cregan stark. known as the wolf of the north & later in life the old man of the north, was the lord of winterfell & head of house stark during the reigns of kings viserys i, aegon ii, aegon iii, daeron i targaryen, baelor i targaryen, viserys ii targaryen, aegon iv targaryen & daeron ii targaryen. known as the hand of the uncrowned king, he briefly served as hand of the king for aegon iii after the dance of the dragons, a series of days that would be remembered in the histories as the hour of the wolf. one of the most talented fighters in his time, dueling with even the legendary prince aemon the dragonknight targaryen, the legendary knight of the kingsguard who claimed he faced no finer swordsman. fierce & intimidating, he was the longest living lord in the histories of house stark & one of the greatest in house stark's long history.

sara snow. the younger bastard half-sister of lord cregan stark. daughter of lord rickon stark & lady coriolaena velaryon & despite her baseborn status, she was raised at winterfell. by the court fool mushroom's account, she was the rumored lover & some say secret bride of crown prince jacaerys velaryon, the heir to the iron throne.

lyonel strong. the lord of harrenhal & the head of house strong during the reign of king viserys i targaryen, he served as both master of laws & hand of the king for viserys. a formidable man, lyonel was a man of great natural gifts, as he was slow of speech & a taciturn man, he was often mistaken for an unintelligent brute, however, having studied at the citadel where he earned six links on his chain before deciding that the maester's life was not for him, he was extremely literate & well learned & as a result of his time at the citadel, lyonel had an exhaustive knowledge of the laws of the seven kingdoms & lyonel was also a renowned warrior with a reputation as a formidable fighter. lyonel brought his four children to court with him; his maiden daughters became handmaidens to princess rhaenyra targaryen, his elder son ser harwin was made a captain in the city watch, & his second son larys joined the king's confessors. eventually, as rhaenyra's sworn shield & constant companion, harwin was rumored to be the father of the princess' three sons, for the boys lacked the valyrian traits of silver-gold hair & purple eyes that rhaenyra & laenor shared. in 120 ac, over mounting rumors of his grandsons' parentage, viserys removed ser harwin as princess rhaenyra's sworn shield with lyonel leaving the court to accompany harwin on his return to harrenhal. shortly after their arrival, a fire broke out in the tower they were sleeping in, & killed both lyonel & harwin, along with three retainers & a dozen servants. the fire was considered an accident, & blamed on the curse of harrenhal. however, some records of the time suggested it was a murder, & listed various suspects: corlys velaryon as revenge for harwin cuckolding his son ser laenor velaryon, prince daemon targaryen who's motive would be eliminating a rival for princess rhaenyra's affections, larys strong to claim the inheritance of harrenhal & even king viserys i to eliminate the man who brought shame & dishonor on his house, although in actuality it was larys who slew them as an unwarranted "favor" to queen alicent hightower. thrice married & thrice widowed lyonel had four children from his marriages: ser harwin, larys, & two maiden daughters & an older bastard daughter, alys rivers, from his callow youth. slain at harrenhal with his son ser harwin strong.

harwin strong. known as breakbones, ser harwin was a knight & the heir to harrenhal who served as a captain in the city watch of king's landing. massive, fierce, formidable & gentle, harwin was the strongest man in the seven kingdoms in his day & the rumored lover of princess rhaenyra targaryen, & is in actuality the real father of her three sons with her first husband ser laenor velaryon: jacaerys, lucerys, & joffrey. in 114 ac, princess rhaenyra granted harwin her favor at the tourney celebrating her wedding with ser laenor velaryon. at that tourney, ser criston cole broke his collarbone & shattered his elbow. mushroom mocked him as "brokenbones" after this event. thereafter harwin was a consistent presence at rhaenyra's side & was the foremost member among the blacks. in late 115 ac, according to septon eustace, during the birth of rhaenyra's second son, lucerys, both rhaenyra's husband ser laenor & harwin breakbones were in attendance at her bedside. when rhaenyra moved to dragonstone after the rivalry with queen alicent hightower & the greens grew to be too much, breakbones went with her as her personal sworn shield. in 120 AC, after prince aemond targaryen called rhaenyra's sons "strongs" & a brawl broke out, harwin was removed as princess rhaenyra's champion by king viserys i targaryen & he returned to harrenhal, being replaced by ser erryk cargyll of the kingsguard. slain at harrenhal with his father lord lyonel strong.

