So! I started binding books back in my early uni days, and I was also very into printing and stamps and stuff. I don't have the Thing™ I wanted to show you, but I have this:

My uni notebook (bought), that I painted black and made the cover by painting an a5 paper with flowers and then using the that as a stamp. I used to make some floral prints with leaves / flowers / stems - I thought of you because fern leaves make really pretty prints 👀

(also here's my multi-coloured notebook - i added a coloured paper in each signature so it's an interesting visual AND very fun to work with)

That is a well-loved and good looking notebook! Using plants as a stamp is a lovely idea, I do have some ferns in my back garden that I can steal a little of

I'm feeling like the Bon Iver girlies are winning what with the new album coming out between our birthdays!!!

Speyside is beautiful, as always with his songs 🥺 I was so stoked when I had gotten the news that he would release new music this year. I think it was absolutely worth the wait- I mean I know he had features here and there, but to be able to hear his own work again, it was comforting and the overall vibe of this song brought back some good memories.

Hello???? A Brobecks documentary??????

Oh??? I had seen Dallon post the clip of the TV, but I didn't know what it was for. Considering that Matt Glass has become a renowned filmmaker (the man has been awarded two Emmy's!), this actually does make a lot of sense for them. This is definitely not the only documentary he's created before

I'm so glad that this Brobecks renaissance is happening. Who knows what the reason behind it is, whether it be 20 years since HNW released, "Better Than Me" going viral a few years back and renewing outside interest in the band, or Dallon wanting to reach out to bandmates he still had good relationships with. Maybe something else entirely. Whatever it is, it's just so lovely to see them all together again and having fun just creating, combining their different creative interests and passions for a project they loved
