🎣 Moomin x Reader 🌳

You and Moomin have known each other seemingly since birth. You've been living in the same house with them since your parents died and Moominpappa, who was an old friend of your parents, took you into their family. You looked like a wild kitten. You had sharp teeth, a tail, and wild eyes. In the dark, your eyes glowed like a wild cat's, and therefore sometimes his parents were scared if they did not sleep well at night. You were kind and playful, but your eyes really seemed mesmerizing even when Moomin got older

You continued to live with his family and quite often you played together. You were the best at hide-and-seek because of your nose, so you stopped looking and started hiding. It was much more fun for you. You and Moomin often went to the forest together to pick berries or mushrooms. He enjoyed spending time with you. You had a lot of secrets in common, you were what could be called a family

Sometimes Moomin looked into your eyes. He had never seen anyone with similar eyes, as if you were not of this world, but rather a mysterious spirit that descended from the pages of his father's memoirs. This feeling was intensified when you ran away into the woods at night, in secret from his parents. He saw how your eyes glittered in the moonlight, reminding him of precious stones

Moomin knew that some who didn't know you well were afraid of you. They thought you could be dangerous based on your looks alone, but that wasn't the case and Moomin knew that better than anyone else. He knew how kind and affectionate you could be and he was sure that even when you were the same age as his parents, you would still be as close as you are now

🌱 Snufkin x Reader ⛺️

You and Snufkin met at Moominvalley. You've lived there practically all your life. The first time you met him, you were sitting in the tall grass, watching him, as if trying to figure out what he was like. He saw your eyes, which were like the eyes of a wildcat. Moomin told him that you were his friend and had lived in Moominvalley for a long time, but when strangers came, you always watched them with more curiosity than you could accidentally scare them, but not him

When you began to communicate more, you began to keep him company while fishing. You didn't bother him, but just sat next to him, carefully watching the water surface. Your tail was twitching from side to side and you were waiting for the same fish to appear out of the water. You didn't expect him to share it with you, you just liked watching the fishing, but Snufkin didn't mind sharing fried fish with you, which made you smile sincerely

It often happened that you were lying in the grass, curled up and closed your eyes, while Snufkin was playing his harmonica. He saw a soft smile on your lips, but no one was in a hurry to disturb your peace. You enjoyed this peaceful atmosphere that was around. You enjoyed a warm, pleasant day, relaxing from all problems and affairs

Snufkin enjoyed spending time with you. Every time he left in winter, you stayed in the valley and waited for him to return. In early spring, when he returned, you greeted him with a sincere smile after a long separation. There was no hibernation for you, so you waited for spring to come, everyone would wake up and Snufkin would return. At some point, he himself began to wait for your next meeting. He was waiting for the moment when he could see your wild eyes again

How do I request a fic?

If you're interested in requesting a fic, all you have to do is message me your actual fic request, be it a detailed outline or something vague like tone or ship or tropes, and then after I've confirmed I can do it donate to one of these vetted fundraisers for individuals and families, or one of these vetted fundraisers, then send me an ask or message with a screenshot of your donation (with any sensitive or personal information blocked out of course)!

The word count of the fic will be based on how much you donate, with a rate of 1$ for roughly every 100 words (for example, if you donate 5$ to a fundraiser, you'll get a fic that's roughly 500 words, and if you donate 10$, you'll get roughly 1000 words.). I'm not going to cut off a fic early if it goes a bit over, but the fic will be about however many 100 words you donate.

Please let me know what type of fic you want before you donate. This allows me to talk to you about your ideas, allows us to agree on a rough word count, and allows me to check my availability so I don't get overloaded with work. If I can't take a request due to my own lack of time, or a fic idea needs a minimum length to work, I'd much much rather figure that out before you spend any money.

