting everything on fire, giving in to panic, letting me in my awkward mode to face Jake.

- You uhm... You looked elsewhere, so I figured...

Surprisingly, it was Jake's turn to look perfectly uncomfortable, cheeks turning a darker shade of pink than they already were, refusing to meet me in the eye, shifting awkwardly on his feet. The long haired boy cleared his throat.

- Yeah, there's something on my mind actually, but it's... a pleasant something. Don't worry about it. I appreciate your concern, anyway. Thanks. It was a really good idea.

The change of topic was sudden but effective, his bright smile too, and even if I noticed, I didn't push the matter. What was going on in his mind wasn't any of my business. Glad that we cleared that misunderstanding, we continued walking, taking our time to leave the Christmas market to call an Uber to ride us home. It was quiet, only the sound of our feet mashing the snow accompanied us, yet it wasn't unpleasant. On the contrary, it was a comfortable silence, the one when you just enjoy the other's company, and where no words were needed. My red and shaky fingers kept grabbing the hem of my sleeves to cover them, which Jake managed to notice. Without saying anything, he took my hand.

- You must be freezing, he muttered. Here, let's share.

Before I knew what was going on, Jake had removed one of his gloves for me to borrow, and warmth instantly tickled my skin.

- Give me your other hand.

Raising an arm to him, the boy took it in his bare one, carefully putting them deep into his jacket pocket, sheltering them from the cold air. We stayed close to one another like that, resuming our walking, fingers tangled into his pocket, hidden from the outside world like they were in their own little hideway. My thumping heart accelerating my pulse must've resonating through my fingers, but I didn't dare to move an inch, relishing each second our skin touched like it was the last one.

Has expected the latest GoT killed me ! Did I saw it coming ? Yeah. Did I was still scared for 80 minutes ? Sure

This episode didn’t disappointed me at all. The scenery and the battle and the picture and music in this episode was excellent. Now into the feelings

- First the ending : Did I expected the Night King to be killed into this episode. Honestly no I thought that the war between the living and the dead to last two episode but I wasn't disappointed because this ending though !!! My girl Arya did it !!!!!! I didn’t expected that she would be the one to kill the Night King. But when I think about it it’s totally logical I mean she’s a trained assassin she was one of the people who had a chance to do it and seeing her winning the war, killing the enemy that we know and fear for 8 seasons was great. Her character growth is one of the best I’ve ever seen or read and it was great. Her scenes in the library, her chase in Winterfell, the fact that the Hound saved her. And Melisandre prophecy when they meet again and the tribute to Sirio

- Sansa and Tyrion in the crypts: let’s be honest we all see coming the fact that choosing a place with dead people to hide the people of Winterfell when the enemy can bring back the dead wasn’t the best idea. Anyway. I honestly didn’t saw coming the talk between Tyrion and Sansa, I mean it had a particular vibe about it I didn't expected between them. Side thing : I actually appreciated Missandei coming at Sansa when she talked about Daenerys, in the aspect that it’s true she came with two dragons and two armies. But I’m not one of those persons who wants to confronts them to each other I simply liked the show of friendship and loyalty Missandei show toward Dany. I think that Sansa was actually brace to stay in the crypt, she knows she’s not a fighter, that she may have a chance to help her people in the crypt but not in the battlefield and her will to pick up the knife that Arya gave her to kill the Wrights that were here was also quite brave.

- Dany and Jon : They fight Targaryen style with their dragons and some of the amazing shots came from these scenes in my opinion. They help a lot. I mean they burn thousands of Wrights and they give us light and they fight the Night King, who with Viseryon was kind of hard to fight for other soldiers. I also loved that this episode show the side of Dany and Jon we’ve seen in previous seasons. John is this hero who wants to fight everyone at the same time and who is sometimes a bit reckless. And Dany is the fair queen we’ve seen when she was at Esso. She wants to ride Dragon as soon as she sees that the Dothraki are losing, in part to venge them I believe. Her armies are in fact in the first line. She doesn’t try to kill Jon during the battle or even left him to die or anything she actually save him. To be honest I was a bit afraid that she would hesitate but I’m more than happy to see they didn’t get through that road. She picks up a sword even if she doesn’t know how to fight and I love a queen without survival instinct and a warrior spirit. I stan a couple that fight a war together

- Now the deaths

I cried for Jorah and Lyanna : Jorah has been with us since the beginning and with Dany. He was loyal to no end and was also kind of the king of the friendzone but he was a likable character, wise and with a positive influence over Dany. I love Lyanna because she was badass, she wasn’t afraid to say what she was thinking and she was a warrior, she fought side by side with her army and her last act was to take down a freaking giant. We stan

Beric and Ed were also heartbreaking : Beric because we learn that he was brought back to live time and time again so he could save Arya during this battle. Ed was part of the Night Watch, he’s been friends with John and Sam forever and seeing him die during this episode was heartbreaking.

