18 for Sen, Anastas, and Mordren
18. Which card would they be from the major arcana of tarot cards? (If you're more well read in tarot, you could also do minor arcana.)
Sen: The Chariot
Anastas: The Devil
Mordren: The Magician
#asks#nanocrymo#nanocrymo24#original fiction#some of these feel too on the nose but hey that's what the major arcana is for#i would say in a reading sen might also see something like the Knight of Pentacles#or perhaps even the Sun#Anastas would probably see The Moon and an unhealthy amount of sword cards#Mordren would almost assuredly be Knight or Page of Wands as well

I like to think Geoffrey Mccullum as arthur's progeny but Jonathan did contribuite with his blood because it would remind the born of Mordren who is illegitimate son of arthur by incest.
Plus Mordred!Geoffrey as nickname for evil geoffrey is bloody metal.
I imagine arthur and jonathan being mean parents during custody battle.
LMAO right, Arthur and Jonathan are both Myrddin's direct Progeny! so if Geoffrey is both their Progeny, that does technically make him a product of vampiric incest.
gee, Geoffrey, why did Stephane Beauverger give you FOUR father figures?? (Mister McCullum, Carl Eldritch, Arthur Pendragon, and Jonathan Reid)

2, 5, 15, and 17 for the WOTR mechanics asks?
@mathlann
thank you so much for asking!! loved getting into my weird build shenanigans so far
What led to the Knight-Commander picking their archetype, or staying the standard class?
it's not something I've put a whole lot of thought into for any of them. i just kind of picked what looked interesting to me.
Which class features would particularly stand out with them - Rage, Channel Positive/Negative Energy, Animal Companions, etc.?
Has to be Swift Tactician for Tamarie, even though Life Bonding Friendship makes it obsolete, sharing the teamwork feats in general is pretty huge.
Cernan's Thing has to be the sacred weapon enhancements, brilliant energy is always nice to have in the later game.
does arcane bolt count as a class feature. it was pretty nice to have in act 1 i guess?
How does their ancestry (race) play into their class and mythic path - do they overlap, or what dynamic is created from that combination?
honestly? not something i gave any conscious thought to for any of them, which is a little funny to me because i think in general tiefling demon is one of the more Basic picks you could go for, but any of that went out the window when my brain said "horns pretty", and my brain was right.
In your story, does the Knight-Commander consciously choose their mythic path at Drezen, or was it thrust upon them by their actions or some other outside force?
definitely a conscious choice for all of them, i feel like its kind of important to each of their vibes that they could've gone with something else but chose not to. tamarie avoided a doomer lich arc by a hair tbh
Do they overlap with a party member in role or narrative presence, and if so how do they contrast from said party member?
Tamarie obviously has the narrative overlap with Arue, but that's important because when narratives overlap its basically like they're kissing.
Cernan overlaps with Sosiel in that I almost always respec Sosiel into warpriest, so for their run i had to make the groundbreaking decision to keep him as a cleric.
Mordren ended up benching Nenio 99% of the time, in combat she just ended up feeling worth like. 2 or 3 Nenios by herself, even respeccing nenio into magic deceiver didn't do a whole lot to help because by that point Demon Fuckery gave me way better spell DCs than anything i could set up on Nenio. Woljif also got benched pretty often, but I ended up doing some neat things with him in act 5 with the Arcane Trickster capstone, Aspect of Nocticula, speccing him into crossbows and fire and/or ray spells, and some gloves that give enemies a fire vulnerability on getting hit with a sneak attack.
#i feel like every ask i answer has me calling myself out increasingly harder about how much i enjoyed the Pure Math of playing demon#like azata was cool and aeon. well aeon kinda sucked but i can gush about how much i enjoy demon's mechanics and how versatile it is all day#asks

I’m not done Maude and Mordi-posting, either! Here’s some antagonists for you!
The Barbed Knight - a mysterious knight who has been sending goons to rough up various nonhuman settlements in search of the key to the Mountain King’s Castle, a long lost fortress rumored to contain untold magical power...
Dragon-Blessed Mordren - an ancient and powerful sorceress who, legend has it, was a close confidant of the mythical mountain king until she betrayed him, and now seeks out the old king’s lair for unknown reasons
Mount - the barbed knight’s manticore steed, whose predatory ferocity has been thoroughly subjugated by his master’s cruelty
Baroness Rizelda Gustav & Baron Halvard Smor - basically medieval Team Rocket
George Garston III - a dragonslayer who’s been collecting dragon teeth on the barbed knight’s orders. His latest job is to kill a certain dragon that’s been spotted in Maude’s hometown...
Marquesse Mabania - a powerful fairy aristocrat who’s looking for a member of her court that has disappeared. Not affiliated with the other antagonists.