Obviously don't request anything intentionally bigoted or hateful, but aside from that, anything goes! I'm a very open-minded person, and as a lover of all things horror and all things erotica there are no subjects too kinky or macabre for me to write about. I saw your Snufkin boyfriend headcanons and I want to know your take. What would cuddles and sleepy cuddles be like with him? Gender Neutral s/o

Some sleepy cuddly boy coming right up! I combined these asks because they’re pretty similar in content

Ok so, I, much like the rest of the fandom, see Snufkin as very feline in nature

He curls around you with his head on either your stomach or your chest bc squishy and warm

If you’re cuddling with Snufkin, he trusts you a lot, so baby is gonna be extra sweet when he’s sleepy

THIS! MAN! PURS!

He purrs and it's absolutely adorable

Point it out and he will deny it with a passion

Snufkin rarely initiates cuddles, and its usually in the morning when he’s tired and isn’t ready to be awake yet

He takes off his outer layers and his hat to cuddle, so you get the see the rare sight of Snufkin’s hair and shirt

In my heart and in my would Snufkin’s paws and fuzzy and got toe beans, but please be kind to them because they’re very sensitive! He does not appreciate tickles and will mope if you pester him too much

Sleepy Snufkin is a lot needier than well-rested Snufkin, so just hold him until he falls asleep and all will be right in the world

A lot of cuddles with Snufkin is just enjoying each other’s company instead of actively engaging with each other

Cuddles with Sufkin are... so warm. He likes to lay in the sun, so you’re laying in the sun with him

Overall, very good to cuddle with while the sun is just rising in the mornings. Very soft and warm.

[These are x Reader-- This one is just some random scene, it isn’t very good. I haven’t written in a while, so I’ve definitely lost my edge. Oh well.]

In truth, whilst meaning well for the most part, you’d be much more trouble than any of the Moomins or My would have anticipated when you were new to the valley. 

A soft, subtle presence and agreeably mannered had made you seem quite the company, at least at first. Though there was a certain unpredictability to you, just like the weather. Suddenly a sunny day had come forth clouds from the horizon to bring about violent wild storms to cloud your clear conscience, and in such times you could go from very calm to exponentially worse than any rain or cold outside. 

Floating about in streams fully clothed, climbing up trees and sleeping in them, digging up holes when no explanation seemed to perfectly fit to your correction, that no, you had a thought behind it, you could go from well kempt and civilized to a wild thing, the kind that slept in burrows and crept up on the smaller kinds of creatures for the sake of ill fated entertainment. 

You were meant to be amongst the grass, the falling leaves, the dirt and open air. Why, anyone could see that plainly, despite how convincing your charade of cleanly manners and a well sounding disposition. Whence you came from never left you, you were part of nature just as it were part of you. 

Thus, things became much more intriguing at the introduction of the traveler, the man of a quiet presence himself, and agreeable manners. You had met yourselves at dinnertime, as he had come to the valley at the approach of spring, and you had come in time for supper. 

He looked to you as you looked to him, and Moomin Mamma sought to introduce you before Moomintroll came down and stole away Snufkin’s attention. 

“Snufkin dear, this is our friend. I hope the two of you will get along nicely, and that doesn’t mean in the mud nor in any other dirt, I say.” That second bit was definitely directed at you, though you paid it little mind and kept your focus to the knotted thread tablecloth. 

“My my, a new friend you say?” “Yes that’s right.” What a fun textile it was, the knotted coarse threads of a handmade tablecloth. 

“Well, I do say that is quite interesting.” Moomin Pappa chimed as he neared round from the stairs, a hand over the wooden rail. “I would have thought you both to have gotten along swimmingly by now, but it seems you’ve gone shy on us.” You shot your head up to look at him, wanting to inquire just what he was insinuating, yet he kept to his bemused smile and brought a pipe to his lip. 

“Ah, please Pappa, no smoking in the house! You’ll yellow up the walls!” Mamma chided him, leaving the two of you to sit in the presence of one another without either of the Moomins’ attention.  

“So you’re new to the valley. What brings you here?”

You looked up from your nail scratching at the tablecloth once again, to meet his unthreatening eyes. 

“...I haven’t a story short or simple enough to say, but I have come to stay, for now.” 