I was actually sad for Melisandre, she was awful but let’s be honest she save them during the battle with her magic and same with been with her for so long

Edit : Theon my boy !!!! I had a complicated relationship with this character I mean he did some bad things but he still came back to Winterfell when it was needed. His death was heartbreaking because his fight is not for power but for the love he has for the Starks, for Bran who is like a brother to him and I cried during this scene a lot

I was scared for Brienne, Jamie and Podrick several time during this episode but they seems to be alive all of them which is a relief for me.

Now we have three more episodes to survive before we know how this amazing show will end. I’ll admit something my biggest regret when it comes to GoT is that I didn’t discover the show earlier so I could enjoy it for a longer period of time.

How to Write a Fandom-Worthy Character (Part 1): “The Complex Heroine”

The “strong” heroine is becoming a cliche, one-dimensional character women can’t relate to or don’t find realistic.

So it’s time we toss the “strong/kick-butt heroine” out and replace it with a more satisfying character: the complex heroine.

Fab fictional femmes like Shuri of Black Panther, Rey of Star Wars, and Eowyn of the Lord of the Rings, have raised the bar high for female characters. And, as writers, it’s time we meet that bar.

So what characteristics should your complex heroine possess in order for readers to freak over her?

Competence

Flaws/weaknesses/failures.

A noble cause she stands for.

Let’s talk about how you can use these traits in your own character crafting process.

Competence

All the ladies I spoke of aren’t strong. No, see, the adjective that better describes them is competent. That means they carry their own, they hold down the fort, and they make use of the beautiful brains God gave ‘em- in brilliant ways. See, being competent allows for strength in multiple areas, not just one.

Just wanting your heroine to be “strong” isn’t enough of a goal for her. Women possess many qualities that make them unique, honorable, and resilient. So focusing on strength alone narrows her possibilities. Focusing on creating a competent heroine, however, gives her more dimension, depth, and allows her a variety of goals and abilities.

Shuri, princess and younger sister to T’Challa, wasn’t just sitting on the sideline as her brother changed Wakandan history. She helped him change it- and not just through fighting, either.

Through the use of her awesome brain, Shuri created gadgets, weapons, and teched-out outfits to help her brother’s goal (really, the nation’s goal). She represented her family, her brother, and her people well by giving to it in valuable ways. And although she’s just teenager, Shuri has focus and direction, thereby producing the best works science has ever seen.

Rey survived on her own as a scavenger for years. She defended herself both mentally and physically against countless attacks, including the most fearsome attack from Mr. Prince Emo bad boy himself. Rey was also a quick learner and intuitive with the Force, which made her an excellent mechanic and pilot.

Eowyn, shieldmaiden of Rohan, burns at the fact that women cannot defend those they love. Yet she teaches herself how to handle a sword and hold her own anyway.

Ultimately moved to pull a Mulan and enter the war undercover, Eowyn successfully makes her way to the front. There, she faces the ultimate test of bravery: a smackdown with the Witch King of Agmar.

After the clapback of the century, Eowyn defeats the Witch King in defense of her mortally wounded uncle.

Notice a pattern here? These ladies are all self-taught in some way. Rey, alone most of her life, learns to fend for herself and scavenge to survive. Eowyn, unable to defend those she loves openly, teaches herself the ways of the sword in secret and enters the front in disguise. And Shuri, although she had the best education Wakanda could offer, created these gadgets on her own- always improving where need be.

So here’s the ultimate goal of a competent heroine:

To be a gal that’s got brains- not just brawn.

To have the opportunity to be self-taught, or a self-starter, in at least one area of her life.

To defy the odds and beat expectations.

Flaws, Failures, and Weaknesses

“But why should my heroine have flaws or failures, Rae? Won’t that just make her appear weak or incompetent?”

No, beautiful unicorn, it won’t.

Why?

Because no one can relate to a perfect heroine, a flawless heroine. I don’t know one woman who hasn’t made a mistake in their life (ahem, I’m looking at you, girl in the mirror).

