he   doesn’t   see   the   attack   .   godlike   he   might   be   –   a   false   godhood   he   accepts   out   of   necessity   –   but   he’s   not   omnipotent   .   still   ,   it   doesn’t   matter   .   stab   him   .   crush   him   .   make   him   overdose   on   drugs   .   his   heart   continues   to   beat   precious   blood   through   his   body   .   his   limbs   continue   to   work   .   his   heart   &.   soul   continues   to   exist   .   it   doesn’t   matter   .   so   ,   why   do   people   put   themselves   in   harm’s   way   for   him   ,   a   monster   ,   a   ghoul   that   not   even   the   grim   reaper   can   take   ?

confusion   overwhelms   battle   lust   as   he’s   driven   to   the   ground   by   an   unknown   force   at   his   back   .   he   expects   pain   ,   agony   —   anything   to   prove   he’s   been   careless   .   the   usual   .   what   he   doesn’t   expect   is   nothing   at   all   beyond   the   slight   twang   as   his   knees   crack   against   asphalt   .   it’s   easily   ignored   as   he   peers   upwards   .

yu   doesn’t   expect   the   sight   of   narumi   standing   over   him   ,   pushing   back   against   a   blade   of   a   vampire   ,   protecting   the   one   person     (  can   he   even   be   counted   as   a   ‘ person ’   anymore   ?  )      that   never   needs   protection   .   feet   quickly   find   their   purchase   against   the   cracked   &.   eroding   asphalt   ;   he   hauls   himself   to   his   feet   ,   muscles   aching   with   exhaustion   &.   his   heart   aching   with   something   not  quite   identifiable   .  

“   thanks   !   ”      he   forces   out   a  grudging   gratitude   for   the   young   man   despite   the   rush   of   discontent   he   feels   at   needing   to   be   protected   .   he   faces   away   from   narumi   to   guard   his   back   ,   reminding   himself   ,   as   always   ,   of   all   the   things   the   other   still   wants   out   of   life   to   steel   himself   against   another   attack   .   it   seems   endless   ;   in   a   rare   moment   of   respect   for   his   friend   (  &.   family   ,   regardless   of   what   narumi   might   say  )   ,   yuichiro   asks   loudly   ,      “  what   should   we   do   ?   i   don’t   see   anyone   else   anymore   !   ”

what   he   really   wants   to   know   is   if   the   young   man’s   been   hurt   because   of   him   .   ah  ,   &.   here   comes   the   guilt   .

            regret this? ah, how certain he is of that fact ; the lingering embers float around him, ashes of the seals [ what a feeble attempt ... two souls is far too much to hold ! ] fluttering to the ground around him. pallid tiers lift and curl in a snarl more animalistic than human, baring razor-edged incisors whilst once-obsidian hues bleed into a deep crimson. 

            the sign of the cross within those roiling seas of scarlet a promise of what is soon to be inflicted.

hues were downcasted , evidently in CONTEMPLATION. so many different things were CHANGING at any given moment , it'd seem missions would WHISK her away for weeks on end , never allowing herself to even LIVE like a human. though , that thought was LAUGHABLE , she threw out her humanity when she joined the ORDER after all , a soldier to fight in the name of GOD. still , this didn't mean she was LIFELESS of APATHETIC , mi kyong was only human. thinking back on her last HUGE mission , several things have changed within her BEING. her smiles weren't as VIBRANT and even her eyes , once filled to the brim with HOPE & OPTIMISM , seem to lose their light. of course , this was the life she CHOOSE. far too let to regret or change what has been done. whilst pondering , Renzou's precense isn't even once noticed , until BAM ! something grabs ahold of her shoulders , eyes flickering of someone who's WITNESS death first hand , eyes soon filling with BLOOD LUST , only to soften to see Renzou. Spotting his signature smile & grin , ' sorry , sorry ! you were spacing out and I couldn't help myself ! ' he says. once , she registers it was only a prank , a sigh escapes her lips. then flicking his forehead , giggling at his wonderous reaction. then , mi kyong remembers , why she CHOOSE the life that she did. to protect smiles like RENZOU. wrapping her arms around him && giving him a rather tight squeeze , feeling his body jolt in surprise , only amuses her more. ❛ what am I going to do with you ? ❜ despite the lightness in her tone , more than RENZOU realizes , he's one of the very reasons mi kyong remains sane to this very day. all thanks to him , she doesn't mind having to put her mind & body on the front lines. // @moondied

                    he’s   grateful   for   these   moments   of   downtime   as   they   present   a   rare   moment   to   see   those   guren   counts   as   ‘  friend  ’   in   a   relatively    peaceful   manner   .   more   importantly   ,   it   gives   him   a   chance   to   ease   that   constant   ,   jarring   ache   of   being   away   from   his   family   ,   even   just   for   a   few   hours   .   obsessed   ,   some   might   call   him   ;   they   wouldn’t   be   wrong      --- but   would   anyone   blame   him   ,   a   youth   who’s   tasted   tragedy   early   in   life   ,   a   child   who’s   lived   with   loneliness   deep   in   his   marrow   for   as   long   as   he   could   remember   ,   a   boy   who’s   only   just   recently   rediscovered   how   to   smile   ?   &   smile   he  does   ,   as   he   departs   from   the   group   of   adults   at   a   brisk   pace   that   gives   away   his   eagerness   to   see   everyone   .

                      yuichiro   slows   as   he   comes   near   a   man   he’s   had   little   interaction   outside   of   certain   circumstances   .   memories   of   nagoya   flutter   through   his   mind   ,   brief   snapshots   of   events   he   wishes   to   forget   ,   until   they   settle   on   the   most   humiliating   of   them   all   .   a   grimace   gathers   at   the   corners   of   his   lips   .   his   lean   ,   if   youthful   ,   frame   curls   inward   a   little   .   shinoa’s   punishment   remains   a   stain   of   embarrassment   for   him   &   it   colors   any   interest   he   has   in   learning   about   one   of   guren’s   friends   in   a   poor   light   .    a   sigh   traces   a   soft   line   from   his   lips   &   he   mutters   thoughtlessly   ,          “   you’re   not   gonna   do   anything   weird   with   my   body   again   ,   are   you   ?   ”

                       when   will   he   start   thinking   before   he   speaks   ?   more   importantly   ,   when   will   he   realize   that   what   he   said   doesn’t   match   what  he   means   ?   as   clueless   as   ever   ,   he   stands   still   ,   a   catlike   curiosity   in   his   gaze   as   he   watches   goshi   .                    //   @moondied   ;   starter call !