larys strong. known as larys clubfoot or the clubfoot, larys was the lord of harrenhal & head of house strong during the latter part of the reign of viserys i targaryen & the reign of king aegon ii targaryen serving on the small council as the master of whisperers & lord confessor for both kings. one of larys' feet was twisted at birth, so he dragged it with a limp. larys rarely spoke, preferring to listen. when he did so it was either to be glib or share words of great importance. the clubfoot was an enigmatic & cunning man, although he could be convincing & amiable when needed, he kept his own counsel & was largely friendless & historians are still baffled as to exactly what clubfoot's loyalties & goals were during the dance of the dragons, for he did not seem to have been absolutely loyal to aegon ii, so much as he aligned with him against their mutual enemy rhaenyra, who had shamed house strong in her affair with his older brother. when king viserys i died in 129 AC, larys was part of the green faction at court, attending the meeting of the small council which agreed to support aegon ii targaryen against his older half-sister, rhaenyra targaryen. larys cut his palm & had the male conspirators in attendance swear a blood oath. aegon's mother, queen alicent hightower, ordered larys to torture blood after the murder of prince jaehaerys targaryen. larys escaped capture during the fall of king's landing to rhaenyra in 130 ac. he spirited aegon, who was still recovering from the battle at rook's rest, & the king's two remaining children, prince maelor & princess jaehaera, from the red keep through a secret passage which led them out of the capital while bypassing the city's gates, insisting the group part ways & ordered ser rickard thorne of aegon's kingsguard to bring maelor to lord lyonel hightower at oldtown, & ser willis fell of the kingsguard to escort jaehaera to lord borros baratheon at storm's end. larys disguised king aegon as a commoner & sent him to dragonstone under the care of ser marston waters, believing her own stronghold would be the last place rhaenyra would think to search for her half brother while larys remained in king's landing, strategically working in secret to undermine rhaenyra's hold on the capital. a key conspirator of the moon of the three kings to the pretender trystane truefyre & in king aegon ii targaryen's murder. secret greenseer & skinchanger. tried & executed by lord cregan stark during the hour of the wolf. as the last of his line, his death brought an end to house strong.

alys rivers / strongrivers. a bastard of house strong, a serving wench with an intrigue in potions as a wet nurse at harrenhal, a woods witch & a lover of prince aemond targaryen (& rumor has it, ser addam velaryon when he arrived at harrenhal to consult the green men at the isle of faces), alys could see visions of the future in storm clouds, pools of water, & flames & was a powerful witch, commanding dark legions of broken men & outlaws reigning as the sorcerous witch queen of harrenhal.

jacaerys velaryon. the firstborn son of rhaenyra targaryen & her first husband ser laenor velaryon (in actuality, his biological father is harwin strong), jacaerys, also known as jace, was named prince of the dragonstone & heir to the iron throne when rhaenyra was crowned queen during the dance of the dragons. according to septon eustace, while holding court king viserys once told the young jacaerys that the iron throne would one day be his. the king's hopes for peace between his sons & grandsons was futile. queen alicent's three sons aegon, aemond, & daeron targaryen became bitter rivals to rhaenyra's three sons, resenting their nephews for stealing their birthright, the iron throne. the enforced closeness between the six boys (attending feasts, sometimes training together at arms, or studying under the same maesters) only increased this dislike. friend, bloodbrother & companion of lord cregan stark. betrothed to lady baela targaryen, but rumors are whispered that he married lord cregan's half sister sara snow. one of the minds behind gaining the vale & the north on the side of the blacks & the red sowing of the dragonseeds. responsible, bold & politically savvy, jacaerys was protective of his family & was considered a worthy heir of house targaryen & of the iron throne. rider of the dragon vermax. slain at the battle of the gullet, struck by crossbows until he sank into the sea where his body was never found. jacaerys' death as the prince of dragonstone was a major blow to the blacks & queen rhaenyra sought vengeance for her son's death.

