Now that I've watched Hazbin Hotel SEVERAL TIMES and refreshed my memory a little with Monster Prom, I'm doing this quick parade of Headcanons for your entertainment.

Hazbin Hotel x Monster Prom idea part 2

Okay, we already know that Damian and Charlie would be cousins, but I also got to thinking that Charlie probably could have gone to the prom just like Damian! with her ex-boyfriend (which is still canon) and Damian definitely kicked his ass as soon as he found out they broke up😂

Dahlia Aquino and Charlie meet! Similarly to Damian, she probably wanted to have a rivalry with her for being the literal daughter of Lucifer, but upon seeing Charlie's "Disney" personality type she gave up pretty quickly (especially when she saw the big power difference there is between the Aquinos and the Morningstars).

Currently Dahlia and Charlie get along quite well! Dahlia thinks Charlie should stop being so nice and join in a little with the violence, but she'd be lying if she said she didn't like Charlie's pampering.

I can see Damian using "aggressive kindness" to get several souls from the eighth circle of hell to go to Charlie's hotel. Mr. and Mr. Lavey give Charlie more resources than Alastor does, such as personnel, resources, dissemination of the idea of the hotel, etc.

Let's be honest, Damian would be excited about the extermination being brought forward just so he can fight more exorcist angels. but he definitely makes it his personal goal to be admitted to heaven and hit Adam in the face (and other places). Dalia joins him.

(Damian definitely had no IDEA that Vaggie was a former exorcist, but he definitely thinks she's a lot more Badass now.)

OH HOLY SHIT IMAGINE THE FINAL BATTLE, Charlie not only has the support of the cannibals, but the support of the ENTIRE EIGHTH CIRCLE OF HELL, the angels would be considerably more screwed now. The Lavey lords give more angelic weapons and black magic, protection charms, Damian may even use contacts like Miranda to get her family to join the battle!

everything would be much more balanced between the demons and the angels, Damian and Dahlia are having a GREAT time killing angels left and right, Mr. and Mr. Lavey are having fun for the first time in YEARS and when they see Lucifer and Adam's fight it is even better!

Monster prom pride month: day 3!

Okay so. The scene in MonRoad where they talk about the possibility of Miranda marrying Damien and/or Dahlia in order to secure an alliance between the Merkingdom and Hell has me. Thinking.

Arranged marriage Miranda/Dahlia AU ahead!!!!

Sooooooooo first off the problem is that Miranda doesn’t like the idea of arranged marriages because they’re not fairytaleish enough and she only wants to marry for ~love~. And I kinda wanna make this a cliched corny Enemies To Lovers type thing because I think that’d be funnier and in the style of the game. But also Miranda’s sisters love her and would never push her into something she really didn’t want to do.

You could go dramatic with it but again I think it’d be more in-line with canon to just make it ridiculous and borderline non-sensical. So here’s my first draft: Miranda travels down to see her village again and when a peasant thrusts something at her she just signs it because she thinks they want an autograph because they obviously love her. But actually it is some kind of contract to do something, and also this is the 14th time this has happened, because Miranda always thinks that the village has fallen in love with her since her last visit, and this fake contract ruse is basically the village’s main way of actually petitioning change from the royals. (As a result they do actually like her quite a bit more which is why Miranda always gets her hopes up again.)

But the contract is for something that would be really really bad for Hell but like in a way that doesn’t seem obviously caused by them?? Probably because Hell completely dismisses the idea that the Merkingdom would actually do something to help its peasants. but anyway Hell gets a bit freaked and demands an alliance with the Merkingdom so they can help get things back. Specifically, marrying Miranda and Damien. As before Miranda refuses, but Bellanda and Laudanda remind her that Hell literally always betrays its allies so it’s just a matter of time before the call it off, and also this sets up a perfect situation for Miranda to be imprisoned and saved by her true love on a horse or something, so she shruggingly agrees.

BUT, conflict!!! The kings of hell were NOT informed that Damien was the currency and they are very very angry at the idea of their sweet baby boy being bartered off like that!! They take him out of the running and push Dahlia in instead, partially with the hope of curbing Dahlia’s ambitions by having her focus on conquering the Merkingdom instead. Miranda’s like whatever but Dahlia is NOT happy!!! She REFUSES to be second place to Damien in anything, and also it is her LIFE’S PASSION to conquer Hell; how is she going to do that from the Merkingdom?!

