Just finished all your mora-verse(?shit memory and too tired to go look) and I can't wait to read more of your stuff. Do you have plans to work on anything else for that this year? The whole concept of visions changing the user really intrigued me.(Also yes dragon beidou)

While I have no concept of time (or how long it might take me to get back to it to finish it), in my drafts there *is* an inazuma arc speedrun that should theoretically take place after the main story, although that uh, that might take a bit before i actually get it written (will need to re-read all of mora for a myth, to start, to refresh myself on the worldbuilding and writing style).

Characters becoming more *other* is such a fun thing to explore, and the potential for it in genshin is HUGE considering all the wacky things happening in the background and what visions are/aren't, so I'm glad you also found it intriguing!!

Holo-technology is an ethical nightmare. Lemme just magic up a person with individual thoughts and feelings to entertain myself, and then shut them off at my leisure. I’m sure this will have no real-world ramifications for me ever in my life.

We’re out here with a whole holo-village that’s gained sentience, and this is like the fifth time something like this has happened.

In the following weeks their meetings became reoccurring, almost expected. Nahida, as he had come to learn, was an astute player with quick thought, it was interesting for a gambler like him to witness an analytical eye on causality. He could almost admit that he indulged in the game simply because of the act of having fun, but that would be dismissing his growing interest in the girl herself. With each game, a little more was revealed, whether about her or himself, it was only what both of them permitted to be known.

"I know they exist." He feels the need to clarify even though he can tell she understood where he's coming from. It came out on a whim, or perhaps he wishes to gauge her reaction. He's still not completely sure about the identity of the young scholar, but these questions should enlighten whatever doubts he may still have about his judgement.

"But what is it that exactly separates us from them?" He throws the dice, checking which element he gains before he continues with his move. The game is still on going even if the conversation shifts.

"Power and godhood are very fickle things. There's no absolute to them. Why should we rely on something as unstable as a god." He echoes what he has heard but still felt. The halls of the Akademyia are as free as the Mahamatra allows them to be, whispers of discord still linger, however none can ever be attributed.

"Their interest will never be with humanity. It'll always be on the bigger image, regardless of what that may entail." Perhaps with this he has revealed too much. He doesn't know what the other Archon's are like, his only point of comparison is that of the Tsaritsa and her distant coldness to her people.

He places a new card, gaze still fixed on the table, unaware of whatever expression Nahida may be making. He doesn't need to see it to get his answer, Nahida will give it to him, willingly, not betrayed by herself.

"When I first arrived here I was quite surprised. You'd think for a land that prides itself in it's academic prowess they'd relinquish their need for an Archon." And maybe they did, but much like everyone in Teyvat, Aventurine's mind also suffered from the rewrite. As far as he knows, Lesser Lord Kusanali has always been the Dendro Archon. Whatever transpired between the Fatui and the Akademyia remains to those who participated in it, but the cracks show, and while most can accept that they have always been there, Aventurine's of the few that wonder when did they appear in the first place.

"Yet Sumeru venerates Lesser Lord Kusanali, they speak of her as if she's someone present." He makes sure they're locking eyes at this moment, bluff or not, the notion of his speculations about her identity should be passed.

He places another card.

"Hardly anyone knows her face. But they attribute their wishes to her, as if she could ever answer all of them." With a final enhancement, he finishes his turn, straightening his posture as he keeps regarding her. His signature smile in place, as if they're only talking about the weather and not something that may have the Mahamatra on them.

"They act as if she's their virtue when she's just a person." It's not the first time he feels that maybe he's playing a little too close to the edge of heresy around her. It's the trust in that unfathomable wisdom that has him share what he shouldn't. Perhaps, in another life, he would have been blessed by Dendro and born to the land that currently houses him. But as fate would have it, his bond to his land is solidified not just by the mark on his neck but by his Geo vision too. The irony that he's still faithful to what he doesn't believe doesn't escape him.

"Maybe I lack proper knowledge since I am a foreign to the land, but this faith feels unearned." He waits for her move, for the moment, the stakes are equal, anyone could win.

"Tell me, do you think the Dendro Archon would answer my prayer?"

They don't say a word, rather they let their silence speak for themselves. In their features intermixes shame and guilt to form what would be compared to the look of a scolded dog. A view all so foreign to the ronin, deprived from the pride and confidence they previously held at the start. A drastic change from beginning to end. ( The CLARITY that comes afterwards might have cleared up their numbed mind ).

The context they are in is far from the usual, well, for Tem it might have been. Perhaps they had outdone themselves this time. The mess they leave behind goes far from just a couple of dirty sheets and thrown pillows - her body is PROOF of that.

Honestly, even when I add a new verse for the oc(s) and work them into a still-expanding canon, I like to think their presence in the area/time of the narrative is best justified as essentially them running a B-plot in a sitcom to the main quests/protagonists' journeys. Or like. Half the shit Team Rocket gets up to in the movies-

Also I still can't find any TES mods (orcs have so little rip) to really get a good concept of what I want for Moras vesseled au so bringing back the BG3 placeholder design I did. The vessel Mora used was one that happened to be in the Mythos. (and me playing with the easter egg that Moras voice comes out of an Orc in TES).