lucerys velaryon. the secondborn son of rhaenyra targaryen & her first husband ser laenor velaryon (in actuality, his biological father is harwin strong), lucerys, also known as luke, alongside his brothers had a rivalry with queen alicent hightower's sons aegon, aemond & daeron that resulted in a brawl at driftmark with the results being luke with a broken nose & aemond losing an eye at lucerys' hands in defending his elder brother jacaerys. considered the heir to driftmark, lord of the tides & master of driftmark, but corlys velaryon's brother ser vaemond velaryon protested on the grounds that rhaenyra's velaryon sons were not laenor's, but the bastards of harwin strong. rhaenyra had her second husband prince daemon targaryen seize vaemond & strike off his head, & fed the body to her dragon, syrax. vaemond's five cousins fled to king's landing with vaemond's wife & sons, daemion & daeron velaryon, to seek justice before the king. viserys heard them, but ordered each of the cousins' tongues to be removed with hot pincers when they called rhaenyra's sons bastards. betrothed to rhaena targaryen. rider of the dragon arrax. slain at storm's end by vhagar & prince aemond targaryen, her rider. his death resulted in the dance of the dragons no longer a matter of diplomacy, but began a war of fire and blood, with rhaenyra collapsing upon the discovery & daemon swore vengeance for her: an eye for an eye, a son for a son. daemon alongside mysaria the white wyrm sent men known as blood & cheese to assassinate prince jaehaerys, son of king aegon ii & queen helaena as retribution for lucerys' death. in the end, the blood of their children transformed a dynastic dispute into a war of annihilation, the grief & rage of losing a child could burn down the world, either aegon or rhaenyra could live at the end, but not both.

joffrey velaryon. the thirdborn son of rhaenyra targaryen & her first husband ser laenor velaryon (in actuality, his biological father is harwin strong), joffrey, nicknamed joff, like his older brothers, had a rivalry with queen alicent hightower's children aegon, aemond & daeron. joffrey was only eleven years old at the beginning of the dance of the dragons & after learning that lucerys had died in the dance over shipbreaker bay at storm's end, joffrey swore a terrible oath of vengeance against prince aemond & lord borros baratheon, & only his grandparents, lord corlys velaryon & princess rhaenys targaryen, kept him from mounting his own dragon at once. betrothed to the youngest daughter of lord desmond manderly in exchange for white harbor's support of the blacks. sent to gulltown & the eyrie with rhaena targaryen to accompany him. becomes the prince of dragonstone & heir to the iron throne after jacaerys' death at the battle of the gullet whereas after the fall of king's landing rhaenyra sent a fleet to deliver him from gulltown to king's landing where rhaenyra planned a lavish celebration for him. joffrey was eager to prove himself as a warrior & defeat the armies of the greens, but swore solemnly to help his mother hold the red keep in the event of an attack when told to remain in the city with his dragon. during the storming of the dragonpit, he donned squire's armor & begged rhaenyra to let him ride to the dragonpit & mount his dragon but rhaenyra forbade him to leave the castle out of grief for his brothers' deaths, but joffrey went missing & mounted rhaenyra's dragon syrax, never having rode her before which caused her to shake off her unfamiliar rider & rhaenyra sent the seven who rode to bring him back & he fell hundreds of feet below into a house in fleabottom, his last words "mother forgive me". rider of tyraxes. killed during the riots of king's landing & storming of the dragonpit. his half brother prince aegon the younger, later known as aegon iii, became rhaenyra's heir after his death.

