Flying time again and headed back to Honolulu again. Stuck behind a family that did not have their shit together this morning. Had an opportunity to visit @traditioncoffeeroasters today. Somehow, as is my luck, I was the only person on the tour so I had a great one on one with the owners and roaster. Learned a lot about the roasting process, got to help load in some beans, and had some great conversation. Trying out the Frey Ranch Bottled-in-Bond Straight Rye paired with a giant Nica Rustica Connecticut Broadleaf cigar. The rye is interesting with notes of Earth, spice, and dill. This is one of those rye whiskeys that is at once great to sip but also strong enough to stand alone in a cocktail. .... I did a thing...probably the only vanity thing I've ever done. I made a personal coin. I promised myself when I got as high as I could get I would make a coin I could give people to thank them for great work. Well here are what I'm going to call version 1.0.