“Hmm.” He seemed intrigued. “But a story you must have, I wonder what kind of story.” 

You tried to keep your focus away from his face, and noted that the breeze from the window was quite nice, and the new maize colored curtains were pleasant to view through the light of the sun. 

“Yes, yes. It’s a story of mystery, my boy!” Pappa neared ‘round again, taking his seat at the head of the table. “It was quite the surprise, to find someone in the middle of a blizzard, when most of us would be asleep!”

“What were you doing out in a storm then? I thought Moomins could hardly stand the cold.” 

Pappa gave a hearty laugh. “Oh, I wasn’t! This one here came knocking on our door, and Mamma was the one who answered!”

“That I did,” Said she, “--and I found standing there a well dressed youngling with what seemed to be a trail of footsteps that started abruptly from nowhere!”

“Had they been swept away by the snow?” He leaned forward, propping his chin on his fist. 

“No, not at all! The air was quite still in the moment you stood in the door, wasn’t that right?” She looked to you for confirmation, and you nodded. “Unfortunately, not everything makes a whole lot of sense. So you may choose not to believe me, but it is true what she says.” 

“Hmm. A real mystery then. Say, you aren’t a criminal, are you?”

“Goodness no.” You shook your head, mortified. “I wasn’t running from the law if that’s what you mean!” He chucked at you, and shook his head. The sound was pleasant somehow, though it made you uncomfortable to think that you were speaking so freely with someone you had hardly known. 

“Pity. I wouldn’t have minded if you had. Though that hardly narrows down what you were doing there in that storm, nor can I make any sense of you just appearing out of thin air.” 

“Well, I suppose a story for another time.” You returned to your task of feeling up the tablecloth, though he seemed to want more from you than that. Pappa nodded though. “You’ll have plenty of time to tell us all later. Perhaps in front of a fire?” He suggested. 

“Mmm....Perhaps.”

🌱 Snufkin x Reader Oneshot Dance under the moon ⛺️

Snufkin liked to play his harmonica. Sometimes even at night you could hear the melodies he was playing. And at night, when the stars were shining in the sky and the full moon was visible, he decided to play the melody again. He was admiring the night sky and playing the harmonica when he heard someone humming the melody he was playing. Looking at where the sound was coming from, he saw you. You lived in Moominvalley and sometimes you came to the house where the Moomin family lived. You smiled, exposing your face to the moonlight, humming the melody that he played and danced. You danced in the light of the moon, like a fairy or a spirit from ancient legends that he had heard in distant lands. He felt his soul become light and calm. He liked you for a long time. You always seemed as free as the wind. As soon as a fair wind blew, you left the valley and went on a journey. You came back as unexpectedly as you left, bringing with you various little things from distant places and with them different stories. In this you were similar. However, unlike him, you left and came regardless of the time of year. You just wanted to travel, but then you also wanted to go home. And now you were back in the valley and dancing to the music he was playing. He was watching you, watching how relaxed you were, as if that was your element. You smiled at him as soon as you noticed him and continued to dance. You kept dancing and Snufkin kept playing his harmonica. He didn't know how long you'd be in the valley, but he wouldn't mind spending the time you'd be staying in the valley with you.

You and Moomin have been together since his birth. You were his sibling and were a few years older than him. When he was just born, you spent a lot of time with him, helping your mom take care of him. You were genuinely happy that you had a younger brother and you were ready to take care of him and protect him if the need arose

When he got a little older, you played with him a lot and walked with him in the valley. Moomin was genuinely happy to spend time with you, because he knew that while he was with you, he could not be afraid to go into the deep thickets of the forest. When he started spending time with friends, you began to stay at home more often and help your parents or do your own business, but you were still ready to spend time with your younger brother

Moomin could not always share something with his parents or friends, but he knew that he could always come to you and talk to you. You were always ready to listen to him, give him advice or help in another way. Moomin was glad that he had sibling to whom he could turn for help even if it was necessary to hide something from your parents