Although the Force was strong with Rey, she still had weaknesses and honest desires gone unfulfilled. She longed to discover who her parents are and find her place in the world. Even though she had discovered her calling, she felt lost nonetheless and wanted, more than anything, for someone to help her find her place in the war. Those powerful, real desires made Rey a believable, relatable, beloved heroine.

As valiant as Eowyn was, she wasn’t without flaws. Her naivety bears down hard on her when she faces the horrors of war. This flaw also leads her to heartbreak, when Aragorn friendzones her hard. But we feel for Eowyn and relate to her struggle to find love in a world overcome with war.

To give your heroine a desire to find love and be loved is not a weakness, it’s a relatable quality.

Clearly, to bear a significant weakness or to fail in some way only makes heroines more relatable, realistic, and complex. Readers want to connect to characters, to see a bit of themselves in the heroine, so make sure you don’t just show her best side.

The point about flaws/failures/weaknesses is this:

Readers will find your heroine relatable and realistic.

They add depth and dimension to your heroine that readers will appreciate.

Standing for a Noble Cause

What does she stand for? What belief does she live for? Would she die for it?

To be apart of something bigger than ourselves gives us great purpose, gives us a wider worldview and perspective outside our immediate needs. Give your heroine that same purpose. If she doesn’t stand for a cause greater than herself, she’ll flatline.

Rey decidedly threw herself into the fight for the rebellion. Even though she lived on the outskirts as a mere scavenger, when the opportunity “rolled” itself into her life, she made her choice. Rey’s beliefs were greatly tested, yet she came out the other side an even more capable character.

Shuri used her talents for the greater good as well. She helped support T’Challa and bring Wakanda to the level of ingenuity it became legendary for. Her works weren’t just a trophy to hang on the wall-they had real purpose, and as a last resort, she used her weaponry in battle herself.

Eowyn wouldn’t stand idly by as Middle Earth fell into the hands of Sauron. She courageously took on a battle no other woman had before. Fighting for the world of men, and even taking a hard hit from the Witch King in the process, Eowyn took her stand valiantly.

Here’s what you need to take away from heroines who stand for a noble cause:

Readers admire and respect a heroine who stands for something bigger than herself.

Fighting an internal or external battle to defend that belief, no matter the odds, helps cement their identity as a beloved heroine.

Let’s be clear about something real quick: your heroine doesn’t have to fight in a battle to be strong. She doesn’t have to swing a sword or battle ax to be considered worthy of our respect.

There are many types of heroines and that’s okay. But if you want to create a complexheroine readers will appreciate, then remember these three keys:

Make her competent

Allow her to use her brain

Let her be a self-starter or self-taught

2. Give her flaws/failures/weaknesses

She doesn’t always have to win every battle (and she shouldn’t)

Failures make her relatable and more beloved to readers

3. Give her a noble cause to stand for

Standing for something greater than herself gives her a purpose readers appreciate

Defending that belief despite great opposition builds her character

An Ode To Garth...Escaper of the Friendzone

In recent episodes, DC’s Titans has come on really strong, shedding the somber albatross that was Season One, and moving forward to a much better written Season Two. I missed out on the recap of last week’s episode, but that’s just fine since nothing in this week’s episode deals with the cliffhanger from it. So we’ll forge right ahead and revisit that episode at a later date.

So this episode, as I said doesn’t deal with anything from last episode, but it does shed a lot of light on what led to the Titans conflict with Deathstroke, as well as give us a good, long look at how different things were for the team when they were first together. It was an obviously simpler time, everyone was very happy in their skin, and remained friends/family despite some broken relationships. This is where we meet Garth aka Aqualad, played by Drew Van Acker. Dude looks ripped straight from an issue of Aquaman, except he looks more like classic Arthur Curry than Jason Momoa could hope for on his BEST day. Surfer boy, blonde, bright smile…which is a little odd since Garth was never a blonde in any comic book iteration, but I digress.

Anyways, after foiling an attempted carjacking, we see that Garth is being thrown a birthday party at Titans Tower where he’s showered with love and adulation by his superhero family, Hank Hall, Dick Grayson and his girlfriend Dawn Granger. Yep, you read that right. Apparently ol’ Dick was the rebound when Hank’s annoying frat boy ways finally ground on her last nerves. Obviously there’s no hard feelings in the slightest, which to be honest is pretty damn cool to see Hank not devolve into an angry, jealous ex-boyfriend stereotype. However, Donna Troy seemingly wants absolutely nothing to do with any of these festivities, choosing instead to bury her head in a Frieda Kahlo book. Why? She’s trying everything she can to keep Garth in the place that so many men find themselves with women, THE FRIENDZONE.