Dahlia goes to the meet up party where everyone’s wearing fancy dresses just so she can make it very clear she is NOT going along with this!!! She intends to jsut show up and punch out the guys involved and then leave but after she does that she realises that it’s Miranda and feels like she should at least talk to her. But she’s grumpy and takes it out on Miranda, who is still sorta uncertain about this whole thing, so sparks fly - and not (only) in the sexual tension way!! Dahlia insults the Merkingdom for being too prissy and weak, and Miranda for being too much like Damien that way as well, while Miranda becomes very offended and calls Dahlia a classless oaf and insults her willingness to wantonly slaughter people (tbh Miranda still isn’t that good at morality either but she is Angry and willing to take unjustified moral standards rn.)

Anyway Miranda goes back to her sisters fuming and insisting that all be called off! She could never, EVER fall in love with Dahlia Aquino!!!!!!! BUT, Laudanda is thoughtful. She tells Miranda that if she’s absolutely certain, they can do that. However... she has a sense that this could lead to a very good outcome. Particularly, ~true love~ for Miranda. Miranda assumes she means being rescued like they mentioned before, and hesitates. (But, ofc, Laudanda has already seen that Miranda and Dahlia will fall in love :) ) Amanda repeats that they can call it off if she really wants to, then falls silent. Miranda talks a little bit, and ends up talking herself out of it, just like Amanda is good at doing :)

Meanwhile Dahlia is mad but get convinced to keep it up just so she doesn’t like lose to Miranda or Damien somehow. The specifics don’t matter.

And thus, their whirlwind romance begins!!!!

Probably it begins with Dahlia reluctantly letting Miranda tag along with her while she hangs with her REAL friends: the Coven!!!! Joy isn’t too impressed with Another trouble-maker added along, but her Merkingdom royalty diplomacy skills actually end up being really helpful! (Dahlia is annoyed at not being able to fight their enemy but is cheered up when Miranda [or perhaps one of the PCs, who is trying their luck at matchmaking now?? or even Zoe lmao] convinces Dahlia that they actually metaphorically punched their anger or something.) Joy even says it’d be fine if Miranda joined and feels bad about saying that in front of Dahlia but then Dahlia is like ‘okay fine, I respect you now that we’re cult buddies’ and when Joy contradicts that Miranda verbally acknowledges her as a member of the club and then Hope or whoever is like ‘umm technically anyone in the coven can allow anyone else to join’ and Joy is MAD but whatever, Miranda isn’t really sure what’s going on but they are coven buddies :)

And then uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh there’s other stuff like maybe a callback to that event in MonProm. And maybe them eating food together. And DEFINITELY something abt Miranda finding Dahlia’s notebook with pink sparkly pen and finding it adorable!! And they realise they both have really similar tastes in a lot of things and go watch a Disney movie together <33

Plus there’s also like... Dahlia’s whole ‘haha you’re weak’ thing falls apart when Miranda always gets really impressed when Dahlia shows off her strength or whatever, and Dahlia really really enjoys that. (Like she said, she’s not really into the rivalmances!) She even enjoys teaching Miranda a bit because it means proof that she’s Better At That Thing, so Miranda gets to learn how to be a lil mor independent!! (OH maybe some of it starts bc Miranda wants to use a serf for something but Dahlia insists on doing it instead but Miranda feels bad making her do it so they compromise with Dahlia showing her?) And also Miranda shares some of what she’s been learning about treating serfs better, and Dahlia doesn’t much get it, but by explaining it to Dahlia Miranda finds herself understanding it better as well?

They end up having some long, deep conversations: Miranda talks about her difficulty living up to her sisters, and Dahlia admits that she’s jealous of her and Damien for having such loving family while she’s mostly been a loner, and that maybe her competitiveness with Damien is partly bc he’s just had being prince of hell handed to him and she doesn’t know if she’ll ever achieve anything that matches that no matter how hard she tries. Miranda admires her passion, but Dahlia admires Miranda’s ability to make connections with those around her, and they both enjoy the way they can live in the moment and enjoy the little things without shame!

EVENTUALLY it all culminates in like a big fancy monster ball/rave where everyone shows up!!!!! And somehow Miranda DOES end up trapped in a tower but like in a dumb ironic way that may or may not involve a pun. And Dahlia saves her!! And Miranda realises that DAHLIA was her true love all along!!!!!!!!!

