I'm feeling like the Bon Iver girlies are winning what with the new album coming out between our birthdays!!!

Speyside is beautiful, as always with his songs 🥺 I was so stoked when I had gotten the news that he would release new music this year. I think it was absolutely worth the wait- I mean I know he had features here and there, but to be able to hear his own work again, it was comforting and the overall vibe of this song brought back some good memories.

Imagine you're feeling sad, or having a bad day, and iii tries to cheer you up with a cosy night in. He knows how much you like to do makeovers, so he lets you do a pretty eyeliner and put ribbons or butterfly clips on his hair 🥺 Maybe he tries to do your makeup too and, it's awful. He tried his best! Yet you still end up looking like a clown. But it's okay because at least you're laughing and having fun 🥺

but like 🥺 putting your favorite lip color on him and he can’t help but plant a big smooch on your cheek, leaving a slightly smudged kiss print on your skin. he insists he can do better so you’re reapplying a fresh coat in between his attempts until your face is covered in colorful splotches and your face hurts from how wide you’re smiling.

he ultimately decided to go for quantity over quality, and you know you’re probably wasting the product but his sweet smile and giggles make it all worthwhile. he takes a photo of you covered in lipstick marks and it’s absolutely your new contact photo🥹💋

dont even get me started on him doing your makeup!!!! he’s just trying to make you smile, and he’s doing everything so carefully, trying to recall the many times he’s watched you do it yourself, but he’s consciously picking horrendous eyeshadow colors. he refuses to let you look, and when he reveals your face in the mirror, you burst out laughing because it just looks so bad.

he definitely pretends to be hurt, like “you don’t like it 🥺” but the sound of your laugh has his heart ready to explode in his chest. the only way you could possibly “cheer him up” is by peppering your own lipstick stained kisses all over his face.