How can a guy like Hank manage to drink Pabst Blue Ribbon and not immediately want to chase it with a much better brewski?

Garth, despite his repeated attempts in the episode, can’t seem to grasp a solid foothold to climb out of the sunken place of romance. He’s been crushing on Donna for years and has never once given up trying to get her to return his affections. Now, in today’s day and age, one could take his persistence as stalking or harassment which, if that’s where you went hearing about it, seek help. Garth is no social reject who feels or acts like he’s entitled to Donna’s affections, he just trys incredibly hard to spend time with her but backs off when she puts up resistance. Donna, on her end, seems hell-bent on doing everything to make sure he stays there though and to be honest, it made me kind of dislike her tactics. Faced with the burgeoning feelings for her teammate/childhood friend, while also considering her destiny as a Themyscrian warrior princess who set to return to the Island of Paradise she opts to run instead of facing her feelings.

Donna consults with her liason at the Themyscrian Embassy (and let me be honest, that was a cool thing to see that aspect of Diana’s history is well represented here) and arranges her departure to return and assume her destined role. After a rumble with Dr. Light, who they stop from acquiring a source of deadly power, she then finally gives in to Garth’s advances, since she apparently feels it’ll be the last opportunity she’ll have to see him. She pulls the ol’ “Sleep with em and slip out quietly” move on this poor man. He wakes up thinking that he’s FINALLY broken through and commiserates with Dick in the great room. Dick, being the good friend he is, lets him in on the news that he got the ultimate one-night stand treatment.

Sadly, this is where things kind of got unexpectedly pretty grim for our hero. Finding Donna at the private airstrip, Garth tried to browbeat Donna into her treatment of him at that moment, pretty much calling her a coward for running away from what her heart is telling her. In predictable fashion, Donna sees reason and runs after the departing Garth, leaping into his arms only to see him gunned down by Deathstroke. The murder of their teammate at the hands of the mercenary sets them all on a path seeking revenge for the tragedy that befell them. The end sets up a turning point for the team that obviously broke them completely apart and shredded their previously upbeat, carefree demeanor. Its all fun and games till someone gets killed I guess.

The episode also gave us our first glimpse at Jericho, Deathstroke’s son and Rose’s sister. Deathstroke apparently has been keeping a watch on him and his estranged wife, as we see earlier in the episode. Yet after the murder of Aqualad, he finds himself under the watchful gaze of Dick Grayson, who is now resorting to all the tricks of his mentor, Batman, making it clear that he’ll be exploiting Jericho to find Deathstroke. It was a little jarring to completely disconnect from the current storyline to dedicate these next two eps to flashback but the story definitely needed telling. Four episodes in, Titans is definitely in a good groove and its building toward an explosive follow-up to this episode!

Basically a mildly funny, delusional therapy session!

Ok, I can't anymore I just need to let it out.

I've been in bed since this morning as I got food poisoning/stomach flu and I'm quite sure it's because of D&D and not the T/A.

So anyway let's rant...also my nimble fingers might make typos as I'm super dehydrated (feeling like Ghost after fighting with WWs and being abandoned by Jon the Dumbest).

So we start with the funeral.....and its sombre as shit. Well done David Nutter btw. And we move on to eating food 🤮.

Here we go: Dany! I love(d) her so much, but lately she's all over the place going from crazy to crazy in love. Now don't let my lack of detecting any chemistry between her and Resident Emo Boy confuse you BUT are we just all going to sweep the incestous undertones under the pelts?Here I am watching another make out scene???.....but ok I shall resurrect and go to Kings Landing where Cersei is hosting a party (Wall themed I see). After losing her baby (also wth how did she not see them?why didn't she dracarys Eurons ass?), her Sir Friendzone and her BFF once again Dany is made to seem BAD for mourning in a murderous way (ah I guess it's ok if Arya does it....or Snow?), Being held to higher standard .....JUST BC SHE HAS A VAGINA??? ( Dios Mio, Olenna please).

Next up on my list Arya who went back to her old cuddle buddy The Hound.....Kind of digging it. Gendry you dumbass (❤️) offer her to go on a round-trip of murder (Bonnie & Clyde style) not a marriage. Also mad love for making her an honest woman with those puppy eyes.