Sometimes he thought about what would happen when you got older. He didn't know if you would decide to stay in the valley or if you, like Snufkin, would decide to go on a trip to distant lands. He understood that he would miss you if you left, but he wouldn't stop you. He loved you and wanted you to be happy and if your happiness was to go on a trip, he would support you in this

Every time Moomin went out to play with friends, he knew that his parents and his sibling would always be waiting for him at home. His family, who were always waiting for him and who were ready to surround him with warmth and care

Everyone at Moominvalley knew that Snorkmaiden and you were best friends. You spent a lot of time together, walking along the valley, on the beach, arranging gatherings together at her house and finding a huge number of things that you could do together. When you were together, you found a huge amount of activities and never got bored

You often had picnics on the beach and collected shells there. You often made cute decorations out of them, which always found places in the houses of the inhabitants of Moominvalley. Snorkmaiden liked that you turned even the most ordinary things into beautiful things. You enjoyed the cool wind together, which contrasted well with the warm sun that warmed you

You often shared secrets with each other. There were things that Snorkmaiden couldn't tell her brother, or Moomin, or anyone else. She knew that you would never condemn her, would not betray her secrets, and was always happy to help her with advice. She told you about everything that bothered her and was always ready to listen to you, because she understood that you also had things that you wanted to share with her

She sometimes complained to you about Moomin. Every time he preferred to go on an adventure with Snufkin, she told you about how he always chose to spend time with him and not with her. You understood that she sometimes exaggerated, but you also understood her discontent. You knew that Snorkmaiden really liked Moomin, and the fact that he didn't spend as much time with her as she wanted upset her

Snorkmaiden was sincerely glad that you were her best friend. She knew that she could always rely on you, that you were always there for her and that you were always ready to come to her rescue. She couldn't have dreamed of a better friend than you

I am just a fool, and I'm still only on ep. 21 of 90s Moominvalley, so I'll only be doing Snufkin and Moomin whoops. Maybe one day I'll finish the series... one day...I tried to make both of them have similar lengths, but honestly, I got really into Snufkin's... I might have to write a fic with this as a base.

Ooooooooooh boy

Snufkin is not the kind of man to fall hard and fast, he's more of a softly over a long period of time sort of guy

But when he saw you committing illegal acts out and about, doing something he was just about to do he got a little infatuated

You're new to Moominvalley, which would explain why he's never seen you before

So as any sane person with a bit of a crush would do, he begins following you around

Watching you and watching what you do

He falls in love from afar long before he even approaches you

When Moomin invites you over for tea without telling Snufkin and he waltzes in, ready to tell Moomin about the vigilante justice he committed last night and you're there, he freezes

Moomin introduces the two of you, utterly unaware of Snufkin's one-sided affections towards you

Snufkin tips his hat and offers you a hand, covering the blush that adorns his cheeks

You just smile and shake his hand before Snufkin has to excuse himself by saying something about fishing and practically running out the door

The next time Snufkin actually talks to you you're the one to approach him

You find him playing his harmonica on a secluded hill on the outskirts of Moominvalley and decide to sit down next to him and start up a conversation

The two of you get on like a house fire, quickly shifting the conversation from his music to what you've been doing around Moominvalley

You match his theatrics quite well, throwing every one of his quips back at him

Eventually, the fact that Snufkin packs up and leaves every winter comes up, but you don't seem upset at all. You understand his need for space and solitude, and happily tell him that you wouldn't mind waiting all winter to see him again

That gets this man's heart GOING

You understand how personal his winter journeys are to him, and admit to having the same need for solitude every now and again

Snufkin finds himself becoming unable to become tired of your presence, but maybe that's because you always seem to move on once he's met his daily social limit

Finally, winter rolls around.

You're not there to bid him farewell with the rest of the Moomin family, and he can't help but feel a twinge of pain in his chest

He leaves, walking to the edge of Moominvalley, where he sees you, standing, bundled up, and cheeks flushed because of the cold weather. (cue actual writing bc I'm way too into this)

"Hello, (y/n)," he greets, slowly coming to a halt in front of you.