“tuesdays” by my beloved io <3 — MY FAVORITE SATORU FIC AND POSSIBLY MY FAVORITE FLUFF FIC IN GENERAL OF ALL TIME RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH no one understands how much peculiar!satoru means to me… this is my favorite rendition of satoru EVER. there’s just something about how io dove into a facet of satoru’s personality that i never really thought about — aka his peculiarities — that just GENUINELY made my brain short-circuit in the best way possible. it was about his awkwardness, seriousness, silliness, & inability to read certain social cues/situations that made me really enamored honestly 😭 also reader was SO real and so fun and was there for satoru in terms of his personal growth! ALSO the story premise was just so unique in GENERAL omfg it was the first fic where i maxed out 30 tags like i didn’t know tumblr had tag limits until i read io’s fic and i just had so much more to say too 😭 WE WEREN’T MOOTS YET WHEN I READ IT BUT TRUST IF WE WERE I WOULD’VE RB’D W 10 PAGES MLA FORMAT ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY!!!!! MOSS’ WRITING IS ONE OF A KIND I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE IT TO BC IT’S SUCH IN A LEAGUE OF ITS OWN!!!!! i think it’s the way that they have 1) the most interesting concepts & character dynamics first and foremost that gets me bc how does one even think of a stablehand!reader? and how is it that it fits so UNBELIEVABLY perfectly with a royal!gojo??? i remember reading the fic for the first time and i was just in awe of how it felt like i was THERE which leads me to point 2) the way moss uses settings to invoke emotion is insane……… from the blood and dark clearings and metal of knight!suguru to the purgatory of youth of suguru & reader and how they connect with sharing fruit to the quaint yet vast green openness of the fields where stablehand!reader works with their horses which then invites satoru in bc the reader just holds a Steadiness and Calmness that infiltrates everyone around them………… all of it is just delicious. JUST YUMMY. (also vamp!suguru? very cunty very sexy i need him CARNALLY.) also for moss… if you’ve ever read a fic of theirs you’re just gonna Understand how insane it is that he’ll just drop the most life-changing quote/paragraph and then go about the story like . Can I Get My Inhaler For A Second I Can’t Breathe……… i HEAVILY implore you to read any moss fic you can because you will get grittiness in one, nostalgia in another, fluff in one, and eroticism in another . just truly and honestly a league of their own when it comes to fic writing <333 this is an i love moss stan account idgaf

“weeping, carved open hearts” by @teddybeartoji — ONE OF MY FAV TOJI FICS EVER RAHHHHHHHHH this one is more hurt/comfort WHICH IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE TYPES OF FICS!!!!! i hold toji so close to my heart and mickey writes him so GENUINELY and so three-dimensionally — she makes him feel like a REAL person in the world with all his faults and insecurities and above all else — his LOVE! it’s like mickey plucks the beauty of the mundanity of real life such as a tree in a storm or a shampoo bottle or even a simple emotion like sadness and CURATES it into something so profoundly beautiful… genuinely he left me in shock & awe with how STUNNING this fic was and how REAL the emotions were from both reader & toji, it was like i was a fly on the wall just watching a true & genuine conversation play out! out of all the tags i have ever written on a fic, i’m most proud of the tags i left on mickey’s fic bc i think it’s the first time where i didn’t just regurgitate information and actually took in what was written by the author & made my own inferences and basically Used My Brain while also waxing poetic about mickey’s writing & the fic :3 ALSO YOU HAVE TO READ “I HUNGER TO COMMIT THE ACT OF TOUCH” . ALL PARTS YOU NEED TO READ ALL PARTS SO FAR AND GET YOUR LIFE CHANGED!!!!! the action the blood the yearning the eroticism the KNIGHTS. moaned loud as FUCK that’s my bad

“where you lead me, i’ll follow” by @twentyfivemiceinatrenchcoat — THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PROSE AND LIFE-CHANGING WRITING YOU WILL EVER READ! i remember reading this fic and being in complete and utter awe because it never once felt like i was READING something, it was like i was LIVING it! the conversations on that rooftop played out like a movie in my head and that’s genuinely the greatest compliment i could ever give — i felt like i was privy to a conversation that was so intimate between two people (suguru & reader) and i felt so CONNECTED to the writing and the emotions invoked through the writing! ari has such a beautiful way of showing the power of adoration/devotion within friendships/relationships and they just have such a strong GRASP on the characterizations of suguru depending on the vibes of the fic they’re creating. this fic especially talked about genuine feelings that people in their late teens/early twenties go through and idk i just felt so much better after reading it :’) all of ari’s writing invokes something in anyone who reads it, they truly have THE midas touch! <3 also i could add so many more fics underneath the fluff/sfw category but i highly recommend going through their masterlist and finding out for yourself how consistently amazing, thought-provoking, & gorgeously atmospheric their writing is! <333 definitely my favorite suguru writer on the planet 🫡 like genuinely just go through their entire MASTERLIST it’s ALL hits 🙂‍↕️

