AC: Me, personally, I would love to play in Montreal. You know, it's hard-- It takes a long time before you become a free agent, and you know, a lot of things come into play.

KR: For you, it's in a little while, right? Two years?

AC: Next year, next year.

KR: Oh shit! Wait, hold on man! We're going to have to cut this part, because now they're going to bug you about this all year, ok? You just said you want to come play in Montreal and you're becoming a free agent next year?

AC: ...Well, yes, but--

KR: We're going to edit out that part!

AC: Well a lot of factors come into play, obviously. But I think that when you're a Quebecois player, you know, take a guy like Phillip Danault, who had a great run in Montreal. That's a guy who works hard, who devotes himself to the team. I think that helps, and when you don't have a big salary, I think you get a little bit more of a leash as well.

KR: Alright, we're going to have to-- Chantal, don't listen to him. Chantal? She listens to all of the podcasts, Chantal. She's watching me.

9. Best month for you this year?

MAY!!! An amazing east coast trip to visit a friend and see Sleep Token and getting to wander Montreal!!!

18. A memorable meal this year?

On that trip my friend and I made crepes and that was really amazing! So was the milk bread and fish too that we made!!!

For going out together- one sushi place had the cat robot waiters and you pet its head to signal you’ve taken your food?!?!?

Outside of that trip… for Different reasons. Funeral dinner. I was the only one wearing a mask between bites bc who actually does that when dining indoors? (Me). (Me who had also just spent all of August sick. And didn’t get sick on my May trip by doing the same thing when dining indoors) Except this trip dad caught covid on and gave it to mum too sooooo. I feel like everything I do is justified. Vindication and all that I guess. (I’m so sick of being sick. I want to be well and live well I hope. ‘I want to want to live’ and all)

For good reasons though?

Sitting in the parking lot on a small mountain with takeout sushi on my own reminiscing on when I brought one of my friends there and we did the same thing. And at the beach.

Or just anytime getting sushi and shooting the shit with my sister or a friend.

20. What’s something you learned this year?

That I *can*

I can keep going. I can still create. I can still make my friends happy and see them. I can go on solo trips much farther than I ever pictured I would. I can get tattoos.

Also really trying to internalize Not Being So Fucking Precious About It and just creating it anyway. Major progress on that this semester and trying to maintain and progress further on that in my heart.
