Some sleepy cuddly boy coming right up! I combined these asks because they’re pretty similar in content

Ok so, I, much like the rest of the fandom, see Snufkin as very feline in nature

He curls around you with his head on either your stomach or your chest bc squishy and warm

If you’re cuddling with Snufkin, he trusts you a lot, so baby is gonna be extra sweet when he’s sleepy

THIS! MAN! PURS!

He purrs and it's absolutely adorable

Point it out and he will deny it with a passion

Snufkin rarely initiates cuddles, and its usually in the morning when he’s tired and isn’t ready to be awake yet

He takes off his outer layers and his hat to cuddle, so you get the see the rare sight of Snufkin’s hair and shirt

In my heart and in my would Snufkin’s paws and fuzzy and got toe beans, but please be kind to them because they’re very sensitive! He does not appreciate tickles and will mope if you pester him too much

Sleepy Snufkin is a lot needier than well-rested Snufkin, so just hold him until he falls asleep and all will be right in the world

A lot of cuddles with Snufkin is just enjoying each other’s company instead of actively engaging with each other

Cuddles with Sufkin are... so warm. He likes to lay in the sun, so you’re laying in the sun with him

Overall, very good to cuddle with while the sun is just rising in the mornings. Very soft and warm.

I’d kill someone for Snufkin from the moomins just SAYING guys I fucking love him. It frustrates me that the damn cartoon doesn’t like... acknowledge that Snufkin has like.. a Backstory like ??? He knows things and has like a following outside of Moomin Valey so what’sup, what’s good Snufkin

Snufkin, moomin, muddler, and joxter dealing hcs with love at first glance (neutral s/o gender wise) ? How they go about confessing their feelings ?? Sorry if this too many characters

I am just a fool, and I'm still only on ep. 21 of 90s Moominvalley, so I'll only be doing Snufkin and Moomin whoops. Maybe one day I'll finish the series... one day...I tried to make both of them have similar lengths, but honestly, I got really into Snufkin's... I might have to write a fic with this as a base.

Snufkin

Ooooooooooh boy

Snufkin is not the kind of man to fall hard and fast, he's more of a softly over a long period of time sort of guy

But when he saw you committing illegal acts out and about, doing something he was just about to do he got a little infatuated

You're new to Moominvalley, which would explain why he's never seen you before

So as any sane person with a bit of a crush would do, he begins following you around

Watching you and watching what you do

He falls in love from afar long before he even approaches you

When Moomin invites you over for tea without telling Snufkin and he waltzes in, ready to tell Moomin about the vigilante justice he committed last night and you're there, he freezes

Moomin introduces the two of you, utterly unaware of Snufkin's one-sided affections towards you

Snufkin tips his hat and offers you a hand, covering the blush that adorns his cheeks

You just smile and shake his hand before Snufkin has to excuse himself by saying something about fishing and practically running out the door

The next time Snufkin actually talks to you you're the one to approach him

You find him playing his harmonica on a secluded hill on the outskirts of Moominvalley and decide to sit down next to him and start up a conversation

The two of you get on like a house fire, quickly shifting the conversation from his music to what you've been doing around Moominvalley

You match his theatrics quite well, throwing every one of his quips back at him

Eventually, the fact that Snufkin packs up and leaves every winter comes up, but you don't seem upset at all. You understand his need for space and solitude, and happily tell him that you wouldn't mind waiting all winter to see him again

That gets this man's heart GOING

You understand how personal his winter journeys are to him, and admit to having the same need for solitude every now and again

Snufkin finds himself becoming unable to become tired of your presence, but maybe that's because you always seem to move on once he's met his daily social limit

Finally, winter rolls around.

You're not there to bid him farewell with the rest of the Moomin family, and he can't help but feel a twinge of pain in his chest

He leaves, walking to the edge of Moominvalley, where he sees you, standing, bundled up, and cheeks flushed because of the cold weather. (cue actual writing bc I'm way too into this)

"Hello, (y/n)," he greets, slowly coming to a halt in front of you.

"Hello, Snufkin." You smile. "...I wanted to see you off, but I'm truly at a loss at what to say. I got your letter."

"Ah..." Snufkin had hoped you wouldn't find it until after he was gone.

"Well," he says. "If you're willing to wait, I'd love to spend more time with you in the spring. If you'll let me."

You smile. "I would love to spend more time with you. Try not to feel you too lonely when you're out there on your own."

At this, Snufkin smiles back. "I will certainly try."

Moomin

Moomin, unlike Snufkin, is a big softie and shows it

You come to stay in the moomin house while you get situated into Moominvalley, and Moomin get a little feeling in his chest the first time he sees you

You're just so polite and kind! What's not to like?

Because you're staying in the moomin house, Moomin his ample time to get to know you, and you him

You meet all his friends, including Snufkin, who, while a little weird, seems to like you enough for Moomin to be overjoyed

Moomin brings you little gifts, too. Just things he thought were pretty or would look beautiful in your new house

He's a little sad to see you leave the moomin house and move into your own, but he knows you're happy with a place of your own

And that also means that he can stop by whenever, and the two of you can have some privacy from the prying eyes of Little My

He shows up regularly to tell you about whatever he has on his mind, show you one of his many trinkets, or to just seek a little quiet time away from his family, which everyone needs every once in a while

Moomin is just... entirely smitten, and he's not good at hiding it

But that's okay, because what's there not to love about Moomin?

Nothing. That's the answer.