But, CONFLICT!!!!!! due to mumble mumble circumstances, Hell has suddenly decided that Miranda has to marry Damien after all!!!! (Damien decided this for probably bad but at least vaguely serious reasons.) Dahlia gets super upset, because now this proves she’ll always be second to Damien, even in this matter which definitely doesn’t mean anything at all because she’s always hated Miranda!!!! (she yells this while sobbing and running away.)

OR!!!!!!! maybe actually Dahlia never heard that Damien was asked first (she was just mad about being pushed around by the kings of Hell) and Miranda realised that halfway through their courtship but didn’t mention it because she knew Dahlia would feel bad??? But now she feels awful because Dahlia heard about it int he worst way :(

And now Miranda feels so bad and guilty and sad and doesn’t know what to do. Like should she still marry Damien? For the good of her kingdom? Or maybe HE’S her actual true love??? She tries to force Laudanda to tell her what she predicted but she won’t say :( She goes to Amanda for help, but Amanda just sorta stays quiet and lets Miranda rant about all the conflicting things going on inside her until she realises that she really loves Dahlia and wants to be with her!!

And then Miranda has to go through some sort of trial testing all the things she and Dahlia learned together and win back her princess!!!!! And when she sees Miranda, Dahlia is so touched and impressed and realises that this means that she did beat Damien after all because Miranda chose her over him!!! It combines two of her favourite things in the world: beating Damien and kissing Miranda!!!!!! They make out :)

Together, they become a fearsome couple who defend their little baby village to the DEATH and are vicious to all outsiders <33333 The End~

Because Brian’s a zombie figuring out his age is kinda weird?? He doesn’t remember much about his life before death, but he thinks he was somewhere around 19 when he died. By the time Monster Prom takes place he’s around 21-22

Dahlia’s parents were so obsessed with taking the 8th circle of Hell from the LaVey’s that they ended up neglecting her for the most part, and that’s where most of her hatred for the LaVey’s really comes from. She probably doesn’t really realize it either, but since her and Damien are a lot more tolerable of each other in Monster Camp, maybe eventually she’ll open herself up to the idea

On that topic, there are several people who have been trying to convince Miranda of something similar - including Dahlia, Damien, Liam, Polly, Zoe, and Valerie. I would need a whole other post to go into detail about that tho so it’ll have to wait

Aaravi has been going to therapy regularly, and while it’s a slow burn getting her to deal with her issues in a healthy way, she’s come a long way at this point

In Monster Camp, once Hex is around, while they mostly just want to annoy Aaravi, part of them kinda wants to see her grow and get better. They probably wouldn’t admit that though.

Damien’s Dads are highkey the Replacement Father Figures for everyone in his friend group who’s father figure ended up being subpar or just wasn’t around anymore. This includes, but isn’t limited to; Polly, Miranda, Liam, and Vicky. Dahlia and Aaravi may also get accidentally get adopted by Damien’s dads someday too, if they ever open up enough to let it happen

I might make a whole post describing each individual’s relationship w Damien’s dads bc i find it wholesome and good

Also, 99% of these fuckers are touch starved to hell and back, so every so often when they hang out the end up in a Massive Platonic Cuddle Pile on the floor and they’re all just fine with it

okey, ya sabemos que Damian y Charlie serian primos, pero tambien me puse a pensar que probablemente Charlie pudo haber ido al baile de graduación igual que Damian! con su ex novio(el cual sigue siendo canon) y definitivamente Damian le pateo el trasero en cuanto se entero que terminaron😂

¡Dahlia Aquino y Charlie se conocen! de forma similar a con Damian, probablemente ella queria tener una rivalidad con ella por ser la literal hija de Lucifer, pero al ver el tipo de personalidad "Disney" de Charlie se rindio bastante rapido (mas cuando vio la gran diferencia de poder que hay entre los Aquino y los Morningstar).

en la actualidad Dahlia y Charlie se llevan bastante bien! Dahlia cree que Charlie deberia dejar de ser tan buena y unirse un poco a la violencia, pero mentiria si dijera que no le gusta los mimos de Charlie.

Monster Prom x Demon Fam, consider

Technically speaking I already decided that Monster High is off happening in its own little corner of Hell completely unchanged (ok maybe Damien and Dahlia have a couple of things that need to be changed but those are small details) because to be honest that would be 100% in keeping with both Demon Fam AND Monster Prom

But like I am also very tempted to imagine Goro, Haru, and Yusuke when they’re kids need to retrieve an artifact or something from Spooky Highschool and have their own little adventures based Goonies or IT (2020) while all the other stuff is happening. Ft events such as

Vera finding out about these three kids who were sold by their dads and is like “must... proteccc”

Hiding from Principal Giant Spider because he absolutely eats human children

Yusuke and Liam like having an art conversation.

