Curumo, former Maia of Aulë, "brother" to Mairon, whom he admires very much. Always standing in Mairon's shadow he tries to catch a piece of Mairon's power and success by serving him and Melkor as their secret spy. Curumo enters the mortal world as Saruman the wise wizard, looking like a creature of light, to seem more trust worthy to the mortals. His main task is gaslighting the Eldar. He stands by Mairon's side till the better end...when he realizes that Mairon used him all the time it is too late.

In my headcanon Curumo followed Mairon cause he admires him and his relationship to Melkor. He wants to be as close to them as he can get to participate on what they have. He also has loving feelings for Lungorthin, Melkor's Balrog bodyguard. The affair with Lungorthin was the source of Curumos love for creatures of the darkness.

On this drawing he's still a young, but already fallen Maia, practicing to use his powers to serve the dark lords. He gets his iconic white beard later when he enters the world of the elves. Like all Maiar he can shape shift.

This is not exactly The Harrowing fanart but reading the latest two chapters definitely motivated me to finish this piece. So yall have @chthonion to thank for the sudden activity on this blog.

Frodo is my favorite character from Lotr and I was so pleasantly suprised to see him in the main cast of a post canon silvergifting fanfic. I always thought Frodo and Sauron had a very interesting and kinda unconventional villain and hero dynamic.

Btw I also reorganized my playlist I made for the fic. Though at this point I still have to find some songs that reflect the recent events. If you know you know. @thuringwedhil if you read this please burn my body. I am deceased and posting this from Silvergifting hell.

Dumb instagram/tiktok/whatever filters are literally the one and only reason this picture came into existence, and the joke lost some of it's shine over the past two years it took for me to finish it. I think the thing I was going for was "Lord of the Rings characters, Ghibli art style style, dumb selfie pose with cutesy Instagram filter" which might have been a bit much.

Anyway, here it is & I spent wayyyyyy to much time on the dark background for the amount of it you can actually see, haha

Also, Photopea is saving my butt. I (and a bunch of people I know) have been found by the Adobe overlords. Somebody's been putting extra hours into hunting pirates huh