Moomin is lovely, and spending time with him is amazing

It’s just so wholesome and warm and soft... uggg my hearttt

The two of you are stuck in a mutual pining situation for quite some time, to the point where the two of you enter a relationship without either of you noticing

You only notice on an autumn afternoon

You had just woken up from one of your afternoon naps, cuddled together for warmth from the chill fall air

Moomin is soft and warm, and frankly smells like roses, and you've never been happier

Moomin is awake too and gently places a kiss on your hand, which makes you grin and press your face into his chest to hide your blush

And then you realize that you're probably in love with Moomin, and he's in love with you

Which is funny, because Moomin seems to realize the same thing at that moment too, so he stutters out your name

He tells you how he's felt deeply for you ever since you came to Moomin valley, and how happy you make him

He looks so cute, twirling his tail around nervously and not meeting your eyes, so you grab his cheeks and tell him that you care deeply for him too, and you'd be happy to properly start a relationship with him

Moomin is so happy he tackles you to the floor, knocking you off of the couch and the warm blankets you were bundled in

You never properly tell anyone that you're in a relationship, but it's not hard to tell

The moomin family loves you already so like, you don't even have to worry about that

Snufkin makes fun of Moomin by telling you about all the times Moomin has gushed about you to him, which makes Moomin scream because that was supposed to be private, Snufkin!!

Very sweet, very warm, very good

You were watering your plants when you heard the soft rasping against your door. You glanced over just in time to see Snufkin step inside, eyes glancing around until he saw you.

He greeted you softly, which you returned. Snufkin wandered in after that, finding a home on the sunny part of your couch and stretching out.

“Back from your adventures so soon?” You ask, turning to Snufkin and placing a hand on your hip. ��What were you even up to?”

“Oh, you know, normal Moominvaley things.” Snufkin grinned, and the small sparkle in his eyes told you that he, in fact, did not do “normal Moominvalley things.”

“Mmhm,” you say, raising an eyebrow.

“Oh, come now,” Snufkin sighs lightheartedly. “I brought you some seeds if you’re interested.”

That caught your attention, even if he was avoiding your questions. “Seeds?”

“Yes! Last week, when you were hemming that jacket of yours, you had mentioned that you were looking for some variety in your flower gardens. Just your luck, it’s flower season!” Snufkin proudly presents your a small pouch, full of what you assume are seeds.

You grin and coo over Snufkin and his bag of seeds, smooching his cheeks and gently cradling the pouch. The two of you agree to plant them later in the week and sit down to have tea, accompanied with freshly baked biscuits. Snufkin smears and an ungodly amount of butter onto his, but he seems to like them anyway. While munching away, something catches Snufkin’s eye.

“Working on something new?” Snufkin asks, and you glance behind your shoulder at the half-finished painting in your studio.

You sigh, resting your cheek in your palm. “Was. I’m a little stuck right now, but it’ll come to me. Eventually.”

Snufkin hums. “You know, most people would think it a woman who has the sharpest eye in Moominvalley.”

“Oh?”

“Very much so, yes.” Snufkin smiles, cheekily. “But you and I know differently.”

Your cheeks flush when you realize his compliment. You can’t help the smile as you thank him.

Yes, yes poly relationships are definitely okay!! I don’t think they’re weird or anything so feel free to request them.

● First of all, Moomin is your go to cuddle guy

● He’s so soft and warm

● Who doesn’t want to cuddle him?

● It takes Snufkin a little while to come around to you and showing you a lot of affection, so you may not get as many cuddles from him as Moomin does

● Tbh you may even feel a little left out in the relationship bc of this but Moomin tires really hard to make sure you don’t feel this way

● You probably will need to bring it up to Snufkin if you want it resolved though

● He’s dumb and thinks he can take all the time in the world offering you the affections he already freely supplies to Moomin

● And that can’t fly in a good healthy relationship

● So anyway, after that kerfuffle is cleared up and Snufkin realizes how dumb he was being things are pretty much smooth sailing from there

● Snufkin still struggles sometimes so please be patient he’s trying

● Snufkin still leaves in the winter and he expects you guys to understand him and respect his need for space

● It’s hard but you and Moomin have each other

● So anyway

● I know what I said earlier but Snufkin is touch and go with affection

● Not just with you, Moomin too

● He’s just a little insecure

● But anyway, because of that fact, Moomin is the affection mitigator

● He makes sure Snufkin doesn’t get touch starved, and he makes sure you feel happy, warm, and loved 24/7

● It works out pretty well bc yall will be chillin on the Moomin household couch, with Moomin reading you a story out loud or something, and everybody’s favorite little gremlin will stick his head through the window

● Moomin makes him come in and join your little cuddle pile

● Now you have Snufkin laying on top of you, purring of course, while you play with his hair with Moomin reading to the two of you in the background

● Absolute perfection, I say

● Moomin tries really hard to pull his weight in the relationship

● It’s not as obvious for Snufkin but he tries too ((he let you into his tent a few time so--))

● Anyway,

● Moomin is a total sweetheart

● Moomin mama and Moomin papa and v v happy their baby boy found love in not one, but two lovely (albeit feral) people

● Little My is always trying to get the juicy bits out of you but tbh there’s nothing to share

● Moomin is too pure, Snufkin is too dumb

● That’s it

● That’s the entire relationship

● But really

● Moomin is the one to plan dates

● If Snufkin is off doing Snufkin things he’ll be happy with just the two of you, same goes for if you’re busy and it’s just him and Snufkin

● Snufkin will just waltz into whatever you’re doing in me like “come to the forest with me there’s a cool rock”