Scott and Calculrster helping Haru garden and stuff

Kale also makes an appearance in this route to help the kids out like the chill older dude character from the aforementioned kids adventure movies and also I like Kale

Polly and Goro playing chess and Polly teaching Goro her secrets

Miranda and Haru being terrifying together

Zoe and Yusuke doing fan art

Idk the final event something bad happens because of the thing the kids are trying to find and everyone’s like ready to die for these three kids but they actually have the situation under control because like. Trained to fight by demon generals, guys. And they handle it

Prom night comes, you’re not planning to date anyone except the kids show up and set you up with their hot older brother, Arsene.

Later on during the Main Demon Fam plot, Yu and Aaravi have a “I blamed monsters/demons for the disappearance of my brother and took my anger out by trying to kill them but have now grown” bonding moment

To start off, there are two running themes people will notice in my ships: that I ship Miranda with a LOT of people, and tend to avoid shipping the PCs with anyone. It’s not that I totally dislike the PCs, but rather... I guess in them not really having any personalities to find within the game itself, I just find them much less compelling than every other character. I also just trend away from enjoying the PCs for that reason. I suppose they’re nice, but there’s nothing really to work with for them.

That said, my first ship and, honestly, main OTP for Monster Prom is: the poly ship. All of the PCs with all of the ROs in a big poly puddle. I’m a major poly shipper regardless, so this one was kind of a given, and particularly on the ROs’ ends, they work together so wonderfully and beautifully that it’s easy to imagine that they’re all already dating one another, and the PCs are just wanting to join the cuddle pile!

My second OTP, and the one I indulge most often though... Is Miranda x Liam. I’m predictable and I’ve loved their ship ever since I was first introduced to Monster Prom! There’s just something about how Liam tries to act all high and mighty yet genuinely cares, and Miranda’s dogged determination in including him in things and genuinely caring for him too. They’re just so sweet together, and they have one of my favorite things in any ship where they can learn from and grow from each other! It’s a specific kind of thing where two people can have their disagreements and even their fights, but be able to come back together and fix the wrongs and for them to both make the other into a better person. Liam’s seen a lot of stuff in the world, and has seen the downfalls of many empires and kingdoms, and can assist Miranda in a way that she sincerely needs, while Miranda has the optimism and simple joy to see the bright side and beauty in things. Hell, when I first saw the Prom King route, I was sure that Miranda was planning to ask Liam to Prom at the end, but... PC got asked along to be Prom Royalty instead.

I also have ships that do get preferential treatment, though they aren’t my cream-of-the-crop OTPs, so here they are, a bit more rapidfire:

Miranda x Valerie. Honestly this ship is right behind the other two OTPs in how much I love it, and it’s entirely @necrodanger​‘s fault with their (former) Val blog. Val’s honestly the single other character who has gotten the closest to Miranda, excluding Bellanda, and I kept the word/term ul’kiha from those roleplays!

Miranda x Eden. He may be an OC but @sacred-songbird​ knows how much I love these nerds together and how beautifully they work.

Polly x Faith. Tam knows what they’ve done and good GOD I love these two ladies together. The Coven is SO underappreciated and though canon paints the two as just friends with benefits, they genuinely work so well together and I LOVE mutual pining with neither party wanting to make a move out of fear of ruining their relationship. Love them.

Miranda x Damien. Since I’m a sucker for childhood friendship turned romantic, and also just the two being able to bond over the stressors of royal life and have an escape from it. I’m still wholly convinced that these two are one of the devs’ secret canon ships, and though it’s yet to be proven true, I have my suspicions.

Miranda x Calculester. @mindsmelded​ has SOLD ME on this ship. Calc is so wonderfully optimistic and bright and Miranda... Miranda has so many expectations and burdens and honestly there’s all the reason in the world for Cal to realize that Miranda is everything they stand against, and yet she has an anchor in them and is being given a new way to look at the world in a way that REALLY helps her. Nothing quite summarizes them like this one ask, of Miranda wearing Calc’s shirt with ‘ fragile but alive ’ on it. Just. God I never imagining liking this ship as much as I do.