“metanoia” by @storiesoflilies — RAHHHHHHH okay for metanoia……….. if you have EVER read a lily fic you will KNOW how stunning her writing is. like you can’t help but just be so INVESTED especially because her love for toji shines through every word, you see the way reader talks about toji and fall in love with him AS you’re reading!!!! i think her grasp on his character is second to none in this fic especially for a younger toji — he’s shy & awkward & rough around the edges but at the end of the day, i think all he wants is love and reader is there to give it to him and vice versa :’) the beautiful ways that lily interspersed physics and romance………. when i tell you my JAW dropped. the quotes in this fic will have your mind reeling from how insanely good it is omfg… and YES the ending is a cliffhanger BUT she’s coming out with “hiraeth” soon and i was lucky enough to read it in advance and let me tell you………. you are in for a TREAT! ALSO PLEASE READ “CRIMSON REVERIE” IT’S REALLY AMAZING AND SO GORGEOUS <333 i love greek myth and then intersperse that with lily’s prose??? YAWPPPPPP

“i want to kiss you” by @arminsumi — okay i wanted to add this bc it is my favorite fic series of all time and i’ll tell you why… the absolute LOVE and ADORATION that satoru & suguru have for reader is astounding and the idea of a blossoming friendship between people from different cultures is so fucking precious… i genuinely have never read a fic w this premise/concept before and it is truly SO unbelievably beautiful :’) op does a WONDERFUL job of creating a soft, HUMAN atmosphere/friendship -> relationship between reader & satosugu :’) i can’t WAIT to read the next chapter hehe i truly recommend this fic series with every fiber of my being <333

roose bolton. the head of house bolton, lord of the dreadfort, lord of leeches & warden of the north. cold, cunning, remorseless & implacable, lord roose murdered robb stark the king in the north at the red wedding & plays with the minds of men & it's rumored that the leeches sucked all the passion, love, hate & grief long ago.

ramsay bolton. the bastard of bolton, the bastard of the dreadfort of lord roose's brood, he was born as ramsay snow & is highly resentful of his baseborn status yet considers himself a bolton & refers to himself proudly as the trueborn scion of house bolton & violently corrects those who refer to him otherwise. cruel, cunning, sly, greedy, vicious & a skilled manipulator, ramsay takes delight in torturing others, fond of the ancient custom of house bolton of flaying their enemies alive. has a group of men-at-arms that are just as depraved as ramsay called the bastard's boys & keeps a pack of female hunting hounds & a steed called blood.

barbrey dustin. ruling lady of barrowton, lady barbrey, while cunning, has grown into a bitter woman over the years, particularly with the starks. dresses all in black without gold or jewelry. she is distrustful of the maesters & refers to them as grey rats. was infatuated with lord brandon stark, the eldest son of lord rickard stark, she had an affair with him who took her maidenhead. one of the conspirators of the northern restoration in stark hands.

mors "crowfood" umber. mors umber, known as mors crowfood, is a member of house umber, the uncle of lord greatjon umber, and the joint castellan of last hearth with his younger brother, hother. Whilst sleeping by the side of a road, a crow had taken mors for dead and so it pecked out his eye. according to old nan, he grabbed the raven at its feet and bit its head off, earning him the nickname crowfood. his wife died in childbirth, his sons were killed during the battle of the trident in robert's rebellion and his only daughter was abducted in 270 AC by wildlings, leaving mors with a deep hatred of the free folk. mors is an old man, huge and powerful, with a ruddy face and a shaggy white beard. he wears a chunk of dragonglass in place of a lost eye or conceals the empty socket with a stained white leather eye patch. he wears a cloak made of a snow bear with its head as a hood. he helps stannis baratheon fight the boltons to retake winterfell, saving theon greyjoy & jeyne poole's lives in the process & is entirely aware that jeyne poole is not arya stark.