"Hello, Snufkin." You smile. "...I wanted to see you off, but I'm truly at a loss at what to say. I got your letter."

"Ah..." Snufkin had hoped you wouldn't find it until after he was gone.

"Well," he says. "If you're willing to wait, I'd love to spend more time with you in the spring. If you'll let me."

You smile. "I would love to spend more time with you. Try not to feel you too lonely when you're out there on your own."

At this, Snufkin smiles back. "I will certainly try."

Moomin

Moomin, unlike Snufkin, is a big softie and shows it

You come to stay in the moomin house while you get situated into Moominvalley, and Moomin get a little feeling in his chest the first time he sees you

You're just so polite and kind! What's not to like?

Because you're staying in the moomin house, Moomin his ample time to get to know you, and you him

You meet all his friends, including Snufkin, who, while a little weird, seems to like you enough for Moomin to be overjoyed

Moomin brings you little gifts, too. Just things he thought were pretty or would look beautiful in your new house

He's a little sad to see you leave the moomin house and move into your own, but he knows you're happy with a place of your own

And that also means that he can stop by whenever, and the two of you can have some privacy from the prying eyes of Little My

You only notice on an autumn afternoon

You had just woken up from one of your afternoon naps, cuddled together for warmth from the chill fall air

Moomin is soft and warm, and frankly smells like roses, and you've never been happier

Moomin is awake too and gently places a kiss on your hand, which makes you grin and press your face into his chest to hide your blush

And then you realize that you're probably in love with Moomin, and he's in love with you

Which is funny, because Moomin seems to realize the same thing at that moment too, so he stutters out your name

He tells you how he's felt deeply for you ever since you came to Moomin valley, and how happy you make him

He looks so cute, twirling his tail around nervously and not meeting your eyes, so you grab his cheeks and tell him that you care deeply for him too, and you'd be happy to properly start a relationship with him

Moomin is so happy he tackles you to the floor, knocking you off of the couch and the warm blankets you were bundled in

You never properly tell anyone that you're in a relationship, but it's not hard to tell

The moomin family loves you already so like, you don't even have to worry about that

Snufkin makes fun of Moomin by telling you about all the times Moomin has gushed about you to him, which makes Moomin scream because that was supposed to be private, Snufkin!!

He’s a bit of a strong believer of not attaching himself too much to people, so that fact that he's making an actual tie with you means a  l o t

However!! When he is around most of his “solitude” will be spent with you, basking in your presence while playing the harmonica or fishing or something equally as chill

Snufkin would probably bring you to some of the places he thinks are nice that he finds when he travels

Snufkin would be endearing in the sense that he cares a lot in his own way

He’ll bring you random trinkets he claims he doesn’t want

He notices when you seem a little off (bc I hc that he’s detail-oriented)

He tries really hard, but he struggles a bit with intimacy

I don’t know much about his family life, but going off the fact that we  know next to nothing about him I’d say he has some trust issues

And he’d probably be a little hesitant to let you in at first

((I feel it is important to state that he will have random spouts of softness where he feels extra cuddly, especially if he’s injured or feels a lil sick))

Most likely you’ll have to wait until the two of you have a strong and well-defined relationship before you start getting into anything personal

Yes, yes poly relationships are definitely okay!! I don’t think they’re weird or anything so feel free to request them.

● First of all, Moomin is your go to cuddle guy

● He’s so soft and warm

● Who doesn’t want to cuddle him?

● It takes Snufkin a little while to come around to you and showing you a lot of affection, so you may not get as many cuddles from him as Moomin does

● Tbh you may even feel a little left out in the relationship bc of this but Moomin tires really hard to make sure you don’t feel this way

● You probably will need to bring it up to Snufkin if you want it resolved though

● He’s dumb and thinks he can take all the time in the world offering you the affections he already freely supplies to Moomin

● And that can’t fly in a good healthy relationship