Brienne & Jaime ....and this is where we go cray-cray. Dear fellow citizen of Tumblr, if you still reading brace yourself....by the end of the next 2 episodes (if U ARE a BRAIME shipper) you be losing golden hands, legs, basically everything that you can rip off (like Miss Vanjie did when singing No More Pain). So after reading countless (!!!!) posts about how people interpreted that scene (remember dear reader I was ill today so it was a lot) I think we can settle on Prince Charming Now Turned Old Guy Because Of International Incestous Relations is a dumbass with a death wish. BUT is he a good dumbass or a bad one.Now here I'd like to point out two things I didn't see considered:

Jaime already killed a king to save the population of Kings Landing.

Jaime said to Brienne he would have done the deed at Riverrun....but he didn't cus of Brie-Brie .....I'm assuming we all saw the things he did for her that went against Cersei. He went back to rescue her instead of rushing to KL, he arranged for her to leave as soon as Queen Should Have Been Thanos' Wife even breathed in her general direction, gave her instructions and means to protect Sansa even though his sister wanted her dead, took Riverrun in piece BC Brie-Brie asked !!!!! Come on guys after all that you can't believe he would put Cersei before her (or maybe I'm fuckin wrong since D&D don't even seem to know correct details in their behind the scenes cuts). So yes I believe Jamie wants to kill Female Jaime because....if she defeats Dany she is coming for them in Winter fell (also Brienne and Sansa are in WF).

No I don't ship Jaimsa (because hello fuckin weirdos 💝), but Briennes oath means something to Jaime.

BUT I hate...hate...hate how Jaime left her (the 🍑). He broke her heart after she finally opened it ...and this (D2 will burn in hell, the crossroads demon is on it).

Also my two weirdos having the most relatable and clumsy copulation (yes I said it, someone had to) moment. Like don't we all just flirt like Jaime...so smooth: it's hot in here bitches breeches off. Oh look my poor hand doesn't work I guess I will need your help...🥺🥺🥺

Brienne will NOT die. I can't believe otherwise.There are some characters you don't touch (Juliet from Lost, Clarke from The 100, Castiel) and she is one of them. I love that Gwen was real about her arc of being a woman this season.

I do think I have an unhealthy obsession with Braime as this episode actually made me sick(no it wasn't the take away) and now I will forever remember this as the night Braime became canon and the day when I felt like The Prince of Dorne when his eyes were popping (oh Oberyn....Pedro Pascal I miss your holiness sexiness).

And what with all the articles/YouTubers predicting pregnancies? We watched (with my friend, I'm not hallucinating from dehydration) people predicting a pregnant Dany, Brienne, Arya (?)....basically everyone with boobs. Chill guys if you worried about repopulating Samwell is on it!

And Tyrion best wingman in Westeros. What even was he doing showing off to GingerBain (btw good for you, tap dat rebound ass babe....and have fun going back to the land of the lost....you could have taken Dumbass Emo with you 🤫). Btw guys how many versions of the Two Dudes Just Hanging And Discussing The Fate Of The Iron Throne While Demeaning Rulers (mostly women) As Incompetent do we have to sit through? Can I like request to see actual things like Two Eyed Robot telling the sisters about the heritage or Sansa telling Tyrion instead of cutting away? That Tyrion and Sansa scene was having me on the edge.

And we come to Sansa. My queen, my sunshine and..... apparently my New Little finger ( is it only me who hates this comparison that reduces her to a power hungry, brothel-less creepy dude even thought she's been doing everything for her family????). I lost it when I heard them bring this up in the Untucked Uncut vid. Like maybe give us some actual scenes with Sansa where we get to see her contemplating her goals and wishes and not just her looking pretty up into the sky (compulsory shot of season 8). I've been feeling so far away from Sansa since season 7 (worst season ever....but this one is a contender).

Also from now on I'm believing in Bronn.He foresaw the Bang and said he will collect later. There will be a later for the boys! Bronn gave up on the castle he's now gone to take over for the Witchy Woman who talked to frogs and Cersei. Big ups for the resident Reversed Three Eyed Raven!

I have read the interview where GRRM said he doesn't agree or like some character fates. I agree GRRM so can you give us a book ....I mean God's it takes me ages to get started on my coursework, bit at least I submit it 10 min before the deadline!

Also the total lack of any mention of Braime in both behind the scenes....??!!!...Might be good news.