jeyne poole. a member of house poole, jeyne is the daughter of the steward of winterfell, vayon poole, and is the best friend of sansa stark. tragically, she is taken, trafficked and sold by petyr baelish to house bolton as a fake arya stark to support the bolton claim to winterfell and the north and endures unspeakable abuse and torture. with the help of theon greyjoy, they escape winterfell. stannis baratheon decides to send her to the wall to reunite with jon snow, tasking ser justin massey to bring jeyne to castle black with an escort of six men along with alysane mormont.

wyman manderly. the Lord of white harbor & the head of house manderly, warden of the white knife, shield of the faith, defender of the dispossessed, lord marshal of the mander, knight of the order of the green hand & a widower for the past eight years, wyman has two adult sons, ser wylis and ser wendel manderly, wyman is nearly sixty years old, is amiable and has a loud, booming laugh. he is mocked by his own people as lord lamprey, by his on admission and because of his physical appearance, wyman is seen by many as craven and foolish. this is a clever front, however, as wyman is shrewd, calculating and intelligent, and is staunchly loyal to house stark. one of the conspirators of the northern restoration in stark hands.

wylla manderly. one of lord wyman manderly's granddaughters, she dyes her hair a garish green & wears it in a braid, she has a thin high voice & is very brave. wylla reminded her grandfather & the lords of the north to remember their vows to king robb stark & goes on to tell of the promises of loyalty house manderly made to house stark when they were exiled from the reach centuries ago, in front of the freys.

howland reed. the lord of greywater watch & the head of house reed, holding dominion over the crannogmen of the neck. howland's children with his wife, jyana, are meera and jojen. howland reed is a close friend of lord eddard stark of winterfell & is one of the very few people living who know of jon snow's true heritage.

meera reed. lord howland reed's daughter, eldest child & heir of greywater watch, she is a fine hunter & fisher & was taught to fight with net & spear. meera was one of the few who escorted bran stark & his companions beyond the wall.

alysane mormont. known as aly & the she-bear, alysane is the second daughter of lady maege mormont, lady of bear island & is considered the heir to bear island after the murder of her elder sister dacey mormont during the red wedding. unwed, she is in her mid-twenties and has two children, the eldest a daughter of nine and the youngest a son of two. she joins king stannis baratheon's armies for the march on winterfell as a female warrior & shieldmaiden & is assigned as asha greyjoy's guard later promoted to "arya stark" (actually jeyne poole)'s companion to castle black.

sybelle glover. originally from house locke, sybelle glover is the wife of robett glover & the mother of gawen & erena glover & in the absence of the brothers galbart & robett, lady sybelle is the lady of deepwood motte; sybelle glover is a pious woman who often prays in deepwood motte's godwood. sybelle and her children are captured when deepwood is taken by the ironborn, where they are kept captive, until asha greyjoy brings sybelle and her children to ten towers on harlaw and then she returns to deepwood with asha, with her children remaining at ten towers with the harlaws. she is freed when the army of king stannis baratheon retakes deepwood motte and sends many glover men with king stannis to march on winterfell, including guides, trackers and hunters, ransoming six ironborn prisoners to tycho nestoris; lady sybelle glover is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with & has an incredibly sharp mind.

alys karstark. a noblewoman of house karstark, she is the only daughter of rickard karstark, lord of karhold. her betrothed, daryn hornwood & two of her brothers, eddard & torrhen karstark, are killed at the battle in the whispering wood by ser jaime lannister. called a grey girl on a dying horse, riding to the wall to escape an arranged marriage, to avoid marrying her great uncle arnolf karstark, alys flees her cousin cregan karstark and seeks aid from jon snow at the wall. jon instead arranges for alys to marry signorn, magnar of thenn, thus creating a new noble northern-free folk house that would claim karhold should her brother harrion karstark perish.