Fanfiction:
Here’s how I imagine Roxton's ex-wife and the girl who was swapped with Marguerite at birth: Claire Blackwell. It turns out she's a relative of Mordren. One day, he approaches her, reveals the whole truth, gives her the ouroboros, and tries to lure her to his side. He asks her to go to the Plateau, come between Roxton and Marguerite, and in return, promises her great wealth. At first glance, she seems wicked, but the plot twist is that she's the sweetest person ever with a strong sense of justice. In the end, she betrays Mordren and sides with the explorers. Claire doesn't have romantic feelings for John but cares for him deeply, like a cousin or brother. Marguerite, who struggled with being the reincarnation of Morrighan and feared being consumed by a dark force, finds inspiration in how Claire easily handles her connection to Mordren without it affecting her good nature. This encourages Marguerite to embrace her own nature more confidently. Claire eventually marries an American and moves to America to start a new life.

Hello!
My name is Kasper, and i wanted to do a little introduction about myself. I'm currently writing an IF game titled Enrilth (subject to change). just a bit about me before I introduce my game, i'm almost 23, afab and every kind of queer. I've been wanting to make a game like this since i was 16 and taught myself how to code just for this exact reason. I am nuerodivergent (ADHD, and probably many other things that have yet to be diagnosed) and I started a tumblr so i could find others who are creating IF and to find people who would be interested in my game! Now a bit about that; Enrilth is a fantasy IF game, with 5 ROs (maybe even a secret 6th RO) that is very much LGBT friendly.
The RO's consist of Wren: an elven mage with an incredibly mysterious background. Usually cold and distant, will he change his tune? and how did he end up with those (mental and physical) scars? Mordren: A demon, who usually gets an incredibly bad wrap. She just wants to help people, and if her great axe helps, more fun for her!
Salazar: okay if you ACTUALLY like him, are you okay? hes handsome, cunning sly, and a fantastic assassin, but can he get over the fact that he has to travel with other races??? Harisa: A DRAGON BADDIE! they absolutely love to challenge themself in any way possible. I mean dragons live for quite a long time, why not perfect themself in every way? Morgrym: Just Grym for short please. also dont say the word short around him. He may be a dwarven warrior, but that doesn't mean he cant kick ass like everyone else, and he will definitely let you know!
thank you so much for taking the time to meet me and my little fantasy world i am creating! stay tuned!

I'm going to start posting ideas for my D&D campaigns that I am too ADHD or anxious to run here. Let's start with something simple like my flat out plagiarism of Warhammer and Warcraft settings.
A meteor has hit he northern most realms of the land. This meteor has created a huge surge in magic, creating a rise in magical phenomena in the realms. With this rise in power, 3 factions have decided that they want to take the power for themselves. To the West is an alliance off orcs, trolls, giants, goblins, and other monstrous creatures that is being led by the Orc Warlord Urgash the Conquerer who sees this meteor as a divine sign of his gods that he should rule by taking the meteor. To the east is the Vampire lord Matthias Mordren who, with the help of the rise in magical power, has raised an army of the undead led by his vampire generals to bring the living world to heel. To the south is a demon cult in charge of the Principality of Selvaris. Led by the vain but cruel Prince Armand Selvan who conscripts his lesser citizens to capture other soldiers to sacrifice to their demon lords. And you all start in the alliance held kingdoms who are dead center, trying their best to survive this onslaught of the three armies all trying to get to this mysterious meteor.

pwotr mechanics asks - 1, 16 and 20 for your KC?
thanks so much for asking!!
What led the future Knight-Commander to take their base class?
for tamarie, it just makes sense to be an inquisitor, and being able to properly fight without going full cleric appeals to her a lot more than constant spellcasting would. for me personally, it seemed like a fun class to go for when i knew next to nothing about pf1e
with cernan it's largely the same reasons for being a warpriest, but much more direct as far as combat goes, with a higher emphasis on self-buffing and being better in melee, and a little channel negative energy as a treat
mordren's mostly a sage sorcerer because. sorcerer. she's had spellcasters in the family for a pretty good while, going back to some hellknight signifier some ~120 years ago whose details i have *not* ironed out beyond "asmodeus's most laughable magus got disgraced and joined the crusades to cope before it was cool"
16 got answered here:
Is there an item in-game that you felt became iconic to the Knight-Commander?
tamarie vibes really well with finnean, so he gets equipped a lot, especially in the later acts of the game
cernan was originally going to be specced into flails, but (weapon focus plus mod my beloved) there are a lot of *very* nice mid-lategame war hammers, and very few good flails & heavy flails by comparison
so now these warhammers are their New Thing circa act 4
Inquisitors Hate Her: This Sorcerer Is Becoming A Full Martial With This Simple 8-Step Program
it's kind of a gimmick weapon usually, but it's really fun, and thematically kinda fucks, and i was able to squeeze a lot of big numbers out of it. would rush crusade mode before even touching wintersun again