lyanna mormont. the youngest daughter of lady maege mormont on bear island, she was named after lady lyanna stark & is fiercely loyal to house stark. when king stannis baratheon sends out letters demanding the northern lords bend the knee to him, it is lyanna who at only ten years, as lady of bear island, sends back a reply refuting his claim saying that house mormont will bend no knee unless it is to a stark.

wynafryd manderly. one of lord wyman manderly's granddaughters. as part of the terms of white harbor being pardoned and returning to the king's peace of tommen i baratheon, wynafryd is betrothed to the widowed rhaegar frey. when lord davos seaworth visits the merman's court, wylla proclaims that the freys killed lord eddard, lady catelyn, and king robb, and that house manderly should join stannis baratheon in the name of vengeance. wynafryd refers to her sister's exclamation as a child's foolishness. wynafryd pretends to be pleased with her betrothal to rhaegar. after faking the execution of davos and releasing him from imprisonment in the wolf's den, her scheming grandfather, lord wyman manderly, informs davos he had already revealed his plans to wynafryd and she knows the marriage will never take place. wynafryd's betrothal ends with the suspected death of rhaegar on his way to winterfell.

donella hornwood. the lady of hornwood, wife of lord halys hornwood and mother of daryn hornwood, originally from house manderly, she is a cousin of wyman manderly, lord of white harbor. on her return to hornwood from the harvest feast at winterfell, lady donella is seized by ramsay snow and forcibly married to him that night. lord manderly then seizes her castle to protect her holdings from the boltons. after the wedding, ramsay locks her in a tower and fails to feed her. she is eventually found dead, with blood around her mouth and her fingers chewed off. ramsay's actions leads to fighting in the hornwood between the boltons and the manderlys.

dacey mormont. the heir of house mormont, she is the daughter of lady maege mormont, lady of bear island, and the niece of jeor mormont, lord commander of the night's watch. at an age where girls would receive dolls, she was given a morningstar. she was a lanky woman who finds herself at ease in a lady's garb or leather armor, dacey was elegant in dress and dance. she was murdered at the red wedding.

jonelle cerwyn. daughter of medger cerwyn & sister of cley cerwyn, jonelle accompanied her father to winterfell until he went south to fight for king robb stark. after the deaths of her father & brother, jonelle has become the lady of castle cerwyn.

maege mormont. lady of bear island & head of house mormont, she inherited the title from her exiled nephew jorah mormont & the younger sister of jeor mormont, lord commander of the night's watch. stubborn, short-temptered and willful, she is dedicated to the old gods, and loyal to house stark. she has five daughters: her eldest and heir, dacey; and alysane, lyra, jorelle, and lyanna; she has no sons. no one knows who the father of maege's children is, or even if she ever married. there are rumors that she beds with a bear; her daughter, alysane, smilingly shares the same rumor, claiming that mormont women are skinchangers who turn into bears and find mates in the woods. nonetheless, all of maege's daughters carry the surname "mormont", and none appear to be considered bastards. it is possible that maege's husband came from a family of lower nobility than the mormonts, or no nobility at all, in which case a woman can prefer to retain her own surname for herself and for her children. rumored to be in the neck with howland reed & is aware of robb stark's will to crown jon snow as his heir & king of the north & possibly aware of jon snow's true heritage.

mance rayder. once a man of the night's watch before breaking his vows and abandoning his post. he has since become extremely influential among the free folk, and is called the "king-beyond-the-wall".

eddara tallhart. a girl of almost ten years old, eddara becomes the head of her house after the successive deaths of her older brother benfred at stony shore & of her father helman at the battle of duskendale. currently she is held captive by the ironmen at torrhen's square.

lyessa flint. lady of widow's watch, lady lyessa rules the most powerful branch of the extended flint family, mother of robin flint, one of robb stark's most trusted commanders. she excuses herself for not attending the harvest feast of winterfell given her advanced state of pregnancy and because widow's watch is at that time affected by a sickness.
